Hugo (2011): Placing One of Film's Pioneers on His Rightful Throne
Hey guys! I’m a little under the weather at the moment so the next couple of reviews are actually going to be repost just to give you guys something to read while I’m recovering. I decided to share this one because this was literally the first movie review I had ever written. I wrote this for a class called open “film genre and criticism. ” it wasn’t my first film class, but it was the first time…

Small excerpt in which Chloe catches Red playing the piano:
When Chloe entered the small room, she gaped at the scene in front of her. The Princess of Hearts was at a piano, playing the gentlest love song she had ever heard. Reds back was to the door and Tale as Old as Time echoed off the walls around them. For the first time ever, Chloe was able to see the princess’s royal upbringing. Her posture was straight, but not stiff. Her movements were graceful, not as guarded as they normally were. Her defensive mannerisms were nowhere to be found, and the bluenette found herself in awe not only because of the melody surrounding her, but also at the sight of Red fully relaxed, as her finger delicately danced across the keys.
The moment ended too quickly for Chloe to catch. Red stiffened immediately after the last note, and whipped around to face her intruder. Chloe didn’t know how the princess became aware of her presence, but she wished she could go back to the moment before when Red’s golden eyes weren’t glaring at her.
“Hi-” she tried to speak as Red stood, but the other girl cut her off with a harsh tone.
“What are you doing here?” Her hands were balled into fists, and her shoulders were tense. Chloe found herself lifting her own in an attempt to deescalate the situation.
“I was just looking for you,” despite her best efforts her voice shook. “You weren’t at our lockers.”
Red paused to take in the sight of girl in front of her. Slowly, she released the tension in her shoulders, and softened her expression. Her hands came to rest at her sides, but something about her posture was still guarded.
“You were running late. I got bored of waiting,” she said, glancing away from her roommate. Chloe let out her breath and nodded.
“Sorry about that, I had some questions about Professor Rodger’s midterm.” Red’s gaze met hers again, brows furrowed with curiosity this time instead of anger.
“We don’t start midterms for another three weeks,” her voice lifted with the indirect question. Chloe smiled at the way her head tilted to the side.
“I know, I just had an idea for my essay that I wanted to run by him.”
“Whatever little miss perfect,” Red rolled her eyes but there was no malice in it. “Can we go back to our room now?”
The bluenette laughed a little and followed her out of the practice room.

In a matter of days Phil Dunster will be treading the boards and playing to the rafters for a two night performance of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma!
His AFC Richmond pals can't wait.
Snippets of Phil during rehearsals and behind-the-scenes videos of he and Chloe Bennett (AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D) in New Mexico.
A few more TED LASSO cast tings
Missed birthday shout-outs:
Brendan Hunt used his birthday message to Hannah to remind people that her last name is "Waddingham", not "Waddington".
You would think people would get it by now.
Hannah had a 50th birthday bash, complete with a spectacular fireworks display (in the video you can spot Phil Dunster and Max Osinski front and centre).
Naturally, Phil wasn't going to ignore Brett's b-day.
Kola Bokinni recently had a birthday.
Stephen having that pretty privilege like Richard Montlaur where people help him out when he has car troubles.
TED LASSO Production Designer Paul Cripps saluted Kola Bokinni with a throwback pic of them at Brendan Hunt's birthday party; hence the striped pants.
Kola can be currently see on the celebrity edition of RACE AROUND THE WORLD. He's competing with his cousin Mary Ellen.
Surely if his very sporty sister Yinka wasn't expecting, she'd be competing with him.
-Went to a FARGO FYC Q&A with the delightful Juno Temple, Lamorne Morris and Noah Hawley.
Juno was wearing a sparkling, glittering ring on *that* finger. Who knows if it's an engagement ring, wedding ring or just an accessory.

Hi Yall,
Working on my long-forgotten AO3 fanfic of Chloe and Derek. Here's some art. You can find the story here: https://archiveofourown.org/works/49364617
Jump Start (10660 words) by Clad_in_Sparkling_Red Chapters: 5/? Fandom: Darkest Powers - Kelley Armstrong Rating: General Audiences Warnings: Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings Relationships: Chloe Saunders/Derek Souza Characters: Chloe Saunders, Derek Souza, Simon Bae, Victoria "Tori" Enright, Rachelle "Rae" Rodgers Additional Tags: Aged-Up Character(s) Summary: "Jump Start" follows a slow-burn romance between Chloe, a 25-year-old necromancer, and Derek, her friend’s brooding brother. When Simon and Derek move in with Chloe and Tori, sparks quickly fly. Their connection ignites when Chloe rescues Derek at his lowest, determined to help him face his inner demons and heal. As they navigate inner struggles and supernatural challenges together, their bond deepens, transforming their initial spark into a powerful and unbreakable relationship that changes both of their lives forever. Though this was written back in 2016 and is unfinished, the chapters will follow similar plots but will NOT be identical nor will it follow the same scenarios. Treat the stories as spin-offs of each other. Chazz Oliver and Janay Saxon presents: Do It Up
Super rapid flow 💵 ⌚
Chazz Oliver brings the fire with Do It Up feat. Myumi, Janay Saxon, and JU$T AM.
If you like Saweetie, Kahlani, Chloe Bailey, Wiz Kalifa, and Kendrick lamar, you will love Do It Up.
Hip Hop/Rap/R&B ready to give you that club vibe but also rock it in your car!!!!
Produced by Chazz Oliver, this track feat future fire artist.
Listen Do It Up 💵 ⌚ in Spotify:
BIO:
Washington DC native Garrett Chazz Oliver, a producer better known as Chazz Oliver or just Chazz O, began his musical foray at age six when his father purchased his first drum set. He later taught himself to play the piano, bass guitar, lead guitar and Sax. In his teens, Chazz was already composing music, experimenting with multi-track machines and other types of recording equipment. Before he graduated from high school in 1984, he found himself briefly working with R&B producer Kashif (Whitney Houston, Melba Moore, Evelyn “Champagne” King, Stacy Lattisaw and Johnny Kemp,).
As fortuitous as that opportunity was, in 1995 he came into contact with another Super Producer, Nile Rodgers (Chic, Sister Sledge, David Bowie, Madonna and B-52’s). Although it took a couple more encounters over the next year, Nile finally invited Chazz Oliver to Westport, CT, to work more closely with him on the 1996 Nile Rodgers album,”Chic Freak and More Treats.” From then onward, Chazz became an integral part of Nile's work as shown by his co-producing credits for several artists across the board, including All4One, Paula Abdul, Q-Tip, and Samantha Cole, just to name a few.
Despite being Nile Rodgers’ sideman, his efforts did not go unnoticed. As a result of his exceptional success as a producer and his great ear for talent, Chazz moved from behind the keyboard to behind the desk. That would be the executive desk. In 1999 Chazz was appointed VP of Music Programming for AEI Music networks, in Seattle, WA. While at AEI, Chazz was able to help break new songs like Morcheeba's "Part Of The Process" and Lenny Kravitz's "Fly Away," which both debuted in the Gap; Sarah Brightman's "Eden," which played in Banana Republic; the Cardigans' "Erase/ Rewind," also in Banana Republic; and Sixpence None The Richer's "Kiss Me," which played in Limited Too and Bath & Body Works.
After spending many years as a Music Executive, Chazz Oliver decided to combine the executive and creative side of things. In 2007, he established his own Music Production Company, ISMRecordings, based out of Norwalk CT, and began unveiling his own stable of artists (Mr. LA Wryte, Mateya and Taj Dyami). As a way to give back to his music community, Chazz as lent his talents to produce music for regional artists such as Omar Wilson, Rain E. Day and Zen. Chazz Oliver has been featured in Magazine such as Billboard Magazine, BRE Magazine, Starpoynt Magazine and Latin Star Magazine, just to name a few.
Super Producer, Hit Maker, these are some of the things that come to mind when you hear production from Chazz Oliver. From movie scores to radio ready hits, Chazz is ready for any and every musical endeavor. In 2022 Chazz decided to drop some new music for the clubs. The track titled “Love” features signer Taj Dyami and is already streaming like crazy. To keep the momentum going, Chazz also dropped the track tilted “Set Me Free” in December of 2022.
Few producers are capable of having a balance between artist and craft. Chazz is one of those producers. He always infuses a remarkable sense of individuality and creativity into his productions. Most recently Chazz just finished a project with the talented Amanda Marie, from the UK, for the song “Feelin’ Fine”. He is also about to drop the single “Forever” with R&B singer Taj Dyami.
Chazz has stayed in high demand and worked on projects with artists like Rappers Ju$t AM, Zen, Lou Big’z, pop artist Jackie Legere, Nigerian artist Lamboginny and R&B singer Lamone, When you hear a Chazz Oliver production generally there is no mistaking it for anyone else's work. Chazz Oliver and ISMRecordings are poised to bring you............. “The Sound Of Things To Come”!

Resolving the Descendents 4 Cinderella Dillema
Because we clearly see a blonde Cinderella in the background of D1 so while it is possible for Chad to be the biological son of rodgers and hammerstein's Cinderella (due to the genetics of this movie being bananas) that is unlikely. I also don't see any version of Cinderella abandoning their kid (except perhaps Giambattista Basile's La Gatta Cenerentola) so unless blonde Cinderella died (wich she didn't) then he is not adopted.
My solution to this problem is simple.
There are 2 cinderella's :
Ella Madden James is Chad's mom and the ruler of Cinderelasburg/Sardinia. Her fairy godmother is Fay Femarrine who used her namegic to make herself a daughter named Jane.
And
Ella Norwood Hammerstein who is Chloe's mom and has a fairy Godmother named Nadine Fei who used her magic to create a son named Asa, shortly before deciding to become a full time singer, forever retiring from the Fairy Godmother duties. She became internationally famous and for a while things were good, untill she was killed by a hater prior to D1.
Ella N met Ella M while on a tour trough Sardinia and they bonded rather quickly (for obvious reasons). at the time, Ella M was pregnant with Chad and years later, when Ella N told Ella M about Chloe, they decided to raise their kids together, wich was possible cause their kingdoms are relatively close. Naturally, Chad & Chloe grew up viewing each other as siblings (like Kenai and Koda).
Fay Femarrine ended up becoming the Fairy Godmother of both Cinderellas and their kids fter Nadine's retirement.

I thought The Idol couldn’t sink any lower – then I saw the ending
A gross twist and a false rape accusation sees The Weeknd and Sam Levinson’s empty psychodrama plumb new depths
July 3, 2023 1:45 pm(Updated 6:44 pm)
After clashing with her team over her album's first single, Jocelyn pushes herself to the limit on the set of her new music video, while Nikki sees potential in backup dancer Dyanne; Tedros introduces Jocelyn and Leia to Izaak and Chloe.
Lily-Rose Depp as Jocelyn (Photo: HBO)
You don’t have to have seen a second of The Idol to understand its vibe. Grainy images from the drama – created by the man behind Euphoria, Sam Levinson, and Abel Tesfaye, better known as popstar The Weeknd – show Lily-Rose Depp as singer Jocelyn, always scantily clad, either hanging off the arm of her Svengali, Tedros (Tesfaye, whose performance is legions below sub-par) or looking longingly, despondently, dead-eyed into the middle distance. LA sunshine, sprawling mansions, sex, grit, bodies (but only women’s bodies). You get the gist.
After five episodes, The Idol has proved itself to have little substance beyond those murky aesthetics. Between horrendously cringe sex scenes, endless dance numbers designed to show off Jocelyn’s writhing limbs and bickering between her management and record label execs (the drama’s saving grace, if it has one, along with Depp’s brilliant performance), we’ve watched Tedros manipulate Jocelyn and his troupe of wannabes for power and sex. He is the show’s villain with not one redeeming quality.
But the last in the series is, shockingly, asking us to feel sorry for Tedros. The man who beat Jocelyn with the hairbrush – her mum used to hit her with – during a bondage session, the man who was revealed to have multiple domestic violence charges against him, the man who tortured Jocelyn’s creative director with an electric dog collar. How do the “sick and twisted minds” (as advertised by the drama’s promo material) of Sam Levinson and Abel Tesfaye turn Tedros into – in Levinson’s own words – “the victim”? By making Jocelyn the bad guy, of course.
While fighting for the upper hand in her relationship with Tedros, Jocelyn becomes determined to introduce her new persona to the world; Jocelyn's team discusses her increasing involvement with Tedros and his inner circle.
Abel Tesfaye as Tedros and Lily-Rose Depp as Jocelyn (Photo: HBO)
A twist reveals (or rather, suggests – telling a succinct story isn’t one of The Idol’s strong points) that Jocelyn has been aware of Tedros’s machinations this whole time, using him to further her career. Pissed off after finding out that their entire relationship was engineered with the help of her backup dancer Dyanne (Blackpink’s Jennie Kim) and now that she’s got what she wants from him – a new sound, new supporting acts, her tour secured – she can discard him: “You’ve served your purpose,” she cuts. “I’m done with you.”
Jocelyn’s transformation from a sympathetic, preyed upon young woman to a scheming, calculating bitch is misogyny 101. Rejection, or even mere disinterest, is kryptonite to sexist men who, like Tedros, believe their power over women is both a God-given right and beyond reproach. It’s the main thread of thinking behind the incel subculture, a group of men who are “involuntary celibate” and blame women for their lack of intimate relationships. The mass murders carried out by some incels – including Elliot Rodger, who killed six people and injured 14 others in California in 2014 – have been incited, the killers said, by being rejected by women. It’s a dangerous, harmful ideology to use as a plot point in a TV show driven by chauvinistic values.
As is the inclusion of a false rape allegation against Jocelyn’s ex-boyfriend, Rob (Karl Glusman), arranged by Tedros to get him out of her life. Fake accusations do of course happen, but they are entirely less common than the media would have us believe: only 3 to 4 per cent of rape allegations in the UK are thought to be entirely fabricated. Add it to the gross list of anti-women, misogynistic sentiment The Idol has pedalled for the past five weeks.

While Tedros was banished from Jocelyn’s life, Vanity Fair journalist Talia (Hari Nef) published an article about him, detailing his sordid past and creepy cult leading him to lose his nightclub. Again, we’re supposed to feel sorry for the bloke, who has been tricked by a woman who played him at his own game, but – like most stories of “cancel culture” – all I can see is a man having to deal with the consequences of his own actions. If you ask me, he’s got off lightly.
Still, Tedros turns up to the stadium where Jocelyn will open her new tour. Midway through the performance (shot at LA’s SoFi stadium, using The Weeknd’s real fans at one of his shows), Jocelyn brings him out on stage, snogging him for all to see before whispering in his ear: “You’re mine forever. Now, go stand over there.” Does it make sense? Not at all! Does it make Jocelyn look just as bad as Tedros and, he, in return, the victim? You bet.
This final episode tells us everything we need to know about how The Idol sees women: manipulative and scheming, but also malleable and objects of desire. It’s a grossly oversimplified version of abuse, a vague plot point and excuse to see Lily-Rose Depp on her knees as opposed to an all-too-familiar feature of fame that deserves a needling.
There’s been no word on whether HBO has decided to renew the series, but this confusing, stupid ending certainly leaves the door open for Jocelyn and Tedros’s messy games to continue. It would be to the benefit of everyone – especially The Weeknd, whose reputation is hanging on by a thread – if this cycle of abuse came to an end.

"I mean the police did willingly work with Rodger cop that one time after he forced the mayor to transfer power to him
I mean yeah but that's the cops.
____________
Also I consider that bullshit too and ignore it."
I justify it in literally easiest way possible. Among his "equipment", Rogercop had "mind control handcuffs" (that he used on Chloe her father during climax, and earlier on Ms Mendeliev). I just headcanon that he used them on all these policemen offscreen.
I mean none of theem are wearing the handcuffs. But also let's jjust roll with it

Inconsistent Characterization Comp.
Judging Criteria
This was copied from the submission/judging rules (that's why the numbers are bad)
0. Standard tournament rules: be polite, et cetera.
1. Inconsistent characterization must be present past the first part- no Early Installment Weirdness.
4. Liberty is reserved to add more rules
5. Inconsistency must be in canon, not fandom misinterpreting. That's a separate thing.
6. Character development is not inconsistency.
7. Do not do a Squimbus v. Pikachu; don't vote for one character that doesn't really fit it over a character you don't know.

‘PHANTOM KNIGHTS’ CANONS.
as promised, below the cut we have some of our premade characters. ready for reserve when you are!
[Xion “X” Price] — Xion grew up in the rough streets of Chicago, where survival often depended on outsmarting everyone around him. His father, a mechanic, taught him how to build and repair motorcycles, creating his fascination. After his father was killed in a robbery gone wrong, Xion moved to Florida with his aunt, carrying both the pain of his loss and the skills to make a name for himself. Initially, X tried to stay out of the criminal world, he found himself climbing the ranks of the Phantom Knights after joining them as a teenager. When the gang’s previous leader was arrested during a federal raid, X stepped up, uniting the gang under a new code of discipline and loyalty. Under his leadership, the Phantom Knights expanded their influence, becoming a powerhouse in illegal street racing, drug distribution, and arms dealing. Xion introduced a strict chain of command, keeping the gang efficient and untouchable. [recommended (but not limited to) faceclaims include Joey Badass, Skepta, & Kofi Siriboe.]
[Kyomi “Blade” Nakamura] — grew up in Houston, the daughter of Japanese-American immigrant father and an African American mother. After leaving home at 17 due to a strained relationship with her abusive parents, she found herself in the underground racing and biker scene. Her sharp personality and skill with weapons earned her the nickname “Blade,”. Kyomi crossed paths with X when a rival gang tried to ambush her during a deal. X intervened, saving her life, and she pledged her loyalty to the Phantom Knights. Since then, she’s been a fierce enforcer, handling weapons deals and acting as muscle during high-stakes situations. Fearless, unfiltered, and fiercely loyal to X and the Knights. While Kyomi has a wild, reckless streak, she has a strong sense of family within the gang and will do whatever it takes to protect them. [recommended (but not limited to) faceclaims include Saweetie, Eyes Rodgers & Qui Yasuka.]
[Mirae “Apple” Baptiste] — Mirae, better known as “Apple,” grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, where her knack for technology made her a standout from a young age. Raised by her single mother, a systems analyst, Mirae was exposed to the world of coding and cybersecurity early on. By the time she was 12, she could dismantle and rebuild computers, and by 16, she was hacking into school servers—mostly to help friends but also to prove she could. After being expelled from high school for breaching a local bank’s security as a prank, Mirae found herself drawn into the underground tech world, where she began selling her skills to the highest bidder. Her reputation for being able to hack anything made her a target for both law enforcement and criminals alike. It was X who offered her protection and a chance to use her talents for a cause bigger than herself. Now, Mirae is the Phantom Knights’ tech mastermind. She handles everything from disabling security systems during heists to tracking rival gangs and laundering digital currency. When the Knights need to move in silence, Apple ensures they’re invisible. [recommended (but not limited to) faceclaims include Giovanna Ramos, Brooklyn Nikole & Chloe Bailey.]
