You can really tell Planet Prince was the debut of the guy who, out of the total 350 episodes of Kamen Rider through Super-1, wrote 129 of them, he literally wrote 37% of Kamen Rider through Super-1. He was also the main writer for Omnitsu Kenshi, Akuma-Kun, Akakage, Giant Robo, Barom-1, Arashi, Kikaider, Inazuman, Tatakae Dragon, Ninja Captor, Choujin Bibyun, Daitetsujin 17, & Message From Space Galactic Wars.

I guess he could do good character writing if it was someone else’s character huh

Not to toot my own horn, but this very same anon also subbed the first 23 episodes of Choujin Barom-1...until I just sorta got burnt out & quit.

Nice! I have vague memories of seeing a random episode subbed by Dead Fish Fansubs a really long time ago, but beyond that I'm not really familiar with Choujin Barom-1. Looks interesting though, so I might give it a try again at some point.

Oni Sister is the odd one out in the group. In the original story of Momotaro, the Oni was the antagonist. So it makes a lot of sense that she was the last of the team and she's currently the one with the most problems with Taro

The Momotaro Slash's effects were based on the animations of Demon Slayer

Sonoi, Sononi, and Sonoza's monster forms are based on the heroes of older and obscure Tokusatsu heroes:

Sonoi - Choujin Barom 1

Sononi - Seigi no Symbol Condorman

Sonoza - The Kagestar

The model kit seen in the "that's not right" flashback seems to be a 30 Minute Missions kit. Also produced by Bandai and completely separate from other mecha franchises so free cross promotion (they're also really fun, they're basically robot lego so I highly recommend)

Watching the 1972 Toei toku 'Choujin Barom-1' (2 kids transform into a single adult-sized superhero, fun stuff) & in one of the episodes the villain is Hideyo Amamoto in a white suit & dracula cape, but somehow ISN'T Dr. Death, wish I had a picture.
