for someone that ships chestappen, you look like you want checo out of redbull like the haters
I don't see what one thing has to do with the other. I ship Chewis and they haven't been teammates so far, or Hulkenrez and they stopped being teammates in 2018, Chestappen will live even if Checo moves to another team (besides if half of my asks of today are right, Max's next teammate is Yuki, and I see zero chemistry between them).
I do want Checo out of RBR, but not because I'm a hater, on the contrary, because I'm a lover (uh?), I think Checo deserves better that the whole mind games and shitty comments the team allows the press to say, or the way they keep throwing him under the bus over and over. I believe RBR is a toxic enviroment that cost Mark Webber's soul (and only Fernando's love made him smile again) and if there's a chance for Checo to move to a team that really values him, I hope he takes it.
I know that many people think that this behavior is normal for top teams, but I think it's awful. The whole 'if he can't take the heat, he can retire' is such bullshit, I'm annoyed by the continued normalization of abuse and just because he can take it, it doesn't make it right.
Anyway, this wasn't really an ask, but I wanted to clarify that me wanting Checo out of RBR doesn't mean I don't ship Chestappen, on the contrary, now we'll have rivals to lovers, secret relationships and jealous!Max over the new teammate... Chestappen Heaven!
However, if it happens, I'll miss the PR of these two... they're so cute and adorable.

After seeing your post about Christian Horner's interview on SkyF1, I went to see it and I have a crazy theory about this. He kept asking the reporter who she would put there, and when she didn't answer, he said that if there was a better driver, they would have already changed him. What if in the summer they tested Yuki, Liam and Daniel, and none could do the time that Sergio has had so far? That would explain why Dr. Marko is also supporting Perez, although he never agree with having him
There are a lot of conspiracy theories about this, A LOT! Most people criticized Horner because he sounded way to defensive (according to them). To me, he sounded tired of the same shitty question over and over: 'why did you keep Sergio Pérez?'; the fact that the reporter even had the nerve to ask if he was keeping him because of the Mexican GP was so... I have no words.
Whether if they tested the other guys or not, we'll never know, however the way Horner emphasized that there was no other driver for the job was interesting. Also, the RB20 is a shit car, we all can see it, Max and Checo can see it, even the other teams can see it. The only ones in a perpetual state of denial: RBR.
It's such a shame, because Max and Checo are giving their hearts and souls for that team, just to be paid with excuses and faulty settings because they have no idea which way to go with this car from hell (Newey knew and left before this disaster).
Why can't they bring back the RB19? That was an amazing car, I'm sure it can do better than the RB20... but again, I'm no expert and perhaps even the RB19 can't face McLaren's new rocketship.
You know what would be a very funny plot twist? If Max ends up in Mercedes after seeing the RBR chaos, Checo goes to Audi with Nico to be happy and then Gax and Hulkenrez shippers will unite against the evil RBR.

Sergio being ruthless with the media gives me so much joy but I can't help and have a bad feeling about his future, since he is so out of fucks to give. Am I paranoid?
I know, this is a side of him we rarely see, he is usually quiet and collected, I was surprised when he decided to give no shits and just speak his truth.
Honestly? I thought that too, I got the feeling of KMag, who practically said he has nothing to lose, so hell is coming, and with Checo's declarations, I get the same energy. I don't know if something is happening inside RBR, or if he just had enough of being censored... but it was really surprising, he slayed everyone (McLaren, the FIA, the fans inventing narratives, RBR for not listening to him...).
I hope this doesn't mean anything bad for Checo, it would break my heart if he only got this honest because he knew he was going to be screwed over AGAIN!
Want to know my conspiracy theory? if we are playind the paranoid game, then Ricciardo gets Checo's seat, and Checo goes to Mercedes instead of Kimi (who perhaps talked to Toto and told him to wait another year or something), because Checo is pushing for Audi to take Colapinto, so I think that means he isn't considering Audi as an option.
Yes, I know, it's impossible, but one can dream, right?

Checo's time at mclaren was similar to what's happening now, no?
No, not really, for starters, the circumstances were wildy different:
When Checo was in McLaren:
He was a rookie, barely out the nest from Sauber, being teammates with the nicest guy ever (Kamui, how I miss you).
His new teammate was already a world champion (Jenson Button, 2009), and he was clearly the inexperienced for the press.
He was substituting Lewis Hamilton, another already world champion, and fan favorite. Most of the hate Checo received back then was because Hamilton moved on to Mercedes.
McLaren was in the middle of restructuring his cars, and the team was kind of a mess back then. The phrase 'that's why we hired him' was heard so many times in so many interviews...
Finally, Checo never felt part of the team entirely and they fired him like nothing. Checo's dad said that it was the ultimate betrayal for Checo, since he gave everything to be in McLaren and now he was without a seat.
And yes, he was quite hated in his time in McLaren, but mostly because Lewis left and Jenson kept complaining about Checo's driving style. Something that's the same though, when everything went wrong, everyone blamed Checo (still happening with RBR).
However, with RBR (Red Bull Racing), things were like this:
He was more experienced and had more knowledge of developing the cars, Force India and Racing Point always tried to adjust the car to Checo's needs.
Checo was part of one of Horner's teams back in GP2, so Horner knew him and followed his career in F1 (Horner's words).
RBR had problems mantaining a second driver, since the team focused on Max.
Nobody in RBR wanted Checo, except for Horner. They wanted someone from their academy, so Horner had to twist everyone's arm so they could at least consider Checo. This shows that the team didn't exactly received him with open arms.
He knew his job: Secure Max's first championship. That was the goal, he had to be the second driver that helped Max achieve the glory. One time when they interviewed Checo, they asked him about blocking Lewis and Checo said that he knew Lewis would understand because he was doing it for HIS team. He already felt part of the family, even when most didn't want him there.
He was (is) older than Max, more relaxed and also, can take the heat and pressure.
What's the difference? Yes, he was hated in McLaren, but in RBR he's the focus, even more than Max. Almost every news, rumour, post... it's about Checo, or something someone said about him. And the focus is 80% negativity because RBR is a mess team. Always followed by drama.
Oh, and a big, BIG difference, in McLaren, Checo was single and had no kids. In RBR he's married with children, and people has no boundaries by messing with them; imagine being Checo's wife and reading that the press say your husband has 'drug money' or 'mafia money' or other many racists comments.
So no, it's not the same, the hate he gets now is awfully worse. And people don't seem to understand WHY is wrong acting this way.
I still have hope for Checo moving to another team, I know he wants to retire in RBR, but if he goes to Audi (with NICOOOO), or even if I'm right and Otmar brings another team, I think the press will finally let him go and let him race in peace (one can only dream).

From how the tin can car (RB 20) is doing, do you think Max will win the Championship and do you think Red Bull will win the Constructors??
Also, Checo has been saying the car is fucked...
And he is absolutely correct. The car is fucked. That car belongs in the bin.
Oh yes, the RB20 is a shit car, can't even veer and it's so slow! I hate that car with all my soul (sorry, had to get it out off my chest).
I think Max will win the Championship, but it will be like in 2021, down to the last race. Norris seems like he has secured at least the second place, so the real fight will be for third place. I would like to think Checo can get into that fight, but with the shit car I doubt he can manage... I think fourth or fifth.
As for RBR winning the Constructors... honestly, I think they will win, but as a close call with the McLarens and again, down to the last race.
Checo has been complaining, but I think it's too late now for fixing the problem, so they will keep playing around with the car because they have NO CLUE what the hell is wrong with it. I'm pissed because they keep saying everything will be fixed for the next race, and then everything is WAY WORSE. RBR is crumbling and the only thing saving them are Max and Checo trying so hard to fight to stay in the top.
I don't like Horner's speech of 'the next races are Checo's strenght' just because they are street circuits.... he can't do anything if he has a shit car, dammit! Baku is our hope, but if Monza doesn't go well, I don't think he can manage to get good results in Baku.
Here are the options we have for the rest of the season:
They actually get something right with the blasted car and at least can go faster and turn.
Max and Checo give their sweat, tears and blood to keep afloat and at least secure Max's Championship.
The conspiracy theories are actually right, and they start winning again (this theory says that the whole RBR crumbling is actually something they all agreed because people thought RBR killing all the other teams was too boring, but in the end they will bounce back and win everything).
Max decides to take on Toto's offer and Checo goes to Audi (with Nicoooo).
Okay, the last one is just for fun, but it would be so wild.
What do you think? Do they have a chance at this at all?
