Sometimes I'll be watching the west wing and randomly remember that Bradley Whitford used to be friends with JFK Jr. in college and it just messes with my head for a bit.

I just finished reading Come to the Edge by Christina Haag and loved it! I must say, it is probably one I will end up reading again. Her gift with words paints the most beautiful pictures and creates the widest array of emotions. This book really does provide a deeper understanding of John that I did not previously have but I am, admittedly, sort of new to all things Kennedy. Theirs is a story of young love in extraordinary circumstances filled with adventures. When reading any Kennedy-related memoir, I am always a little weary of the intention of writing but she was nothing but gracious, respectful, and honest in her portrayal of such famed figures. We all know the ending but I found myself hoping that it would take place in an alternate universe in which timing is never an issue. I am realizing now that writing a sort-of review immediately after finishing a book makes me a little wordy and everyone probably just scrolled on by. However, if anyone has read it, I would love to hear your thoughts! I tend to get massive book hangovers and the best cure is to discuss it with people. If you haven’t read it, I highly recommend it!

‘Fragtime’ Anime Dub Cast Announced

On July 28, Sentai Filmworks announced the full English dub cast for Yuri OVA Fragtime and released an official clip.

Based on the manga of the same name by Sato, Fragtime is a theatrical OVA that premiered in Japan in November last year. The story follows high school student Misuzu Moritani, who can stop time for three minutes every day. One day while using her power, she discovers that Haruka Murakami can continue to move while time is stopped.

The anime was written and directed by Takuya Sato at Tear Studio. Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime for international release. The Blu-Ray including English subtitles and dubbing is scheduled for release on August 18.

  Synopsis:

America's most eligible bachelor, John Kennedy Jr, is taking the plunge into marriage with a wealthy girl-next-door. Kennedy couldn't get on bended knee to propose to his longtime girlfriend, Christine Haag - he was in the hospital nursing a leg injured while riding a bike. Instead, the handsome heir to the family fortune popped the question in bed as the girl of his dreams fluffed his pillow. A Kennedy intimate says: "Christina was fixing John's pillow and combing his hair and jokingly said, 'I don't know what you'd do without me,' to which John replied, 'I don't either, so why don't you marry me?' Not very romantic or dramatic, but typical John, just his sense of humor." Kennedy couldn't wait to tell his mother the news. "Jackie was overcome with joy," says a family insider. "She couldn't stop crying and hugging John and Christina." Christina is the daughter of a New York marketing executive. Friends say she and Kennedy had been considering marriage for some time, but were planning to wait until John, 27, completed his studies at New York University Law School. The fact that Kennedy was recently named "Sexiest Man Alive" might have hastened his decision to marry. According to several sources, the sudden barrage of attention put a strain on his two-year relationship with 27-year-old Christina. "Once, a woman came running up to John and knocked Christina down trying to hug and kiss him," a source says. "When Christina tried to get up, the woman kicked her. It was horrible. "Believe me," says the source, it wasn't a bunch of teeny-boppers on his trail - I'm talking about women like Princess Stephanie and Madonna." Although Kennedy was flattered by the attention, he wasn't comfortable with the adoring celebrity groupies. "John was very sensitive about how the hype was affecting Christina," says one pal. "He went out of his way to reassure and protect her. Not only is John incredibly kind, he's also very emotionally mature. He wasn't just doing Christina a favor- he's totally in love with her." Several sources say the couple plan a spring wedding but have not yet picked a date and want a low-key ceremony. Kennedy and Christina met while they were both at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Their shared passion for theatre provided a common ground. Took her to Florida to meet grandmother Since then the two have often been spotted around New York City, at street fairs or in Central Park. In 1985 they co-starred in an off-Broadway drama called Winners, in which Christina played his pregnant girlfriend. In 1986, she spent the summer in Washington, DC, with Kennedy before he took her to Florida to meet his grandmother, Rose Kennedy. "John was attracted to Christina immediately," says a mutual friend. "She's quiet - almost mysterious - yet she's full of life and energy. She's also very strong, very intelligent and very beautiful. John was smitten." Christina was wary, if not down- right indifferent, at their first meeting. "Chris and John were both cast in the same play," recalls a former classmate. "She expected John to be a rather ordinary and not terribly interesting preppy. She noticed he was good-looking, but so what?" By graduation, the two were a serious item and ever since have spent summers and vacations together whenever their schedules allow. This summer, they shared a house in Venice, California, where Christina pursued her acting and John interned at a prestigious law firm. "I've rarely seen two people so compatible," says a friend. "Their house was strewn with athletic props - an exercise bike, a rowing machine, dumb-bells, jump ropes - and cluttered with theatre publications, scripts, books on acting. "Two minds in definite sync - although neither one is much of a housekeeper - what a happy mess!" Christina attended Brearley School, an elite preparatory school in New York, before entering Brown. Not only does she have a similar social background to Kennedy, but she's also a Catholic. In fact, one Kennedy intimate says Christina resembles Jackie in many ways, with "the same elegant reserve, determination, wit and artistic temperament. "They're so much alike, it's a source of friction, sort of a battle of wills, yet they respect each other profoundly," says the family insider. Until the wedding day, the couple will live in Kennedy's Manhattan apartment while he completes his law degree and Christina develops her acting career. "Christina will have her hands full with her career and taking care of John" says a close friend. "He's a bit of a baby, which she loves - it brings out her maternal side."
