#this might be not that well-structured because I’m sleep deprivend and not that bright but#*takes deep breath*#Christine could easely be the homophobicest homobhobic horror to ever homophobic and horror#but it’s not#and that’s one of the things that make me love the movie so much#because. well. you know. from a quick glance. this looks like it would be another homophobic horror of the bunch#but it’s not. the villain is straight#and not only that. like. it’s pretty much queercoded villain 101 applied to a straight character#(diversity win! the horror movie about cars and rock’n’roll is not homophobic)#like. she lures this random naive dude. isolates him from his loved ones. and is straight up controlling him.#meanwhile the dude is just so freaking obsessive. to the point of scaring the people around him.#(also she’s the cause of his death because the dude needs to be punished for his relationship with villain. as one does)#and if the villain is a man#well. you know how i think that’ll turn out#now. i’m not saying that he would come and make the movie homophobic#but i mean. he might#pd: i’m also not saying that roland’s inclusion will automatically make the movie homophobic#but. if they decide to keep the toxic relationship thing *cough choug*grooming*cough cough* they had going on in the movie. well#it’s. it’s gonna be bad#christine 1983#me talking#talking on tags
