Tbh I'm very disappointed with Chicago Fire's season 12 premiere because lots of (important) things happened off screen and I'm not really okay with that.
Sylvie saying yes to Matt, Stellaride's reunion (and Kelly explaining why he just ghosted her), Mouch being okay, Gallo deciding to move out of state...
We're used to time jumps, but come on, not when all of this happens??? And now what, are we not even going to see Matt and Sylvie's wedding I guess. Or a proper conversation between Stella and Kelly.
Argh, this premiere was INTENSE and I've loved it, the arson thing, the firehouse being a family, and the scenes were very good but the start left me UHM because I didn't see this coming tbh.
It's just my opinion ofc but these missing moments are not easy to digest.

I'm not saying Kelly is in the right...but Stella getting mad at him when he takes a longer furlough in season 11--annoys me. It's a tad hypocritical, in my opinion, when she did something very similar prior to officially taking her role as a lieutenant. And Kelly Severide is far from perfect, but I think him willing to give up a lot for Stella is unfair. I'm not saying him staying away without telling her the full truth can be swept under the rug, but I do think Stella has no room to really judge. I'll also be very upset with the writers if they turn Kelly into the bad guy or make him fall into patterns that are Benny leaning. He's had too much character development for that to happen. Not to mention it would be a complete blow to his entire character if Stella pursues the warning Kelly's mom said of him becoming Benny.

Chicago Fire producer Andrea Newman talks Brett and Casey's "truly perfect match"
Chicago Fire producer Andrea Newman tells us why Brett and Casey are a "truly perfect match" and reflects on Dawsey in our new interview!
Wedding bells are ringing for Brett and Casey on Chicago Fire, in what will be one of the most talked-about Season 12 episodes for multiple reasons. Not only is “Port in the Storm” the hour in which Brettsey tie the knot, but it’s also the last episode for actor Kara Killmer, whose departure was announced before the season began. That means One Chicago fans are expecting a lot from the story,…

We really got Kelly jumping on top of a car hanging halfway out the side of a building, trying to hold it long enough for his wife to jump out the backseat window. While managing to instruct squad 3, regulate his own damn emotions & encourage his wife because he knew she was probably afraid😅
& I don't think we talk about that scene enough

Oh my...these are such amazing ideas!!
I would absolutely love to see that Tony and new paramedic story line. To be honest, we just need more Tony and Capp altogether. They are such underrated and underused characters. Especially since they've been there from the start.
I also love the idea of Ritter having a proper relationship storyline. And having it be a crossover too, would be brilliant. We need those back. The fact that the showrunners keep pushing that it's "One Chicago" need to get back to that. Plus, we (read I) need more Plouch.
The only thing that I'd disagree with is having Sylvie leave so soon. Mainly because I NEED to see the Brettsey wedding. We didn't get to see the moment she said yes (yet at least, unless they do it in a flashback) and with this being her third engagement, I think we need to see her actually be married. And I really want to see more Mom!Sylvie. But I do think it should be done within the first half of the season so that they can dedicate more time to introducing and integrating the new paramedic.
Also, definite yes to the more goofy aspects coming back to the show.
HEAR ME OUT...what if? this season?
We get a Tony storyline.

I can't stand how they're trying to put Severide and Cruz against one another, that doesn't make any sense.
Severide left, and yeah, maybe he should've told Cruz how grateful and proud he was, but that doesn't mean Cruz can just go and do whatever he thinks is right while on a call, considering that Severide is his lieutenant. That argument was complete nonsense.
Tbh I'm really angry because yeah, Taylor needed some time off but there was no need to make Severide ghost everyone while he was away, that was a poor writing choice, they could've done things differently.

I hope that with everything in me Sylvie Brett gets the ending that not only she deserves but Kara Killmer also deserves. Kara has been on Chicago Fire for a little over 7 (maybe 8) years now and she’s the longest running female character in OC history.
I’m sad to see her go because she’s been one of the only reasons I’ve kept watching Chicago Fire. I related to Sylvie Brett so much and loved watching her grow from the green paramedic in a new city to the badass PIC she became. Especially the love story with her and Matt. Her character and Brettsey inspired me to start writing fanfics and I’ll be forever grateful for the support on that and the support of the fandom here.

Will I keep watching after she leaves? I haven’t decided yet. But I’m really excited for this new chapter in her life and will support her in any new projects she’ll be in.
