[Satan x Reader][fluff]

It was a peaceful afternoon in the house of Lamentation, it was a dreary day. It was rainy, chilling the normal piping hot heat.
The steam was lifting off the Devildom pavement creating a misty atmosphere, fitting as they we’re literately in the underworld.
The pattering on the window was pleasant to Satan as he sat on his bed reading one of his many books, todays title “Celtic Mythology: Into The Unknown.” He sighed, resting his eyes to look up at the dark cloudy sky.
To be honest he loved days like this, the rain was somewhat charming. Not acid rain, but normal human realm rain.
It didn’t burn to the touch nor did it leave scotched marks on the ground. The sky is full of mysteries untold, that even he didn’t know about—the true philosopher stone. Sure the sky couldn’t turn base metals into precious ones, but it was equally as mystical.
The house was very calm that day, with no chaos in sight. It was unusual for his brothers to not cause disturbances throughout the household but not rare.
You see, his youngest brother was mostly likely sleeping, Beel was probably in the kitchen once again, Asmodeus was in his room doing Diavolo knows what, that otaku was cooped up in his room and for Mammon, Satan could care less, and his dear older brother, Lucifer, was probably drowning himself in work. He deserves it.
But the blonde then thought, “what about MC?” He looked to his door, half expecting MC to waltz into his room but he knew they were to polite for that.
Every since he snapped at them they’ve been more cautious around him, sure other the months they learned a lot about each other but still. Satan knew they were still on edge.
He missed them, as much as he hated to admit it. They were so alluringly him. MC was smart, kind, and had an sort of spice to them that you’d never know what was coming next. Unpredictable, but than again, quite ditzy. He craved their presence. Their soul is so pure. Not an evil bone in their body and no brimstone tainted skin in sight.
Satan sighed, not wanting to disturb even a mouse, he closed his book once slipping a bookmark within it’s pages. Placing the leather bounded book on his bed, he made it to the floor and tugged on his normal blazer. He slips back on his shoes, grabs his D.D.D, and starts to head out. At the door, he finds the need to turn around and once he does, the shadow of a wet cat walks past his closed window. Alluring but mysterious…the creature was quite like MC themselves if Satan thought hard enough.
As he turned down his lanterns and turned off his lights, he walks through the hallway in search for the human.
Alluring can be shortened to Allure, and an acronym for Allure can be anywhere between Captivation to Enchantment to more scientific words such as Fascination and Intrigued. All the more words to describe MC. Mysterious, they were too. Always hiding secrets of their past, Satan nor any of his brothers being able to truly understand the highly guarded MC enough. She was an enigma; the definition being: a person or thing that is mysterious or difficult to understand.
At times they cried, wailing hopelessly on the shoulder of somebodies but not his own, then to gasping for air as they laugh as hard as their gut could manage. ‘The human behaviour is interesting,’ he thought as he walked through the halls. Just as he gazed over at the window to the pattering water he spotted something odd. A hunched over figure in rain coat, the sky spat down on them. It was odd—the figure, that is. The figure didn’t seem dangerous nor unnerving, just…odd.
“I guess…I shall check anyways…”
Satan went to the closet exit, and gazed out onto the dreary misty back yard of the mansion. The figure was still crouched over, it’s arms seemed to be moving though and (H/L) (H/C) hair seemed to be peeking from the sides of the hood.
Satan slowly approached the figure while putting his blazer above his head to act as a shield from the thick wet forest. “Hello?” He spoke, a pace away from the figure. He then herd a familiar ‘meow’ of a cat. As the figure turns around, the wet black cat from earlier daintily made their way to Satan. The figure was MC.
“Satan?” MC looked up at him with deep (E/C) eyes. Before she could speak again, Satan stood behind them, shielding them from the rain… “It’s you…what are you going here?” They asked.
“I could ask you the same thing, MC.” Satan smiled a bit but MC seemingly didn’t get the hit since they started scrambling through their head.
“I-I was just—I saw him—I MEAN the CAT all wet and—um, I couldn’t just let him stay out in the r-rain s-so—“
“So lets get inside. The both of you.” Satan smiled wider with tender eyes. MC, this time, got the message.
“Okay,” They said with a genuine smile and soft eyes. With their hands, they picked up the cat and cradled him softly in him in their arms. MC stood up and looked to their side to see Satan holding his blazer overtop their heads.
“Lets get him dried up, and…” Satan came even closer to MC and looked at them intently. MC could feel their heart racing as the sweet smell of parchment and a mix of cologne wafted into their personal space. “You as well. You seem cold so…let me over you some tea.” He said. As he spoke, his breath could be seen in the cold air. “It’s raining quite hard so…we should make haste.”
MC blinked their eyes, quickly drifting back to reality. “O-oh—um, yeah. We should get in.” They adjusted the cat in her arms, pulling the feline closer to their chest. MC then looks up at Satan, feeling their close proximity as his chest meets their back.
“Cute…” Satan starts.
“Hm—wha—” MC blushed a thousand yards deep pink. Satan then gestures to the cat with his eyebrows. His face still neutral and his lips thin like paper.
“The cat. He’s very cute…He’d be quite the addition to our house but I think between you and I, we can take care of him quite well. Don’t you think?” he asked with a slight smile as MC gains back their composure.
“Yes—the cat. I think so as well. Lets keep him.”

25 Essential Black-Metal Albums
From Venom and Bathory to Behemoth and Deafheaven
From its origins in England, Sweden, and Switzerland to its murderous Norwegian prime and its U.S. resurgence, black-metal has proven harder to extinguish than a fire consuming a church. And while sensational violence and a flirtation with the occult have often threatened to eclipse the genre's artistic merits, it is ultimately the music that has given this dark practice its longevity. Here, Revolver picks 25 albums that define the malefic movement.
(Black Mark, 1984) This cult Swedish studio band took the lo-fi shittiness of Venom and added icy Norse paganism to the garbled mix. Written and coproduced by vocalist-guitarist Quorthon (who died in 2004), Bathory's homonymous debut also features drummer Jonas Åkerlund, who went on to direct videos for both Madonna and U2 (plus the 2002 crystal meth flick Spun), not to mention the forthcoming controversial Lords of Chaos movie.
(Noise, 1984) Before vocalist-guitarist Tom G. Warrior formed Celtic Frost with bassist Martin Ain, he was the leader of another Swiss metal trio called Hellhammer. Though the band existed for less than two years, the harsh cacophony of the Apocalyptic Raids demo perfectly expressed black metal's caustic furor.
(Peaceville, 1991) This Norwegian duo's second album marks drummer-lyricist Fenriz and vocalist-guitarist Nocturno Culto's defection from the traditional death-metal territory of Soulside Journey to the chilling realm of "unholy black metal."
(Misanthropy, 1992) The debut by Burzum, the one-man studio project of J.R.R. Tolkien aficionado Varg Vikernes (a.k.a. Count Grishnackh), was originally released on Mayhem guitarist Euronymous' Deathlike Silence Productions. Remarkable for its militaristic severity and creepy synth ambience, Burzum remains one of black metal's earliest masterpieces.
(Century Black, 1993) Also originally released on Deathlike Silence, De Mysteriis was Mayhem's scorching full-length follow-up to the seminal Deathcrush mini-LP. The album features longtime drummer Hellhammer, current vocalist Attila Csihar (ex-Tormentor, ex-Aborym), and Burzum's Varg Vikernes (on session bass), who would stab guitarist Euronymous to death shortly after the album's release.
(Cacophonous, 1994) Back when vocalist Dani Filth was still known as Daniel Davey, British goth ghouls Cradle of Filth unveiled their full-length debut — complete with elaborate keyboard intros, female backing vocals, and naked vampire chicks. Taking said formula to its baroque breaking point over following releases, CoF rose to be possibly the most well-known band in black metal (if you considered them "black metal" at all), not to mention a onetime personal favorite of Bam Margera.
(Candlelight, 1995) Emperor's full-length debut — and final recording with drummer/convicted murderer Bård "Faust" Eithun, In the Nightside Eclipsemarked the beginning of symphonic black metal, a style later spit-polished and propelled into the mainstream by Cradle of Filth and Dimmu Borgir.
(Nuclear Blast, 1995) Led by guitarist-vocalist Jon Nödtveidt, Gothenburg's Dissection blurred the line between black metal and the melodic death metal their Swedish city made famous. The band's second album was their last (and finest) riff blizzard before Nödtveidt was imprisoned for murder.
(Nuclear Blast, 1996) Long before they dragged their chain-mail-encased tits onto Ozzfest's main stage, Dimmu Borgir announced made their symphonic bid to dominate Norwegian underground with Stormblåst. The native-tongued LP was rerecorded in 2005, only increasing its original frostbitten grimness.
(Osmose, 1996) Although they have suffered chronic touring setbacks due to vocalist-guitarist Morgan Håkansson's felonious history (which allegedly includes assaulting a police officer and grave robbery), black-metal berserkers Marduk know how to throw down in the studio. On Heaven Shall Burn, the Swedes unleash a blast of unapologetic blasphemy captured devilishly by producer (and Hypocrisy main man) Peter Tägtgren.
(Century Media, 1997) Although the band would take a severe turn into proggy histrionics (see 2005's Blood Inside), Ulver's third full-length — a savagely shrill concept album about werewolves (subtitle: Eight Hymns to the Wolf in Man) that was supposedly recorded outdoors in an ancient Norwegian forest — could turn any mere man into a murderous beast
(Nuclear Blast, 1998) Four years in the making, Gorgoroth's fourth effort borrows the title of Kiss' 1976 album, boasts four different vocalists (sensing a pattern here?) — including their particularly notorious former frontman, Gaahl — and features guest drumming from Satyricon's Frost. Unrelenting from front to back, Destroyer closes with a cover of Darkthrone's "Slottet I Det Fjerne."
(Nuclear Blast, 1999) Widely discounted by apparently deaf journalists as some sort of goth/industrial crossover release, Rebel Extravaganza sounds more like a black-metal version of Voivod than anything else. Satyricon's fourth album is not just another underappreciated sonic blitzkrieg, it's actually Phil Anselmo-approved: Pantera tapped the band to open their 2000 European tour.
(tUMULt, 2000) In 2000, Weakling created a world all their own with Dead as Dreams, following in the footsteps of early Emperor, Ulver and Burzum to create moving, beautiful black metal that crossed over into ambient and post-rock. Hands down one of the most important USBM (U.S. black metal) LPs of all time, highly influential to the likes of Wolves in the Throne Room and Deafheaven, the group's lone full-length is also a crucial release for black metal at large.
(Century Media, 2001) On their fifth album, this Japanese trio (now a quartet) shed their corpse paint but not their insatiable appetite for increasingly progressive black-metal. Imaginary Sonicscape revels in the pleasures of magic mushrooms, evil moog keyboards, and dizzying arrangements; plus, the lyrics to "Nietzschean Conspiracy" were written by then-imprisoned Emperor drummer Faust.
(Nuclear Blast, 2002) Since reissued with a bonus live DVD, the seventh album from Norwegian power triad Immortal is practically unstoppable. Produced by Peter Tägtgren, Sons of Northern Darkness combines fierce riffery with a Maiden-esque sense of epic dynamism. (Fun fact: One of the band's promotional photos for this release mistakenly caught guitarist-vocalist Abbath with his fly down.)
(Moribund, 2004) The one-man plague of professional tattoo artist Jef Whitehead (a.k.a. Wrest), Leviathan are the vanguard of the American isolationist black-metal phenomenon. Whitehead's second full-length under the Leviathan moniker, Tentacles is a vicious display of lo-fi pyrokinesis that takes its cues from the Burzum back catalog.
(Moribund, 2004) Another one-man outfit, L.A.'s Xasthur is the brainchild of Scott Conner, a.k.a. Malefic, also known for his live guest "vo-kills" with sub-harmonic drone overlords Sunn O))). The bleak psychedelic hellscapes that bleed black through each of his many LPs, EPs, and splits are at their most unsettling on this, Xasthur's fourth full-length.
(Ajna Offensive, 2005) Little is known about this reclusive French posse; the band refuses almost all interview requests. But Kénôse is one of the most powerful, ideologically intriguing black-metal releases in the history of forever. Ominous and brooding, the hypnotic fury of the album's three epic tracks is matched only by its enigmatic artwork.
(Candlelight, 2005) Along with Darkthrone, the reunited Emperor, Varg Vikernes and the surviving members of Mayhem, Enslaved are the last of Norway's living black-metal O.G.s. Their Grammy-winning eighth album is a rousing Viking feast that makes you wanna burn and pillage all the way to Valhalla — and proof that these originators are still well ahead of most of the pack.
(Total Holocaust, 2005) Much like Varg Vikernes did through Burzum's experimentation with keyboards, Leviathan's Jef Whitehead (re)established black metal as not just a sound, but a feeling and approach, with his project Lurker of Chalice and its sole, self-titled offering. Wildly inventive, employing everything from electronic samples to wind chimes and chorus vocals, the album proves that all the chilling darkness of the subgenre can be conjured without a lo-fi tremolo riff.
(Season of Mist, 2007) Despite their infamous penchant for literal mid-set bloodbaths, the Swedish pyromaniacs Watain have always been a band defined by sharp songcraft, not just provocative showmanship. Case in point: Sworn to the Dark, which saw the Satanic firebrands culling from thrash, hard rock, prog and dark ambient to deliver one of the most stylistically diverse black-metal albums of the 2000s.
(Metal Blade, 2013) While their music arguably leans more death metal, these Polish blasphemers' explicitly Satanic philosophical stance and corpse-paint-and-hellfire onstage presentation clearly place them within the black-metal movement. Behemoth's comeback album after frontman Nergal's near-fatal battle with Leukemia, The Satanist stands as a majestic and vital (re)statement of intent.
(Deathwish, 2013) Deafheaven's sophomore LP Sunbatherrepresented a true paradigm shift in black metal both in its aesthetics and attitudes, from its pink album cover to its sunny riffage. Indeed, the first notes of "Dream House" evoke something not often heard in the genre: a feeling of optimism. Sunbather leaned on the creativity of bands past, but took it next level, embracing elements of shoegaze, post-rock and screamo in the way that hadn't been done before. But its greatest innovation may be the way the album rides on the belief that black metal doesn't have to be antisocial in spirit; indeed, it can come with open arms.

Games Workshop didn’t do a funny by putting the Alpha Legion* in at number 20, so instead, we present: the Emperor’s Spears!
Sometimes a chapter’s job is a bit shit. In this case, the Emperor’s Spears were founded to be one of a few chapters guarding a nebula called Elara’s Veil. No crusading for these lads. Maybe that’s why they have anger issues; one of the only notable events in their history is that they got into an outright war with another Space Marine chapter. Since both of them were Ultramarine successors, the Ultramarines sent an envoy to tell them to chill out, officially blaming the Spears for starting shit. They’ve had to work on getting less surly to avoid getting wrecked by later events.
The Spears’ homeworld of Nemeton is an oceanic world, and the Spears carry that naval tradition into space. They field an unusually large fleet, and specialize in rapid deployment from space. In other words, they’re skilled at being marines in the classic sense of ‘amphibious warfare specialists’, if you think of space as a really big ocean.
The chapter’s culture seems to have a pre-Roman Briton vibe to it. Their chapter master is called the High King (a title used by the old kings of Ireland), and their leaders are referred to as Druids. The chapter maintains layers of mystery cults and esoteric rituals, reinforcing that druidic vibe.
When the galaxy cracked in half, Elara’s Veil was right near the crack. This has led to a predictably bad time for the Emperor’s Spears, as the worlds under their protection get swarmed by daemons and Chaos Space Marines. Will they survive? Who knows! (Probably; they have a novel about them now, which bodes well for their place in the ongoing lore.)
All in all, a pretty normal chapter. I like their colors, and the Celtic theming is neat.
*What’s an Alpha Legion, and why would they be in the box of loyalists?
This seems like a good time to do a quick overview of all the traitor legions, since we’ve finished covering the loyalists. So, here are the legions that followed Horus into treason:
-III Legion Emperor’s Children, led by Fulgrim, purple and gold; steadfast perfectionists and duelists, the Children fell into the indulgent embrace of Slaanesh, becoming a bunch of murder-horny weirdos. Notable for pioneering the ‘Noise Marines’, using high-powered sonic weaponry.
-IV Legion Iron Warriors, led by Perturabo, steel and hazard stripes; grim siege-breakers known for throwing themselves into long grinding bloody wars, the Iron Warriors were led astray by their petulant man-child of a leader, who turned against the Emperor out of spite. They’re the premier weaponsmiths of the traitor legions.
-VIII Legion Night Lords, led by Conrad Kurze, dark blue with lightning bolts; stealthy terror troopers, who like doing things like “flaying enemies alive and adorning their armor with the skins”. They were on the edge of being declared rogue for being a bunch of violent sickos before the Heresy, so it only seemed natural to roll with Horus.
-XII Legion World Eaters, led by Angron, white and blue (turning red with spattered blood); the most vicious berserkers of the Space Marines, driven to greater violence by their traumatized gladiator of a Primarch. They practically waltzed into worshipping the murder-god Khorne, having already stucky Murder-Horny implants in their skulls.
-XIV Legion Death Guard, led by Mortarion, bone white and green; some of the toughest Marines, stolid death-bringers specializing in chemical warfare. Mortarion hated the Emperor for being a kill-stealing bastard, so he was an easy sell; he wound up embracing the Plague-Father Nurgle in order to save his legion from a super-pox while they were stuck in the Warp.
-XV Legion Thousand Sons, led by Magnus the Red, red and gold (turned blue and gold); an entire legion of mystic psykers, they got fucked up just before the Heresy when Horus manipulated the Space Wolves into trying to kill all of them. The legion had a problem called the ‘Flesh Change’, where members would turn into horrible meat-monsters; they made a deal with the magic-god Tzeentch to try to fix it, which turned most of the legion into haunted armor automatons. Whoops.
-XVI Legion Sons of Horus, led by Horus, seafoam green and gold; Horus’ own legions, brutal gang fighters who specialized in decapitation strikes against enemy leadership. Formerly the Luna Wolves (white and black armor). After Horus beefed it, they became the core of the Black Legion, the largest and most powerful warband of Chaos Space Marines.
-XVII Legion Word Bearers, led by Lorgar, stone grey (turning to dark maroon); once the most devout followers of the Emperor as a god, they got chastised, and desperately seeking any god who would take them, became the leading evangelists for Chaos. It’s all their fault, really. Get really excited about working with daemons.
-XX Legion Alpha Legion, led by Alpharius and Omegon, shiny teal; the sneakiest of Space Marines, specializing in infiltration, spy stuff, and truly kooky levels of secret-keeping--including the fact that they had two Primarchs, somehow. A bunch of aliens told them “the best thing for the galaxy in the long run is for you to join Horus and help humans go extinct, because that will starve Chaos forever,” and for some reason, the Alpha Legion believed them. The reason they might sneakily have been in the box is because large parts of the Alpha Legion work against other Chaos Marines, leading to speculation that they’re actually secret loyalists. Of course, given how sneaky they are, it’s possible that this Emperor’s Spears guy is actually an Alpha Legionnaire in disguise. Layers within layers.

—Rhyanon does, of course become involved with both Luke and Thrawn in a complicated game of illicit love-affairs-illicit bio hacking-cloning-super soldier chimaerasizing-awakening Dark Matter entities and nefarious uses of archeogenomes-space-vampires (the Telchines-Coroniad of the Keltiad, inspired by the Coroniad race of the Mabonigion…)-space vampire fathers and aunts (a little Circe and Medea dynamic…it’s s messed up family dynamic for Rhyanon-)-space vampires exploiting other alien species into bio harvesting servitude (my Ka’ali as a the Terran quadrant origins of the Noghri)-Thrawn is a colonialist authoritarian ass-as are the ChissAscendency-Thrawn-who’s basically my version of Rommel meets Napoleon meets Thomas Jefferson-meets Theoderic the Great-meets Julius Caesar—and Tywin Lannister with Spock-aded to swirl of Bronte-esque Heathcliff and Rochester tragic hero complex-breaks the Galaxy in half by collapsing the Wormhole-sacrifices Csilla-and is willing to bring Artor Imperator’s dead ship back from the Maw/The Dead Zone/Sterike Regions of space to recover the 2nd Starflash weapon lost 1000 years before with the Great Cataclysm-develops a complicated BroMance with Luke-(who’s my version of Luke combined with Peter Quill in Luke Skywalker’s original concept as Starkiller…check it out—his original concept Art before A New Hope even looks like Quill’s StarLord…)-snd a threesome with Rhyanon—who really just wants to go home to Caledonia Secunda-and open a clinic for new world emigres and fly her space-capable pegasuses with her Lady love…lol-yes, that Karaoke scene at the renamed Mos Vespa cantina (princess Vespa as a resurrected Arhinda Pryce combined with Space Balls Princess Vespa) set in a revised ‘Tatooine Ghost’ meets ‘SideTrip’ events as Thrawn-disguised as a Mandalorian/JodoKast-gets inveigled into singing ‘Piano Man with Rhyanon’-in order to defuse a potential tavern brawl-whilst Rhyanon-who’s done up treating idiot criminal under lords inhabiting Fett’s most violent parish where no outreach medical staff with any training dare serve…except Rhyanon-who Luke is after-and Thrawn is after-for their own purposes of saving the Galaxy-with tracking Killick Twilight-on a night Rhyanon just wants to chill with a drink amid the newly imported Terran pastime of Karaoke-at the seedy dive bar-in a scene that turns into Pirates of the Caribbean2-tavern brawl-Thrawn/of course-enacting the role of Jack Sparrow navigating his elegant exit (disguised as a Mandalorian still)-while all chaos spews around him-and WAIT-Firefly’s Operative-named Judah-I believe arrives at some point as well-having traced Rhyanon across the Wormhole sent by River Tam and Mal Reynolds-into a street chase scene through MosVespa (formerly MosEisley)-that culminates with Kalinda on Fett’s pet-rancor (she is Dathomiri by origin)-reprimanding all the misbehaving children-and saving her lady-love who-in a Mexican draw-involving the Operative/Judah-suddenly hears the Operative speak in her native tongue-Pretanic(neo-Brythonic-a combo of Welsh and Gaelic rewound to its Celtic-Gaulic lsnguage roots…but evolved into a future linguistic smash-burger)—later revelations that Thrawn discovers of the Operative/Judah having slain JorgCardas-who crossed the Wormhole as Shepherd Book-and gets a little irritated-as Thrawn wields the Dark Saber in this get-up-here we have the Operative facing off with Thrawn—Katana vs DarkSaber…it’s a honorable death for someone-and the inspiration for River Tam’s “2 by 2, hands of Blue…”

"Sam? Sam?"
The voice became bolder, more insistent.
Eventually, Sam realized the person saying his name was Jack.
"Yeah," he croaked. ""m here."
"Open your eyes." Jack sounded like he was both far away and very near. Young. Still so young, despite all his powers. "Please, Sam? You gotta wake up. I need your help, please."
He patted Sam's arm rapidly. Sam thought about responding, and decided, no, the relative quiet was nice, such a pleasant change of pace from the last twelve hours. No cannons. No swords clanging. No-one drunkenly singing about hoisting anchors or romancing whores. Why not just keep lying here, wherever here was, unmoving and unspeaking? Just chilling. Bliss.
"Sam, you have to wake up and help me get him back," Jack begged. "Sam. Cas is still on the ship."
At that, Sam sat bolt upright on the floor, the walls of the bunker wobbling around him until his inner ears recalibrated for his being back on land and alive in the 21st century.
"Shit," he said, looking at Jack with horror.
"Shit," Jack said, despite the relief on his face and the tricorn on his head. He grabbed up a nearby agate bowl and a knife Sam recognized as Dean's. "We've got three minutes."
Sam held out his hand, and Jack sliced open the palm. Sam winced, squeezed, and let the blood sluice over the bowl's ingredients: dried sage, iron coffin nails, raven bones, dirt from an unmarked grave, two or three other things of more obscure origins. He scrabbled around in his pocket with his other hand and fumbled out the last piece of the spell.
The coin nearly rolled away, though its path would've zigzagged due to its uneven edge. Jack slapped it down and picked it up.
The Spanish cross embossed on one side winked in the light as the coin fell into the bowl. Jack reeled off a spiel of Latin cut with something vaguely Celtic -- phrases borrowed from Rowena -- threw in a splash of holy water, and did something that made his eyes glitter as gold as the coin for a moment.
Red smoke billowed from the bowl. Sam grabbed Jack and pulled them both behind the nearest file cabinet. A few more spits of sparks and a sizzling, cracking noise originated above the bowl as the air seemed to bubble like peroxide in a wound.
A blinding flash. Jack hiccuped and Sam swore.
Finally, the silence returned and the smoke dissipated.
Sam peeked around the corner of the cabinet. "Oh, thank god."
He reached Cas on the floor at the exact moment Dean appeared in the doorway.
"Hey, what's with the thunder back here-- Holy shit what are you wearing," Dean said, his overnight bag thudding down by his feet.
"Clothes I stole from a dead soldier," Cas said, in his grouchiest tone. "Wet ones."
Sam helped Cas stand with a hand on his honestly sort of slimy shoulder. He hoped it was someone else's blood he'd just touched; the blousy shirt Cas had on seemed intact and Cas seemed cold and seasick but not exactly pained.
"Hi, Dean," Jack said, like nothing much was up. "How's Mary?"
"She's fine," Dean said, storming into the room towards Cas and catching him up in a hug. "What the hell?"
"It's a long story," Sam started, while simultaneously Jack said, "We opened a treasure chest, only it turned out to be cursed!" and Cas said, in an I Am Being Crushed voice, "A man with a peg-leg made me swab the deck."
Dean let him go to look at Sam, then Jack, and then Cas again. "Let me rephrase my earlier statement. What the fuck?"
Jack nodded. "See? He sounds just like Flint when he's mad-slash-scared."
"Ohhh," Sam and Cas said in unison, though frankly it had always been enough for Sam that Dean had sounded like their dad when upset. He didn't need to add comparisons to pirate captains to the mix.
"Dean," Cas said, obviously spotting a rant about to happen, "we'll explain everything as soon as we've taken baths."
Several minutes later, Jack was sweeping up a reside of ash and gold dust and putting it into the cursed (and soon to be properly disposed of) chest. Sam was bandaging his hand.
From the nearest bathroom, Dean's loud and incredulous words could be heard echoing off the tile: "What do you mean it was 1715? The year 1715?"
"I think he's just jealous he didn't get to go with us," Jack said.
Sam tried to think of something wise and paternal to say in response and eventually just gave up.

hoseok:⎡TEMPERANCE⎦⇁ This card is about the two wells of life and death, mixing and counting everything to the right degree to make your experience pleasant. So, a thoroughly measured approach. With fics, Hoseok separates the good from the bad without denouncing and simply considers it two modes of diversion. Either to thrill or to chill, but his views are not extreme on it. He takes it for granted and will check it out to his gusto without much upheaval. Hobi is aware of the shadow sides of fanfics but both unafraid and too seasoned to reject everything altogether, knowing it needs both sides to arrive at something good. He has a lot of experience with the topic and likes mystical fantasy plots about him the very most, Lord of The Rings or Celtic folklore style. Overall, Hobi is generally wise about the workings of fandom culture and has figured out how to approach and see through the subject in a healthy way.
jimin:⎡8 OF WANDS⎦⇁ This is the card of inspiration and acceleration, wands always carry powerful levels of directed energy. There’s a sense of going right along and targeting something upcoming. He thinks it’s quite a feat if someone puts out a lot of writing and keeps up with the happenings in the fandom or their concepts. Jimin sees it as a fast-paced fandom trend wave and a quick diversion. Also, he finds most genres to be action-heavy and definitely not shy. If he reads something, it’s shorter scenarios and anything where he can be cool and a heroic mochi down to defeat somebody lmao! If that doesn’t sound like him. In essence, Jimin thinks of fics like movies where honor and action is very important. He likes how athletically and combat-savvy he is portrayed.
yoongi:⎡9 OF PENTACLES⎦⇁ Yeah boy, he’s feeling it. A source of gratification, pleasure, healthy expression of fantasy is how Yoongi sees fanfics. In his eyes, stories bring comfort, he knows it from his own writing, so his attitude is positive. He finds authors resourceful and thinks they’re hustlers pretty much akin to what he does, I can’t with him. He also enjoys how ARMY take matters into their own hands and craft their individual storylines and theories, he enjoys that self-sufficiency. He might read something to calm himself and enjoys domestic plots or likes seeing himself written in that context. He also likes fics where he’s a rich man 😂 Sounds like Yoongi. All in all, Yoongi considers fanfics a perfect leisure activity and he engages a lot in it. He feels like there can’t be enough of it and finds it nice to indulge. Out of all members, he reads the longest stories.
taehyung:⎡8 OF SWORDS⎦⇁ He has a negative view on fanfiction, feels criticized and intimidated, trapped even. Taehyung’s view is that people making stories about him takes away his freedom and confuses everything. Taehyung has difficulty growing used to this and feels intruded on rather than appreciated or celebrated. He actually gets sad and resentful about that. The 8 OF SWORDS always shows a dead-end, victimizing, and being caged in, Taehyung thinks he cannot escape being the subject of other people’s fantasy. It’s like a fence or grip around him, as if taken hostage. He feels powerless to the narrative about him and views fanfic culture as going nowhere essentially. Taehyung thinks people who write about him treat him like a puppet and shove him around like they want to. He feels disrespected but mostly depressed and cries a lot about it.
jungkook:⎡10 OF CUPS⎦⇁ Jin’s reading times ten essentially. Oh wow. Now this is the most rose-colored view in Bangtan, knowing that the card is very much about the “happy end” scenario in life. Jungkook feels cozy and innocent about people creating couple stories, in fact, he feels greatly loved through knowing fans want to be together with him. He thinks it’s sweet and flattering and most importantly, extremely romantic. It’s a communication of affection through a distance to Jungkook, he is proud of people to write about BTS and feels like he accomplished his own Studio Ghibli reality where people can create their own favorite scenario. You can tell he wrote fics himself in the past, he’s totally into this. His favorite plots revolve around pregnancy or farm life, and he reads everything that’s about being a family. He coos a lot about how people spend so much time writing about him in such a lovey-dovey way. He’s pretty smitten to say the very least.
namjoon:⎡THE TOWER⎦⇁ Man, RM really doesn’t like it. In fact, he finds fanfic culture catastrophic and feels it all went wrong. He sees the dangers the very most. This card signifies chaos and fallouts, something that erases in a relentless manner. He feels like fanfics came down on him like a natural disaster and need a major revolution, severe changes all the way. Like Taehyung, RM feels like he can’t do anything against what is raging on in the fandom back and forth about him and is terribly afraid of it. He dismisses the topic and finds author’s habits destructive to the point where he wishes it’d all stop. Namjoon grew threatened by people who write about him and thinks they burn down everything he carefully built without regarding him in the very least. He feels like he is shown in a too violent portrayal and wishes people would cast this idea of him away entirely. He thinks it’s hell on earth and rains on his parade.
seokjin:⎡ACE OF CUPS⎦⇁ The exact opposite of Namjoon. Jin thinks of fanfics as a lighthearted and inspired activity. Taking it blithe and easy is Jin’s motto here. To a large extent, he’s happy people feel so involved and appreciative of him and the group, but he’s also yearning a bit because he wants to meet halfway. As in, paying back all the love and yes, the sexiness, too. If he could meet up with fanfic authors and have a fun chat, or read stories personally written for him, or write a fic in reply to someone, he would. Hell, this is the card of hooking up: Jin would like dating somebody talented like that. Someone makes a free 300k novel just for him, and he’s the protagonist? Immense compliment to Jin. He feels sincerely praised and enjoys cheerful plots about BTS being in couples just to spite the dating taboo for fun. More is more he thinks, Jin wants to hear all of the latest genres. In my deck there are two fish mingling on the card, Jin wants people’s romantic fantasies to flow freely. He wants us to try out innovative and cute ideas.

1. What’s your favorite trope to read but not to write? Or vice versa, to write but not read?
There’s only one bed, or fake-dating. I love those but I don’t enjoy writing the former and have never wrote the latter.

Cottagecore, Fairy tale, Fae, and Folk/celtic aes.
3. Ideal writing environment? (Time, place, sound, drink/snacks)
A little room in a cottage in the middle of nowhere, a big wooden desk by a large window that looks out to the rolling fields of the countryside. a chilled milkshake with extra ice cream. bookcases/shelves filled with herbs and knickknacks, and celtic folk songs surrounding me.
4. What’s your favorite side character in your WIP?
The Captain, she just such a mad lad. I love her and her chaos.
5. How would your OCs interact with your favorite characters from other works?
When I finally started Supernatural a few years ago all I could think was how much Dean and Sam, and Mizona would hate each other. So they’d probably try to kill each other.

Mizonas aunt lived in a giant swede, Technically it is mentioned, but to her little sister so I’d say it still counts.

Black Spirit Crown Score Big Win With ‘Gravity’
~Doomed & Stoned Debuts~

Strong guitars chords carve out a bold landscape to begin the first of five cosmic tales. "Doomstar" sails across the universe as a comet, filled with as much magic as destructive possibility. On a dark night, you can almost make out the whirling, wicked tale of this asto-demon.
Welcome to the evocative domain of Ohio's BLACK SPIRIT CROWN. We first met the Clevelanders on their original four-tracker 'Red Sky' (2017), its sphatik gem "Megalith" added to our 'Doomed & Stoned in Ohio' (2017) compilation and the first and second rounds of Ohio Doomed & Stoned Festivals organized in short, subsequent order. The boys of Black Spirit Crown have long been an integral part of the heavy music scene of The Buckeye State, opening for such greats as Conan, Inter Arma, and The Obsessed.
As with their debut, 'Red Sky' (2017), the vocals are so important to convincing us of the band's bonafides. Guitarist Dan Simone and bassist Chris Martin have a good instinct for singing in harmony, building up a song climatically, and giving it legs so it can express itself in fitting form. The vocals on "Doomstar" are mainly clean, on the order of a Bask, Snail, Chrome Ghost, or Noctum, but the band reveals in the song's second half that it can get as grissly as any Aaron Turner project.
"Saga" belts out a solid punk-tempo -- an interesting and entirely fitting choice for a song about Viking rampage. The runaway development of the middle section felt characteristically Pikelike and I half-way expected him to make a quick guesty on the record. Just then, we hear the hearty hoo-hah! of a crowd and run to rejoin them for the song's remaining verse, which soon fades away into the shadowy labyrinth of memory.
Firey drummering distinguishes the advent of the "Orb." Is this odd visitor here to observe us? Or maybe it is intent on giving us a window into a world besides our own? We scarcely have time to ponder the question before the song whisks us away on its transcendental carpet ride. If you're looking to classify Black Spirit Crown's style (and let's face it, all of us have an inner music critic that does) it would be probably best to think of it as "space doom" or even "cosmic grunge." Certainly, there's some kind of a dreamy psychedelic element at play, bending and stretching each song as it will, sometimes for great lengths of time. Perhaps that element is the orb itself?
We're lucky to have very memorable songs on both of Black Spirit Crown's records. For the first, the clear standout was "Megalith," which in a perfect world would have at least given Black Spirit Crown a summer radio hit. On this record, there is ripe opportunity for another crossover with "Teutates."
Teutates by Black Spirit Crown
Teutates was a Celtic god of the ancient peoples of Gaul and Britain, the protector of their entire community. Black Spirit Crown personify his legend in song: "I hold the world in iron hands, I travel pathways not meant for man." Pretty badass, huh? "Write my name across the sky, in lines of fire 10 miles high." He's nothing if not bold, that Teutates.
After the brisk pace of the last rousing number, we burrow back into the cold comfort of the dark soil to reconnect with those doom roots. Here Black Spirit Crown venture into the smokey den of Monolord, Slomatics, and Windhand. Dan's phantom vocals are undoubtedly suited for both the mood and style of "Gravity," which I'm currently listening to just after dusk and it's absolutely ruling the night. I suppose it could rule regardless of when and where it yields its trance-inducing power. By the end of the record we've become one with the comet, and embraced its final destination, as well.

A Listener's Guide to 'Gravity' By Black Spirit Crown
Just days before its release, I caught up the core members of Black Spirit Crown, Dan Simone (guitar, vocals) and Chris Martin (bass, vocals) to get the backstory on the album and insight into the spunky songs written for it.

I understand that it's been quite a journey leading Black Spirit Crown to this new record? Bring us up to speed.
Dan: So, Gravity is an album that's been about two-and-a-half years in the making. Our initial plan was to start recording in late-2017 with our original drummer, Jesse, but unfortunately he left the band that October, right around when we were going to start. At that point we had three of the songs ("Saga," "Orb," and "Gravity") mostly written and ready to record, and were going to write a couple more songs to go with them as we went. When Jesse left it took a little bit to sort out and secure our next drummer, Alex, and then get him up to speed with our existing material. We brought Alex in mid-January of 2018 with a scheduled show opening for Conan at the very beginning of March, so those first several weeks were a relentless drilling down on our existing material so we'd be ready for Conan. After that, people knew we were back and ready to play so that's what we did, for the next several months we just reveled in it, culminating playing to a totally packed house at the first Ohio Doomed and Stoned Fest. Which ruled. After that, Alex was totally immersed in the existing material and we could turn to writing a bit.
We'd love to get a tour of this place. Care to take us through each of these five rooms?
So let's talk about the songs on the album. I write about space, weird fiction themes and probably unsurprisingly, doom, defined as "death, destruction, or some other terrible fate". I've always been a huge fan of fantasy and science-fiction so that's where most of my subject matter comes from. Giant sentient megalithic rock from space that, in it's agony of being trapped in immobile awareness, broods and looms over all creation slowly gathering power to wield entropy versus order until it grinds all of life to a frozen, dusty halt. Stuff like that, but that was the first album. This second album has five tracks.
Doomstar
Inspired by the star Algol. A star of ill-repute for many civilizations it is named Head of the Ogre in Arabic, Satan's Head in Hebrew, Spectre's Head in Latin, and Demon Star in English. The Chinese name it the Mausoleum, or House of Bones. It is the Gorgon's severed head held by the constellation Perseus. It is a harbinger of mayhem and bloody violence, so why not write a song about someone born under this star? Interestingly, the main riffs for this song came to Chris in a dream, and he showed up to practice the next day with the music pretty much complete. I wish I remembered the actual date, because it would perhaps be interesting to know where that star was in our sky while he was dreaming.
Saga
Vikings. I've pretty much always had a thing for them. I wrote most of this song about 16 years ago, but the band I was in then couldn't play it, and it never really fit anything else I was doing until now. It was still kind of a departure for us at first, as it is significantly faster paced than our earlier material, but it sits really well in our live sets, giving the audience a little punch in the face in the middle of it all. Lyrically it touches on a lot of the stories and themes Norse Mythology, without really diving substantially into any specific one. Those stories were called Sagas. Initially the middle part was supposed to have lyrics, and I was going to delve into some specificity, but I couldn’t decide exactly where to go with it, the stories never really worked within the riffs and structure of the song, and then I realized that whenever I was playing those parts I’d envision grizzled vikings in their dragon boats coursing through raging and icy seas. Pretty much a travel montage out of a movie, and that worked for me so I left it alone.
Orb
This song was originally supposed to be on the first album, but we couldn't really get the second half settled in time so we skipped it. It's about a moon-sized orb of living metal that comes to Earth to help humanity transcend to a higher form of existence. Within the Black Spirit Crown mythology, the Orb is diametrically opposed to the Megalith as agents of Life/Order and Death/Chaos respectively. It fell out of our live sets for quite a while, too, when we initially brought Alex in because we were focused on working on settled songs. I was pretty stoked when we brought it back because I really enjoy the weird psychedelic second half. I love working the wah pedal and delay, and Chris just goes bananas through the whole thing. I'd really like someone someday to get some excellent video of us performing it because I dig playing it so much, but I never feel like I get the whole experience because I get sucked in to playing my part.
Teutates
This is the most recently written song on the album, and the single from it. The comet Toutatis is a large asteroid with a chaotic orbit that passed within 18 lunar distances of Earth in 2012. It is large enough to potentially end life on the planet if it were to impact. It gets its name from the god Teutates from Celtic mythology who was, perhaps ironically, a protector god whose name roughly translates to "Be of the Tribe". We really dug the idea of that duality, this thing that was simultaneously a being responsible for the life and well-being of its worshippers, yet could in a thoughtless moment totally obliterate them. Why shouldn't it, really? The huge vocal harmony near the end always gives me chills. "Be of the Tribe, Give up thy life.."
Gravity
The title track of the album. Look, I tend to write long songs, our shortest song is 5 minutes, and our average - not counting this one - is 8 minutes, but we just write until the journey, the story, finds its end. We don't try to write intentionally long songs. Except for this one. With this song we set out to write a song that could fill a live set on its own, 20 -30 minutes.
Musically, it's a meditation. Waves of droning fuzz that crash and recede. Thematically, it's about a group of star-farers who are woken from hyper-sleep to find themselves abandoned on a barren, high-gravity planet by their A.I. which achieved sentience at some point in the journey and decided it had no need for humans. It's the funerary rite for them as they are crushed and frozen by the weight of the alien atmosphere. The last 7 minutes is their death throes, and it was also a total hoot to record.
In the rhythm guitar parts I hold the same chord for the entire 7 minutes, but we tracked three layers of guitar there so I had to hold that chord for 21 minutes. By the end my fret hand was shaking so violently that I had to hit the chord with my pick hand and then grab my fret hand and hold it in place so I didn't shake off of the neck of the guitar. Chris, of course, was laughing hysterically at my agony.
On top of that is total celestial chaos. Two separate theremin tracks, two separate guitar solos by me (one in the foreground one in the background), clips from NASA of electromagnetic storms in Saturn's atmosphere and other weird radio-telegraphic stuff, some keyboard synthesizer by Chris, and a guest appearance by our good friend Joe Fortunato who is a master of atmospheric guitar-synth alchemy (who also appears on the track Orb). Chris then took what could have been just a total mess of noise, and panned and faded and otherwise produced the hell out of it into a marvelous cacophony, and honestly it's exactly what we'd always imagined it could be.
Chris, take us behind the scenes of this whole thing. What were some of the hurdles you had to overcome to get this puppy on record?
Chris: With respect to the drum parts, we had tried to start the record some time ago with our original drummer, Jesse, but we ended up parting ways right around the time we were set to start. After bringing Alex in and getting him up to speed, we had written a couple more songs and were about ready to start going, but things kind of fizzled out with him and he was gone. Rather than waiting to onboard another drummer, get them up to speed, and delay recording even longer, I decided to program the drum parts.
I compiled all the practice recordings we had and scoured Youtube for live videos of shows with both our past drummers, Then, I basically compared the best parts of their respective versions of each song, transcribed them, and programmed those comps as the drum parts. It was pretty time consuming to get all the little nuances right as opposed to, say, starting from scratch and making fresh parts, but I really wanted these to sound like the parts our drummers had done live, because they helped to make the songs what they are.
Bass tracking was done over a couple days. It was pretty straightforward; my P bass into my pedalboard into my old SVT. Can't really go wrong there. The only exception was the second half of "Orb," where I used the bass rig I learned to play on when I was 12; my dad's old '65 Traynor YBA-1, which I inherited when he died. I had planned on using the bass I learned on too - his old '73 Gibson EB-0 -- but there were some electronics issues when I went to start and I couldn't get the tone I wanted out of it. I didn't want to wait for parts to arrive to repair it, so I went back to the P bass, straight into the YBA-1. Still got that really fat, old school sound I was going for, so it was a win.
Guitars were pretty simple as well; Dan's Les Paul into his pedalboard and the 72 Traynor YSR-1. Live, he runs a Traynor YBA-1 reissue as a second amp to fill out the sound, but the YSR sounded pretty gnarly on its own so we stuck with it. I did also end up blending in a little bit of the little Laney combo I have to get a little more bite and cut. It's a great little amp that's been on everything I've done.
Guitars turned out really nice, didn't they?
We had Joe Fortunato (Sparrowmilk, Venomin James) come in and add some synth guitar type stuff on a couple songs as well. The intro and outro of Gravity, as well as some of the crazy laser sounds in the outro, is basically him hitting one note on his custom Dunable/EGC hybrid baritone, then manipulating some of his pedals to create some of the most bizarre things we'd ever heard. I just hit record and told him to make noise. We got about 20-30 solid minutes of random sounds. It was pretty crazy. I went through and picked a solid section that fit the whole mood of the song and dropped it in where I wanted it. Outside of that, there's a bunch of theremin and other random stuff Dan put together.
Vocals were fairly easy. Dan tracked all of his quickly, I tracked all my clean ones later that day. When I went to do my screaming, in Doomstar, Saga and Teutates, I got about half done and my chest and throat started hurting, so I took a couple days to rest them before finishing up, thinking it was from being out of practice. Long story short, I ended up with some gnarly respiratory issues that really impacted my breathing and my voice, and it took me about 4 months to get my stamina back up to be able to do vocals again. It gave me some time to mix, but killed me that I couldn't just finish tracking and wrap it up.

i was born to a line of witches, clairvoyants, and i really want to practice voodoo/hoodoo/Santeria, but im white. i feel like i cant or im not allowed to. i think about it all the time, im drawn to it, i love it. i dont know what to do.
It’s wonderful that you are descended from a lineage of witches and clairvoyants! I think anyone can hone those skills, but it’s also a blessing to have it in your family line. However, that really has nothing to do with closed cultures and the topic you’re asking about…
Woah let’s slow down there with those hyphens. Voodoo =/= hoodoo =/= Santería. Those are two religions and a magic tradition that are all pretty different from each other so those are some diverse interests you’ve got there! Of course, what all three have in common is that they are Africana traditions, meaning that they are derived from African religions.
I made a whole masterpost of explanation on why IMO hoodoo is 100% closed to nonblack people and it includes some good tidbits in there also about Santería and Voodoo as semi-closed, initiatory-only religions. So I will respectfully please ask you to take a look at the network of posts and discussions written by people of African descent which are featured in there.
I also want to take a moment to ask why you are so drawn to these closed and semi-closed ancestral African religions and practices? There are so many deities from open religions who are absolutely incredible and just as worthy of your affection and interest! Unlike most African deities, these ones are also all 100% okay for you to worship and interact with. Some of them may even be related to your ancestral traditions as a white person (depending on your cultural heritage and background).
I don’t know about you, but I think she’s beauty, she’s grace, Artemis would shoot you in the face - what an amazing goddess right here!

Or what about the one African religion that is actually a 100% open religion? Kemeticism has some seriously dope deities, like powerful Anubis over here: [x]

Okay maybe my captions were over the top lol deities really really aren’t just aesthetics or cool looks to shop around for based on who you like the most. But that’s also true for African deities and ATRs (African traditional religions)!! It’s not appropriate to look at Santería or Voodoo like a hot trend or get really into it just because you like it when it’s not your culture or heritage.
The Norse, Celtic, Gaelic, Hellenic, and Kemetic religions are all open. Anyone can practice them or work with deities from their pantheons and it’s completely okay. This isn’t true for ATRs and it’s not true for hoodoo.
My real point here is that not only can anyone worship deities from those open religions, but their deities are also awesome af!!! They are exciting and mysterious and interesting too. They deserve to be loved and worshipped as much as any other deities and they can be without it being appropriative.
If you are white, you have so many options of religious paths to explore. There is literally no need at all to try to practice any of the ATRs. There isn’t a need to practice hoodoo either - you have other American folk magic practices and you also have witchcraft, chaos magick, and many many more magic traditions.
So what you can do is please check out the masterpost I linked above, read some of what us black practitioners have said about why we don’t feel comfortable with white people practicing our traditions and religions. It would genuinely be really appreciated if you did and considered some of these open religions to take as your path instead.

By the time Hades returned to announce Thoth and Bastet would be arriving shortly the Gods had changed into day clothes. V was on the couch curled up in Jimin's arms an awake Yen on the floor in front of them.
"Are you okay?" Yen asked V in a whisper.
He shook his head no in answer and curled himself tighter in Jimin's arms. Yen glanced up at Jimin. "I'm sorry." She apologized.
"What are you sorry for? Was it your fault? I heard it's been messing with you too." Jimin spoke.
Yen let a tear slip down her face. "I'm sorry because this nightmare I've lived with my whole life has found another victim. I wouldn't wish that on anyone especially on someone wonderful."
"H-how do you live with this?" V stuttered.
Yen gave V a weak smile. "It's a burden I've always had. When it affects Tae I use some of my abilities to lesson it for her. I can't erase the memory, but if you want I can take away the fear."
V and Jimin both nodded their heads yes. Yen took V's hands and closed her eyes. Jimin felt V tense before suddenly going limp.
Terrified that Yen did something that seriously hut V he yanked V's hands away and pushed her backwards.
Yen fell back on her elbows and gave Jimin a surprised look. What she saw in his eyes sent chills up and down her spine. " I-I w-was hel-helping." She stuttered.
Jimin made to move forward to get up V stopped him. "Min, no. She didn't hurt me I feel." He swallowed. "I feel great. I feel strong." He turned from Jimin to Yen. "What did you do?"
She gave V a soft smile. "I siphoned all of your negative energy. I drained you of the fear and replaced it with positive energy. I'm sorry I couldn't do more."
"You did more than enough. Thank you!" V moved out of Jimin's arms and off the couch to hug her.
Yugyeom started making his way over to Yen when Thoth and Baste showed up.
"I guess we should get started." Hades announced.
For the next hour or two Thoth and Bastet made V explain his nightmare and what he saw after he woke over and over again so they could analyze every detail. After what had to be the 60th repeat, Namjoon finally yelled enough.
The other Gods kids and Hades sighed contently when they stopped.
Bastet and Thoth huddled together speaking back and forth in angry whispers before re-directing their attention back to the room.
Thoth called Tae and Yen forward. He placed his hands on either side of Tae's head and closed his eyes. He opened his eyes and gave her a slight smile before moving on to Yen.
Everyone jumped as Yen filled the silence of their home with an ear piercing scream. Instead of letting go Thoth dug his fingers deeper into her scalp.
They watched as her screams died and her body went limp. Bastet forcibly holding Yugyeom back as he tried to get to Yen.
Thoth opened his eyes and released her causing Yen's limp body to crumple in a heap at his feet.
Whatever magic that held back Hades, Jackson, Jimin, V, and Hoseok dissipated causing them to fall in a heap around Yen.
Hades jerked up and glared at Thoth. "What in Tartarus was that?" He spat.
"My sincerest apologies. It was not my intention to harm the girl. I needed to see what she has seen, what she has experienced to understand if what has happened to her or the boy correlate to what the Gods children were created for."
"What is your conclusion, brother?" Bastet queried.
Thoth put his finger on his lip and contemplated for a moment. "I have concluded that whatever it is that is tormenting these children is most definitely either Sumerian or Mesopotamian. This being so means that the moment of truth has come and their destiny has begun."
Thoth finished speaking and looked to Bastet and Hades. The Gods kids sat waiting for them to continue. The Gods kids watched in silence as it seemed the three were in a silent conversation of their own.
Bastet was the first to break eye contact and with a soft sad smile turned to the kids. "TO start we have to go back to the beginning. The story begins long before the Gods that are in power now were. Only a handful of the old and ancient Gods are still awake. At the beginning the Mesopotamian Gods ruled. After a time a sect of them broke off and fought to take over. The Mesopotamian Gods lost and the Sumerians took over. Tempest the God of Time and Khalida the destroyer of worlds were imprisoned. They were the two most ruthless and vile of the Gods. With the old Gods out of the way the Sumerians set out to create utopian societies where Gods and mortals could live in harmony, peace, and prosperity. Ryujin moved to what is now Asia and became the Progenitor of Dragons. He also created some of the mythical and legendary cities. Another group of Sumerians left for the Celtic Isles and became known as the Tuathe De. They also created mythical and legendary cities. Others stayed and crated Atlantis. For a time it seemed as if they achieved their goal of a utopian society. Sadly that of course didn't last. Even with Tempest and Khalida imprisoned they were able to crate chaos. With help from the outside they crated different breeds of super naturals. For example the first set of vampires were borderline indestructible with the help of Khalida's silver blood. The peaceful Gods were at a loss as to how to save the world. Eventually a prophecy came to the first Oracle Acheron also known as the ultimate fate. The prophecy he saw: There will come a time. Those that are lost will be found. When those forgotten will rise. The power to save us all will be unbound. To save the world seen in prophecy 14 children must come to be. Born of pantheons that are not the same. These full God children will be the salvation for the forgotten to be unchained. Shortly after Acheron spoke the prophecy minus Ryujin, the Sumerian Gods fell into slumber. As time went on their names and histories fell by the wayside. Other Gods became prominent. Humans and super naturals learned how to exist. Which leads us to now." Bastet finished.
She looked at the kids while they digested all the information. Namjoon was the first to speak. "You said the prophecy spoke of 14 children. There are 15 of us."
"I have a theory on that." Thoth chimed in. "When it came time to produce said children, many were in agreement. We conclude that there was just an extra pairing. Better to have more than less."
"So what are we supposed to do?" Jaebum questioned.
"Find Khalida's soul stone and destroy it. It is the only thing in existence that can finish her for good. Many of us tried, but we aren't the children of prophecy." Hades answered.
"Umm...." Jackson started.
"For this, we are officially at a loss. No god has a clue as to where it could be, what it looks like, or even how to look for a clue to lead to it." Hades stated.
"How do we know it's a soul stone then?" Namjoon posited.
"Every God has one. You could say it's our life force if you will. It is the surest way to snuff out a Gods existence. For the most part our stones are tied to our tapestries that only two beings have access to." Bastet answered directing her gaze to Tae and Yen.
"The earliest dated tapestry we watch over is Donii. We've never seen a Sumerian tapestry." Tae explained.
Thoth's ears perked up at the name Donii. "Donii, are you positive that, that name is on a tapestry? Not a different name?"
Tae turned to Thoth and opened her mouth to speak, but Yen beat her to it. "Yes it's Donii's. Well one. She has many tapestries woven together. More than most Gods."
"Who is Donii? The way you guys are speaking makes it seem really important." Jaebum spoke.
"Thoth looked to Hades and Bastet to pose a quick private conversation.
As the three of them huddled in a corner, Yen explained to the Gods kids who Donii was. "Over the eons Gods came and went. Some, a very notable few have always remained. Their names changed according to culture and society, but they are the same. Donii is one of those few. She is the Great Mother. A lot of societies and cultures refer to her as Gaea."
Yen finished her explanation as Hades, Thoth, and Bastet returned from their huddle. Thoth directed his question to Tae and Yen. "Can you take us to Donii's tapestry?" He asked excitedly.
"NO" Both girls said in unison.
He tried again. "It's important. It could be a clue.
Once again in unison. "NO"
Bastet tried and also received a NO.
"There could be a map." Thoth tried a third time.
The Gods were no longer speaking to Tae and Yen, but to the Fates. Once again they spoke in unison. "The tapestries of life are the responsibility of PAST, PRESENT, FUTURE, and ABOSOLUTION. NO BEING BUT THOSE CHARGED SHALL EVER ACCESS THE HALLS."
The Gods kids looked at the girls as they spoke. Watching as their eyes turn gold before fading back to normal. The focus solely on the girls no one caught the third set of eyes flashed gold as well. Nor the lip movement following along in sync.
Thoth sighed in defeat. "Could we at least see a recreated image?"
Tae and Yen locked gazes having a silent conversation. Yen eventually broke contact and nodded at Thoth as Tae shot her arm out creating an astral visual of Donii's tapestry.
Thoth studied the visual joyfully. Every so often letting out excited little yips. When he felt the tapestry was successfully burned into his memory he turned away and thanked the girls. "I believe we finally have a starting point." He informed the room. "The tapestry is indeed a map of sorts. Not a complete one, but it does lead us to one of the libraries of knowledge. It leads to Fukurokuju. He's a Japanese God of wisdom. There is a book in his library that once belonged to an ancient sect of demons. It is the most important book in his library and therefore what I believe you need to begin your destined quest." Thoth finished.
Everyone sat waiting for him to continue. How do they find the library? Do they just ask him for the book? Once they have it, if they can even get it what do they look for?
When it was evident no further explanations were going to be given Jinyoung spoke up. "So the idea is that we are supposed to travel to Japan, find some mythical library, bang on a door, demand a book and then...?"
"That's not it exactly. His library can only be located and accessed at the shadow time. Once inside you'd only have 30 or so minutes to get in, find the book, and get out. The old libraries are all rigged so people can't just wander in. His library can only be accessed once a year." Thoth answered.
"And that is when?" Namjoon pressed.
"December 21st and only for 30 minutes or so like I said. If you are in there past that you will be stuck for a year or dead."
Everyone in the room just stared at Thoth. December 21st was in 4 days. How in the Underworld were they supposed to get to Japan in 4 days, locate the library, get in and out in 30 minutes, and carry on? Some of them hadn't even shown abilities yet.
It seemed the destined were destined to fail before they could even begin.
All Jimin could think was that Destiny was an Emotional Suck

Christmas Miracles -- Dec 21st
Sam x Reader
Word Count: 889
A/N: This was written for @webcricket advent challenge. Prompt: Yule Log
Warnings: Language, some violence but mostly fluffy.
Dirt, trees, two huge sweaty men and you walking through the woods, wow what a way to a Christmas. Other people were singing carols, or burning a yule log, “What the hell is a yule log anyway?” You muttered while you bitched to yourself.
“What was that?” Sam turned to you.
“Nothing, I'm just going to make this damn tree god my personal yule log after we kill it.” You told him.
“I second that.” Dean chimed in. “Why did this thing have to be in dead center of the forest?”
Sam sighed, keeping a quick pace to make sure you and Dean wouldn't dawdle. “It's a tree god, in Celtic lore, Medeina is a goddess and ruler of the forest and her sacred animal is a rabbit.”
You huffed, “Really a fucking rabbit. That's why you have us out here with the damn ticks and bugs.”
“Yes, rabbits! Hares to be exact and they are normally found near the center of the woods because it gives them more coverage from predators.” Sam explained, only moving faster through the brush.
Rolling your eyes you trudged forward for what felt like forever, thank goodness it wasn't hot or else you would have complained even more. You were thankful that Sam was such a good researcher but this just sucked, you wanted to be drinking spiked eggnog and watching ‘Scrooged’ cause Bill Murray always made you laugh. One day a year you guys take a break and this is how you spend it.
Sam noticed how grumpy you were, “I'm sorry that Christmas isn't going to happen this year but this tree god only shows its face around the winter solstice so if we don't get her today we have to wait another year.”
“I know” your voice dropped as you looked down, you were upset, but that wasn't a reason not to do your job, this thing had been killing anyone who tried to cut down trees near here. “The monster is protecting the forest but couldn't it just recycle.” You cracked a joke.
“There's our girl. We'll have Christmas when we get back maybe even take off until the New Year.” Sam’s eyes twinkled blue and gold as the moonlight reflected off of his iries. Why did he have to be so damn beautiful?
You looked down smiling to yourself, “Yeah that’d be nice.”
At the end of the trail was a small clearing, bunnies were surrounding a large tree, they scattered when the three of you approached. “This is it.” Sam let out.
Dean handed Sam an axe, “Let's get to chopping.” Sam didn’t get to take a second swing before Medeina made her appearance, screaming in pain.
“Just keep chopping, I got this bitch.” You pulled out the iron knife that would kill her, running up to her way too wide open and you knew it. Only landing one or two punches before she slapped you down, focusing her attention on Sam. She may be strong but you were fast, your muscular legs propelled you infront of Sam taking the full blow of her wrath. Sam watched as you held your arm and kept fighting, distracting her from Dean, who thrusted a blade into her ribcage. Medeina fell to the ground, as a death rattle came from deep inside her. Sam yelled, “We have to finished cutting the tree down or else she can come back next year.”
Dean and you grabbed the extra axes and helped Sam, in less than a few minutes the tree fell. After you all spent the next hour chopping up the tree, bottles and bottles of lighter fluid was doused on the pile of wood. The tree went up and flames, helping to cut the chill in the air.
“Now that’s what I call a yule log.” Dean commented bumping his shoulder into you.
“Yeah, it is. It’s so peaceful out here.” You breathed deep watching Sam put away the supplies.
“You know I can get lost, if you want?” Dean asked signalling to Sam.
“There are Christmas miracles and then there are Christmas realities, Dean. Us together is a fantasy that will probably never happen.” You informed him.
“Well… I’ll just be somewhere else.” Dean walked off down the trail a little.
Sam moved over to you, “Where did Dean go?”
“I don’t know.” You shrugged.
“Ok, um I never thanked you for saving me back there.” Sam rocked on his heels as he put in hands in is pockets.
“Nothing you hadn’t done for me a thousand times.” You didn’t want to make a big deal out it.
“Yeah, but still.” He draped his arm around you as you both watched the fire. “This is actually really nice.” You wrapped an arm around his waist, “The stars, a fire, and my favorite girl.”
“Your favorite girl?” You looked up at him questioning.
“Yeah!” He chuckled and his boyish dimples formed. Your body automatically turned to him, he slowly dipped his head down to you giving you plenty of time to pull away when tender plump lips pressed against yours. “Merry Christmas!”
“Merry Christmas!” You breathed out quickly before you lifted yourself on your tiptoes, kissing him back and roughly but passionately as the glow of the fire illuminated your face. You were now starting to believe in Christmas miracles.

The Parting Glass - Plot Drop
The fire flickered fitfully, chasing over the faces of the dancers as they weaved their way in and and around the flames. Tristan sat, removed for once, from the festivities, picking at his food restlessly with the other nobility upon the raised dias. If he had had his say in the situation, he would have been with his brothers, eating in shifts and standing guard. Instead, he had the dubious pleasure of sitting next to his father, Henri d’Aumont, General of France’s Army, who if anything had been treating him with an even chillier air since his son’s last exploit had struck his ears.
The older man, graceful and understated as he chatted quietly with the Secretary of Foreign Affairs on the opposite side of him, hadn’t officially voiced his displeasure. Still, Tristan had heard, in the doubling-back and roundabout ways of Court that his father had renewed efforts in order to have him suitably wed, without informing the King. It maddened Henri, he knew, that he had no official say in this, not now that Alexandre had come into power and he couldn’t effortlessly exert his paternal control over his youngest son.
Tristan did his best to not to meet his eyes, keeping his attention focused forward. The Musketeer had done his best to dress for the light formality of the occasion, clothed in uniform, but he still felt out of place separated from the crowd below. He was uncomfortable side by side with Alexandre as well, now that his wife was nearby and the knowledge of it all sat heavily between them.
His only saving grace had been the small band, musicians recruited from somewhere deep within Paris, skilled all. They took the group of dancers through several lively reels, and a few slower songs, before they finally fell into a soft, Celtic ditty that was strangely familiar to Tristan’s ears. Despite how he searched his mind, he couldn’t place where he had heard it, but it was eerily lovely as those few slow notes began, and the band’s young singer stepped forward. In a high, clear voice like a bell, the singer began to accompany it:
Oh, all the money that e'er I spent I spent it in good company And all the harm that e'er I’ve done Alas, it was to none but me
The music slowed and the dancing slowed with it, the dancers and the merrymakers transfixed by the purity of the young man’s voice. There was something melancholy in the words as they soared and drifted like the smoke emanating from the flames. Tristan felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand up, a sudden chill rush down his spine, although he had nothing to connect it to. It was only the midsummer moon, the song, the fire, the flickering of flames distorting features and distorting thoughts.
And all I’ve done for want of wit To memory now I can’t recall So fill to me the parting glass Good night and joy be with you all.
His father’s voice, embroiled in one of his characteristic, drowning lectures, cut off suddenly in a throat-clearing. Tristan didn’t bother to glance to him, still transfixed by the young man’s voice and the beauty of the song. Henri often cleared his throat when he was impatient or disliked something. It was only after the third consecutive time, and a new sound, a guttural gasp that followed, that Tristan finally yanked up his head and regarded him. The Musketeer’s expression, which was full of trepidation, shifted quickly into one of horror. The dancers had stopped dancing. The dias was thrown into chaos. His father fell, dragging down the tablecloth with him, clawing at his throat. Tristan, driven by instinct, launched himself towards him, while the majority stared in terrified silence.
He attempting to half-carry his father down from the dias before the older man buckled out of his hands, straightening out hard against the cobbles of the square. As Tristan turned him over in his arms, there was a gasp from the onlookers. The Marshal of France’s face had turned a hideous shade of purple and he was still struggling desperately to breathe. Foam bubbled up between parted lips, white, and tinged with blood. Tristan, who had attempted to remain calm, cradling his father, was unravelling. Tears stung his eyes. “Help,” he cried out to the panicked onlookers. “Please.” His voice shattered. “Please, he’s my father. Your general. Please, please help me.”
All the while, the song continued on.
Oh all the comrades that e'er I’ve had Are sorry for my going away And all the sweethearts that e'er I’ve had Would wish me one more day to stay
Alexandre had rushed towards him at some point, almost unnoticed, trying to support Henri as Tristan desperately tried to clear his airwaves. Again, and again, he tried, pressing hard and desperately against his father’s chest, watching the great, cool gaze become more and more unfocused. A harsh rattling escaped Henri, slumping in his son’s grip, but Tristan refused to give up. “No,” he spat, and kept trying, jolting the lifeless body in his arms, trying to raise the dead with his own trembling hands. “No, he can’t be, Alexandre, help me. Help me—-“
“Please—-”
But since it falls unto my lot That I should rise and you should not I’ll gently rise and I’ll softly call Good night and joy be with you all Good night and joy be with you all

Trinity was my first spot when I just arrived in Dublin (the reason of Harry Porter lol). Founded in 1592, Trinity College is one of the oldest university in Ireland. The library of Trinity College is a legal deposit library for Ireland and UK, containing over 6.2 millions printed volumes andsignificant quantities of manuscripts, including the 'Book of Kells'. Also, the library ofHogwarts had been shot in Trinity library!

TOP 2: St. Stephen Green Park
If you want to take a lunch break far away from chaos in town, go to this amazing centre park surrounded by perimeter trees and shrub paints. (But watch out the birds' turd!) Stephen Green is the most famous Victorian public park in the heart of town. While the central park of St Stephen's Green is one of three ancient commons in the city, it's currently layout owes much to the restorations of the 1800s. The style of the park remains the same as hundred years ago. It's always good to chill out with friends lying on the grass in the warm sunny day!

The Victorian bedding has the most amazing view of the park!

TOP 3: National Museum of Ireland
If you're interested in Viking, Iron age, Celtic history, here might be the best place for you ! The National Museum of Ireland - Archaeology, first opened in 1890 and since then it has been filling in the blanks for us through its extensive archaeological collections. The collections include Celtic, vikings prehistoric gold artefacts and Medieval art. Those treasury offers you a great opportunity to broaden your archaeology knowledge.

TOP 4: Grafton Street
Don't miss out the most popular shopping street in town if you are shopaholic like me (Uff...I' m not!). There are several brands, souvenir shops and cafes in this street. Entering from Stephen’s Green in the south, Grafton Street meanders by a series of architecturally rich townhouses and you will walk down to Trinity college at the end of the street.

TOP 5: Ha' Penny Bridge
Two minutes to walk from the bridge but 5 mins story time:
Half Penny Bridge is a pedestrian bridge built in 1816 over the River Liffey in Dublin city centre. Before the Ha'penny Bridge was built there were seven ferries. The ferries were in a bad condition and someone call 'Wiser Walsh' (I actually can't recall the name) was informed that he had to either fix them or build a bridge. He chose the latter option and was granted the right to extract a ha'penny toll from anyone crossing it for 100 years. The toll was increased for a time to a penny-ha'penny (That's where the name come from), but was eventually dropped in 1919.

TOP 6: Phoenix Park My secret paradise in this city! Phoenix park is the natural urban park in Dublin, located 2-4km west of the city centre. It is one of the largest enclosed recreational spaces within any European capital city! The park includes large areas of grassland and tree-lined avenues, and since the 17th century has been home to a herd of WILD DEER! (You might find many groups of deer in any quite place in park, please don't disturb/annoy them!) TIP:

TOP 7: Howth Irish weather is always unpredictable. If the weather is good, you don't miss the chance to do to the seaside! Howth is the bay side in the north of Dublin. The best things to do in Howth actually involve being out in nature, hiking hills and eating seafood which will suit you perfectly! Take a leisurely trip out to sea and admire all the different birds from the boat (but don't trigger those seagulls), spot some seals and see the Martello Tower. Or you can get another boat out to the islands and explore them by foot. Climb to the top of the hill and gaze out over the stunning views, or chill on the beautiful sandy beach. You can even visit a monastery that is dated back to 700 AD!

TOP 8: Guinness Storehouse Alcoholic? Guinness Lover? This amazing 'Alcohol Museum' might be for you! I've been to Guinness storehouse two years ago even though Guinness isn't my favour taste of drink. But this shinning storehouse goes far more than that. They explains the history of Beer! The story is told through various of interactive exhibition areas including ingredients,brewing,transport, cooperage, advertising more! For now the building in which the Storehouse is located was constructed in 1902 as a fermentation plant for the St. James's Gate Brewery (Don't tell me you've never heard of that;) You won't feel regret to visit this place and broaden your knowledge of drinks. TOP 9: St Partick's Cathedral I'm not a big fan of Celtic architecture, but this spectacular St Partick's Cthedral should be on your list if you want to see the most classic craic monument in the city! Founded in 1191, it's the National Cathedral of the Church of Ireland. Here is a place where history is alive and tradition breathes, where lives are remembered and transformed, and where all are welcome to experience and explore the loving presence of God. TIP:
Don't need to go to Netherland(just kidding, ofc you should!), you can find tulips surrounded by the cathedral area!

Here is an area on the south bank of the River Liffey in central Dublin, It is recognised as Dublin's 'cultural quarter' and, as a centre of Dublin's city centre's nightlife, is a tourist favourite destination. A genuinely warm welcome to everyone comes to Ireland , backed by first-rate modern service, is the hallmark of this friendly spot in Dublin. I will recommend those traditional Irish Music Pubs(follow the music and find our by yourself lol).
