Hello X-philes,
I’m pretty sure all of you remember the glorious night of the famous Webby Awards! When Alien Baby Baby Mama and Webby Best Actress Gillian Anderson approached the stage in crutches and accepted an award from her friend, David ‘one arm in a sling’ Duchovny. It was a great moment in our fandom.
As a celebration of this event & to congratulate @gillianaofficial for her win as the ‘Tenacious, cool-headed Detective Superintendent Stella Gibson’, we would like to invite you to participate in our first raffle.👏👏
Our awesome friend, @allyinthekeyofx donated a limited edition Fossil watch to our cause and we could not be more grateful to her! ❤️
The watch is modelled on Dana Scully’s watch in season 5-9. It is in mint condition.
To enter the raffle is easy. You donate $5 to Naya Kismet  and you have a chance to be the lucky winner!
Deadline: 30th June, Midnight
Donations, as always, will go to @childreachinternational & TargetZero.

For day 4 of @allheartgillian, I am honored to donate £10 to @childreachinternational's #TaughtNotTrafficked campaign as a virtual birthday gift for @gillianaofficial.  The work they do is phenomenal, and they will have my support always.
Screening @soldthemovie was the most powerful experience of my entire life.  Human trafficking must be stopped, and it's organizations such as this one who are working to do that.  I can't say enough wonderful things about Childreach.  💖⭐

Since my previous link didn’t work…
Over the next two years, I’ll be working with Childreach International to aid local child rights activists and primary schools in Tanzania. However, to do this, I’ll be collecting donations for the charity as well as taking part in various events in London to fundraise towards this cause. Hit this link below to donate to the cause!
https://mydonate.bt.com/donation/start.html?participant=412433
Please be aware that some of the money raised will be spent on expenses to travel there so I can work with the children, but the rest will be going towards the community that I’ll be assigned to.
Childreach International is a global child rights movement working in Bangladesh, Brazil, India, Nepal and Tanzania to ensure that children can take a stand and fulfil their own potential. Every single child has the right to live, learn and play. To be happy, safe and free. Childreach International works in collaboration with local communities to ensure that nothing stands in the way of a child’s dreams.
Please reblog if you can or better yet, donate!!

I would really appreciate anything that you donate as I’m reaching my deadline but I’m far from my goal for this year. Even if you can’t donate please reblog this if you can!!

People are complaining about We because it is not really for "women everywhere" as it isn't for women who have been touched by war or have been displaced from their lands. Actual quote. Seriously??? What book out is for those women. How the fuck is anyone who hasn't experienced those things supposed to write a book that helps those women. People are taking the title too literally and it feels like they are just complaining to complain.
Sighhhh.
Listen, I haven’t actually read the book yet. I just got it today, & have only skimmed the first few pages. I can’t really speak to whether or not We addresses women in the situations you mentioned.
What I do know is that Gillian Anderson donates time, money, & visibility to the following charities:
SA-YES is a charity that helps displaced South African youth transition safely from care homes to independent living.
Survival International is a global non-profit that lobbies & fights for the rights of tribal people. They work to ensure that tribal people have a voice & a platform.
Childreach International works across the world, including in Africa & Asia, to stop child trafficking.
This isn’t a comprehensive list of the charities she supports, just a few examples of the ways in which she contributes her funds & visibility to help people who have been “touched by war” & “displaced from their lands.”
I’d really love to see what the people criticizing We, which was written from Gillian & Jennifer’s own experiences, are doing to help women & children in other countries – or their own countries, for that matter. It’s easy to play armchair revolutionary & nitpick other peoples’ charity.
I think you’re absolutely right, anon. These people are complaining just to complain – or they have another issue with Gillian & are using any little bullshit they can in order to bring her & her causes down. Seriously fucking sad.
P.S. I included links to all the charities mentioned, just in case those who are so concerned with what Gillian is doing for women in other countries would like to make a contribution of their own, or get involved in some other way.

So I thought any proceeds from this one could go to Childreach International. It’s up on Redbubble, which is also having a 20% off deal right now with the code HANGON20. :) Also available in red and blue.

Wishing the amazing @gillianaofficial a very happy birthday! In honor of Gillian's special day, consider donating to one of her favorite charities like Neurofibromatosis Network, SA-Yes, or Childreach International.

Had the pleasure of meeting Gillian Anderson for lunch in London this week (2016) in support of @childreachinternational a great charity with the mission to restore child-rights and empower children to create positive change through community based solutions, ensuring children have improved access to education, protection and healthcare. Gillian very kindly took some time out of her day and was fabulous, a very engaging, down to earth funny woman. (2016)

She Is Beautiful Inside And Out
It’s clearly that Gillian is a stunning lady, but inside she may be even more beautiful. She’s been active with a variety of charities like The Trevor Project, Childreach International and Greenpeace. Also, as you see above, she supports mental health projects and women rights issues as well.
She’s also just a generally nice person and very open to fans. Even before The X-Files was rebooted, Gillian regularly attended comic cons and other events. By making herself relatable and approachable, she takes her sexiness to the next level.
