Doing YouTube
I have been doing my YouTube for just a year this past May. I am loving doing my channel and I wouldn't have started posting videos on my channel if it wasn't for Robert Meyer Burnett. He told me I should get out there and do something because I have a lot of talent and I recently started doing live streams and I am getting a steady amount of regulars coming to them which is so cool.
The community that I am involved with "The Post Geek Singularity " is so welcoming and so supportive as well. So far I have 144 subs on my channel and over 3,000 views and over 143 hours of watch time, slowly I will get there to become monetized on my channel, I am in no rush because I am enjoying the ride.
You can check out and Subscribe to my channel here :

Th Moonlight Roller get any events going on? Maybe a quiz show or game night?
"I'm glad ya asked! As a matter of fact, there's a big event happenin' reaaaal soon."
Wilford folded his arms smugly, only for confusion to cloud his expression as he reached off-screen to grab a calendar. A quick skim of that restored his confidence.
"Yup. Real soon. Tomorrow, actually! It's New Year's Eve, an' th' Roller is lightin' up with a party. We've got th' rollerskate rink covered up with some fancy sorta carpet an' we're havin' a disco! One of them hootenannies, accordin' to some British fella. But we're gonna do it Warfstache style! I've pestered Yancy fer two full weeks ta perform a song or two, an' put out an offer ta anyone else who wants ta get in on it. We'll have th' diner an' th' arcade open so folks don't hafta dance if they don't wanna. No alcohol, though. Want this friendly fer everyone. That includes no deaths."
Tumblr media
"An' it's not gonna be one of them in-person exclusive doodads! We got an online special fer all you writin' blogs an', ah, curious onlookers. Swing on by an' nab yerself a little gift ta celebrate gettin' ta th' end of th' year. Don't matter yer beliefs or anythin', gettin' this far's a pretty big deal. An' if ya miss it an' arrive in January? Doesn't matter. Ya survived th' jump an' got ta th' right year. Trust me, that's not easy. I once lived through th' whole of 1973 twice. An' that's not mentionin' the times I'd live one day in 2007 an' th' next in 1891."
Tumblr media
"So let's celebrate ya makin' it this far an' that far!"

We join the sofa as Redmayne is doing an anecdote about how his Jackal preparation involved being trained in self-defence, in order to do what Team America would call “his acting”. (Not how Eddie put it, obviously. And yet, the reality.) Redmayne’s revelation that he was shown how to use a phone as a weapon if attacked proves quite the hoot, with Mescal riffing on the absurdity – “Who’s actually going to do that, though?” – Norton chiming in, and Denzel laughing along. Ronan is trying to say something but she gets honked over, before managing to cut through with a line for the ages: “That’s what girls have to think about all the time”.
Marina (off Saoirse's showstopper) hits the spot as usual.

Celebrating those golden moments in 90s chatshows in a silly idea that definitely didn't take me very long at all. I did generate something a bit more 90s hiphop but it had annoyed me so much by the end that I switched it out at random for a vaguely bitch tracky thing. Why did I add drop shadows to everything in MSPaint?!

This whole article is really something but the excerpt below stood out to me.
Their relationship has unequivocally enhanced his profile – and his podcast followers.
The show, named New Heights, which he does with his brother Jason, went from 1.5 million when it launched in 2022 to 11.2 million today. Indeed last week, they signed a deal with Amazon worth more than £80million.
Taylor has quickly immersed herself in the world of NFL, the American football league.
She took centre stage at the Superbowl in February and earlier this week, when the organisation released its promotional video for the forthcoming season, Taylor was the stand out star of the clip.
On Tuesday, in an interview with US chatshow The Rich Eisen Show, Travis told how Taylor ‘creates plays’ for him, meaning – rather astonishingly – she tells him where to run to once he catches the ball.
One sports expert tells me: ‘Imagine when David and Victoria Beckham were at the beginning of their relationship, she’s a Spice Girl and David is playing for Manchester United, and she’s in the Premier League promo video. And then let’s go back and imagine how one of David’s managers would feel if he came out talking about how Victoria was telling him how to do his free kicks, or take his penalties. They would be furious.
‘It is all very odd. It is so strange that they have let a singer be such a big part of the NFL. There has been a suggestion that the league are really happy that Taylor has made the game much more appealing to women.

Meghan: I’m airing my struggle with suicidal thoughts to help others
Duke and Duchess of Sussex appear on US television to publicise project to tackle child safety online
Caroline Davies
Sun 4 Aug 2024 18.41 CEST
The Duchess of Sussex has spoken about her struggles with mental health and suicidal thoughts as she and her husband launched an initiative to tackle child safety online.
Meghan, who revealed in an interview with Oprah Winfrey three years ago that she thought of taking her own life while a working royal, said she hoped by speaking out she could help others.
“When you’ve been through any level of pain or trauma, I believe part of our healing journey – certainly part of mine – is being able to be really open about it,” she said on Sunday in a joint interview with Prince Harry on the US network CBS.
“And you know, I haven’t really scraped the surface on my experience. But I do think that I would never want someone else to feel that way. And I would never want someone else to be making those sort of plans. And I would never want someone else to not be believed.
“So, if me voicing what I have overcome will save someone, or encourage someone in their life to really genuinely check in on them and not assume that the appearance is good, so everything’s OK, then that’s worth it. I’ll take a hit for that.”
The duchess, 43, was speaking as the couple, parents to Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three, launched the Parents’ Network, in association with their Archewell Foundation, to provide an online community and resources to help combat social media harm. The No Child Lost to Social Media campaign was set up after a two-year pilot programme with families whose children had felt the harmful effects of social media.
Prince Harry said the grief these families had suffered could happen to anyone. “We always talk about in the olden days if your kids were under your roof, you knew what they were up to. At least they were safe, right? And now, they could be in the next-door room on a tablet or on a phone and can be going down these rabbit holes. And before you know it, within 24 hours, they could be taking their life.”
In the couple’s 2021 interview with Winfrey, Meghan told the chatshow host: “Look, I was really ashamed to say it at the time, and ashamed to have to admit it to Harry especially, because I know how much loss he suffered. But I knew that if I didn’t say it, that I would do it … and I just didn’t want to be alive any more. That was a clear, real, frightening and constant thought.”
Speaking of the Parents’ Network, she told CBS on Sunday: “I think you have to start somewhere, to look at it through the lens of, ‘What if it was my daughter? What if it was my son? My son, or my daughter who comes home, who are joyful, who I love, and one day, right under my roof, our entire lives change because of something that was completely out of our control?’” She said that, for a parent, the only way to look at the problem was to try to find a solution.
In the UK and Ireland, Samaritans can be contacted on freephone 116 123, or email [email protected] or [email protected]. In the US, you can call or text the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline on 988, chat on 988lifeline.org, or text HOME to 741741 to connect with a crisis counselor. In Australia, the crisis support service Lifeline is 13 11 14. Other international helplines can be found at befrienders.org

Maggie Tabberer
Vogue model who became the face of Australian fashion. The glamorous model also had successful careers as editor, TV presenter and fashion designer, bringing sophistication into Australian homes
Before Instagram influencers and reality show home renovators there was Maggie Tabberer, whose poise and urbane advice on fashion and decorating made her a household name. Known fondly as Maggie T, she has died just days before her 88th birthday.
Tabberer was, quite literally, the face of Australian fashion. Photographed by Lord Snowdon in 1960, she was the first local model to appear on the cover of just-launched Australian Vogue.
But there was much more to Tabberer than beauty.
She was a media pioneer, entrepreneur, fashion designer and television presenter. Her slicked-back hair – and later, elegant headscarves – made her instantly recognisable, and together with her stylish, loose-fitting wardrobe gave her cult-like status among a generation of Australian women brought up to believe you were naked without pantyhose and a girdle.
With a face that launched a thousand products, Tabberer continued to work in the fashion industry after her active modelling days were over. In 1981 she launched a plus-size clothing label, Maggie T, the same year she became fashion editor of the Australian Women’s Weekly where she stayed for 15 years. Television did not escape her sights – Tabberer was so successful she won back-to-back Gold Logies, in 1970 and 1971.
Margaret May Trigar was born in Adelaide on 11 December 1936, the youngest of Alfred and Molly’s five children. At 17, the rebellious teenager married Charles Tabberer, a 35-year-old car dealer, and by 21, she was the restless mother of two daughters, Amanda and Brooke. Walking past a modelling school one day, she signed up for classes and was an instant success. Soon Tabberer was working in Melbourne where she met and fell in love with the renowned German photographer Helmut Newton. Tabberer’s marriage broke down and she and Newton embarked on what she described as “a perfect, lovely” affair.
With her marriage over and Newton now living in Paris, Tabberer embraced new opportunities, moving to Sydney with her daughters. Here she met her second husband and great love, the Italian restaurateur Ettore Prossimo. The couple married in 1967, but later that year their 10-day-old son Francesco died from sudden infant death syndrome.
“You know, you live and go on doing what you’re doing, but you know you’re not joyous. There’s no joy for a long time,” Tabberer said in a 2011 interview.
Since 1964, Tabberer had been a panellist on Beauty and the Beast, a talkshow pitting the views of women against those of men. It was the ideal vehicle for audiences to appreciate the grace and good humour with which Tabberer dealt with her weight – and her sorrow – and in 1967 she was offered her own daily chatshow, Maggie.
Prossimo and Tabberer separated after 17 years of marriage, but reignited their friendship before his death in 1996. Throughout the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s Tabberer continued to appear on television in a range of lifestyle programs. She and her then-partner Richard Zachariah hosted The Home Show on the ABC from 1990 to 1995, when they split up. The couple never professed to be experts, but as they had renovated six of their own homes over six years they had plenty of experience.
Tabberer was made a member of the Order of Australia in 1998 for her services to the fashion industry. The artist Paul Newton twice entered his portraits of her into the Archibald prize, most recently in 2020. Her biography, Maggie, was published in 1999. Contemporary recognition for her contribution to Australian fashion eluded her; in 2019 she was nominated as an Australian fashion laureate, but ultimately overlooked.
In 2016, the happily single Tabberer came out of retirement to appear on the cover of the Weekly and share her thoughts on eight decades of life.
“At 80 I’ve come to my senses about men,” she said. “I’m not going to be getting into bed and taking my clothes off – don’t be ridiculous. I’ve still got a healthy ego.”
Maggie Tabberer was successful both in front of the camera and behind it, as well as in print journalism, design and marketing. Throughout her career, she successfully manoeuvred her personal brand, before anyone had put a name to that art.
Tabberer is survived by her daughters Amanda and Brooke and by her grandson Marco.
🔔 Maggie Tabberer: Born 11 December 1936, died 6 December 2024, aged 87.

fiction podcast rec, if you haven't already heard it: World Gone Wrong (it's still ongoing, but it's structured like a chatshow set at the end of the world :)
I've heard it several times at this point, it's very good
Plant fact: like many popular herbs and spices, garlic's iconic taste is, at least in-part, defensive.
