Can you give a summary of all of Burrs kids? idk he had any besides Theo
Oh, he had so many kids. He, like.... collected at-risk children & teenagers.
1. “Chestnutiana”

     There is this very strange story associated with Burr (that I can’t find any additional information on, so it is most likely NOT true—I just find it interesting so I figured I’d mention it), where when Burr allegedly had a child with a woman named Jacataqua. She was the daughter of an Abenaki chief serving as a guide during the Battle of Quebec period of the Revolution.

 There’s very little information about it so to me it kind of just sounds like an attempt to make up a story similar to the Lewis & Clarke Expedition—because their guide was also a Native who had a child during the journey as well. The circumstances are weird because neither the mother OR the child died, but they were split up anyway? Burr & Jacataqua just decided to send her to be raised by this random Scottish soldier that he met on the battle field that offered it?

 Meanwhile she was given a random cabin somewhere in New York. None of the details really make sense & there aren’t any records, but I guess it’s always a possibility given how secretive Burr was. Plus, there is no documented proof connecting him to Mary Emmon’s two children & we have DNA confirmation that he IS their father, so… eh, worth noting.
2. Theodosia Burr
Born in 1783; 1st child with Theodosia Sr. After his wife died, she was arguably Burr’s best friend. As an adult he confided everything to her. Died in 1813 as the result of a ship wreck. The event permanently changed Burr’s demeanor.
3. Augustine James Frederick Prevost
Born 1766; Burr’s stepson from Theo Sr.’s 1st marriage; nicknamed Frederick. Burr tried his hardest to raise him like his own child, but he and Frederick had a bit of a strained relationship (more info about him [HERE.])
4. John Bartow Prevost
Born either 1767 or 1768; Burr’s stepston from Theo Sr.’s 1st marriage; nicknamed Bartow. He and Burr appeared to have a much closer relationship, with Burr using his Vice President status to grant him a position (more info about him [HERE.])
5. Sally Burr
Born in 1785; 2nd child with Theodosia Sr. She died a couple of years later, barely 3 years old. Not quite sure how, but it seemed to be a sort of intestinal/digestive-related problem, so she most likely died of malnutrition or dehydration because of not being able to absorb her food properly.
6. Unnamed Boy
Born [N/A]; 3rd child with Theodosia Sr. Stillborn.
7. Lousia Charlotte
Born 1788; 1st child with Mary Emmons. Mary was an Indian slave (who may have belonged to Theodosia Sr.) who Burr had a longstanding affair with. Why, how, or what the circumstances were remain a mystery.
8. Unnamed Boy
Born [N/A]; 4th child with Theodosia Sr. Stillborn.
9. John Pierre
Born 1792; 2nd child with Mary Emmons.
10. Nathalie de Lage
Born 1782; daughter of French aristocrats that Burr took care of from age 11 to 18 when she immigrated to America during the French Revolution. Theo Jr. & her were extremely close.
11. Susan Reynolds
Born [N/A]; Not Burr’s child (though, apparently there was a rumor at the time that she was); Burr was Maria Reynolds’ divorce lawyer in 1793, and he went out of his way to petition for Susan to get a higher education, spending a lot of his own money as well.
12. John Vanderlyn
A painter who Burr may or may not have met on accident? Burr financed his education.
13. Aaron Columbus Burr
Born 1808; apparently born Aaron Burr Colombe. Worked as a silver/goldsmith & tried to start a freed black colony in Honduras, which is cool. He is referred to in his obituary as “Aaron Burr’s adopted son.”
14. Charles Burdett
Born 1814; died as a young adult (48), but before that he worked as a Postmaster Assistant, an assistant to at least two New York mayors (Westervelt & Kingsland), and wrote at least 10 books. He is referred to in his obituary as “Aaron Burr’s adopted son.”
15. Henry Oscar Taylor
Born 1818; very little information exists, but he is documented to have lived with Burr by at least 1833. Strangely, he was also a Witness when Burr rewrote his will.
16. Sydney Burr (?)

     Born [N/A];Adding a question mark to the name because this name randomly appeared on Burr’s Wikipedia one day (and is now no longer there) & no source I’ve ever read has ever mentioned them. Might as well put it here for future reference.
17. Frances Ann Burr
Born 1827; Most likely not Burr’s biological daughter (as funny as that would be) because Burr was 73. Not unheard of to be virile at that age, just unlikely. Either way, Burr wrote her into his will & claimed her as his daughter.
18. Elizabeth Burr
Born 1833; definitely not his biological daughter, because he was 77 & partially paralyzed waist-down. Either way, she was also written into his will as his daughter.

Who is he.
Ben Bernanke
14th Chair of Federal Reserve
Ben Shalom Bernanke (/bərˈnæŋki/ bər-NANG-kee; born December 13, 1953) is an American economist at the Brookings Institution who served two terms as the 14th Chair of the Federal Reserve, from 2006 to 2014. During his tenure as chair, Bernanke oversaw the Federal Reserve's response to the late-2000s financial crisis, for which he was named the 2009 Time Person of the Year. Before becoming Federal Reserve chair, Bernanke was a tenured professor at Princeton University and chaired the department of economics there from 1996 to September 2002, when he went on public service leave.
Quick Facts 14th Chair of the Federal Reserve, President ...
From August 5, 2002, until June 21, 2005, he was a member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, proposed the Bernanke Doctrine, and first discussed "the Great Moderation" — the theory that traditional business cycles have declined in volatility in recent decades through structural changes that have occurred in the international economy, particularly increases in the economic stability of developing nations, diminishing the influence of macroeconomic (monetary and fiscal) policy.
Bernanke then served as chairman of President George W. Bush's Council of Economic Advisers before President Bush nominated him to succeed Alan Greenspan as chairman of the United States Federal Reserve. His first term began February 1, 2006. Bernanke was confirmed for a second term as chairman on January 28, 2010, after being renominated by President Barack Obama, who later referred to him as "the epitome of calm." His second term ended January 31, 2014, when he was succeeded by Janet Yellen on February 3, 2014.
Bernanke wrote about his time as chairman of the Federal Reserve in his 2015 book, The Courage to Act, in which he revealed that the world's economy came close to collapse in 2007 and 2008. Bernanke asserts that it was only the novel efforts of the Fed (cooperating with other agencies and agencies of foreign governments) that prevented an economic catastrophe greater than the Great Depression.
Family and childhood
Bernanke was born in Augusta, Georgia, and was raised on East Jefferson Street in Dillon, South Carolina. His father Philip was a pharmacist and part-time theater manager. His mother Edna was an elementary school teacher. Bernanke has two younger siblings. His brother, Seth, is a lawyer in Charlotte, North Carolina. His sister, Sharon, is a longtime administrator at Berklee College of Music in Boston.
The Bernankes were one of the few Jewish families in Dillon and attended Ohav Shalom, a local synagogue; Bernanke learned Hebrew as a child from his maternal grandfather, Harold Friedman, a professional hazzan (service leader), shochet, and Hebrew teacher. Bernanke's father and uncle owned and managed a drugstore they purchased from Bernanke's paternal grandfather, Jonas Bernanke.
Jonas Bernanke was born in Boryslav, Austria-Hungary (today part of Ukraine), on January 23, 1891. He immigrated to the United States from Przemyśl, Poland, and arrived at Ellis Island, aged 30, on June 30, 1921, with his wife Pauline, aged 25. On the ship's manifest, Jonas's occupation is listed as "clerk" and Pauline's as "doctor med".
The family moved to Dillon from New York in the 1940s. Bernanke's mother gave up her job as a schoolteacher when her son was born and worked at the family drugstore. Ben Bernanke also worked there sometimes.
Young adult
As a teenager, Bernanke worked construction on a hospital and waited tables at a restaurant at nearby South of the Border, a roadside attraction, amusement park and fireworks retailer, in his hometown of Dillon, before leaving for college. To support himself throughout college, he continued to work during the summers at South of the Border.
Religion
As a teenager in the 1960s, Bernanke would help roll the Torah scrolls in his local synagogue. Although he keeps his beliefs private, his friend Mark Gertler, chairman of New York University's economics department, says they are "embedded in who he (Bernanke) is." Once Bernanke was at Harvard for his freshman year, Fellow Dillon native Kenneth Manning took him to Brookline for Rosh Hashanah services.
Education
Bernanke was educated at East Elementary, J.V. Martin Junior High, and Dillon High School, where he was class valedictorian and played saxophone in the marching band. Since Dillon High School did not offer calculus at the time, Bernanke taught it to himself. Bernanke scored 1590 out of 1600 on the SAT and was a National Merit Scholar. He also was a contestant in the 1965 National Spelling Bee.
Bernanke attended Harvard College in 1971, where he lived in Winthrop House, as did the future CEO of Goldman Sachs, Lloyd Blankfein, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa with an A.B. degree, and later with an A.M. in economics summa cum laude in 1975. He received a Ph.D. degree in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1979 after completing and defending his dissertation, Long-Term Commitments, Dynamic Optimization, and the Business Cycle. Bernanke's thesis adviser was the future governor of the Bank of Israel, Stanley Fischer, and his readers included Irwin S. Bernstein, Rüdiger Dornbusch, Robert Solow, and Peter Diamond of MIT and Dale Jorgenson of Harvard.
Personal life
Ben and Anna Bernanke
Bernanke met his wife, Anna, a schoolteacher, on a blind date. She was a student at Wellesley College, and he was in graduate school at MIT.[citation needed] The Bernankes have two children, Joel and Alyssa. He is an ardent fan of the Washington Nationals baseball team, and frequently attends games at Nationals Park.
When Bernanke left Stanford to accept a position at Princeton, he and his family moved to Montgomery Township, New Jersey, in 1985, where Bernanke's children attended the local public schools. Bernanke served for six years as a member of the board of education of the Montgomery Township School District.
In 2009, The Wall Street Journal reported that Bernanke was a victim of identity theft, a spreading crime the Federal Reserve has for years issued warnings about.
Academic and government career (1979–2006)
Bernanke meeting with United States President Barack Obama.
Bernanke taught at the Stanford Graduate School of Business from 1979 until 1985, was a visiting professor at New York University and went on to become a tenured professor at Princeton University in the Department of Economics. He chaired that department from 1996 until September 2002, when he went on public service leave. He resigned his position at Princeton July 1, 2005.
Bernanke served as a member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System from 2002 to 2005. In one of his first speeches as a Governor, entitled "Deflation: Making Sure It Doesn't Happen Here", he outlined what has been referred to as the Bernanke Doctrine.
As a member of the board of governors of the Federal Reserve System on February 20, 2004, Bernanke gave a speech in which he postulated that we are in a new era called the Great Moderation, where modern macroeconomic policy has decreased the volatility of the business cycle to the point that it should no longer be a central issue in economics.
In June 2005, Bernanke was named chairman of President George W. Bush's Council of Economic Advisers, and resigned as Fed Governor. The appointment was largely viewed as a test run to ascertain if Bernanke could be Bush's pick to succeed Greenspan as Fed chairman the next year. He held the post until January 2006.
Chairman of the United States Federal Reserve
Bernanke testifying before the House Financial Services Committee responding to a question on February 10, 2009.
On February 1, 2006, Bernanke began a fourteen-year term as a member of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors and a four-year term as chairman (after having been nominated by President Bush in late 2005). By virtue of the chairmanship, he sat on the Financial Stability Oversight Board that oversees the Troubled Asset Relief Program. He also served as chairman of the Federal Open Market Committee, the System's principal monetary policy making body.
His first months as chairman of the Federal Reserve System were marked by difficulties communicating with the media. An advocate of more transparent Fed policy and clearer statements than Greenspan had made, he had to back away from his initial idea of stating clearer inflation goals as such statements tended to affect the stock market. Maria Bartiromo disclosed on CNBC comments from their private conversation at the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner. She reported that Bernanke said investors had misinterpreted his comments as indicating that he was "dovish" on inflation. He was sharply criticized for making public statements about Fed direction, which he said was a "lapse in judgment."
Financial crisis of 2007–2008
Bernanke (left) in September 2008 as President Bush speaks about the economy
Further information: Financial crisis of 2007–08
As the Great Recession deepened, Bernanke oversaw some unorthodox measures. Under his guidance, the Fed lowered its funds interest rate from 5.25% to 0.0% within less than a year. When this was considered insufficient to abate the liquidity crisis, the Fed initiated quantitative easing, creating $1.3 trillion from November 2008 to June 2010 and using the created money to buy financial assets from banks and from the government.
Second term
Bernanke answers questions in 2013 at FOMC press conference
On August 25, 2009, President Obama announced he would nominate Bernanke to a second term as chairman of the Federal Reserve. In a short statement on Martha's Vineyard, with Bernanke standing at his side, Obama said Bernanke's background, temperament, courage and creativity helped to prevent another Great Depression in 2008.

Benjamin Osorio, another lawyer representing women in the Irwin County facility, said two of his clients received hysterectomies that they believe may have been unnecessary.
One of the women, who is of child-bearing age, was told she needed to have a hysterectomy after Amin found ovarian cysts, Osorio said. She was advised that they were cancerous, but her records indicate she was not given a biopsy to confirm the cancer, he said. In another case, he said, his client was told she had stage 4 cervical cancer and would need a hysterectomy and chemotherapy. But after her hysterectomy, an oncologist in Charlotte said she did not have cancer, according to Osorio.
Another lawyer, Sarah Owings, said she has heard of many women who are told they have ovarian cysts that need to be removed or drained.
At this point in time, there are multiple lawyers with clients coming forward regarding reproductive health medical abuses during detainment at ICE (up to and including hysterectomies that were performed without cause and consent). The linked article details both the human rights abuses and timeline of the case(s). Content warning for discussion of the abuse within the article.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear Ms. Pelosi:
I write to you out of utter disdain! You are as despicable and un-American as the traitor Jane Fonda.
I am a soon to be a 75 year-old who has voted in every state and local election since 1966. I have voted for both Republicans and Democrats alike. I have worked on campaigns for both Republicans and Democrats, white and black. I served the country that I love in Vietnam, as my son did in the Middle East . I was awarded two bronze stars. I have been involved in politics since age 6 when my father was campaign manager for a truly great American Congressman, Charles Raper Jonas, who worked for his constituents and his country, and was to be admired, unlike you.
You obviously haven't read the Constitution recently, if ever, the Federalist Papers, or even David McCulloughs book on John Adams. You ought to take the time while riding around in your government provided luxury executive jet to do just that. You represent Socialistic and even Marxist principals that our founding fathers tried to avoid when setting out the capitalistic republican form of government represented by our Constitution.
I find it interesting that you and your husband are multi-millionaires with much of your fortune being made as a result of your public service. You have controlled legislation that has enhanced your husband's investments both on and off shore. At the same time you redistributed the wealth of others. Our system of a free market economy is being destroyed by the likes of you. You ride around in a Gulfstream airplane at the tax payers expense while criticizing the presidents of companies who produced something for the economy. You add nothing to the economy of the United States; you only subtract therefrom.
I would like to suggest that you return to the city of fruitcakes and nuts and eat your husband's canned tuna and pineapple - produced by illegal immigrants and by workers who have been excluded from the protection that 90% of the legal workers in the United States have.
I await your defeat in the next election with glee...
Don’t ever use the term un-American again for protesters who love this country and are exercising their rights upon which this country was founded. By the way, while I served in the Army, I was spit on by the same type of lunatics who support you and who you probably supported in the 60s and 70s. You are an embarrassment to all of us who served so that you would have the protected right of free speech to call us un-American. But at the same time, I have the right to write you to notify you that I consider you to be un-American, as do the majority of the people of this formerly great country. You are a true disgrace to most of the people who served this country by offering themselves for public service in the United States Congress.
I feel certain your aides will not share this letter with you, but I intend to share it with many...
Let's help this man fulfill his 'commitment' to Pelosi
by forwarding his thoughts!
North Carolina’s Youngest State Senator Wants Asian Americans ‘To Write Our Own Narrative’
Every week during May’s Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, HuffPost’s #UpNext Series will highlight Asian Americans who are on the rise in public service. This is part one.
Not every elected official jokes about disappointing their parents “because I ended up becoming a lawyer” or shares what they’ve learned from “Asian uncles,” but North Carolina state Sen. Mujtaba Mohammed does.
“Every Asian uncle talks about how they came with, like, $20 in their wallet,” the Democratic lawmaker told HuffPost, referring to how children of immigrants often grow up hearing their parents and family friends recount the hardships of adapting to the U.S. “My dad has that same stereotypical story that most Asian parents always tell their kids.”
At 33, Mohammed is North Carolina’s youngest state senator, representing parts of Charlotte in a region often seen as a monolith, yet home to the fastest-growing Asian-American population in the U.S.
Elected last year after ousting an incumbent in the Democratic primary, Mohammed — like many of the record number of people of color who ran for office in 2018 —  saw the election of President Donald Trump as “a huge motivating factor,” he said.
“Donald Trump came along in 2016, and I felt like I needed to step up and do more for our community. A lot of folks, at least in my age group and other kids I grew up around, they ended up becoming doctors and engineers. Political activism is something that’s not very important, unfortunately, sometimes in our community,” he said.
Born in Ohio to parents from Hyderabad, India, Mohammed grew up in Greenville, South Carolina, and Charlotte. His dad worked in retail while his mom raised him and his siblings.
Though his parents pushed him toward medicine and engineering, seeing those fields as markers of success, Mohammed credits their focus on family and community as inspiration for his career in public service.
He noted that in many Asian cultures, “it’s never about you, as opposed to the American individualism that we have,” he said. “It’s always about a team, it’s always about your family. You oftentimes have to make your own personal sacrifices for the good of the family. And that’s kind of how I’ve always, at least as an adult, tried to live my life. It’s part of the reason why I decided to run for office.”
Initially a biology major at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Mohammed switched to history and political science before going on to law school.
In diverging from the career paths of many of his doctor/engineer peers, he also saw similarities, envisioning “lawyers as social engineers,” he said. “You get to use the Constitution to protect some of the most vulnerable communities.”
