Hi there, I really like your blog and you have a great head on your shoulders so I would like to ask for some advice. I have a friend group which include LGBT, Muslims, and outspoken atheists. I am the only Christian. I want to help them come to Christ, but I'm scared of pushing them away in my attempts to talk about it. I am still lost on how to approach them about the gospel, or if it's my place, since I know that God will lead them ultimately and that all we as humans can do is plant 1/2
the seed. Still, I feel consistently hurt by this group and they often make rude sacrilegious remarks that they consider funny. Do I leave, or should I stay and try to make more of an effort to bring them to Christ? I suppose a part of me hopes for the former, maybe I really am looking for someone to justify getting away from this group. But if I should stay, I could use some encouragement on how to help these people. 2/2
Hi there, I’m glad you like my blog. I read your ask last night before I went to sleep but I was too tired to answer so I’m just getting to it right now.
First of all, I just want to say that you seem to have a unique set of friends. I think evangelizing them will be hard for you not because the gospel for Christians to explain, the hard part is answering the questions that come after the gospel presentation.
I suggest that you delve into Christian Apologetics because you are going to be answering questions from two different worldviews (Islam and Atheism and you will be receiving objections from your LGBT friends.
Christian Apologetics is rooted in 1 Peter 3:15 “but in you hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.” I see Christian apologetics applied as pre-evangelism message or as tool to answer post-evangelism questions.
Since the questions will vary a lot it’s probably best that you do a lot of research. I know that it might seem disheartening to go through a lot of effort to read and listen to arguments being made for Christianity against all other beliefs but everything you learn will be an invaluable tool for you to be able to use when witnessing to more people later on.
There are a couple of apologists who I’d like to recommend to you right now. Right off the bat, I would have to say James White of Alpha and Omega Ministries.
There’s also Jeff Durbin of Apologia Church (Apologia Studios in YouTube), he preaches the gospel open air in front of Planned Parenthood so he usually ends up in a witnessing to a bunch of different and very confrontational people. His demeanor is very gentle. I’ve watched a couple of videos of him, I haven’t seen him lose his cool, not even when he and James White did a tag-team debate against a pair of atheists (one of whom was incredibly rude).
I’m not sure about this but I think James White just recently joined Jeff Durbin’s church.
Another one that comes to mind is Ravi Zacharias (Ravi Zacharias International Ministries or RZIM). He’s also a very gentle speaker. I think he mostly deals with atheism and Islam. He’s an articulate speaker (I guess everyone on this list is. Lol). I think most of his talks are done inside universities and is done as a pre-evangelistic message.
Lastly, I want to point you to Ray Comfort (Living Waters in YouTube). I’ve just recently discovered him (even though a friend of mine here recommended him to me like a year ago). He does open-air preaching and he gets a lot of objections from people listening to him. I know open-air preaching gets a lot of bad rep but if you see how he and Jeff Durbin preaches, you’ll be surprised on how polite, loving and kind they are. I’ve just started watching Ray Comfort videos and I’m amazed at how quickly and gently he answers the objections, points out the sin of the people he is witnessing to (he also admits that he is a sinner as well) and he cuts to the heart of the matter and explains the gospel to them.
I wish I could help you more but honestly, you’ll probably learn a lot more from the people I listed above (This actually reminds me that I need to compile a list of recommended resources). You’re probably not going to become a great apologist in just a couple of months, truthfully, these people have been at it for years but they continually study Scripture, learn about other people’s worldviews, spend time thinking and talking about everything they’ve learned. It’s always a craft that you’ll have to improve but even just hearing their thoughts on how rational Christianity will benefit you a lot. I also want you to pay attention to their demeanor because you can clearly see how assertive these people are while also being gentle.
I want you to pray for your friends. I also want you to keep in mind that even though you do manage to answer all their objections, it doesn’t meant that they’ll automatically come to the faith. Ultimately, it’s the Holy Spirit who takes away spiritual blindness in order for people to see Christ as Lord and Savior. God has to open their eyes so that they might see how terribly wicked and sinful we all really are.
I would not fault if you would decide to leave your current set of friends. They are rude and disrespectful to you and to God and I know how that can affect a person. I had a friend who professed to be a Christian but openly practiced homosexuality and even scrutinized certain texts of Scripture in order to defend her lifestyle. It was exhausting to have to explain to her why she was wrong and she tried to turn every friendly meeting into a debate and tried to continually criticize every small decision I made in order to make herself feel better. You’re probably going through something a bit different from that but I know how hard it is to deal with someone who is very open about their beliefs and constantly criticizes your own. It’s tiring, frustrating and sometimes you get tempted to be angry and lash out (well, I did, hopefully you’re handling it better than I did).
But even with everything that I said I’m hoping that you could stay with your friends because someone needs to witness to them. And I think it’s good if the gospel comes from someone who loves them and knows them. Remember that Jesus constantly dealt with mockers. He dealt with the Pharisees and the scribes. Paul had to deal with Jewish leaders along with Gentile idolaters during their time.
I pray and hope that you can witness to your friends and that you can equip yourself. You know your friends best so you’ll know what kind of arguments they’ll make and what topics to focus on in your study. Remember that even if your arguments aren’t perfect, as long as you preach the gospel faithfully to them, you will have brought glory to God. You may lose your friends and they may come to hate you for the message that you preach but remember that God knows everything that you’ve done for his name and you will be rewarded for bringing glory to him.
I will pray for the salvation of your friends. I will also pray that you’ll be able to endure all awful remarks that they make about God and the Christian faith. May God bless you, Anon.

Avail Customized Certificate in Ministry Program from Themultitudeexperience.com
Online Religious educations are tailor-made for those who are involved in Christian education or have abandoned their education because of financial difficulties or time restrictions. For such persons, the great news is whether a significant number of online colleges and universities are now entirely delivering online Christian education services via the internet. You can take classes whenever you like, and from anywhere, you feel most relaxed with online Christian education services. Moreover, in contrast to conventional Christian educational standards, the tuition rate for the online Customized Certificate in Ministry Program is considerably lower.
There are non-degree courses, graduate degrees, master's degrees, or Ph.D. degrees of online Christian educational programmes. There are also degree programmes in Christian education online. In Christian education, most free non-degree courses are:
• Development of Christian Personality • Study of the Bible • Postgraduate Christian Apologetics Diploma • Bible Master of Subjects • Divinity Master • Master of Philosophy • Religious Education Master • Doctor of the Ministerial Service • Physician in Philosophy • Ph.D. in Systematic Theology • Physician with Letters
Is Online Christian Education Easy?
Some individuals claim it is very easy to gain an online degree in a field of Christian Ministry Certificate Online to obtain the degree quite quickly. And it's not that easy, in fact. As a matter of fact, by conventional classroom setup, obtaining an online Christian undergrad degree is even harder than getting a degree.
Accreditation
Please ensure that you verify the online college's certification before enrolling in a Christian education Program. If the online school you have selected is not approved, you will be facing challenges obtaining your degree, but most importantly, companies will not recruit you. This is because they typically choose to earn Online Ministry Certificate Programs for students who have received a degree from an accredited institution.
When you enrolled at such an accredited university and accredited universities plan research material with professionals' aid, you will not have to think about the content of study material. Another important thing about accredited universities is that all these universities' faculty members were highly trained and experienced. Therefore, please ensure you enroll at an approved institution when you choose to receive an online degree for Christian studies.

What would you say to people who have objections to Christianity based on the fact that there are religions older than it? Also, do you have any Christian Apologetic/theology resources you would recommend? Thanks!
Christ existed from the beginning, He came before everything - including religions that chronologically came before Christ’s ministry in this world when He took on human flesh and died as an atoning sacrifice for us. It doesn’t matter what religions came prior to His ministry on earth when He always existed from the beginning:
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it… And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. ” - John 1:1-5, 14
“He [Christ] was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in the last times for the sake of you who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.” - 1 Peter 1:20-21
“Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become as much superior to angels as the name he has inherited is more excellent than theirs.” - Hebrews 1:1-4
And even if people want to use the “older religions” argument based on Christ’s birth into this world and His ministry that followed (because if people are arguing against Christianity, chances are they will reject the fact that Christ always existed from the start), I fail to see how other religions being older by this world’s standards of time automatically equates to truth in their minds. Something coming first is not automatically equivalent to it being truthful or right. A lot of times, the ideas and practices people engage in first are incorrect and they realize later that another way to go about it is what is actually correct. We see this pattern in this life in countless different scenarios, not just the concept of religious beliefs. One example that comes to mind is medical care/treatments. Older techniques for treatment and care proven to be inadequate are always being perfected and sometimes outright replaced by ones that are proven to be more efficacious. So I really don’t see this argument proving anything in a person’s favor who is trying to argue against Christianity. Got Questions is a very good website for apologetic/theology articles. Christian Apologetics and Research Ministry (CARM) is another good one. I would have linked to their website too, but their page seems to be having some trouble. So try searching for them as well, and hopefully their website will be working properly again soon.I hope you found this helpful, let me know if you have any other questions!

by Matt Slick | Is hell real? Yes, it is. But a lot of people deny its existence. A lot of people think that hell is here on earth. Some believe that when we die, we stop existing. But others who trust in the Bible acknowledge that it is a real place. So what is hell? It is the place of future, eternal punishment where the unrepentant, wicked go forever. It is described in the Bible in many places in different ways...

What do you say to the scientific proof of evolution? And evidence that the earth is millions of years old?
Hello!
I say that we should give it another look and find out where old Earth theories really come from.
I spent six years in STEM magnet schools and now I’m a STEM major. I was always taught evolution and I used to make fun of young Earth creationists, but here I am. We should give creationism an honest look, even if secular scientists and other Christians say otherwise.
One of my really good friends is a YouTuber who talks about young Earth creationism a lot. If you want to learn more about YEC and where old Earth theories come from, start here (I like this video in particular). Genesis Apologetics talks about evolution a lot (They have a whole series about it), so you should check them out, too.
Here are my YEC resources:
1. Truth: The Objective Reality
2. Genesis Apologetics
3. Kolbe Center for the Study of Creation (They have a lot of homilies about evolution on their website that are also on the Sensus Fidelium YouTube channel.)
4. Answers in Genesis
5. Institute for Creation Research
6. Creation Ministries International
And Facebook groups:
7. Catholic Creation Alliance
8. Young Earth Creationism
9. Creationism - The Official Page
10. The Origin of Kinds and Young Earth Creationism
And books:
11. Biblical Creationism by Henry M. Morris
12. I Have Spoken to You from Heaven: A Catholic Defense of Creation in Six Days by Hugh Owen with Mark Koehne and Gerard Keane
13. A Catholic Assessment of Evolution Theory by John M. Wynne
14. Six Days: The Age of the Earth and the Decline of the Church by Ken Ham
All of these sources cover creationism from both a theological and a scientific standpoint.
If you have specific questions, go to the Facebook groups (They’re all really knowledgeable and some of them have debated evolutionists before.).
I’m still relatively new to YEC, but I have gathered a lot of resources. I hope this list helps!
God bless!
