the seb “pretty” thing is fascinating to me because of two things:

either he purposefully asked it because he knew charles would “bluescreen”

if he didn’t ask that on purpose to fluster charles, who would seb have considered pretty or not to figure out who charles person was?? like what information did he gain from asking that??

I’m glad I’m not the only one kept up at night by this…because like, there was zero reason for Seb to ask it. He was 100% asking it to cause mayhem either way, but still implies precedent, implies Charles and Seb have at least discussed in passing how good-looking some drivers are, at least enough for Seb to know who Charles would choose. I’m genuinely curious who Seb would’ve chosen to keep if Charles had answered “yes” and how quickly he would’ve guessed Max.

Charles’s reaction in itself though…it merits a whole other essay. The way his leg tapping increases, then stills as he focuses, then increases again, the fidgeting, the way he adjusts his mask and quickly denies that he can’t possibly call another man pretty because “I’m a man”. Seb jumped in to save him instead of forcing him to answer the question but watching Charles be forced to consider for what is probably the first time in his life whether he finds Max pretty or not is a TREAT. Someone free this man from the panicked realisation that his childhood nemesis has beautiful eyes.
