To the anon who sent me the deviant art link in my inbox
Thanks for letting me know. It's not my da page. My page is CharlotteRay.
I'm not going to reply to your ask since the link is included. I don't want anyone to go to their page and start anything unnecessary.
I've gotten used to people copying my art style or tracing my drawings and recoloring them. It's gotten to a point where I stopped caring.
After awhile, they'll realize that copying or tracing other people's work line for line will only hurt them in the end. In order to develop an art style, you take what you admire most from different artists and combine them all together to make something that truly represents you.
You can look at my current style and notice that I've taken inspiration from disney films, anime, etc, but it doesn't look exactly like someone elses work. That's what illustrators should strive for. My least favorite potential clients are the one's who want me to draw like someone else. They want someone who can produce someone else's work for cheap.
And I'm not that girl.

What other artists (comic artists, fic writers, fanart/illustration) besides WWesver and Mead do you like? I'm guessing Rem' be there too, and maybe Sprinkah?
There are so many talented artists in this fandom. If I started to name the ones I like it would take a while! I’ll toss a few out there, though.@spintherella (Everyone knows her) @akiric (newer Zootopia artist who has made some amazing comics out of my stories) @monoflaxart (Floofiest floofy floof who has every floofed) RareWhoRoastBeast over on DA (Adult, edgy Nick and Judy) CharlotteRay also on DA.Ugh. So many names, so little time! Forgive me anyone I didn’t mention, but I have stories to write and school to attend. Otherwise I would be here all day. :D
