4th: Wang Ren Chuan
I guess what I like about the way he’s positioned is body is the angular nature of it. For me, gives a fascinating contrast to the essence of the water. He took advantage of the boldness of the black pants, created this cool position with it to where it looks like a silhouette underwater. I like it in an unconventional way.

Runner-up: Wang Ren Chuan
The only reason I’ve placed Wang Ren Chuan second is because of his baby-face which I couldn’t ignore, especially as it specially caters to this brief. But high-key, universally speaking, it’s the same facial expression coming from him lately, similar to one ones he started off the cycle with. I hoped it was a one or two-off but at this point he’s a one trick pony. I feel he has potential but I hope for him to bring back his momentum.

Wang Ren Chuan
Place: Second Runner-up
Average: 5.8
With all due respect, Wang Ren Chuan’s photographic journey this cycle was like watching paint dry in some instances. Boring photos, repetitive expressions, it was predictable and would’ve been a cold day in hell if he was to deliver either a staggering or at least a decent shot. Surprisingly enough, he did! His flower beauty was his best photograph in the entire cycle, then he slowly improved with some other above average photos. Like Liu Xian Xia, he started to demonstrate a little more fight in him near the end, just a little though, not enough to really convince me he was a top competitor, let alone 2nd runner up which I didn’t agree with at all. Despite all this though, he is very photogenic and it’s a shame he didn’t max out his modelesque prospects.

So close but a little far. If his eye contact was more compelling then for what it’s worth, I would have more positivs to comment on. His pose is the most promising aspect of the shot, but again, the let down is his failure to attempting solid eye contact which is a major factor to me. It’s the weakest finale shot of all three I’m afraid. Not to mention, the styling is verging on lazy. I’ve seen a lot more legit looking and believable couture pieces, on the runway for example, than instead, here what looks like a mundane suit and tie. But i know that this is obviously not his fault. I just wanted to point it out in responce to his styling. In conclusion, his direct efforts didn’t pay off in this photo.

Runner-up: Wang Ren Chuan
Truthfully, this is one of the better photos for sure. I had to put it up as second place because in all honesty, it isn’t as poorly executed as it could’ve been in my opinion. The somewhat angsty facial expression translates nicely, the minimal body position also does him favours of making the shot more successful rather than a total letdown. It’s nothing amazing but it’s fairly solid if you ask me.

I’ve said in since the beginning that this man is truly photogenic as heck. The camera loves him. But I’ve ranked it to 3rd because there are times when this stoney-faced expression may do him a disservice of a photo. It’s been a reoccurrence in past photos. Although his features are damn near angelic, the expression truly counts which he lacks here. He doesn’t seem personable, carefree or sweet. He looks a little pissed off if I’m honest. A warm smile would’ve been an improvement. But on the upside, the positioning of his body is just perfect! Every angle is rightly hit and there are no awkward point at all. Actually, scratch the ‘no awkward points’ part. A little nitpick I have is his fingertips that are half-heartedly around the pole. Why couldn’t he just actually grab hold of it? It’s one of those things that weighs the shot down, but not too much.

Wang Ren Chuan’s performance is average. The more I rewatch it nothing new springs up and surprises me, nothing I haven’t noticed from my first time watching. It’s balanced in the middle of the spectrum: lukewarm.

Aaaand here we are again. I’m uninspired. It’s a habitual cycle of his pedestrian photos.

As you may be expecting with how low I’ve ranked him, you’ll hear some negative critiques from me at this. However, what I’ll also do is call a spade a spade. As I’ve commented with a few of his photos in the past, he’s done it here again, is that to me he’s photogenic af! I mean, despite his static facial expression, I can’t deny his already appealing natural features and how they’re his most prominent and redeeming assets in front of the camera. But simultaneously, the stiffness in his body is way too evident to ignore. I just wish he loosened up a little more I guess. But again, I guess it played into his character in the video shoot which I reckon is the sorta chic and suave guy. And don’t get me started on the awkward finger-pointing toward the mirror, another minor flaw pretty much. He’s gotta up his game in future, regain that unique factor that he surprised me with in a few of his past shots.

Following the same blueprint of Li Si Jia’s shot, Wang Ren Chuan has brought a clean-cut shot. His stance spotlessly showcases the outfit and I like the nice touch with one of his hands in the pocket. His other hand on his temple is off-putting at first, as it initially verging on Detroit: Become Human Android Robot😂 but over time, I find it adds this edge and quirk to the catalog shot. Not bad at all!

This is extremely poetic, vehement and romantic. Who tf is this guy and what did he do to the Wang Ren Chuan I’ve seen so far?!? He’s blossomed into a full-blown model through this one and only shot. He’s hit the nail on the head with his emotional impact. The contrast between his fixed glare into the distance and at the same time the delicacy and gentleness of the way he’s placed the flower on the side of his face is purely exceptional. His cheekbones, lips, basically his entire face looks gorgeous here; he’s pretty much showcased his features the best way he possibly could and props to him for the effort that 100% worked in his favour. I’m in love with this photo of him!

Honestly, just think of the word ‘basic’ and all of it’s synonyms. That’s what I feel about this shot I’m afraid.
