chloe is a sixteen year old girl. that is not to say she can’t be held accountable for her actions, but to say your actions at sixteen do not define you for the rest of your life. she is capable of change and growth despite her jealousy and lack of impulse control. to add onto that: not everything is black and white, coming from someone who is borderline and thinks in black and white the majority of the time. every situation is nuanced, and some people need to stop acting like a sixteen year old girl (who made a bad decision under the guise that jeremy wanted to hook up) is evil reincarnated—especially when dywh was not entirely her fault and all methods of protest jeremy tried were in his head. directed to his squip. i’m not quite sure how she was supposed to know he didn’t want it when the squip didn’t let him move or speak, and she and jeremy were both tipsy. both of them had clouded judgment and yes, chloe did an awful thing to jeremy, but it was not entirely her fault and this fandom should at least recognize that much. (coming from someone with quite a handful of sexual trauma)

that is also to say: you’re totally allowed to not like a character! but it seems a lot like performative behavior these days.
