Was reading a fanfiction and this idea just poof up my brain

Cale, the trash young master who can only drink and throwing tantrums

One day, he came home "drunk" bringing a stranger

Something that never happened

It's Choi Jung Soo (he already read the novel)

Jung Soo told Cale (indirectly) to help his uncle and found a middle ground to not make Cale insult Harris village when he found the reason why

Two days after, he brought Choi Han

Three days later, it's Lee Soo Hyuk

And the next day, it's Kim Rok Soo

So, yeah, the young master suddenly bring in men whose three are definitely almost twice his age (lol)

With similar but unique appearances, even their names are foreigner

Cue their journey with some sprinkles of misunderstanding over their relationship

When Han found out that Jung Soo is his nephew, he turned into a kinda doting uncle

It's all GoD fault

Originally I was going to write a crack poem on Cale and his slacker life... but somehow it ended up as soos angst 😅

The Record of Them

He replays.

The laughter and joy of a time long gone.

Of a hand holding onto his,

Of a hug, keeping him safe.

And he replays it all over again,

Like a broken record.

Because he can't seem to let go,

Because they were all he ever had.

In a new world, in a new place,

In a new body,

Among his new family,

He replays.

Of the clash of sword against monster skin,

Of pools of blood,

And eyes that never opened again.

And he could never forget.

The warmth he felt,

The love they taught,

Every memory, crystal clear.

He regrets, and he replays it all over again.

okay this is like my first post on this blog but like this could not leave my mind. I bet KRS has those crazy long and random strong passwords that google suggests you when you make an account and like. He doesn't even need to worry about forgetting about it if the autofill doesn't work. Hell I bet he just straight up keyboard rashes whenever he makes a new account, stares at the password for about 5 seconds and make a new account. I can just imagine CJS and LSH and the rest of his team watching in petrified horror as he types in a string of random-ahh characters in perfect order by heart whenever he needs to log into his computer or something. it takes minimum 45 seconds for anyone else type in his lock screen password. Actually you know that meme with the crazy lockscreen pattern combination? That's just KRS' phone.

It's literally just-

Choi Jungsoo: Hey Roksoo can you tell me your laptop password? I need to borrow it for a sec. Kim Roksoo: Sure, it's *baksvfkafbljckavgflWUI68125329R8jblfavxvJkaDBdv* Choi Jungsoo .... Lee Soohyuk: ... Kim Roksoo: Did you catch that? Choi Jungsoo: Our furniture started floating and Lee Soohyuk's coffee mug grew legs.

Imagine if after going through hell and back to track down the missing Choi Jung Gun, the first thing Cale says to him is,

"Sunbae... How did you know the size of the mirror in my bathroom? And the reason it was installed there as well?"

Followed only by a barrage of questions CJG is unable to answer as he sweats profusely while CH and CJS give him the most bombastic of side eyes.

I went back to reread the novel from the beginning, and I'm stuck on the fact that Choi Jung Gun was extremely descriptive in writing The Birth of A Hero. To the point it's kind of ridiculous.

For a family that was one of the firsts to fall during the war, as well as Cale being the first remarkable interaction Choi Han had after Harris village, I guess it's somewhat understandable that he mentioned their names and relationships.

However.

Why the fuck is describing the large full body mirror in Cale Henituse's bathroom necessary? Why did he mention that Cale Henituse was the only one in the family to have one as large because he paid attention to his appearance a lot?

Unless that mirror is kind of like a secret door to a secret chamber hidden in there, that was an absolutely useless piece of detail.

I genuinely want to see if the author will ever expand on this.

cale: yes, I think he’d say it. Depending on who was injured and if the messenger was a part of the scheme, he would follow through (but not before torture).

choi han: still no. he might kill the messenger, but I don’t think he’d do it to send a message

ron: he’s not saying because he’s a professional, but he’s absolutely doing it

lee soohyuk: … unsure. He’s introduced as a nice guy, but cale's scheming and ruthless plots came from somewhere.

choi jungsoo: no, it seems like he has a pretty solid moral compass. Then again, I haven’t caught with part 2, so…
