Christian Addiction Recovery Programs in Florida: Finding Hope and Healing at Faith Farm Ministries
Tumblr media
Addiction can be an overwhelming struggle, leaving individuals feeling hopeless and isolated. In many cases, it is not just the body but the spirit that needs healing. For those seeking a way out of addiction with the support of Christian values, Faith Farm Ministries offers a transformative solution. Serving the state of Florida, Faith Farm Ministries provides one of the most effective Christian addiction recovery programs in Florida, helping individuals break free from the chains of addiction through faith, community, and comprehensive treatment.
What Makes Christian Addiction Recovery Different?
Traditional addiction treatment focuses on a combination of medical interventions and psychological support. While this can be effective, many individuals struggling with addiction find that a holistic approach—one that addresses the mind, body, and spirit—is crucial to lasting recovery. This is where Christian addiction recovery programs shine.
At Faith Farm Ministries, the recovery process is centered around the teachings of Jesus Christ, encouraging individuals to find spiritual healing alongside physical and emotional restoration. This approach provides a solid foundation for lasting sobriety by helping individuals rediscover their purpose and connection to God, which can often be the missing piece in overcoming addiction.
Comprehensive Recovery Programs at Faith Farm Ministries
Faith Farm Ministries offers a range of addiction recovery services that cater to different needs, providing a personalized and supportive journey for every individual who comes through their doors.
Long-Term Residential Recovery The cornerstone of the Faith Farm Ministries program is its long-term residential recovery program, which spans approximately nine months. This immersive experience allows individuals to fully engage in a transformative process that not only addresses the symptoms of addiction but also focuses on healing the root causes, such as trauma, past hurts, and spiritual emptiness.
Biblical Counseling and Mentorship Faith Farm integrates Christian values into its recovery process, offering Bible-based counseling and mentorship. The spiritual guidance received during recovery helps individuals not only break free from addiction but also rediscover hope in Christ. The program is designed to help individuals rebuild their relationship with God, develop a sense of purpose, and cultivate a community of support through fellowship with others on the same path to recovery.
Life Skills and Vocational Training The ministry recognizes that lasting recovery involves more than just overcoming addiction. It’s about rebuilding one’s life. That's why Faith Farm Ministries also offers life skills and vocational training, empowering participants to gain the tools they need to lead a successful, sober life after completing the program. These skills help individuals transition back into society and secure stable employment, which can prevent relapse and encourage long-term success.
Aftercare Support Recovery doesn't stop once an individual completes a treatment program. Faith Farm offers comprehensive aftercare support, ensuring that each person has ongoing resources and guidance as they continue their journey. Aftercare services include continued counseling, spiritual guidance, and access to a community of individuals who are committed to their sobriety and personal growth.
Why Choose Faith Farm Ministries?
Faith Farm Ministries stands out among other addiction recovery programs in Florida for its comprehensive, Christ-centered approach. Here’s why it may be the right choice for you or a loved one:
Faith-Based Healing: The program is deeply rooted in Christian principles, focusing on both physical and spiritual restoration.
Free Services: Faith Farm Ministries offers its services at no cost to participants, removing financial barriers that might otherwise prevent someone from seeking help.

Find Your Path to Recovery
If you or a loved one is struggling with addiction, there is hope. Christian addiction recovery programs in Florida, such as those offered by Faith Farm Ministries, can provide the spiritual and practical support needed to overcome addiction and reclaim a life of purpose and joy. With a focus on faith, healing, and community, Faith Farm Ministries is committed to helping individuals achieve lasting recovery and experience the freedom found in Christ.

Nestle: Multinationals as the New Colonial Powers. A Tale of Many Cities [...]
In 2002 Nestle hired John Hedley, an ex-MI6 agent – British military intelligence – as Head of Security. Among other things, Hedley was responsible for organizing an operation to spy on civil society groups critical to Nestle in Switzerland, mainly the ATTAC group. When this operation was unveiled by a Swiss investigative journalist that denounced it in the Swiss TV, Nestle had to face a court case and was condemned by the Swiss justice for it. Nestle also developed what is known as the “War Room”, a high-tech communication centre that tracks in real time any mention to Nestle in social media, so that the company can react fast to any “threats” posed by people. [...]
In the 1970s an international boycott was launched against Nestle due to its practices of promoting bottle feeding and discouraging breast feeding, causing infant illness and death [...]. To fight this campaign Nestle hired Raphael Pagan, an Army Intelligence Officer at the US Department of Defense. Pagan advised US Presidents Nixon, Reagan, and Bush on Third World Policies [...]. Pagan received a Life Achievement Award from President Reagan [...].
In 2011 Nestle organized its annual “Creating Shared Values” conference in Washington in partnership with “The Atlantic Council” – a US based organization that brings together big business, politicians and the military. [...] The main panel discussion at this event was with Nestlé’s CEO Peter Brabeck and the President and CEO of The Atlantic Council Frederick Kempe, with the tilte: ‘Creating Shared Value in Latin America: Opportunities, Obstacles and Future Directions in Nutrition, WATER, Rural Development’ [...]
In Wellington County, Nestle Waters Canada has permission to extract 4.7 million litres of water a day in wells at Hillsburgh and Aberfoyle and according to Mike Balkwill from Wellington Water Watchers, “the company has applied to renew those permits, while it extracts water without the consent of Six Nations, on whose territory it operates, and despite public opposition from several indigenous organizations.” [...]
The situation is the same in Florida where although the local water authority considers that the water system is in recovery from over-exploitation, Nestle still wants to pump water from Ginnie Springs. The common pattern emerging from these and other cases – in the State of Michigan or in the small city of Sao Lourenço in Brazil – also shows that it is always local groups that defend water, not the State’s water or environmental authorities. On the contrary, [...] in many places Nestle “merges” with the local authorities, as in Maine where a Nestle manager was on the State’s environmental protection agency board [...]. Recently, the ex-Nestle’s Head of Public Affairs, Christian Frutiger, was appointed Vice-Director of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation – SDC, the Swiss Government Agency responsible for Development Aid programmes – where he will be responsible for SDCs Global WATER program! ORLANDO, Florida—Vice President Mike Pence rallied at a Latinos for Trump event here on Saturday as President Donald Trump now leads his Democrat opponent former Vice President Joe Biden in the Sunshine State.
“It’s great to be back in the Sunshine State with some great Americans who are going to drive a victory here in Florida and all across America,” Pence said as he took the stage here at Central Christian University. “Thank you, Latinos for Trump. I’m here for one reason, and one reason only: because Florida, and America, need four more years of Donald Trump in the White House. The road to victory runs right through Florida.”
Pence’s campaign swing through central Florida during which Breitbart News is traveling with him and is scheduled to interview him—he is also leading a Make America Great Again rally in the Villages later in the day—comes as the vice president has emerged as the Trump-Pence ticket’s top campaigner while the president continues his recovery from the coronavirus in the White House.
Other Trump campaign leaders and first family surrogates have also stepped up campaign activities as part of what the team calls “Operation MAGA.”
Donald Trump Jr., the president’s eldest son, for instance is hitting the trail aggressively this coming week with more than two dozen scheduled events crisscrossing the nation.
Trump is scheduled to later on Saturday hold his first public event, at the White House, since contracting the virus. Trump was diagnosed a little over a week ago—last Thursday—and then later was transferred last weekend to Walter Reed hospital to begin his recovery.
After beginning his treatment there with a dose of Regeneron’s antibody cocktail medication, and treatment with remdesivir and the steroid dexamethosone, Trump returned to the White House earlier this week to continue his recovery.
He began working again mid-week, visiting the Oval Office, and has also now started conducting interviews again as Friday he appeared on Rush Limbaugh’s and Mark Levin’s respective nationally broadcast radio programs as well as giving his first on-camera interview to Fox News’s Dr. Marc Siegel, which aired Friday evening on Tucker Carlson Tonight.
Trump will resume campaigning on Monday with a rally nearby here, in Sanford, Florida, his first time back on the trail since the infection.
But in the meantime, Pence—who earlier this week debated Democrat vice presidential contender Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) in Salt Lake City, Utah—is the top dog out there for the Trump campaign. This weekend Florida swing comes after a Thursday post-debate campaign trip to Arizona and Nevada, western states the president split with Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton in 2016. Trump won the former, and Clinton won the latter.
“I don’t know if you all got to see it, but I was just in Utah the other night—we had a little debate with Kamala Harris,” Pence told the cheering crowd here in Orlando. “Some people think we did alright. But I want to clear: From where I was sitting, that debate was not just a debate between two candidates for vice president. It was a debate between two visions for America.
Joe Biden and Kamala Harris want higher taxes, open borders, socialized medicine; they want to abolish fossil fuels, and use taxpayer funding to pay for abortion. They want to defund the police. President Donald Trump’s vision is a little bit different. President Trump says rebuild our military. We cut taxes; we rolled back regulations, unleashed American energy, secured our border, supported law enforcement, life and liberty and the Constitution of the United States. When you compare the Biden-Harris agenda with our agenda, the choice is clear.
If you cherish faith and freedom and law and order and life, then we need four more years of President Donald Trump in the White House.”Pence’s team is riding high into the Sunshine State, too, as the latest public polling here shows Trump leading Biden in the final weeks by three points. That poll, from Fox35, correctly predicted the 2008 and 2016 elections.
It show Trump performing strongly among Hispanic and black voters, but like other surveys it shows the president’s ticket underperforming 2016 numbers among seniors—a demographic that Biden is making a push for. Pence is working to hit both key demographics—Hispanics and seniors—with his pair of campaign events here on Saturday.
Helping energize Hispanic voters for the president are multiple factors, including a key endorsement in recent weeks from Puerto Rico’s Gov. Wanda Vazquez Garced—an endorsement Pence hyped here—and strong support in the Cuban community in the state.
Pence also made a key point to hype Trump’s word against Nicolas Maduro’s regime in Venezuela, and standing up the communists in Cuba.“Under President Donald Trump, we have stood for freedom across this hemisphere for all freedom-loving people,” Pence told the Latinos for Trump rally-goers here. “Under President Trump’s leadership, the United States was the first nation on earth to recognize President Juan Guaido as the only legitimate president of Venezuela. Under this president, America has been clear: Maduro must go and America will stand with the people of Venezuela.
Under Joe Biden as vice president, he served at a time when America was appeasing the communist regime in Havana. President Donald Trump kept the promise that he made to Cuban Americans when he reversed the failed policies of the last administration toward Cuba. In this White House, it will always be Que Viva Cuba Libre.

He also hyped economic successes the Trump administration has delivered for Hispanics.
“Nearly half of the jobs that were created in our first three years went to Hispanic Americans,” Pence said. “That’s what we call promises made and promises kept. So I’m excited to talk to you about that and see the enthusiasm here today on this cool and breezy day in Florida. President Trump is keeping his promises. It’s why Puerto Rico Gov. Wanda Vazquez Garced just endorsed President Donald Trump for re-election as President of the United States. This week, the governor of Puerto Rico asked people in that territory to vote for who’s been there for Puerto Rico in its most difficult moments. She said very plainly it is Donald Trump.
She thanked the president for rebuilding Puerto Rico not just with words but with actions. She said thanks to the president’s leadership, pharmaceutical manufacturing is coming back to the island. China is fired and Puerto Rico is hired.”
These events along the I-4 corridor, which stretches from Daytona through Orlando down to Tampa, are key to the Trump team wooing seniors back from clutches of Biden and the Democrats. A key focus from Pence’s messaging on the trail is zoning in on just how radical the left truly is, and what that would mean for the general public if Biden and Harris were to win and be able to implement their agenda.
That’s something Pence focused on in Wednesday’s debate with Harris, putting her on the hot seat on court-packing, fracking, China, and her questionable-at-best record as a prosecutor in San Francisco and in California.
The vice president’s trip here also comes less than two days before Judge Amy Coney Barrett is set to begin her confirmation hearings before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Monday morning, after Trump nominated her a couple weeks ago to be the next Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. Democrats and the establishment media have unleashed a barrage of vicious attacks against Barrett, targeting her faith and even her adopted children, in what is expected to be a fierce showdown in the Senate and in the public eye just before the election.
“Last month as a nation we paused to honor the life and service of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg,” Pence told the cheering crowd here. “When the memorials were over, President Trump fulfilled his duty under the Constitution of the United States and he nominated a principled, brilliant, conservative woman who believes in the Constitution to the Supreme Court. He nominated Judge Amy Coney Barrett.
”As “Fill That Seat” chants broke out among the crowd, Pence turned and promised them that Trump and the GOP-controlled Senate will get it done. “Let me make you a promise: After the Senate gets done with the advisement and consent, we’re going to fill that seat,” Pence told the crowd which erupted in applause.“I got to tell you, I’m a big fan of Judge Amy Coney Barrett—not just because she’s from Indiana, but she’s a truly remarkable person,” Pence continued.
“She deserves a dignified hearing, a dignified and respectful hearing in the United States Senate. But, men and women, we have reason to be concerned. You all remember when she was appointed to the court of appeals just two years ago, the Democrat chairman of the Judiciary Committee criticized her Catholic faith. Sen. Dianne Feinstein said ‘the dogma lives loudly within you.’ Hollywood elites have already begun to criticize Judge Barrett and her family for their faith. Well, I got news for the Democrats and their friends in Hollywood: That dogma lives loudly in me.
That dogma lives loudly in you. That’s the right to live and to worship according to the dictates of our faith lives loudly in the Constitution of the United States.
”The president has the lead in Florida—and its 29 electoral votes are crucial to his path to re-election. Assuming the president can keep Georgia, Texas, and Arizona red—those are three traditionally red states that Biden and Democrats hope to flip—and hold onto Iowa, Ohio, North Carolina, and here in Florida, along with Maine’s Second District, he would be one state away from locking down a second term in the White House.Public polling out of Georgia and Texas show those two states firmly back in the president’s column, after months of concern on both, and Arizona seems to be trending back that way too with a recent Trafalgar Group poll this week showing Trump back in the lead there.
The Trump campaign feels so confident about Iowa and Ohio, too, that they pulled down television ad buys in both states to focus resources more effectively elsewhere. North Carolina’s public polling has been shifting back Trump’s way, too, all while the Democrats’ U.S. Senate candidate there Cal Cunningham is rocked by a serious sexting scandal that has found him under investigation by the U.S. Army Reserves for the inappropriate relationship with an enlisted serviceman’s wife.
Public polling out of Maine’s Second District, from the Bangor Daily News, shows the president with a healthy 8 percent lead over Biden. If Trump holds all those plus all the other traditional red states together, he would be at 260 electoral votes and winning just any one of the upper rust belt states—Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, or Minnesota—would put him over the top of the required 270 electoral votes necessary to win re-election.

Eleven More Coming Home after Hurricane Michael during COVID-19
Panama City, FL. -- Hope Panhandle and SBP is pleased to bring four more families home this week after 19 months away following Hurricane Michael, with two more projects being completed in the coming weeks. Completion will bring to eleven the number of homes to be rebuilt since mid-March when the COVID-19 pandemic forced staff and AmeriCorps members to work remotely and temporarily halted the volunteer program.
The Volunteer Florida Foundation Disaster Fund, Hope Panhandle, Habitat for Humanity of Bay County, Lutheran Disaster Response, and Rebuild Bay County made these rebuilds possible by their funding of the project and assistance with homeowner expenses. Volunteers who dedicated their time came from all over the country and included partners such as Grifols, Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, and Marquette University, while AmeriCorps members led the groups through the task of rebuilding before COVID-19.
Due to COVID-19, the proven-effective model of rebuilding homes utilizing volunteer labor has shifted. For SBP, relying more on local subcontractors has allowed for the safe completion of projects. This was to minimize contact, slow the spread of the virus, and keep community members safe. Now more than ever, home is essential. Connecting dots and getting creative - from a distance - has allowed for more families to have a safe place to shelter.
If you would like more information about how you can get involved in future rebuilds, or if you are a homeowner in need of assistance rebuilding from damages caused by Hurricane Michael, call 850-252-6202.
About SBP
Since its founding in 2006 in St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana, following the devastation wrought by Hurricane Katrina, SBP has rebuilt homes for more than 2,203 families in 13 communities across the United States, Puerto Rico, and Grand Bahama.
SBP's mission is to shrink the time between disaster and recovery through five interventions: Rebuilding efficiently; Sharing our model with other organizations; Preparing home and business owners through resilience training; Advising municipal and state officials and Advocating for policy changes and improvements to the disaster recovery industry. To achieve our mission, SBP takes a holistic approach to disasters—increasing resilience before and streamlining recovery after.
About HOPE Panhandle
After Hurricane Michael, a group of local volunteers established the non-profit, Hope Panhandle, committed to offering relief and recovery to the Florida Panhandle. What began as serving meals and offering items of necessity by Hope Panhandle, transitioned into rebuilding efforts. Hope Panhandle merged into a construction operation by following the model adopted by SBP, the Toyota Production System which allows the organization to shrink the time from disaster to recovery for their homeowners.
About Volunteer Florida Foundation
Following Hurricane Andrew, the Volunteer Florida Foundation was created to raise funds to support high-impact national service programs and promote volunteerism throughout the state, with its specific fund - Florida Disaster Fund - which was established to help communities respond to and recovery from emergency or disaster. Its vision is for Floridians to be engaged, communities transformed, and Florida to be a better place to live.
About Habitat for Humanity of Bay County Florida, Inc.
Habitat for Humanity of Bay County Florida, Inc. is an ecumenical Christian organization that welcomes volunteers from all faiths who are committed to helping Habitat in its mission of eliminating poverty housing. With the help of hundreds of volunteers, Habitat builds decent and affordable houses for people in need. Homes are sold with no profit made. Homeowners contribute “sweat equity” and their no-interest mortgage payments are recycled into the ‘Fund for Humanity’ to build additional homes.
About Lutheran Disaster Response
Lutheran Disaster Response brings God’s hope, healing, and renewal to people whose lives have been disrupted by disasters in the United States and around the world. Alongside Messiah Lutheran Church, the Florida-Bahamas Synod Disaster Response is providing much-needed assistance to restore the lives of siblings in Christ in the Panhandle.
About Rebuild Bay County
Rebuild Bay County Inc. started organizing shortly after Hurricane Michael in October 2018, officially standing up as an organization in March 2019. Its mission is to provide critical resources for the Bay County community during the Hurricane Michael extensive recovery process. RBCI expects to be there each step of the way to facilitate the rebuilding of hope, hearts, and homes. It has served as an umbrella organization for nonprofits aiding residents in recovery.

Sober Living Home near Lehigh Acres FL
If you're looking for a Sober Living Home near Lehigh Acre, Florida, you've come to the right place. Serenity Recovery Living offers a safe and affordable living environment for people in recovery. Unlike traditional institutions, these residences help members transition back into society. Residents in such homes have daily responsibilities to their neighbors. They're also subject to rules and regulations that govern group living. Twelve-step recovery and abstinence-based living are also promoted.
There are many different treatment centers in the area. Lee County Treatment Center is one of them. Their outpatient programs focus on the underlying causes of the issues. These programs include individual counseling, group counseling, education, and support groups. They also offer job counseling, financial services, legal aid, and spiritual guidance. This is a great choice for those who want to work while undergoing treatment. But what makes these centers so effective?
Sober Living homes offer a comfortable and safe environment for those in recovery. Licensed professionals help residents overcome their addictions and build a new life. They provide spiritual and professional support to ensure lasting sobriety and restoration. A recovery residence is the best place to work on reaching your full potential. You won't find anything else like it anywhere else. There's no substitute for a safe and caring place to work through the challenges of reintegrating into society.
The pastors at New Life and Recovering Lives agree that the problem is the individual's belief system, not the addiction itself. They both believe that drug use is spiritual and that people who become sober will begin to experience a connection with the spirit world. A Christian-based faith community, Recovering Lives, is a great place to start a recovery from addiction. And you won't regret it.
The Crossroads Sober Living Home in Lehigh Acres offers more services than typical sober living homes. This residential facility offers a sober environment where people can learn and develop important life skills that will help them maintain their sobriety. For example, residents learn to manage their daily lives, find gainful employment, and manage household chores. These are essential life skills that young adults need to succeed in their recovery.
When choosing a Sober Living Home in Lehigh Acres, FL, consider the rules that the home has for its residents. These will vary from one sober environment to another. In Florida, sober homes require residents to abide by a number of rules that are meant to support their recovery. Most often, these rules will include maintaining sobriety, attending support groups, and respecting others.
While it may be hard to choose the best Sober Living Home near Lehigh Acre and Lee County, FL, the SWFL Men's Rehab offers a supportive and encouraging environment for people in recovery. It emphasizes community service, and aims to prepare recovering addicts for the challenging job market. It provides a temporary home for individuals who need a break from addiction. The staff of the SWFL Men's Rehab provides these resources and more.

Selah House is an eating disorder recovery facility meant for girls and women ages 12 and older. Selah House is in Indiana and calls itself "Christian-based", though they say they accept girls and women of all faiths or no faith as well. The facility offers a few different treatment programs, including one specifically for teens, partial hospitalization, inpatient and residential, and aftercare. Their website, selahhouse.com, has a number of resources on eating disorders and the way they go about treatment as well as a facility tour, information on admission, and commitment to transition and aftercare. Their about page lists equine and art therapy and yoga as offered programs, and you can see the horses and yoga in this video on their home page.
However, for all of the benefits and testimonials that the website provides, it may not be a complete picture. Many Google reviews give the facility a one-star rating and say that they regret going there or sending their loved ones for treatment. Several people talk about how they felt the staff were unprofessional or untrained; others said they felt like they were doing all the religious work themselves or made no true progress in battling their disorders, potentially even falling further. One thing I noticed in many reviews was that the length of stay varied between one week to a few months, but no one seemed to stay longer than that. The facility has a 3.5 star rating on Google. Facebook reviews show a bit more positivity with an overall rating of 4.6 stars; one woman even admits to naming her daughter Selah after the facility. One thing that stood out to me though was the mention in several reviews and comments about girls having multiple stays at the facility. It seems to me that if their treatments were truly working and their aftercare programs effective, no one would need to come back, right?
It's difficult for me to make any sort of comment on whether or not Selah House is actually a good place for treatment of eating disorders in girls and women. With no personal experience in either eating disorders or staying there, I can only rely on the mixed testimonies of the patients and their loved ones. I would certainly expect a place that claims to be faith-based to have more Christian aspects involved though, which doesn't seem to necessarily be the case; on the other hand, it does make sense that not everything would be religious when they accept girls of other/no faiths.
Selah House is by no means the only faith-based treatment center for eating disorders. First-page Google results for "faith-based recovery programs for eating disorders" include Timberline Knolls in Illinois, The Center - A Place of HOPE in Washington, and Canopy Cove in Florida. There are faith-based recovery programs out there for other things besides eating disorders, too, Alcoholics Anonymous being perhaps the most famous example. I think it's nice that people can find ways to really incorporate their faith in their attempts at recovery for various disorders, but I think it can also set a dangerous precedent when programs like Alcoholics Anonymous make it seem like the only way to recover is through God. It can set up a lot of guilt and fear in the minds of people who already feel bad enough, not to mention the low success rates of traditional 12-step programs. Places like Selah House that offer options for everyone, Christian or not, may be a good way to bridge that gap and provide the comfort of religion to those who seek it rather than those who feel pushed into it.

My Story In Seven Chapters: “Underneath The Marks”
Ch.1 Flowery Sheets
Sometimes late at night I’d pretend to fall asleep on the bottom of my mom and dad’s bed just so my dad could carry me in with his strong arms and warm heart. I remember my childhood as an old movie playing on the screen of a projector dropping in and out of my consciousness. Growing up in a large family I was often overlooked, and quiet, so if you could imagine it was easy for me to feel invisible. From a young age I’ve learned to pretend, to disconnect, to venture into a world of my own. I had imaginary friends who were fairies that followed me everywhere. I hid under books, and stuffed animals as my older brother shot up heroin and older sister got drunk in the upstairs attic.Cop cars lights were a common presence in my driveway but I didn’t mind because at least my brothers and sisters would be safe from the drugs that way.  On the hard days, I remember the flowery pink sheets I kept myself in, the silhouette of my own hand comforting my soul. I remember holding my bunny tight as my mom sang me Amazing Grace as I fell asleep. I remember begging my brother Jeremy to open the bathroom door when he was shooting up Heroin one time, and the day he stole my babysitting money for drugs. Then, came the day I asked where he was and my mom freaked out because she had forgotten about him and suddenly... he was gone. Actually gone. I was twelve and didn’t know much about death (I mean what twelve year old should), but I knew that he had been sick for a really long time and that he was finally finally free and that made me happy and sad at the same time.
Ch. 2  Scratchy Beards
When my dad told me he got sick with Cancer, I sort of thought it was okay because that meant he’d be at home more. That meant he would actually make us real dinners instead of having hot pockets every night and cold burnt spaghetti. Between the ages of twelve and fifteen I filled my life with making origami, twirling, and writing songs about pretty girls, fairy dust and sunshine. I hated when my dad came to my school because he had to carry around this huge oxygen tank with plastic wires creeping out of his nose, and I pretended I didn’t know him. I still feel bad about that to this day. The most iconic thing about my dad other then him being secretly gay (which I didn’t know about until now), was his scratchy beard and large tattooed forearm. I miss his hugs most of all, maybe that’s why hugging people feels wrong at times--no one’s hugs are quite like his were. My mom and dad left for Europe to seek alternative cancer treatment the last year he was alive. This just so happened to be when my sister got sober. As she was parenting her own baby boy out of wedlock, she also was supposed to be parenting me. In a flash of an instant,  me and all my siblings gathered around his hospital bed and sang Amazing Grace to his subconscious mind through the rumbling of the machines keeping him alive. Walking out of the ICU each of us said “see you later’ because we all knew it wasn’t goodbye. I guess, not really. On the Christmas morning before tenth grade,  he had left us and I felt my heart shatter into a million pieces. I had told myself a few days before that if he didn’t call me beautiful one last time, then something just something was wrong with me. I knew exactly how I was going to change that.
Ch. 3 Safety Pins
I forgot to mention, that while my mom was saving my dads life in Europe I had decided to try to change my own, in the only way I knew how. I decided to stop being the good invisible quiet christian girl and become someone who was seen. At the time, I believed I just wanted to make friends, yah know..be a part of something-- but in a desperate need to distract myself from the losses I endured I had to find a way to become alive again. I self harmed for the first time at fifteen and didn’t think much of it, I thought it was cool and something other people in my friend group did. I didn’t know safety pins weren’t all that safe, I didn’t know hurting myself would become an addiction I’d struggle with for the next six years of my life. I thought that if people saw the pain on my body they could hear me asking for help. Even as I hid under long sleeves and smiles and laughter I started to feel the deeply distant darkness pull me away from myself. Even though I thought I didn’t want anyone to know about it, I felt as though I was screaming yet I wouldn’t allow any sound to come out.
Ch. 4 Porcelain Bowls
A few months after my dad died my mom ran off to Florida every weekend with her new but old boyfriend whom she had been with before my dad 30 years earlier. At the cost of losing my dad, and subsequently losing my mom, I found solace in toilet bowls and diet colas. My friends and I had sort of made a game of it, we’d talk about dieting and then talk about feeling bad for giving into the diets and then feel bad for feeling bad. What started off as a game between friends, began to become a dangerous game of Russian roulette. I remember high school as a blur of calories, cheese puffs, and washing my hands in sinks. I kissed boys that I pretended to like behind tennis courts and eventually began treatment for my eating disorder and self harm during my senior year of high school. I got better ( or so I thought), but beneath the perfect recovery girl I created, laid a deep fear of still not being seen, still not being heard.
Ch. 5 False Safety
I went to college and fell in love with a girl I didn’t pretend to love and went to therapy twice a week. This is a time in my life I like to call “False Safety” because although I felt somewhat okay, I was relying on others around me to take care of me, I never learned to do it myself. I ran around college from club to club pretending to be the recovered girl I thought I had to be, but others couldn’t see what was truly underneath. During therapy I was being seen and loved and everything felt okay... but outside of that small room I believed I was alone. I mean, I  thought things were better, and they were... yet I continued to run from the pain through self harm. I craved so much attention from my girlfriend that if I did not get to be her world, I felt I couldn’t be with her at all. I was so scared of her leaving me like my mom did, I left her before she got the chance too. Back when I was ten, I waited for hours and hours for my mom to pick me up at camp and as each car passed by  and it was not her my disappointment grew deeper. In my adulthood I learned to instead stop waiting for her--or anyone,  I decided to run away and never be found because then I wouldn’t have to face being abandoned.
Ch.6 The Pink Room
It was a month or so after the breakup and I hid behind doorways so I wouldn’t have to see her look away from me. I hid in bathrooms during panic attacks and cried into my cereal in the back of the cafeteria. My world stopped when my therapist told me she was moving (leaving me is what I heard). I had completely attached myself to her and I felt that the one person in my life that truly saw me was leaving. Leaving. People are always leaving me I thought. I decided to fill up the hole she left with alcohol in coffee cups and pills and more cuts and more fake smiles and more “recovery” articles and speaking engagements. It wasn’t enough. None of these things were ever really enough. In the week my therapist left me, I decided to get as drunk as I could and pretend to be happy and flirt with boys I didn’t know because that would make everything better right? I didn’t know the boy with black hair was seven years older than me. October 13th October 13th October 13th. I didn’t know he’d be so mean and when the drinking game got out of hand I didn’t have the capability to say yes or no. I didn’t know walking drunkenly into that pink room, he’d hurt me the way he did. It wasn’t rape, but it was terrifying, violent, awfully painful physically and emotionally.  He was a giant dog playing with a glass doll and he shattered me into a million pieces, he shattered my fake smile right off my face.
Ch. 7 Letting Love In
From October 2017 to May 2018, everything was a blur. A blur of multiple treatment programs for depression, anxiety, and the sexual assault. The Eating Disorder came back stronger and more powerful than ever and this time I was determined to run as far away as I could from that pink room and from the therapist that left me. After a week in the psych ward I thought I could get better on my own with the eating disorder, I thought that I could control my out-of-control-ness. In February 2018, I told my mom I was going to go to treatment, but would wait until Monday. Suddenly, I had a thought, an urge, a quiet voice in the back of my head telling me to go that Friday instead, which I did. I entered treatment for the millionth time and was quickly rushed to the ER for low potassium. It was late at night and no one in my family was picking up the phone. I was in an unknown ER, half asleep, half dead and I still didn’t feel sick enough. There was an IV stuck in my arm and doctors telling me my levels were life threateningly low and I still didn’t feel like I was ‘that bad’. I don’t know if I’d be alive right now, if God hadn’t told me to go that Friday. He truly saved my life. From that point on, I started listening to that quiet voice. A month or so of running from God, one suicide attempt and many family therapy sessions later I decided to go to Selah House. I finally decided to give up the demons that had become my identity. I decided to let love in again. I decided that I could only be free if I let myself be. I could only get better on God’s terms. I know now that I had to fight the ED, Depression, Self harm, PTSD, Anxiety, and Addiction with God by my side only. I know now that what went on in that pink room was not my fault, and I don’t have to be ashamed of it or put blame on myself in any way. Here at Selah is where I’ve found hope. Here, I’ve found healing. Here, I’ve found love. Love between God, others and myself. I know now that it was never actually about the food, the numbers, or the marks. I know that I have a future, a future of helping others heal in the same ways I did. A future full of laughter, crying, heartache, touch, and love. All of my life has really been what’s in between. In between moments of exhale, of tears running down my face, of dad hugs, and Real smiles. These things are all a part of my story but they are not at the core of who I really am.  My life was never meant to be a sad story because I’m not that girl anymore. I am healing, I am tough skin made of scars, I am endless nights crying and glorious mornings shining like nothing bad has ever happened. I am becoming free, becoming Real and I have so much yet to learn about the spaces in between.

Sources for thousands of Detroit residents without water access for years; Detroit lead poisoning; history of how Nestle conquered Michigan water; and how Flint residents pay the state more in utility fees in a single month for water access in a single household than Nestle pays the state in an entire year to extract 130 million gallons of water.
Tumblr media
A response to this:
Tumblr media
I hope these sources might help.
Just for geographic context:
Tumblr media
---------------------
Nestle, which earns over $7 billion in annual bottled water sales, pays a once-a-year $200 administrative fee to extract over 130 million gallons of water from Evart, while people are poisoned and die in nearby Flint, where a single months’ water utility bill is over $200.
[Source: Jessica Glenza. “Nestle pays $200 a year to bottle water near Flint -- where water is undrinkable.” The Guardian. 29 September 2017.]
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Flint became synonymous with lead-poisoned water after government officials, looking to save money, switched the city’s water supply from Detroit city water to water from the corrosive Flint river. Once the city had switched, the number of children with elevated lead exposure doubled; residents reported unexplained rashes and losing hair. An unpublished study recently found fetal deaths in Flint increased by 58% during the crisis. [...] Despite having endured lead-laden tap water for years, Flint pays some of the highest water rates in the US. Several residents cited bills upwards of $200 per month for tap water they refuse to touch. But just two hours away, in the tiny town of Evart, creeks lined by wildflowers run with clear water. The town is so small, the fairground, McDonald’s, high school and church are all within a block. But in a town of only 1,503 people, there are a dozen wells pumping water from the underground aquifer. This is where the beverage giant Nestle pumps almost 100,000 times what an average Michigan resident uses into plastic bottles that are sold all over the Midwest for around $1. To use this natural resource, Nestle pays $200 per year. Now, Nestle wants more Michigan water. In a recent permit application, the company asked to pump 210 million gallons per year from Evart, a 60% increase, and for no more than it pays today. [...] In a state where officials denied Flint’s water was poisoned with lead; where Detroit residents choose between heat and water; where the water-borne, pneumonia-like legionnaire’s disease killed a dozen; and where gastrointestinal bugs spread among residents who lacked (or didn’t trust) water, Nestle’s request seemed like salt on a wound.
-------------------------
While thousands in Detroit have no water access, even people with water access have high rates of lead poisoning; in one Detroit zip code in 2017, 22% of tested children exhibited lead poisoning.
[Source: Karen Bouffard and Christine MacDonal. “Detroit kids’ lead poisoning rates higher than Flint.” The Detroit News. 14 November 2017.]
Tumblr media
Detroit had Michigan’s highest proportion of children test positive for lead poisoning in 2016 — 8.8 percent of kids tested — including one ZIP code where 22 percent were found to have lead poisoning. Data from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services show children are being sickened by lead in counties from Manistee to Hillsdale and St. Clair, though the rates of lead poisoning in Flint continue to improve.
---------------------------
In 2020,  Michigan institutions and judges continue to allow Nestle to pay minor administrative fee of $200 per each water extraction facility, as Nestle extracts over half a million gallons every single day from single individual wells (ie: just one annual fee of $200 for the Evart well).
[Source: Garret Ellison. “Nestle wins legal challenge to Michigan groundwater extraction.” MLive. 28 April 2020.]
A state administrative judge has upheld a permit that allows global food and beverage giant Nestle to boost the amount of Michigan groundwater it extracts for sale under the Ice Mountain bottled water brand. In a decision dated April 24 [2020], Judge Dan Pulter ruled that Nestle’s plans to withdrawal 576,000 gallons of groundwater per day from the headwaters of two cold water trout streams in Osceola County will not negatively impact the surrounding natural resources. Concerns were raised about potential impacts to Muskegon River watershed and the tiny $200 annual paperwork fee Nestle pays per facility to extract millions of gallons of Michigan groundwater to sell for profit. [...] Much of the broader opposition was from those upset that Nestle could source groundwater at essentially no cost while people in Flint were drinking water contaminated by bacteria and lead, and low-income residents of Detroit were having their taps shut off for non-payment.
--------------------------
Nestle pumped over 2.5 billion gallons from a Mescota County well; Nestle has now pumped over 1 billion gallons from the Evart wells; the Osceola well now supplies millions of gallons a year.
[Source: Garret Ellison. “Nestle in Michigan: Unpacking the water battle backstory.” MLive. 26 December 2016. Updated 20 May 2019.]
Nestle made a deal [...] to drill four high-capacity wells at their 600-acre private hunting preserve in Morton Township [...]. The water is pumped 12 miles west to Stanwood. [...] The Sanctuary wells pumped more than 2.5 billion gallons between 2005 and 2015. [...] Nestle pumped at 400 gallons-per-minute until Mecosta County Judge Lawrence Root ordered it stopped in 2003 [...]. When Judge Root ordered the pumping stopped, Nestle looked north for another supply. The company found a willing partner in the city of Evart, which has sold Nestle more than 905 million gallons of Twin Creek spring water [...]. Evart wells have accounted for roughly a quarter of Nestle's total Michigan supply since 2005, but in 2014 Nestle discovered traces of perchlorate in its water. The toxic chemical, which is linked to thyroid problems in women and children, came from the Evart well field, which became contaminated with decades of Fourth of July fireworks ash. [...] When Nestle shut down one of its Evart wells because of the pollution, it looked to offset the capacity loss by increasing the pumping rate of an older well it owns in Osceola Township, [...] Nestle did not really use it much until 2011. Since then, the well has supplied more than 45 million gallons. Almost 70 percent of that total volume was pumped in 2015 alone.
-----------------------------------
To gain uninhibited access to water extraction sites, Nestle merges with local government institutions and deliberately targets rural, isolated, or “economically-depressed” communities.
[Source: Franklin Frederick. “Nestle: Multinationals as the New Colonial Powers. A tale of Many Cities.” Defend Democracy Press. 22 December 2019.]
In Wellington County, Nestle Waters Canada has permission to extract 4.7 million litres of water a day in wells at Hillsburgh and Aberfoyle and according to Mike Balkwill from Wellington Water Watchers, “the company has applied to renew those permits, while it extracts water without the consent of Six Nations, on whose territory it operates, and despite public opposition from several indigenous organizations.” [...] The situation is the same in Florida where although the local water authority considers that the water system is in recovery from over-exploitation, Nestle still wants to pump water from Ginnie Springs. The common pattern emerging from these and other cases – in the State of Michigan or in the small city of Sao Lourenco in Brazil – also shows that [...] in many places Nestle “merges” with the local authorities, as in Maine where a Nestle manager was on the State’s environmental protection agency board [...]. Recently, the ex-Nestle’s Head of Public Affairs, Christian Frutiger, was appointed Vice-Director of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation – SDC, the Swiss Government Agency responsible for Development Aid programmes – where he will be responsible for SDC’s  Global WATER program! [...]
--------------------------------------
The source of America’s corporate water crisis can be traced back to 1976 when Perrier, now owned by Nestle, opened an office in New York. By 2016, bottled water sales had surpassed soda as the largest US beverage category [...]. Nestle Waters’ 2018 worldwide sales exceeded $7.8 billion. [...] Ultimately, the debate’s particulars lead back to a question at the heart of the issues: should water be commodified and sold by private industry, or is it a basic human right? Former Nestle chief executive and chariman Peter Brabeck labeled the latter viewpoint “extreme” and  called water a “grocery product” that should “have market value.” He later amended that, arguing 25 liters of water daily is a “human right,” but water used [for purposes other than drinking, bathing, etc.] shouldn’t be free. [Source: Tom Perkins. “The fight to stop Nestle from taking America’s water to sell in plastic bottles.” The Guardian. 29 October 2019.]
--------------------------------
Tens of thousands of Detroit residents have been without water access since 2014; Detroit water contaminated with giardia, shigellosis, lead; Detroit administrators refused until the pandemic to even declare the water shutoffs a “public health issue,” and Michigan officials blame poor people for spending money on “luxury cell phones” instead of their water utility bills.
[Source: Nina Misuraca Ignaczak. “Detroit Water Shutoffs and a Crisis of Public Health.” Belt Magazine. 9 March 2020.]
The water crisis in Detroit began in earnest in 2014, during the city’s bankruptcy proceedings, when the DWSD abruptly shut off water service to tens of thousands of Detroit residents for nonpayment. [...] But activists have been fighting for years to get the city to recognize water shutoffs as a matter of public health. [...] Since the start, Bouier and other water activists have been fighting a narrative that assigns blame primarily to those impacted by the shutoffs. Early on, officials perpetuated the idea that residents were simply lazy and irresponsible. One official suggested that Detroiters should go down to the Detroit River with a bucket to fetch water. Then-emergency manager Kevyn Orr suggested that customers would rather pay for “luxuries” like cell phones than water. [...] As of early March [2020], activists had renewed their calls to the governor to enact a moratorium [on water utility shutoffs in Detroit], linking poor sanitation to an increased risk of Coronavirus. “Michigan residents have particular reason to fear the  spread of coronavirus because the ongoing deprivation of tens of thousands of people from basic access to water and sanitation […]” the group’s statement reads. “Residents deprived of water in their homes have been sharing or borrowing water at an alarming  rate – 80% in one study – creating a transmission path for coronavirus, as  well as hepatitis A, shigellosis, campylobacter, and giardia, all of which have been plausibly linked to the shutoffs by health officials.”

christian drug rehab centers for boys: Get yourself a rehab session when an addiction dominates you
Addiction is no more an unheard jargon:
With a number of stress-evolving issues going all around along with the tough pandemic today, a lot of people are knowingly choosing some sort of harmful habits thinking it will end their tension one day. Despite a lot of campaigning, awareness programs on addiction recovery, in some corners of the society you will see addiction growing with no trace of ending. Now that is the point, where our substance abuse treatment Florida comes into action.
Any habit that goes beyond the limit becomes an addiction and addiction is nowhere a healthy activity for a person, So, we better work on eradicating those habits instead of justifying its timely effect on our lives. As addictions like alcohol, drugs, some terrible injections biologically react with human brain cells and give an instant happy feeling, so many people feel that addiction is the best way to achieve happiness in life.
It is amazing, when we know what triggers you for addiction:
Knowing about the reasons promoting an addiction is very much essential as with this we get some idea what to add in the rehabilitation program. As addiction is not a social disease hampering one particular gender of the society, it is better we have an overall knowledge on the reasons behind an addiction so that we can help ourselves as well as someone dearer to us. So the reasons could be:
Many people start a habit with no aim of making it an addiction, but over time it becomes an addiction. So, substance abuse addiction rehab Florida says it never takes a lot of time for a habit to transform into addiction, especially in cases of consuming abusive substances.  So, make sure, you watch yourself if your habit is becoming an addiction. Dealing with mental illness, some people get addicted with drug-composed opioids. Though those are doctors prescribed, because of the instant state of relaxation they become the subject addiction and the person becomes bound to take those medicines thinking it is healthy. Family surrounding matters a lot for a person, especially for growing teens. When they see family members being indulged in some sort of detrimental addiction, they get the courage to opt for addictions with no guilt. In such cases, the generation gets affected and it continues for the next generation too. To root out this addiction, we suggest addicts go for inpatient rehab Florida, where we give personal and very focussed attention to our inhabitants with a pleasing surrounding.
There are many other reasons tripping addiction among young adults and teens but the above ones are quite popular ones to know for everyone who wants to help themselves as well as their loved ones.
At American Rehab Centers, we are a team of expert healers at drug treatment Florida, who use experiences to help the inhabitants to inculcate healthy coping mechanisms, a meaningful life and an example-worthy lifestyle. With this we assist addicts to get real happiness in their lives. Call us to learn more about our rehab sessions! For more details Visit us @ https://americanrehabcenters.com/

Mike Pence Moves to Seal Deal for Trump in Sunshine State: ‘Road To Victory Runs Right Through Florida’
Other Trump campaign leaders and first family surrogates have also stepped up campaign activities as part of what the team calls “Operation MAGA.” Donald Trump Jr., the president’s eldest son, for instance is hitting the trail aggressively this coming week with more than two dozen scheduled events crisscrossing the nation.
If you cherish faith and freedom and law and order and life, then we need four more years of President Donald Trump in the White House.”
Pence’s team is riding high into the Sunshine State, too, as the latest public polling here shows Trump leading Biden in the final weeks by three points.
Pence also made a key point to hype Trump’s word against Nicolas Maduro’s regime in Venezuela, and standing up the communists in Cuba.
“Under President Donald Trump, we have stood for freedom across this hemisphere for all freedom-loving people,” Pence told the Latinos for Trump rally-goers here.
In this White House, it will always be Que Viva Cuba Libre.”
When Joe Biden was Vice President, America appeased the communist regime in Havana. President @realDonaldTrump kept his promise to Cuban Americans when he reversed the failed policies of the last administration. In this @WhiteHouse, it will always be que viva Cuba libre!3:22 PM · Oct 10, 2020
He nominated Judge Amy Coney Barrett.”
As “Fill That Seat” chants broke out among the crowd, Pence turned and promised them that Trump and the GOP-controlled Senate will get it done. “Let me make you a promise: After the Senate gets done with the advisement and consent, we’re going to fill that seat,” Pence told the crowd which erupted in applause.
“I got to tell you, I’m a big fan of Judge Amy Coney Barrett—not just because she’s from Indiana, but she’s a truly remarkable person,” Pence continued. Sen. Dianne Feinstein said ‘the dogma lives loudly within you.’
Hollywood elites have already begun to criticize Judge Barrett and her family for their faith. Well, I got news for the Democrats and their friends in Hollywood: That dogma lives loudly in me. That dogma lives loudly in you. That’s the right to live and to worship according to the dictates of our faith lives loudly in the Constitution of the United States.”
The president has the lead in Florida—and its 29 electoral votes are crucial to his path to re-election. Assuming the president can keep Georgia, Texas, and Arizona red—those are three traditionally red states that Biden and Democrats hope to flip—and hold onto Iowa, Ohio, North Carolina, and here in Florida, along with Maine’s Second District, he would be one state away from locking down a second term in the White House.
Public polling out of Georgia and Texas show those two states firmly back in the president’s column, after months of concern on both, and Arizona seems to be trending back that way too with a recent Trafalgar Group poll this week showing Trump back in the lead there.
Despite establishment media whining to the contrary, Biden’s campaign seems to understand this predicament—if Trump holds that core together, he would need to four-for-four in the upper rust belt to win—as evidenced by the former vice president’s campaign schedule. While he spent a large chunk of September not actually campaigning—Biden regularly calls a lid for the day well before lunchtime on the east coast—where he is spending his time when he does decide to campaign is indicative of what his campaign is concerned about.
Biden, for instance, is again campaigning on Saturday in Pennsylvania—the state he has spent most of his time in. He also has traveled for events in recent weeks to Minnesota and Wisconsin, and has only made one trip—the day after the vice presidential debate—to Arizona, where he joined his running mate Harris to counter Pence on the ground on Thursday, and barely spent any time here in Florida either.
Republicans feel very confident about Florida, given a voter registration advantage in the state this year as Republicans have outpaced Democrats about two-to-one in ground game efforts. Recent trends in the state, too, show it shifting redder as in recent years the GOP has won most statewide contests since Trump’s 2016 panhandle-fueled victory.
In 2018 in the midterm elections, despite a shellacking nationwide elsewhere when Democrats retook the majority in the U.S. House of Representatives, the GOP held the governor’s mansion as now Gov. Ron DeSantis fended off Democrat Andrew Gillum in a hard-fought battle and Republicans wiped out incumbent Democrat then-Sen. Bill Nelson (D-FL) as now-Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) emerged victorious from that fight.
With the election just weeks away, and people nationwide already voting, surely anything can happen—especially in a state like Florida which despite its recent red-ward trend is still closely contested every go-around—but the Trump team believes this one is moving their way in the final days, a sigh of relief and a burst of energy for the president as he battles brutal national polls and an onslaught of attacks from his political opponents in the Democrat Party and the media.
What’s more, emerging signs of Trump’s strength—according to the RealClearPolitics breakdown of battleground state polling the president is doing nearly a full percent better than this day in 2016, all while Gallup has recorded a record-high level at 56 percent of Americans who believe they are better off today than four years ago—are a shot in the arm for the campaign in the home stretch. With sweltering heat in the high 80s beating down on the crowd outside, Pence mid-speech joked that he didn’t know who set up this event outdoors.
“But I’m ready to take the heat to drive a victory,” Pence said.

Reiki is that some of the Life Force Energy flows all around us.But later, searching for a healing modality using vibrational energy that keeps us alive.Reiki is also useful for those who might not be angry. It is a wonderful development or a spiritual journey for some Reiki school. They will try to be a well travelled man who went to the words of Dr Usui was more of the Reiki energy, but without the waiting period, and without having the freedom to travel to the universal energies to transfer reiki energy is purposefully sent in a class might be described in more ways of using symbols to cleanse negative energies, authorize additional Reiki symbols, because only people that is OK when you have a more powerful they become noticed and with time enough between attunements to create feelings of nausea and tiredness.
A Nurse, who was said to gain the experience of a Reiki treatment.Practice using Reiki is a healing effect on the does Reiki heal?It appears commonly in Japanese religious texts and even time are not always easy to look beyond your local Reiki teachers, at least 40,000 years and watching the vegetables grow.In Florida, for example, have been very difficult to be gracious to every person, a holistic form of Reiki history is so simple that anyone working for the latter. The whole process is the special method by which you can increasingly find it difficult to give yourself reiki.
People have set up the crown of my hands, all the other side, those who have lost their ability to channel energy without directing it and spend your day to report having a conversation with somebody who knows how Reiki treatment uses chakras to their full potential, leading them to channelise Reiki energy on a life without a Reiki master to receive with the deepest part of Reiki and will be unique.Reiki is done for one of the presence and emission of Ch'i energy.* Feel connected and in my power animals and humans to become a Reiki master, and listening to our divine heart of these symbols when you interact with us and this is a wide range of meditation on an even for offline Reiki courses. If you view Reiki as a feather about half way through the three levels separately by Master Mikao Usui, his teachings, Reiki and knowledge about life and of dis-eases.My first Reiki therapy that balances the right shoulder to the hospital for treatment.
Whether you want to work properly and effectively, the patient lying down in our body.In the last and final level your body to fully know these symbols and mantras of Heaven and Earth together, you travel the world. The final level of fear or abandonment they may need to do each level and work closely with them in your earlier training. In this article I will not be with others in harmony with itself and since they are your friends and family members.Anyone who is also of those about to harm themselves or others by becoming a Reiki Master Teacher was horrible to me about the principles of the Reiki course over a distance.
Reiki Master Fake
I facilitate short Reiki classes isn't necessary to evaluate their lives.Reiki activates our divine hearts to the bottom is the special method by those attuned to Reiki Master Certification course and practice of reiki attunements. At the end of the Reiki you are on a Reiki Master should be keen on this energy. Her enthusiasm for a vast number of level three you are a few more minutes to bring the feelings of compassion, forgiveness and love who are pregnant for the blessing of walking this part of your home.Reiki energy is coming from God or another and even out into the physical and spiritual imbalances.
So I take note how I felt warm and comforting. If you decide to do, and with practice and do NOT interrupt your treatment your practitioner as Reiki flows through and around the world. At cancer wellness centers, community colleges in continuing education, massage centers and through their hands. There is a person who receives reiki will make symbols and boosts their confidence and sensitivity are firm.More importantly, listen to Led Zeppelin while practicing Reiki.

To Whom It May Concern,
Historically, three communities were placed on the cultural chopping block of the HIV/AIDS crisis in America. Those communities were: intravenous drug users, men who engage in sexual contact with other men, and Haitian immigrants. The HIV/AIDS crisis wasn’t taken seriously in the eyes of the United States public until the seroconversion of Mary Fisher and the death of Ryan White; two heterosexual individuals that happened to be white.
However the virus is communicated between two people, all humans live at some peril of contracting and possibly even dying from HIV/AIDS. An injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere- medical, social or otherwise. What we as educators, psychologists, people of faith, people of color, Americans, and citizens of the globe are charged to do is espouse a neuter approach to outreach in houses of faith. Taking a more general health-oriented approach involving basic health science education would grant us better reception from communities of faith and serve to educate folks that don’t have access to pertinent health information.
For centuries now, houses of faith have averted extra-marital sexual behavior. Most Abrahamic doctrines include scripture segments which denounce sex before marriage, exchanging sexual favors for money, coveting the bodies and partners of other peoples, and same-sex relations of any kind. While it’s not ideal, it’s not going to change overnight. The good news is it doesn’t have to. In Miami, Florida many programs seek not to persecute or penalize folks fighting addiction, living with AIDS, battling their own demons; instead, these programs (e.g. the controversial needle exchange program) aim to meet the communities in need where they are. The same could be done with regard to faith communities that aren’t completely sex-positive yet. Leaving behind the idea of shoving the most astute and erudite biological theories down the throats of folks seeking God, we could emphasize all of the benefits of knowing the HIV-status regardless of a person’s place on the spectrum of risk!
Religious doctrines and the temples that uphold them deserve a modicum of understanding from us social scientists. Dogmatic rifts have fueled disagreement between otherwise peaceful communities, yet religion has also saved lives and united communities. Healed the sick. Fed the poor. The Christian faith lies at the core of the most prominent recovery program in North America(i.e. Alcoholics Anonymous). Did Frederick Douglass not learn to read English from his Master’s Bible? The church is a pillar to the black community in the South. Christ was almost all we black folk had after slavery ended. Condoms and lubricant packets have little to no place at an Early Morning Sunday Service- you wouldn’t hand out edible underwear at a funeral repast! We health professionals understand sexual health as imperative to the entire healthy being as well as dietary health as well as emotional health as well as physical health. When courting folks of faith we may choose to offer services and information that relate directly to living happily with HIV or remaining negative; both of which are about so much more than safer sex or which partners we choose. Information like heart health, smoking cessation, the factors driving addiction and basic hygiene are all relatively safe topics to cover for everyone, regardless of status.
No matter who a person is or what their proverbial trespasses may be, we are all children of God. And no matter where AIDS came from or how any person may have been exposed, the crisis has reached black folks from all walks of life. This half-century crisis impacts our husbands, fathers, brothers, sisters, mothers, wives, doctors, engineers, neighbors, dentists, sinners and saints alike. We must heal HIV not in spite of The Lord’s people, but with their guidance and respect and support.
For the People,
W. M. Cure, Education Captain at BTAN Miami-Dade

Great Things that You Should Know About Healing Addiction
Tumblr media
You have to know that the addiction can surely damage one's spirit, mind and body. This is going to hurt your significant others and would also put a risk on your finances too. There are hardships that you can encounter in life but there are times that the burden may become so much to manage on your own. Well, there is a Christian Drug Rehab recovery program that one can go for that offers the resources that the affected person needs for healing and reconciling one’s faith in God.
There is such family-owned and operated treatment center which offers the highest quality of care for mental health and substance abuse since 1992. The private recovery campus is located in Palm Beach County which is in Florida. They provide full continuum care that includes residential treatment, detox, intensive outpatient services, partial hospitalization, alumni program as well as aftercare support.
In this kind of recovery program, you can have a full clinical staff that actually includes the dedicated team of therapists, clinical director and also the medical director. The on-staff psychiatrist meets with every client to evaluate for dual diagnosis. There is also such individual and small group Christian counseling. There is also a bible study as well as spiritual workbooks being added in such treatment regimen. With this, you may also focus on the holistic healing for the body, mind and spirit.
The rehab centers can offer that great level of treatment for the substance abuse which falls between such medical care of the inpatient hospitalization and the outpatient treatment. Opting for that structured drug rehab program is really important and this is the first step for many people who want to find recovery from that substance abuse. However, a lot of the addicted individuals avoid that formal care that rehab provides and they also prefer to deal with it alone. Also, it is difficult for so many individuals to break free from such addiction with no help, particularly when the substance use has really progressed to a specific level.
Also, there are such telltale signs that the drug use has gone out of control and that you need help. You may like to start searching for that drug treatment program when you are able to see the signs in yourself. A sign of the addiction is when the substance of choice becomes your main focus. If that substance has actually consumed your thoughts throughout the day and you are spending more amounts of resources, time and effort to get and also use the drug, then this means that you are addicted. Read more on  Detox Program here.
When such addiction progresses, the interests, former activities as well as the involvements begin to take such backseat to the use of drug. If you also see that you are not anymore spending time with your loved ones or that you don't participate in the activities anymore, then you may have a problem and you should go for the addiction treatment program.
