Episode 1:

Cas is slowly dying, practically naked, in a bed, and the first thing he says when talking about Dean is "I miss him" (6:35), with a soft smile. "Why would he just disappear?"

... I'm sorry but If Cas Were A Woman, this would look like a scene from a movie or something, where the wife talks to a friend over the phone about her missing husband. JUST SAYING

Crowley: "The girl seemed nice. Slightly damaged. I could see the old you falling for that." (9:29) uhm... who else is "nice and slightly" damaged? I don't know... CASTIEL??!!!

So... these two men (actors Todd Mann and Brad Mann) we see with the DemonGang, are real life twins (9:14).

At (27:18), Crowley states him and Dean did "extroardinary things to triplets" ... and, well, the only twins with a possible other sibling we see are... them

And this is not the first time we hear about Dean doing "things to triplets" with a buddy of his (15x07)... and the first time he was NOT a demon... so, there's that. And triplets don't necessarily mean "all females"

Cas, while talking about the good things that come with choices, mentions "hope, love, dreams" (39:06), and Hannah points out that "those are human things". Human things...

Cas is talking about his own personal experiences with creating chaos, so those are the things he felt after rebelling for... Dean... WOW. ICWAW, it would totally be read it as a reference to Dean. A romantic one. Fight me

Episode 2:

Cas is dying, just got back from a fight that left him wounded, doesn't have enough power to heal himself, is on a mission to restore Heaven, and once again he chooses to go save Dean (9:35), and the way rage builds in his eyes when learning Dean has become a demon. Look at this shit

I might be crazy, but this feels like a touching metaphor to me:

"I think you don't know what you want. Tell me, Dean. What are you? A demon? [...] Maybe you're human. [...] Why don't you do us all a great, big favor... and pick a bloody side!" (22:22)

Episode 3:

We are reminded that, even tho in terrible conditions, on the verge of death, Cas is willing to risk it all to save Dean, and is devastated by the thought of Dean not making it (4:47 - 5:17)

This is so funny to me, I'm sorry, but Cas is so visibly uncomfortable with Hannah touching him, it's hilarious (15:58)

"I've been around humans for long enough to see how easily distractions occur. Emotions, feelings... They're dangerous temptations." (22:32) like rebelling against your own kind, destroying your home, falling... all for a human?

"I'm trying to keep our priorities clear." Moments earlier, Cas listed "Getting to Dean" (22:17) before anything else. In fact, Hannah says "I am very clear of my priorities... and yours." = Dean (23:00)

Cas is not sure whether the cure will kill Dean or not, and in any case, he wraps his arms around him, and softly says "It's over... Dean it's over." (35:40) as if hushing him to sleep, in what could have been their last moments together... wow. Think about this ICWAW

Cas starts walking out of the room, but stops and turns back [insert concerned husband here] (40:27), and Dean has that hopeful look in his eyes, like Cas is going to stay, and the hurtful look comes back as soon as Cas is gone

Fucking kill me NOW!!! Dean's reaction to Destiel is PRICELESS!! And even before he learns what that is, he just looks at the girls playing him and Cas and... freezes for a moment (13:18) And the eyebrow raise thingy at (13:34)... what's going on in your brain, Dean?

"There's things... people, feelings that I... I would experience differently than I had before. Or even for the first time." (25:28) and the priest believes Dean is talking about love.

The Mark is taking over, and Dean can't (and won't) help it. Cas knows it. He doesn't want to hurt Dean. He is not even resisting. Doesn't put up a fight.

And just like Colette with Cain, Castiel only asks Dean one thing: "Stop." (40:38) [9x11]

The only thing that stops Cas from killing Dean, is him begging, clutching onto his sleeve.

They both try to live a quiet life. And Dean hopes, very hard, that his former life won’t come knocking at their door.

SERIES MASTERLIST

It’s mid-September. The leaves are starting to change their colors, some of them already falling down. Little brown and yellow dots, a stark contrast to the green grass. Dean loves it. Loves when the season changes, loves how he can even smell the air change around him, loves how the leaves crunches underneath his boots. 

He’s in his study. It overlooks the backyard, because it’s the room below their bedroom. Y/N’s right above him, she most likely sees the same thing when she looks out of the window into their backyard. They’re lucky with the weather, too, today.

She probably does look out right now. If she does, she’ll see the people mingling, sees the flower arch, sees the little white chairs in front of it. She’ll see Bobby who’s dressed to the nines, nervously reciting his speech. The old man looks different without his cap and plaid shirt. 

What she doesn’t see, though, is some people hiding behind the big trees on the outskirts of their property. What she doesn’t see is that there are always cars outside their gate. Cars and people who always have an eye on them. 

Gabe set up his company and employed the best of people like Dean asked him to. It seems like everyone knows about it, because almost everyone’s involved, but Dean’s still been too much of a coward to tell her. He knows that he has to one day but not today. To be fair, he also never found the right time to tell her before because she was so preoccupied with organizing a wedding and Dean really didn’t see the point in interfering with her organizing. Didn’t see the point to scare her with it so she would maybe blow the whole thing off. He’ll tell her when the right time comes. He knows he has to.

“Hey,” Cas knocks and opens the door, pulling Dean back from his thoughts.

“Hey Cas,” Dean greets his long time friend. 

Cas walks in, closing the door behind him, and walks over to where Dean’s standing by the window, “How are you?”

Dean snorts, “I’m sweating,” It’s true, he’s sweating bullets and hates the feeling, “You know, I thought the birth of Ella was the only time that I’ll feel like this but no, today is right at the top.” Dean takes a breath, braces his hands on the window sill and looks down, “It’s crazy isn’t it? I wanted this. I wanted everything, I got everything and now I’m about to fucking chicken out.”

“Hey,” Cas hushes, places a hand on Dean’s shoulder, “You’ve got this. I mean, I went through it, you can either. You fucking wimp!”

Dean chuckles at that and then there’s a knock before they both look back to see Sam slipping in. 

Sam looks at both of them, an amused look on his face, “Hey, you’re still here, I thought you’d run for the hills.”

“Well, he’s about to,” Cas grins, “Got here on time to keep him from doing it.”

“I might have something for ya,” Sam wriggles with his eyebrows and produces a flask from his suit jacket. 

“Yes, please,” Dean sighs, takes it and unscrews the flask to take a long swig from it. He squints at the burn and shakes his head as he lets the liquor warm his throat. 

 *

 Dean’s standing in front of the flower arch, Cas and Sam were standing there with him. He looks into the faces of the guest, sees them all smiling back at him, some nodding. There aren’t many, two handfuls at best. 

Y/N told him that she wouldn’t want something big and he agreed. He didn’t want to marry her and make a lavish party out of it. He would have married her in Vegas with the attendance of Elvis, if that’s what she would have wanted. He didn’t actually really care as long as it was him and her. Didn’t care as long as she still wants to. 

He never thought that he’d be so nervous though, never thought that he’d be the one who almost chickens out of something he wanted in the first place. 

Linda’s sitting in the first row, balancing Ella on her lap. And she still frowns at Dean, that woman probably will never get used to him. 

They were doing everything themselves today and every guest takes part in the wedding as they have brought food or baked a cake, Sam offered to be the DJ and Dean’s still not really okay with that. 

It’s crazy how Dean has money to rent out the best location with the best of catering but all Y/N wants is something small in their backyard. Looking at it, Dean’s very happy with her choice. All the people that truly matter to him are here and that’s really the most important thing. 

“You okay, son?” Bobby asks as they are standing next to each other. 

Bobby has gotten ordained so he can perform the little ceremony. He offered it and at first Ash wanted to do it but honestly, if Dean has to choose between Ash or Bobby, the choice is clear. Who knows where Ash would have taken this.

“Okay, here we go,” Ash announces and all the eyes shoot to the back.

Everything and everyone went silent, even the babies who were crying. Or maybe they still did but Dean’s heart is pounding so hard, all he hears is his own heartbeat. He feels hot all of a sudden, and there’s the cold sweat again beading on his forehead. 

He sees her, one hand hooks into Gabe’s arm, the other one holding a small bouquet of flowers. There’s a flower crown on her head. She’s wearing a dress in cream, frilly and lacy. She went out dress shopping last week, and wanted to wait until the last moment because she was sure she would lose some weight and Dean doesn’t even know if she lost the weight she wanted because all he knows is that she looks goddamn beautiful.

And Dean doesn’t want to be that guy, he really didn’t. He doesn’t want to cry as soon as he sees the bride but yet, here he is, grinning like an idiot and swallowing down the tears that built up as soon as he saw her. 

Y/N looks like a waking dream. Something he has anticipated for so long without even knowing it because the good dreams normally got chased away to make room for his nightmares.

Sam squeezes Dean’s shoulder and leans to whisper, “She looks beautiful.”

Dean agrees.

She really does. The prettiest little thing he did ever see. 

He watches her walk down the non-existent aisle, because two rows can’t be counted as an aisle in his opinion, but that doesn’t matter. What matters is how she looks at him when she sees him, how there’s a small smile tugging at the corner of her mouth, and she bites down on her bottom lip. She’s nervous, he can see that. Well, he knows exactly how she feels. 

Gabe lets go of her and she stands next to Dean now, looking up.

“You look lovely,” He mumbles, had trouble finding the right words.

“Well, you look hot,” She grins, and Dean almost has to laugh out loud. 

“I’m not allowed to kiss you yet, am I?” Dean whispers again, is already halfway to do it but then he stops himself. 

Before she could answer him, Bobby takes the lead. 

They didn’t exchange vows, neither did they exchange rings. They both have one and that’s more than enough. They’ve talked about the vows thoroughly, and they both agree that they didn’t need anyone to know their feelings or promises for each other. It’s something between the both of them.

“You may now kiss the bride, son.” Bobby announces with a big smile on his face. 

“Jesus,” Dean rolls his eyes with a sigh, “Fucking finally,” 

Everyone laughs, including Y/N and he weaves his arm around her waist, pulls her closer. She locks her arms around his neck, and Dean looks down, sees her smiling back at him. “Hi Mrs. Winchester,”

“Hello Mr. Winchester,” She winks and laughs, “Now please kiss me, I’m dying here.”

“Always so bossy,” Dean chuckles, and he finally bends down, kisses her. The tense in his body’s gone.

The people around them were cheering but Dean tunes that out, doesn’t hear it. All he hears is his heart that still thumbs ridiculously fast. Dean breaks the kiss after a while, even though he didn’t want to but he guesses that they need to carry on with the day. He pecks her lips once more, though, for good measure and whispers to her, “You’ve had whiskey,”

She grins mischievously, “You too.” 

Dean snorts, “Not gonna lie, almost chickened out.”

“Me too,” She says and nuzzles her face into the crook of his neck as they both laugh. 

“Why didn’t you tell me, we could have eloped, have taken Ella and drove.” 

“I didn’t spend so much time planning it to be running away from it.” She looks up at him. 

He shrugs, “Fair point,” Before he takes her hand, and together they walk to their terrace where all of the people were already waiting, having made room for them and left them some privacy after the ceremony. 

 *

 Y/N draws a bath while Dean’s feeding Ella. The little girl’s on formula now and it actually makes things so much easier. Dean can now get up and take care of Ella and let Y/N sleep. They’re more relaxed since the change, and Y/N’s more content either. She’s had trouble with nursing for the first two months where she didn’t produce enough milk and there was a lot of crying. When they introduced Ella to weaning, they also introduced her to formula. It was the best decision, really and Dean thought that they should have made the choice sooner. They could have spared Y/N from a lot of heartache.

Dean felt helpless during that time, and Y/N felt like a failure, they were both miserable for a long time until she came to him and gestures with her hand before she started to babble, “Screw all the perfect moms, I’m not perfect and that’s okay. My body can’t give her what she needs but that doesn’t mean that I’m not a good mom.” 

And he couldn’t agree more with that. Had to talk her into it either because she told him that he should back her up on her decision and honestly, Dean agrees with whatever she wants because she knows her own body better than he does when it comes to breastfeeding. He can’t imagine going through all the hardships of it in the first place. The whole process was draining from the start with raw bloody nipples and leaking and painful breasts. Apparently breastfeeding is not for everyone, and if someone can’t do it, doesn’t really mean that they are a failure or a bad mom because of it. 

After the feeding, Y/N takes Ella from Dean and he kisses his girl good night. Dean takes off his clothes, and gets into the tub, leans his head back and closes his eyes.

He’s almost drifting off when Y/N pokes her head in, “Hey,”

She’s smiling at him, still wearing one of his plaid shirts, even if she doesn’t have to nurse Ella anymore. Dean doesn’t complain, he loves the look on her. 

“Is there room for me?” She unbuttons her shirt and takes it off, lets it pool around her ankle before she hooks her fingers through the waistband of her panties, slides them down too. 

“There’s always room for you,” Dean says in a low voice and she comes over stands naked next to the tub and the sight makes his heart beat just a little faster. 

He’s hard too, can not get hard when he sees her, a thing he both loves and hates at the same time. 

She gets in, sits on his lap and rests her head on his shoulder. Dean hugs her in the water, trails his fingertips along her body and she wiggles in his laps, feels his hard cock too.

“‘M sorry,” She says and turns back, but she can’t stop grinding down on him. 

“Baby,” 

“I know,” She lets out a frustrated sigh, “Like, I’m really tired but what if you just put it in, I just want to feel you inside.”

Dean’s eyebrow climbs up his forehead, “You sure?” 

She turns her head back to him, her bottom lip between her teeth and there’s a smile. “Please?”

“You know that I can never say no to you, right? I think you’re misusing your power over me.”

Snorting out a laugh, she kisses the tip of his nose before she lifts her ass up a little to position his dick at her entrance. Slowly she sits down and Dean has to hold in his breath at how fucking good it felt.

But she was true to her words, because she doesn’t move, leans her head back to rest against his shoulder. Dean should mind though, he hates to be teased like this. It’s perfect as it is, though, and strangely, he doesn’t even want more.

He trails his knuckles along her arms, “How are you feeling?”

“Good, just really tired.” 

“Me too. Who would have thought that getting married would be so exhausting, huh?”

“Yeah,” She agrees and Dean places a kiss on her temple. 

Dean leaves his lips on her temple, mumbles into the kiss, “Okay, I think I’m ready to say my vows, you wanna hear it?” 

Y/N looks back and up to him, smiling at him warmly, “Of course,”

“Okay,” Dean clears his throat, and he feels his heart picking up speed again, “You looked so beautiful to me today, but you should know that you always look beautiful to me, and you will always look beautiful. Even when you just wake up and according to you, you look like a truck ran you over. But that’s not true. That’s not what I see when I see you. “No it doesn’t.” She’s laughing now and it’s good, Dean thinks. The laughter doesn’t make him tear up as much as he wants to. 

“Can I tell you something?” She says then and Dean nods, not without kissing the top of her head. 

“Anything,”

“I know that I’m not always easy, I might not always be what you want me to be,”

Dean opens his mouth to protest because she’s basically everything he wants her to be but she hushes him with a glare.

“Okay, I might not always be the best of what I want myself to be. I have doubts, I have insecurities,” Dean nods at that, because she always set such high standards for herself, it sometimes drives him nuts. 

“And I might not always agree with you all the time because I’m stubborn,” 

Dean snorts out a “Yeah,” And she rolls her eyes at that. 

“Anyway, what I’m trying to say is that I might not be perfect, but I vow that I’ll always love you. I love you not only for what you are but also for what you make me, and that is the best possible I can be, and as much as you’re keeping me, Dean? I’m keeping you. You won’t get rid of me that easily Mr. Winchester,” She chuckles and looks up, kissing his scruff.

“Not that I want to, Mrs. Winchester,” Dean mumbles, and leans down to nose at her cheek, kisses her and she kisses him back, smiles against his lips.

The Guilt and The Demon!Dean foreshadow

(9x14/9x15 and 9x17)

Hi my dears! Another meta from season 9, this is a very interesting one, talking about a funny mirror I found with the ghostfacers and Destiel, also a new foreshadow for what will come in season 10.

We will talk about Dean's guilt and a lot a foreshadows too for Demon!Dean and his summer love with Crowley.

Okay, let's start...

Guilt and more Guilt

Episode 9x14 is all about GUILT. We have Dean talking with Ghost!Kevin, trying to ask for forgiveness, because his death is all over Dean's shoulders... He said it while he was trying to contact him.

DEAN: Kevin? Kevin. All right, I can't do this. Coffee-buzzing, bump-in-the-night crap. I got serious things to say to you, okay? And I'm not gonna say them to this.

[DEAN gets up and turns his back on the coffeemaker]

Kevin, I'm sorry. You did not choose this life. You busted your ass, you lost everything, everyone you've loved...

[[MORE]]

This speech is yelling guilt the whole time. Is Dean trying to say every painful word that had been stabbing his heart and his mind since Kevin died. One of his huge, heavy bags on his back.

Then... We will have Castiel talking with Bartholomew, and again, this angel trying to bring the guilt on Castiel, the fault.

But before this... Bartholomew will try to recruit him... Castiel is not that kind of angel, the one who follows orders, so, Bartholomew can't barely understand what motives Castiel to keep fighting by his own...

And this is a foreshadow for that famous quote from Metatron: IT WAS ALWAYS TO SAVE ONE HUMAN. TO SABE DEAN WINCHESTER.

That's why Castiel needs to keep fighting, and that's what Castiel feels is waiting for him, for his help. Is waiting to be saved, even if he doesn't feel he deserves it.

And then, the exposition of Castiel's sins, and guilts...

But Castiel answered magnificently... And this proves he really grew up after being a human. He did what he had to to survive, because they are in war. But what he did... Doesn't define him.

The quote from Bartholomew WE FOLLOW ORDERS, is against Castiel's nature, and impress the huge difference between Heaven and Castiel.

Foreshadow of Demon!Dean/Crowley summer of love, and Castiel's finding another "new love"

Okay, we had a little scene in 9x14 between Sam and Dean...

What a funny foreshadow of what will be Dean and Crowley's summer of love, Dean giving some credit to the Demon, as if it was the beginning of a great friendship.

And we had a very interesting Destiel mirror with Ghostfacers in episode 9x15 Thin Man.

If you watch the episode, it will look like if Harry and Ed were representing the current issue between Sam and Dean. Their fight because of Gadreel possession. But if you dig deeper... They're not just mirroring the brothers there...

First of all I want you to pay attention to the clothes changes in Harry. Harry will be our shapeshifter mirror. He will be mirroring Cas and Dean, and it will be easier for you if you hear his words and see his color coded dressing.

With that on mind... Let's check this scene...

ED: What did Dana post?

HARRY [turning his phone around to show ED a picture of a girl]

No, it's just -- she changed her profile pic, and it's cropped, (...)

Okay, Dana mhm, is obviously making reference to Dean here... But Dean is with another man... Platonically?? That's a very funny word related to Destiel dynamic, but also... Dana/Dean is betraying... Harry dressed in BLUE COLOR (CASTIEL MIRROR), so, blatantly talking about what is about to come... Dean will betray Castiel with Crowley, but just platonically (🤣) so funny.

But this doesn't ends here... Because when Dean arrives... The dialogue between him and Harry (Castiel mirror) becomes very second meaning and flirty.

HARRY: Ahh, first of all, you guys don't scare us.

ED: Not at all.

HARRY [lifting his shirt to reveal a gun in his waistband] Say, "hola" to my little pistola.

DEAN: Am I supposed to be impressed with that treasure trail or the lady gun you got hiding in your, uh, pants there?

HARRY: Uh...Both?

Okay, this was for dirty minds, and we know who had a happy treasure trail, right? Hello sexy Mish.

And then we had this new reference to Dana again...

ED: Come on, man, would you please stop Facebook stalking your ex-girlfriend?

HARRY: I was right.

ED: Hmm?

HARRY: She changed her relationship status to "it's complicated." What does that even mean?

ED: Who cares? You broke up with her. Everything about that girl is complicated. Okay, I mean, she gets the cream puffs, she tells you to take out the filling. They're just puffs.

So Dean is complicated, and he will be in a complicated relationship with Crowley... Foreshadow again.

Now... Don't forget that ass slap to Harry/still Cas mirror dressed in blue, but now adding green and red to make reference to Destiel.

May I add this was too gay? And how Agus marked me... Dean is hitting his lower lip like, excuse me sir?

Finally, we arrived to the big fight between Harry (dressed in red, toxic Dean, it means he is mirroring Dean now) and Ed.

This fight brought to elements... One the brothers fight we saw at the end of Road Trip, mostly when Ed confess he did it for Harry (to lie). And two... The break up will be between Crowley and Dean at the beginning of season 10... So... Pay attention to this dialogue, thinking we have toxic/demon!Dean/Dean mirror in Harry and Crowley mirror in Ed...

Who was the woman Harry/Dean was about to marry, the woman who he had a serious and deep relationship? Dana, now... This reference is linked to Castiel. Castiel is the safe love the unconditional love, the man who will always be there for Dean. The angel showed him that in Road Trip. He's his loyal partner. The love of his life.

Now... This...

ED: Well, maybe it's not too late, you know? You could call her and see.

Okay, this just recalled me when Dean and Crowley broke up, Crowley went straight to give some stolen grace to Cas, to give Dean his ex boyfriend back.

HARRY: That's not gonna work.

ED: Well, maybe -- maybe it will.

Okay!! And let's stop here... Remember in episode 10x03 when Dean was back to normal and Castiel entered in his room? And Cas just threw I HAVE A WOMAN ON MY CAR? And Dean's face was like WHAT DID YOU JUST SAID??

Ah okay, so... Because Dean had this live summer with Crowley, with empty promises and all... Now he lost Cas, who searched for another love interest? (Hannah?) So yeah... Now Dana is Cas. And yes, Cas said this because he wanted some revenge and make Dean a little jealous.

Okay but that is for season 10 Chronicles we will have to wait...

Foreshadow of Cas and Sam healing Demon!Dean

This is just a brief comment about episode 9x17 Mother's little helper.

This scene...

Is a foreshadow of Sam facing his brother as a demon, Demon!Dean will act like a soulless evil, erratic and heartless.

This episode showed us an unrequited love and a sacrifice for that love, linked too to season 10 and how will Dean feel after becoming normal.

And because is talking about soulless people, is a foreshadow to Amara's plot too.

Sam releasing the souls is showing us he will be solving the way to bring his brother back at the beginning of season 10: again FAMILY LOVE (Sam) and ROMANTIC LOVE (Castiel) will save the day.

To Conclude:

Episode 14 talked about guilt as a central topic this season, but it began to show clues about Dean/Crowley dynamic in season 10, we had even Dean saying to Del (the demon) "Well, me and Crowley, we're -- we're tight now. Thick as thieves. Saw him just last month. We, uh, had a grand ol' time."

Episode 15 did the same with Ed and Harry as mirror shifters for Cas/Dean and Dean/Crowley. Talking us about a love triangle between CAS/DEAN/CROWLEY and DEAN/CAS/HANNAH.

Finally we had another foreshadow of how they will heal Dean at the beginning of season 10 in episode 9x17, when Sam released those souls.

13. I loved you. Loved. Past tense.

A/N: Longer than a drabble, we’re talkin’ 1,100 words. Sorry. Really, really sorry.

“Y/N, please.” Jared held his hand against the door, your entire weight pushing against the back of it as his force pressed on the front. “Please don’t do this. You can’t shut me out. Not again.” He begged.

“Jared, go home.” You sighed, back leaning against the wood. 

“I am home, Y/N. This is my home, here, with you.” He pushed on the door once again, and you were just too damn tired to keep fighting him, so you gave in. 

“Listen, I’m gonna step out of the way of the door, you can come in, but you need to listen to me. No questions asked.” You pinched the bridge of your nose. Jared hummed in agreement and you let him in, both of you sitting around the island in the center of the kitchen. 

“What’s going on, Y/N? Things have been so different lately. You’ve been distant, and I don’t just mean because of the hundreds of miles between us.” Jared reached for your hand, but you pulled it away and tucked it between your knees. 

“Jare…” You looked down. “Things are different. This isn’t something I can keep doing. This hurts like you wouldn’t believe. I have to be me without you, and that’s not something I ever knew how to do. It’s been us - me and you, Y/N and Jared - for as long as I can remember and now all of a sudden I just feel like that’s not the case anymore. It’s just I, me, Y/N.” Tears stung your eyes as they also welled in Jared’s. 

“What do you need? You can pack up your stuff and come with me back to Vancouver. Whatever you want to do, whatever you have to do to fix things.” Jared rambled on, offering any and every suggestion he could think of, but you just shook your head. 

“That’s not going to solve anything, Jared. The problem is - is that I loved you. Loved. Past tense. We’re not the same people we were a year ago, six months ago even. Things have changed, and as much as I hate to admit it, we’ve changed. This is it. My things are packed in the bedroom already. I’m going home. Home, home.” You stood up and started to turn, but Jared reached out and grabbed your arm, pulling you back to him. His arms wrapped around you and crushed you against his chest. 

“Please.” He cried into your hair. Your sobs were muffled by his shirt, your heart was breaking, but your mind was already made up. You had to leave.

“Just know that you’re always going to be my… everything, Jared. I just can’t love you anymore. Not like this.” You looked into his glossy hazel eyes and pulled yourself out of his grip, spinning and heading to grab your bags. You had a car waiting outside to take you to the airport.

You didn’t make it home that day. You didn’t even make it to the airport. The driver of your taxi took you right past the airport, whipped the car onto a dirt road a few miles away, and you spent the next six years staring at the walls of a locked closet. Your hands were bound by ropes, your feet shackled to the floor. You grew weaker by the day, bones becoming frail and skin turning ashen in color. 

One day, when your captor told you he was going out, and to be good until he returned, you mustered enough strength to slam your shoulder into the closet door. By the time you broke free, your collarbone was practically shattered, but you’d made it. You scrambled for the phone and dialed the only number you knew by heart - Jared’s. The loud ringing hurt your ears, having only heard the same voice for countless days. 

“Hello?” A woman’s voice came through the receiver. 

“Is - I’m looking for Jared.” Your voice was shaky, uncertain.

“Oh, he’s working out right now. Sorry about that.” She chirped. “I can have him call you back later.”

“No, it’s an emergency.” You shook your head, clamping your eyes shut. “I need Jared, now.” Shuffling came through the other end of the line, then your heard a muffled call of Jared’s name. 

“Who is it, baby?” A deep voice joined the shrill one you’d never heard before.

“Jared!” You cried out. 

“Y/N?” His eyes grew wide as he said your name. 

“Jared I - I need your help.” Your eyes shifted frantically around the home you’d never really gotten to see. “Come get me, please. I’m in Austin. I never went home. The driver, he flew past the airport and took me to - to some shack!” You cried. 

“I’m on my way.” 

Jared kicked the door down just shy of twenty minutes later. You were sitting on the kitchen floor with your right hand wrapped around the ball of your left shoulder, tears streaming down your face. 

“Hey, it’s okay. I’m here, I got you.” Jared lifted you under your back and knees, then carried you to a black SUV. A bald man was driving, and there was a petite woman with long, dark hair sitting in the passenger seat. “Y/N, I - there’s someone I want you to meet.” Jared tapped the woman on the shoulder. “This is Geneveive.” The mystery woman turned around as much as she could and smiled kindly at you. 

You forced a smile and gave a short nod. Then your eyes fell to where her hand was resting. Her belly was round like a basketball. Your gaze shifted to Jared, who was smiling at her, paying you no mind. 

“You’re pregnant.” You blurted. She giggled and nodded.

“Yeah, I am. Eight and a half months pregnant, thanks to the giant man sitting next to you.” She rolled her eyes teasingly. 

“Y/N…” Jared sighed. “This is Genevieve. I met her the year after you left. She was a guest star on the show.”

“And now you’re-” you looked at his hand “-married. And you’re gonna be a dad.” You scooted away from Jared and plastered yourself against the car door. 

“Once we get you to the hospital, we can talk, okay?” He reached over and patted your thigh. 

“Please don’t touch me.” You whimpered, eyes closed and teeth gritted together.

Jared pulled back as the bald man, Clif, drove you to the emergency room. You told your doctor not to let anyone in, not even the people who’d brought you. You didn’t want to see them again. You loved Jared. Loved. Past tense.

No… you still loved Jared.

Pairing: Gabriel x Reader

A/N: welcome to week 11 of @thing-you-do-with-that-thing’s SPN hiatus Writing Challenge… this also happens to be part 2 of my week 6 fic… I appreciate the love for all these fics and right now I don’t know where this one will take us, but as always give this some love and ignore any spelling grammer and ignorant errors in this fic…

Plot: its been only a few weeks since the day when your heart got torn away from you, your love had been ripped away from you… you now realized with each passing moment that went by you were loosing time… you had to find a way to bring him back… but how????

Part 1

The ring Gabriel gave you has been the key to bringing him back. You discover this about 3 weeks after watching him die.

You have been working with your brothers almost nonstop trying to devise a plan to put Lucifer back in the cage. To do that though you require Gabriel’s help and finding a way to bring him back has been very difficult. Cas didn’t have many options either having never brought an angel back.

You are showering after a restless night of little sleep

You haven’t taken the ring off since you put it on. Every day you look at it and silently cry for a few minutes.

On this particular day having never officially consumated your love you are feeling especially sad. You hold the ring against your cheek and whisper "Gabe I miss you so much, " then you kiss the jewel in the ring. It sparkles and light flashes all around you. Suddenly Gabe is standing in front of you in the shower. You kiss, oblivious to the lack of cover. His hands roam over you and a sigh escapes you..

Gabriel picks you up and holds you against the wall. He sildes himself into you breaking the barrier that held your innocence, for the first time in a long time you felt like you were home. His steady rhythm and intense kissing is all you notice as Gabe gives all his pent-up love to making love to you.

After the shower ends and you both are laying on your bed, Gabriel holds you close but winced as he did so.

You look up at him.

Y/N:  "Are you ok? Are you even alive? How did you come back?"

Gabriel looks down at you.

Gabriel: "Oh I'm alive. I can tell from the pain."

You begin to apologise but he stops you.

Gabriel: "Don’t even think of apologising. You have nothing to apologise for. I enjoyed every second in that shower. It was your constant devotion to me and the kiss on the jewel along with the confession of love that allowed me to come back."

You weren’t even worried at that moment how your brothers would react, I mean you had broken away from them shortly after witnessing the love of your life, your soulmate die…

Y/N: “when you died a part of me died with you… for the first time since that moment I feel like I’m alive again… though my brothers tried to help me cope with that, I left them I ventured off on my own… they haven’t been able to convince me to come back or even let them see me… I can’t go back to living with them not until we find out how to tell them…”

Gabe: “they really didn’t take it well when they found out that I was your soulmate… especially Sam… but I think they only have…”

Y/N: “they only have my best interests at heart but they are my family… and right now I don’t even care what happens to me as long as I have you I can’t be harmed…”

Gabe: “even though that’s true babe you can’t do anything that will alert any of my brothers that I’m back… right now my brothers are trying to convince yours to be their vessels for the apocalypse.. we have to stop my brothers especially Lucifer from gaining Sam as a vessel… if Michael gains Dean things should be ok… if your brothers come in contact with you after being taken over as vessels my brothers will know I’m back…”

Y/N: “but then how do we find out if my brothers have said yes or not…”

Gabe tightened his arms around you as he kissed your forehead…

Gabe: “lets not worry bout that right now… we can worry bout it after we get settled into life together…”

You snuggled in and felt his hands on your sides… you both fell asleep together and happy.. the only thing that would make things worse would be the angels finding out Gabriel was back… they would come after both of you… they wouldn’t be able to harm either of you but they would certainly try…

There was one thing you were certain of: right there you were the happiest that you had been in weeks… everything was perfect…

You got the occasional text from your brothers but it had been days since the last text… you weren’t worried though you knew your brothers would get through whatever mess they were in…

You felt your mind slide into an unconscious state for the first time in a long time you had a peaceful sleep… but in your dream you watched in flashes your brothers getting thrown around and bloody and beaten while being pulled in opposite directions of light and fire…

This dream so vivid so realistic snapped you right out of your sleep… you sat straight up and was heavily breathing by the time Gabriels hands had you turned facing him as you snapped back to the sound of his voice…

Gabriel: “Y/N babe its ok its ok…”

Y/N: “my brothers are in trouble… I had a dream, well more like visions.. they were being beaten, thrown around and they were being pulled away from eachother and it felt so real it looked as vivid as im looking at you right now… it scared me…”

Gabriel had to think for a moment before lifting your chin to gaze into your tear filled eyes and smiling lightly as he wiped your eyes…

Gabriel: “how did it look when they were being pulled apart…”

Y/N: “Dean was being pulled into some sort of bright light, Sam was being pulled into the fire… Gabe it seemed so real…”

Gabriel: “I am too my love, perhaps you should try calling one of your brothers… you know maybe a gesture of some kind…”

You smiled as Gabe handed you your phone and held you close as you dialed Dean’s phone… the other end clicked as you could hear someone else on the other end breathing…

Y/N: “Dean it’s me…”

Ellen: “Y/N…”

You were shocked that it was Ellen who answered the phone… you were now fearful for your brothers safety…

Y/N: “Ellen is everything ok? Where is dean?”

Ellen: “that’s what I would like to know he and Sam were supposed to meet me and Jo at the roadhouse to try and check out those rings they nipped from 3 of the horsemen but they haven’t shown up yet… or well I guess they were here cause the impalas here and so is dean’s phone but they aren’t those boys have disappeared...”

You gasped and held onto Gabe’s hand… you felt the air get caught in your throat, you didn’t know what would come out of your mouth as gabe looked at you and nodded…

Y/N: “Ellen I’m bringing reinforcements and coming to the roadhouse… and I don’t know how much my brothers told you bout my soulmate and who he is but I managed to bring him back from the dead and he is gonna help us… he wants to help for me… plus he is one of the good guys he is just a brother caught between 2 brothers in a war dating back centuries… he would have been forced to choose sides if not for me…”

Ellen: “yes they told me and I say follow your heart sweety but are you sure about all of it I mean both you and your soulmate should be extremely…”

Y/N: “Ellen we know we need to be careful but there are so many things about to happen… ive seen it and that’s part of the reason why I was calling… I wanted to make sure they were ok… I guess I need a sparring partner to make sure im not too rusty to rescue my brothers…”

Ellen: “I think we can work something out… i guess we will see you soon ish… where bouts are you?”

Y/N: “just outside of san Francisco… It was nice place to be for a while I mean I dealt with the occasional ghost thing but that was it… this place is really quiet…”

Ellen: “alright safe travels kiddo…”

You hang up the phone and Gabe gives you a hug.

Gabriel: “great we are both caught in the war between our brothers…”

Y/N: “it’s like we can’t choose sides and we can’t deny eachother seemingly enough from what ellen said it sounded like my brothers were accepting my choice to pursue my soulmate… I guess we need to get dressed in order to go to save my brothers…”

He places a gentle kiss on your forehead to reassure you.

Gabriel: “don’t worry my flower you and I will be together forever… I mean you will be given a chance for immortality once you meet Michael… we have to either be blessed by Michael or we have to have him present at our wedding… which of course you want your little family at our wedding but…”

Gabriel pulls out a ring and looks at you…

Gabriel: “Y/N will you marry me…?”

Y/N: “yes of course I will… and I would love to meet Michael… but we need to save my brothers too…”

Gabe slid the ring on your finger making it official… You both get dressed and you pack your few belongings. Then Gabe snaps his fingers and you are both standing with Ellen and Jo in the Roadhouse, you were instantly pursued by a big hug from Ellen and a huge long lasting hug from Jo…

Ellen: “oh darling its been far too long… really I mean its such a far out of the way place to live hun… don’t worry Jo will help keep you more calm…”

Jo: “its been far too long.. what did you forget how to pick up the phone… come girl let me get you something descent to wear…”

Jo went then for another hug and ran upstairs to grab you something else to wear… as ellen turned to Gabriel and smiled…

Ellen: “you must be Gabriel… im ellen…”

Gabe: “its very nice to meet the person whose been like a mother to my beloved Y/N…”

Ellen: “well im happy that she is happy… I mean ever since that mark appeared on her thigh she had been wondering who was on the other end of that, but now I can see she is in very good hands…”

Y/N: “thank you ellen… I just hope we can find my brothers… when you spoke to them did they say anything, anything at all to try & tip you off that they were being pursued…”

Ellen only shoke her head…

Ellen: “no they didn’t they only said that if anything happened to them at all at any point I was to contact you…”

Y/N: “ill be right back…”

You ran out to the impala and you found: Sam’s laptop, Dean’s keys, and a bunch of papers tracking Pestilence…

You grabbed everything and went inside… you walked in to see Jo coming towards you with a set of clothes… she grabbed your hand and dragged you towards the bathroom and she put the clothes on the counter…

Jo: “ok girl strip down im gonna help you get hunt ready… also we agreed that you would throw those clothes out the next time I saw you… I have had this outfit ready for a while.. go ahead take a look…”

You then looked and saw the most shockingly amazing clothes…

You smiled as you hugged Jo and she started helping you get into your new outfit… this one would forsure knock anyone on their ass… you loved having Jo as your best friend…

You stood in the mirror with everything on except the jacket and you smiled..

Y/N: “jo I love it… but my hair… what are we doing with my hair it cant stay like this…”

Jo: “your hair wont be an issue when im done…turn away from the mirror your not allowed to peak…”

After about 10 minutes of her pulling twisting and braiding your hair, you were finally allowed to look in the mirror…

Jo: “ok you look amazing keep your eyes closed while I come in front of you with a portable mirror… trust me girl, you look amazing…”

You heard her and waited patiently keeping your eyes closed till you felt her right in front of you…

Jo: “ok open your eyes girl…”

You did as told and in the mirror you saw your hair and smiled bigger…

for when you saw this it was like you were seeing you for the first time in months… you hugged Jo instantly and before you walked out she handed you your new jacket and you felt amazing…

when you walked out you knew you would get some longing looks… especially from a certain angel but you didn’t know what Ellen would say…

Jo: “may I present the new and improved hunt/rescue ready… Y/N…”

You came out from behind Jo as Ellen looked like she was about to cry…

Ellen: “oh hon you look so beautiful…”

You turned next to Gabe who was instantly in front of you...

Gabe: “oh babe you look amazing… I think I have an idea for finding and rescuing Sam & Dean but it’s a little risky…”

Y/N: “I’ll try anything no matter how risky in order to save my brothers and lock lucifer back up…”

Gabe: “if your serious about this know this that my plan may drain you of some of your energy…”

Y/N: “Gabe I’ll do anything, what’s your idea?”

Gabe: “I can dip into your thoughts of Sam and Dean use those to track down where your brothers are being held… but like I said babe it will drain you of some of your energy…”

Y/N: “do it, find them I already committed myself to you Gabe how much worse can this get…”

You could never live with yourself if your brothers died. Gabriel kisses you and dives into your thoughts bringing up your memories of your brothers. You just relaxed you weren’t even wanting to try & fight him, you trusted Gabe with all your heart.

Gabriel at the same time, scours the entire planet in seconds, although it feels like an eternity with him in your mind, and locates them.

Gabe: “They are being held in an underground container but it’s a 20 hour drive. I could teleport you all there in seconds but the horsemen would feel my presence the moment we get there."

Gabriel explains.

Y/N: “what do we do then… I cant loose you…”

Then he pauses and looks at you.

Gabe: “Maybe though i can hide my true identity until its action time. Y/N, you will be my hiding place. Our connection is stronger than it’s ever been and so is our love. Especially since this morning. I will take my body and angelic presence back into the ring. You, my beautiful soulmate will have access to my power to teleport to where your brothers are. Once inside you can release me, and we will get your brothers out."

Everyone looks at Gabriel and then at each other. You take a deep breath and nod.

Gabriel kisses you again before disappearing into the ring. Your eyes glow white slightly for a split second…

Then you feel power beginning to surge through your body. In your mind, you can visualize where Sam and Dean are.

You, Ellen and Jo head to the Impala, get in and you snap your fingers.

Instantly you are on the side of a highway with nothing to see for miles except dense forest. You feel your brothers tensing in fear, and you know instantly they don’t have much time left.

Y/N: "This way,"

you shout and wave to the others, taking off across the road into the dark woods.

You glow a little from the power, enough to light the way for everyone. You stop at a fallen pine tree, rotting and full of termites.

Y/N: "Here, under this ground, the container...and Pestilence."

You point towards the ground and it begins to break apart, revealing a hidden cavern. Suddenly dozens of skeltons laiden with beetles and maggots come charging out of the hidden entrance. They attack the three of you and battle ensues. Your borrowed power allows you to ditch two-thirds of the demonic warriors. Jo and Ellen yell over to you.

"We will hold the rest off while you find Sam and Dean."

You didn’t like leaving them with the remaining skeletons but you know this may be your only chance to find the boys.

You nod and rush down into the cavern. It’s a bit dark as you make your way down the only open passage. At this point you figure it’s safe to release Gabriel. You begin to place a kiss on your jewel but are suddenly grabbed from behind by large bony hands covered in insects. You try to scream but a hand covers your mouth.

You have a spelled dagger hidden up your sleeve, and you bring it out and slice at the hand covering your mouth. Pestilence screams and throws you to the ground, at which point you kiss the jewel. Gabriel appears in all his angelic glory and sends Pestilence flying far down the corridor. He helps you up and whispers in your ear,

Gabe: “Go, find your brothers. I will take care of this."

Y/N: “be careful… remember we have to live long enough to get Michael’s blessing…”

You kiss him and run far then you stop. You feel pain and fear through your still lingering connection with Gabriel. Sam and Dean!!

It’s coming through one of the walls. In an instant, feeling your panic, Gabe comes to your side and blasts the wall for you before returning to the battle. You make your way through the rubble and come face to face with a large seemingly unbreakable box. Faintly inside you can hear your brothers screaming for help. You frantically search for an opening to the box but fail to find one. You can’t find any controls either.

Y/N: “Sam! Dean! Hang on!"

You begin to sob and banging on the wall wishing it open. Suddenly Cas appears and in a blink of an eye he has Sam and Dean out of the box. Then as quickly as he flashed in he was gone again, leaving you with your brothers. They are unresponsive and writhing in pain. You yell for help, realizing that whatever was inside that box with Sam and Dean must have infected them.

Gabriel was just ready to wrap up Pestilence when he felt your anguish.

He looks quickly at his adversary, who is seemingly down for the count. Thinking he has a few seconds to spare he flashes to your side and lays a hand on Sam and on Dean. His hands begin to glow and the botflies that had gotten into your brothers are no more. Gabriel looks at you and smiles, much preferring the happiness he now feels from you.

Pestilence was almost gone, but Gabriel underestimated his opponent’s strength. He had quietly followed Gabriel’s essence and waited outside the door for the right moment to strike.

Gabe leans over to kiss you before heading back to his fight. As he does Pestilence sends large Angel blades into Gabriel’s back, and causes a scream of immense pain from your beloved.

Y/N: “I will kill you for that asswipe!"

With that your eyes glow white, and Pestilence screeches as he is slowly turned to dust. Sam and Dean are in awe but quickly recover and scramble to your side.

Sam: “Y/N, I'm sorry. I wish there was something we could do."

Sam places a hand on your shoulder and so does Dean,

You look up and your brothers through your tears.

Y/N: "I know."

You whisper and bend down to hug Gabe who is struggling to breathe and stay alive.

Your tears fall harder and you place wet kisses on his forehead and lips, not caring about the blood that is beginning to ooze from his mouth.

As his hand falls from cupping the side of your face, and his breathing stops, you scream

Y/N: "NO!"

You place your hands over his heart and you begin to glow. The blades disappear and so do the wounds. Within a minute Gabriel is awake and alive and kissing you with such ferver and passion it takes your breath away.

"I knew you were my soulmate, Y/N. Marry me"

to which you immediately reply

"Yes!"

And hug him tight. Sam and Dean, although not fond of your choice of lover, are happy for you both and express their gratitude to Gabe for saving their lives.

It was a while later when you, Gabe, your brothers, Ellen and Jo all got to the roadhouse again that everything seemed to take a greater toll… for inside there was a man, everyone except your beloved was on their guard…

Michael: “hello brother…”

Gabe: “Michael…”

Michael: “Gabriel, its been far too long…”

Gabe: “haven’t seen you round since you took over the god squad…”

Michael: “im here not on business but on the fact that you and Y/N are finally together I knew you may want to talk to me so im here as family…”

Gabriel: “well brother do we receive your blessing to marry???”

Michael looked at you as you stood tall in Gabriel’s arms… he then came over to you and Gabe placing one hand on you and the other on Gabe, he smiles…

Michael: “by the power vested in me by the laws of heaven I hereby bless you both that you may marry and be fruitful… minding now that I am so proud of what was accomplished to try and lock my brother back up so here is a tip… Dean if you don’t want to be my vessel that’s fine there is another who will work just as well… but you need to be mindful… going after death’s ring will be treacherous you will undergo a few trials… but either way stopping lucifer is priority #1…”

You feel Gabe’s arms around you as Michael removes his hand from Gabriel and places both on you and smiles again…

Michael: “now by the power of heaven I charge you… do you Y/N accept the power I bestow upon you???”

Y/N: “I accept the power bestowed to me by you…”

Michael: “and do you swear to rule with grace and beauty to not take anything lightly and not to let war destroy earth heaven or hell??”

Y/N: “I solemly swear so to do…”

Michael: “Gabriel is a prince which means I have one thing to say: long live Y/N the new princess of heaven…”

Everyone in the room clapped and Gabriel looked at you then his brother and smiled..

Gabriel: “thank you brother for the blessing… and for reinstating my title…”

Gabriel approached you and smiled…

Gabe: “well my princess what kind of wedding would we like?”

Y/N: “something festive but we have time…”

The New Girl Part 6

Summary: Lucifer and the Reader are now best friends. Obviously this is gonna make Dean very jealous. A new problem is introduced(because it’s the Winchesters, how could something go smoothly and perfectly).

A/N: This is mostly just a break from the angst I’ve been writing lately and the shit storm called real life. 

     Dean’s POV

     I turned up my music, trying to tune out the laughter coming from (Y/N)’s room. Of all the angels, she had to be all buddy-buddy with the devil. Frankly it was kind of scary how quickly they became best friends. Yeah, they were best friends. I heard another round of laughter pealing through the bunker and groaned. The only reason I hadn’t kicked them out yet is because the sound of (Y/N)’s laughter was beautiful. I wish she would laugh like that around me.

     “How have you not kicked them out already?” I looked up as Sam walked into the room. 

     “I was just about to.” I got up from my chair, but before I could take a step, the noise cut off and it got eerily quiet. I looked at Sam who was just as confused as I was. Sudden silence after three hours of nonstop laughter? Something was definitely up. I went to go check on them, only to find (Y/N)’s room was empty. 

     “Sam, we have a problem.” I picked up a note that was sitting on the nightstand by (Y/N)’s bed. 

     Went to visit some other angels. Lucifer thinks there’s something about my gift that he can’t remember. Be back in a few hours.               ~(Y/N)

     “Where’d they go?” I handed Sam the note. This might not be a good thing. As much of a dick as Lucifer was, even I could see that he really did care about (Y/N). If he was worried then I definitely should be worried. 

     “What does she mean by ‘something else’?” 

     “I don’t know Sammy. Guess we just have to wait and see.” The past six months since she started hunting with us had been relatively calm. That usually meant that a storm was coming. And I think it just started to rain.

     Reader’s POV

     “What do you mean?” You looked back and forth between the angels. They weren’t saying what you thought they were saying, right? 

     “I’m afraid you know exactly what he means (Y/N). I really wish it wasn’t true.” This couldn’t be happening. There was no way. 

     “But, how? I’m just a human.” You looked around as the angels surrounding you looked between themselves.

     “Actually…..” You’ve got to be kidding me.

     “Are you serious? First this, and now, you tell me I’m not human? What am I then?” The angels looked among themselves again, sharing a silent glance that you couldn’t begin to guess what meant.

     “I’m not telling her, you tell her Gabriel”

     “I don’t feel like getting stabbed, she doesn’t have an angel blade does she?”

     “I think Lucifer should tell her.”

     “What? No! I choose life.”

     “You’re her best friend!”

     “Enough! Will someone please just tell me what’s going on?!?” All four of the present angels turned to you before Lucifer began to speak.

     “Fine, just don’t shoot the messenger, okay?” He took a deep breath running his hand across his face, as the other three angels stepped back, away from you. “Your mom was a demon, your dad was a fallen angel.” What? 

     “Ha ha, very funny. Now tell me the truth.” You looked at all of their serious expressions, they weren’t joking. “Why would an angel, marry a demon? It doesn’t make any sense.”

     “Your father was one of Lucifer’s cronies. He fell when Lucifer was cast out of Heaven. While on earth he met a women and fell in love with her. When she became possessed, he didn’t want to believe it. So he ignored it. He pretended that she was fine and everything was okay. Until the day she killed him.”

     "So what you're telling me is, I'm not human? Not even partially?" The angels looked at you sadly.

     "Well what else don't I know about myself?" You had said the question sarcastically, but now none of the angels would meet your eyes. "Guys?"

     "You're not gonna like this."

Dean’s POV

     I was starting to get worried. (Y/N) had been gone for three hours and no matter how close her and Lucifer had gotten, I still didn’t trust, or even like him. It had nothing to do with (Y/N). It’s not like I was jealous or anything. I didn’t care about how close they had gotten. And I definitely didn’t keep thinking about that night when I walked into the motel room to find her asleep in his arms. And there was no chance that I wished she would lie down in my arms. No way. I just didn’t trust Lucifer.

     “Dean!” I jerked my head up to see Sam standing in the doorway of my room. “I’ve been calling your name for the past ten minutes. (Y/N)’s back.”

     “Where?” I jumped up from my bed.

     “She’s in the library.” I walked very fastly there, only to find she wasn’t there alone. Lucifer, Gabriel, Cas, and Balthazar were all standing around her. 

     “What’s going on?” They all looked a little antsy. 

     “Umm... You guys aren’t gonna like this.....” Sam and I sat there, dumbfounded, as (Y/N) told us what she’d found out from the angel’s only a few hours earlier. She was right, I did not like this. Not one bit.

(7x09/7x12/7x14/7x15)

Hello my friends! I bring to you another volume from this series of metas.

Today is Edlund time!!! So we'll have a lot of Destiel here and Dean missing Cas badly, and being miserable for him too. Thank you Edlund.

I want to say thank you to my friend @agusvedder , she made the gifs for this meta and discussed with me the episodes.

Let's start this...

Edlund put order and re-direct the storyline

When episode 7x09 How to Win Friends and Influence Monsters started, I saw order and direction for the first time in many episodes. Edlund wrote a STOP sign on the road, and writes things as it should be.

1) He takes the Hallucifer storyline again.

2) He explains DEAN IS IN BAD SHAPE AND IS SUICIDAL BECAUSE HE MISS CASTIEL.

These two VITAL points, will be imprescindible for the second half of the season, and I guess the decision of getting back Misha Collins had been taken already, and they had to change things because COMING BACK TO WHAT THE SHOW WAS JUST THE TWO BROTHERS and playing A LOT with Wincest was lowering the rating.

Dean misses Cas

In this episode, we had people eating food with that substance Leviathans had put on corn syrup, and everyone was like intoxicated with it, acting like zombies. Dean was in the first stage, so he began to act weird.

Sam and Bobby noticed this, they pointed this to him, and Dean talks in self defense, but is very, very interesting the thing he mentioned first of all... Remember they were with their defense mechanism lowered, so his brain acted like a drink or a child, without strains, so... Look what Dean said...

"The best I felt in months..."

Okay, let's stop here... Dean is stoned so his words are the very truth coming out from his most repressed feelings... He had been depressed and suicidal the last months... He was feeling really bad, sad, hopeless... Why??? Because he killed Sammy's friend? That Kitsune woman?? No. Beacuse of Castiel! (Thanks Edlund)

Cas? Black goo? I don't even care anymore. 

Right there! 👆 He mentioned Cas, Black Goo, the way Cas died, Castiel is in his mind the whole time. Is Cas the reason why he's in bad shape. He misses Cas. Badly.

Then, after this, Bobby attacks again, because he's seeing in Dean this suicidal behavior that worries him a lot. Knowing loosing Cas was the thing that marked Dean deeply Bobby tries to talk with him again...

BOBBY: I want to talk about your new party line.

DEAN: Party? What are you talking about? I don't even vote.

BOBBY: "The world's a suicide case. We save it, it just steals more pills"?

DEAN: Bobby, I'm here, okay? I'm on the case. What's the problem?

And as always... Dean is avoiding the topic again...

I'm on the case, I'm concentrated on this, don't put my head in thinking about that again.

BOBBY: I've seen a lot of hunters live and die. You're starting to talk like one of the dead ones, Dean.

DEAN: No, I'm talking the way a person talks when they've had it, when they can't figure out why they used to think all this mattered.

BOBBY: Oh, you poor, sorry... You're not a person.

Okay, here... Dean talks in third person, but what he says is legit, it comes from the bottom of his heart. But Bobby wants more from him. And because he is honest, Bobby is afraid Dean is trying to kill himself by doing the kamikaze thing. So he needs Dean to confront his lost and work on it.

BOBBY: Come on, now. You tried to hang it up and be a person with Lisa and Ben. And now here you are with a mean old coot and a van full of guns. That ain't person behavior, son. You're a hunter, meaning you're whatever the job you're doing today. Now, you get a case of the Anne Sextons, something's gonna come up behind you and rip your fool head off.

What Bobby is trying to say here is YOU WERE A PERSON ONCE, NOW YOU'RE A CRAZY SUICIDAL GUY. He mentions Lisa and Ben because that's the idea of a normal life a person that came out from the hunter life wants. And that's what Sam, Bobby even Cas thought Dean wanted for himself.

This is heartbreaking, Bobby is desperate, because Dean doesn't take his words seriously. He even use words wrong by the end of the speech. But Dean gets the message.

Dean was a person once. He had faith, he had his best friend, he had a thing not so Platonic growing in his heart for him, he trusted him, he was his savior. But he betrayed him, and when they were about to solve things, Cas was gone.

Of course he's depressed and suicidal... Because he not just lost Cas, but everything he represented in Dean's heart and soul.

During the episode, we discover the monster committed suicide... As a parallel with as in the river.

In episode 7x13 The Slice Girls, Sam talks about Dean's behavior too...

SAM: You know what? Bobby was right. Your head's not in it, man. When Cas died, you were wobbly, but now...

DEAN: Now what? Oh, what, you're dealing with it so perfect? Yeah, news flash, pal – you're just as screwed up as I am! You're just... bigger.

(...)

SAM: Look... Dean, the thing is, tonight... It almost got you killed. Now, I don't care how you deal. I really, really don't. But just don't – don't get killed.

Okay, they're having finally the conversation, because now Bobby is dead, and everything is out of control. But is interesting the word Sam choose to describe Dean's shape after Castiel's death... "Wobbly" like loosing stability. He had just lost his strengths, Cas, and that's sad but beautiful at the same time.

And I can't forget episode 7x14 Plucky Pennywhistle Magic Maneuverism where Dean wanted so so badly his rainbow toy... Exquisite.

Two Destiel dark mirrors

Then we have two blatant Destiel's mirror in episode 7x12 and 7x15.

Let's began with 7x12 Time after Time, after time.

In this one, Dean traveled accidentally back in time with Elliot Ness who's a hunter too, to kill Chronos.

And we had at the beginning of the episode a very bi-Dean scene very well known by the fandom, remember Dean checking out a soldier in uniform in the street? Yeah.

But we'll, back to Chronos, when they were about to hunt him, he said a very interesting thing...

CHRONOS: Lila, I'm sorry, but, you just – everything I said to you is true –

DEAN: Oh, he might have left out a few details. He tell you he's a monster who jumps through time?

CHRONOS: [shouting at DEAN] I'm a God! [speaking to LILA] Look, I'm not a monster. Listen. I'm the opposite.

Chronos is trying to convince Lila, his lover, about his true identity, but pay attention to his words... Is a recall to what Dean and Cas had to live when CAS was on the dark side. Even the word God is a reminder of Godstiel.

Let's continue...

ELIOT NESS: Well, don't forget to tell her about all the people you murdered along the way, boy scout.

LILA: What?

CHRONOS: It's not like that. I do it for you, Lila.

LILA: I don't understand.

Okay are we again on that cabin with CAS trapped in the fire?

The word boy scout it talks about a good, kind and nice person that make things to help others. So we could call that Cas too, because he thought he was doing what he was doing for the greatest cause.

Now... Chronos says those words to Lila "I do it for you." And that's to put a finger on our wounds, people... Yes the same phrase Cas repeated to Dean.

Let's leave Chronos right here, and continue with episode 7x15 Repo Man (Edlund's).

I want to point here, this one was a blatant mirror, written so exquisitely by Edlund, and choosing each word, to make us see how Dean was feeling about loosing Cas... Pay attention...

JEFFREY: Did you ever think that maybe I loved being possessed? Did you? 

Now, the word connection here, as a mirror of the profound bond between Dean and Cas. Dean loved it.

Castiel saved Dean from Hell, we can say he liberated Dean from perdition. Then, he gave him faith, a purpose in his life. A new and true mission.

Again... Cas was his faith, his strengths. He changed Dean's life for ever.

Okay, isn't this a description of what Dean is feeling now? Jeffrey is describing Dean's behavior and cause of his depression by describing his own experience with the demon. And is beautiful, because this is previous to Castiel's return in episode 17. Like a premonition, a preparation.

Yes, my friends, Edlund is emphasizing DEAN IS IN BAD SHAPE, SAD, DEPRESSED, SUICIDAL, FOR CASTIEL.

After this, Jeffrey can summon the demon, but he possesed another body, and not him. And he gets jealous, well, this is kind of hilarious because when Dean found Emmanuel, he was married with his female version, but, it felt kind of a cheating, isn't? Okay, we could say... This is a foreshadow to that. 🤣

To Conclude:

These episodes written by Edlund showed us Dean was in bad shape because of Cas. Drawing a couple of Strong's points like Dean being stoned and talking without strains about his feelings and Cas and Bobby talking with him because he sensed his suicidal behavior.

There was two dark Destiel mirrors, but the one that was a blatant and heartbreaking was Jeffrey and his demon. We could say each word Jeffrey said, it was Dean talking about his lost connection with Castiel.

These episode were a preparation to Misha's return in episode 17.

still confused about mandy and cas, that wasn’t necessary. same with dean and the lady in the bar last episode. as much as i’d love to see the “i love yous” in this episode as romantic between dean and cas, they clearly were only meant to be 50% romantic, interpreted whichever way the viewer prefers. so the showrunners are maybe adding in sidenote heterosexual elements that objectively mean nothing, but for those who like to see tfw as HetroStraight (TM), the info is just... there. but it’s not possible eradicate the bisexual/demi-asexual loVEFEST THAT’S BEEN BREWING FOR 9 YEARS THAT’S DEFINITELY THERE AND IS DEFINITELY ROMANTIC AND HAS BEEN ALL ALONG AND WILL ALWAYS BE, DESPITE SNEAKY HALF/HALF MAKE-UP-YOUR-OWN-MIND DIRECTING AND SCRIPTING

to be fair though, i’m learning a lot about how creators get the best of both worlds. this is the Bipartisan TV Show. this is the same way donald fucking trump and kellyanne fucking conway and all the other politics snake people manage to fuck everyone over and not answer questions. they present both sides of the argument, each “fact” contradicting the other, and the viewer picks the one they agree with, and explain away the other argument however they like.
