Red and Bitty Milk

(okay, so a cherry shake then ;)

“hey, shh, hey doll, it’s just me. shh it’s okay.” Red held Milk against his chest.

Milk had never been so panicked in his life. He’d just come back from visiting his brother and ended up getting chased away from home by the aggressive dog.

Cooing, Red nuzzled Milk as he brought him into the house and shut the door, glaring as the dog tried to follow them inside. He went upstairs quickly, shutting and locking his door before sitting on the bed and laid down with Milk still on his chest. “okay, we’re in the room, no dog.”

Sniffling, Milk clung to his shirt and shook, magic dim from his fear. Red hated seeing this and began to softly kiss the tiny skeleton everywhere he could. Head, back, stomach, everywhere. “hey, easy...we’re home. you’re safe now. ‘m so sorry that dumb mutt got to ya first, didn’t know he was around.”

Milk just nodded, trying to breathe and calm down. It was easier as he felt Red’s soul pulsing under him, his own magic slowly calming to match the slow rhythm.
