Choso enjoys his nights when it’s just him and Yuji. They’re eating dinner and Yuji makes a mess of his face and tries to make Choso laugh. Choso, of course, laughs at how cute his little brother is.

Choso sits in the bathtub with Yuji, washing his pink hair as the boy talks about any little thing he can.

“Megumi wants to be a veteran! The people that work with animals!”

“ Veterinarian?”

“Yeah! He’s got two dogs that are still puppies and they’re huge!”

“I’ve seen them before, they’re still puppies?”

“Yeah!”

“What do you want to be when you grow up?”

“I wanna be a firefighter! I’ll get super strong and save a bunch of people!”

“A firefighter?”

“Yup! I wanna drive a fire truck!”

Choso chuckles and dries the boy off, helping him into pajamas and changing into his own nighttime wear. Yuji giggles and reaches for his brother’s tattooed nose.

“You have some dirt!” Yuji smiles and tries to smudge off the ink.

“Yuji, this is my tattoo!” Choso laughs.

“Noooo, it’s dirt!” Yuji giggles.

“Oh, come on, it’s been here your whole life, Yuji.”

“Permanent dirt!”

“That’s not how dirt works!” Choso laughs. He picks his little brother up and walks over to the living room to watch a movie.

Of course, The Lion King, Yuji’s favorite movie is put on, and he falls asleep after Hakuna Matata plays. Choso finishes the movie anyways, holding his sleeping brother close and rubbing his back.

Once the movie is over, Choso tucks Yuji in and carefully shuts the door. He goes to bed and sets an alarm to get ready for work and let you into the apartment. He loves his little brother.

please i just need a scene where yuji tries introducing choso to todo and todo is all like “hey i’m yuji’s brother!” and choso’s flatscreens for a few seconds before crashing out like this

because now in his mind he’s like “ok i’m yuji’s older brother and this guy is also yuji’s brother so.... that must mean he’s also my brother...”

Little Yuji’s first Halloween with big brother Choso.

It’s all I want.

I want that man putting his hair up in those little buns and clipping his bangs back— doing the same for the little pink tufts on Yuji’s small head— as he tries (struggles) to carve out the lopsided design his brother drew on with a red sharpie. (Pumpkin innards would be stuck in the cracks of the kitchen tile for weeks).

I want Choso holding Yuji’s hand just a little too tight as he trembles his way through a haunted house— Yuji giggling and lighting up with glee as all sorts of ghosts and ghouls pop out at them.

I want Choso helping Yuji with his costume— drawing on his face with his black eyeliner to get the details just right on his Spiderman facepaint. But, of course, bundling him up in his puffiest coat because it’s cold out.

I want Choso sorting through all Yuji’s candy because he knows that humans are evil, going through each one with the care of a first-time mom. I want Choso baking sweet treats— jello with plastic eyeballs in it, pumpkin-shaped cookies, pies with faces carved into the crust— to make up for all the candy he had to throw out.

I want Yuji asking Choso to put on Nightmare Before Christmas again and again, and Choso downloading all the songs onto his iPod so Yuji can listen all the time. He knows all the lyrics by heart, and even though he doesn’t get the hype quite as much as Yuji seems to, he could never deny another watch through.

He’d be watching Yuji anyways.

choso week day 3: interactions

your personal space has never really truly been yours since you’ve started dating him. his muscled arm around your waist when you wake up in the morning, has become as familiar as the sunrise itself. it used to be cute, his warmth a cozy start to the day. but now, it's suffocating, like he can't bear to let you go, even in his sleep.

you shift carefully under his weight, not wanting to disturb his sleep. his breath keeping its steady rhythm against your neck, and you wonder if he dreams of you as you lean in to kiss his forehead gently. he smiles in his sleep, a small, contented expression that almost makes you want to slip right back into his arms.

the sheets rustle softly as you slip out from his grip. you slowly tiptoe across your shared bedroom, craving the simple pleasure of being able to enjoy making coffee alone. the smell of freshly ground beans fills the kitchen, and you lean against the counter, enjoying the quiet morning.

but as your coffee brews, a twinge of guilt creeps in and you can almost imagine when he'll wake up and wonder where you've gone. despite enjoying the well needed alone time, you knew the longing to be close to him will pull you back into his embrace sooner than you'd planned. almost as if in complete sync with your thoughts, you hear a mumble approaching the kitchen, and then his voice, thick with sleep, calling out softly,

"angel cmon back to bed with me, you know i don’t like sleeping without you"
