Ebay Introduces Livestream Shopping in the UK

Online marketplace Ebay will host its first live-streamed shopping event in the UK on 1 May.

The interactive livestream will be hosted by comedian Katherine Ryan and the retailer’s beloved style director, Amy Bannerman, and will feature a variety of looks from Ryan’s wardrobe.

Viewers will be able to shop Ryan’s favorite fashion pieces in real time, including outfits she’s worn on stage during her comedy shows and on the red carpet for Netflix show ‘The Her Duchess’. All money raised will be donated to the Women’s Health Information and Support Center charity.

All items will be available as “buy now” through vintage retailer Messina Hembry’s Ebay store, along with their own selection of pre-owned items, from sequin dresses to blazers oversized and statement bomber jackets.

The Ebay Live launch event will also feature archive pieces, including Tasha Ghouri’s final dress from Love Island’s wardrobe provided by Bannerman.

Ahead of the event, Ryan said in a statement: “I’ve always loved playing around with clothes and am known for my style so I’m really excited to be partnering with eBay to clean out my wardrobe . Pre-loved fashion sales fees.

“I always dress well for events and am an avid buyer and seller on eBay to find precious fashion items.”

This follows news earlier this month when Ebay announced it would be removing fees for individual sellers of used clothes in a bid to encourage more circular shopping across the UK.

There is news articles and stories for decades about how he orders goods and services and products that are custom made just for him and he doesn't pay for them .

Many businesses have gone bankrupt or almost from his bullshit.

He s a liar. He s a known liar. A terrible human being. A shitty business man . A thief.

His charity was shut down because he was stealing from it.

When he was president. Of these united states. He did almost nothing. Except make himself rich.

He sowed dissent among the unsatisfied and content alike.

He pushed his nazis esque agenda onto the Country and allowed the worst of us to feel emboldened to come out into the light to shit their vile hatred upon the land.

He decreased Our standing among The World and damaged The United States ' reputation.

He fucked up our relationships with other countries.

He did damage to this Country and to The World that might never be repaired or fixed.

He stood idle , as a virus that killed millions ran rampant through the land .

As president ... he could have spoken to the whole land and all her people and encouraged everyone. He could have just let fauci ( who had decades of experience dealing with pandemic situations to handle the problem ) do his job.

But trump couldn't be bothered.

It s on his head that we all lost those 3 years.

Its on his head that a million people died from covid ( and some medical professionals say its more like 4million people. )

He didn't do anything . He washed his hands of it all.

He gave stupid advice on how to deal with the virus.

And even when he got covid ( and had the best medical care in t he whole world to help his old ass ) he did nothing but hinder the cdc s and fauci's ability to get things ameliorated.

His presidency was a grift. Like all the things he has ever done in his life ... his presidency was a joke and it was just there to make him money.

But. Of all the horrible and terrible things he has done... of all his crimes ...thee arguably worst is:

He stole classified documents and sold them to either the Russians ( or ) some other power. And got cia operatives killed .

Like the plot of a mission impossible movie...

This chucklefuctchucklefuck stole the Goddamn NOC list to our secret agents and gave it or sold it to a foreign power or foreign powers and got undercover c.i.a. agents killed.

This alone should put him in prison.

He betrayed this country on multiple levels . Multiple times .

He has committed treason against The USA and her people.

And he should receive the death penalty for what he has done.

How is he already not in prison.

And I can not forgive any one who voted for him or was for him.

And I do not know how repbz can still be for this guy.

Why is Israel a developed country, and why are we still developing?

I am not a very good writer or author. But one day, I sat down to write my thoughts,

Think about it, some irrelevant ideas and questions are starting to get very annoying these days, like:

· Why is Israel a developed country, and why are we growing?

· Why does he have so many resources that he is selling the world and we are just borrowing?

· Are they still a chosen nation, and our share is limited to the "promise of intercession"?

When I started drowning in these and many other questions, I resorted to Google, proving to be very strong.

Both are Abrahamic religions

Believe in one God

To worship him

To be cleansed

make ablution

To do charity

Slaughtering and eating animals

Don't eat pork

Circumcision

Believing that jinn are God's creation

Don't recognize a relationship without marriage

On the coming of the Messiah before the resurrection

Believing in the reckoning on the Day of Resurrection

Thinking in the same way of being resurrected after death (being made back from the tail bone)

And if the money came in the bag and then the education system of London, Europe and America would look fine, then very few children are getting an education from these modern madrassas.

After madrassas, school and college education is also in an awful condition in our country. An example of our education system is termite infested wood. We memorize it. But the same child cannot write 5 to 10 lines on any subject other than these.

Curriculum and the practical world are two different things; there is no match between them; education is so expensive that if one leaves with a degree, he is worried about "recovering his investment" first.

And after all, the sad thing is that 44.5% of children go to high school; 55 out of every 100 children do not go to school.

Season 2 of TRANSMISSIONS will run as eight weekly episodes screening every Wednesday at 9 pm BST and repeated on Friday at 9 am BST on Twitch. The 1st episode will air on 9th of September 2020. Each artist included in TRANSMISSIONS is paid a fee in return for their contribution. In some instances, artists have waived their fees in order to donate the money to a charity of their choice. With a sense of community, all the money used to pay artists in season 2 has been kindly donated by established art institutions and commercially stable artists.

Season 2 is funded and supported by BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, Chisenhale Gallery, DACS, Grazer Kunstverein, Matt's Gallery, Studio Oscar Murillo, Netwerk Aalst, Somerset House Studios and Wysing Arts Centre.

Kat Anderson will show a collection of audio/visual notes on oppression, Black liberation and the white imagination.

Kat Anderson is a visual artist and filmmaker, working under an artistic and research framework called ‘Episodes of Horror’, which uses the genre of horror to discuss representations of mental illness and trauma as experienced by or projected upon Black bodies in media.

Plastique Fantastique is a collaboration between David Burrows, Simon O’Sullivan, Alex Marzeta and Vanessa Page and others, including Mark Jackson, Motsonian, Benedict Drew, Frankie Roberts, Harriet Skully, Ana Benlloch, Stuart Tait, Tom Clark, Simon Davenport, Joe Murray, Lawrence Leaman, Samudradaka and Aryapala. The collaboration is a performance fiction produced through comics, performances, text, music, film and assemblages, and investigates the relation of aesthetics and politics and sacred, popular and mass cultures. Recent exhibitions include Shonky: Aesthetics of Awkwardness, Hayward Touring Show 2017-18, and Mars Year Zero at Southwark Park Galleries 2019.

Less than a year after the UK's traumatic General Election, after a pandemic that would surely have been far better handled if the principles of communality and solidarity had been at the heart of government, Juliet Jacques presents a selection of films that mostly look back at socialist politics and culture. Starting with comrade John Smith's film made in response to the Covid-19 crisis, and the government's chaotic communications, these films - by Jasmina Cibic, Octavia Cortázar, the Duvet Brothers, Deimantas Narkevičius, Oleksiy Radynski, Kerry Tribe and others - engage creatively with ideology and art in Yugoslavia, the USSR, Cuba, the UK and beyond.

Juliet Jacques (b. 1981) is a writer and filmmaker, based in London. She has published two books, most recently Trans: A Memoir (Verso, 2015). Her short fiction, journalism and essays have appeared in numerous publications including The Guardian, Granta, Frieze, Sight & Sound, Wire, New York Times, 3:AM, The New Inquiry, Arts of the Working Class, London Review of Books and elsewhere. Her short films have screened in galleries and festivals worldwide. She has taught art and creative writing at the Royal College of Art and other institutions, and hosts the political arts podcast Suite (212).

Lawrence Abu Hamdan is a “Private Ear”. His interest with sound and its intersection with politics originate from his background as a touring musician and facilitator of DIY music. The artists audio investigations has been used as evidence at the UK Asylum and Immigration Tribunal and as advocacy for organisations such as Amnesty International and Defence for Children International together with fellow researchers from Forensic Architecture.

Abu Hamdan completed his PhD in 2017 from Goldmsiths College University of London and is currently a fellow at the Gray Centre for Arts and Inquiry at the University of Chicago

Abu Hamdan has exhibited his work at the 58th Venice Biennale, the 11th Gwanju Biennale, the 22nd Sydney Biennial and the 13th and 14th Sharjah Biennial, Witte De With, Rotterdam, Tate Modern Tanks,  Chisenhale Gallery,  Hammer Museum L.A, Portikus Frankfurt, The Showroom, London and Casco, Utrecht. His works are part of collections at MoMA, Guggenheim, Van AbbeMuseum, Centre Pompidou and Tate Modern. Abu Hamdan’s work has been awarded the 2019  Edvard Munch Art Award, the 2016 Nam June Paik Award for new media and in 2017 his film Rubber Coated Steel won the Tiger short film award at the Rotterdam International Film festival.  For the 2019 Turner Prize Abu Hamdan, together with nominated artists Helen Cammock, Oscar Murillo and Tai Shani, formed a temporary collective in order to be jointly granted the award.

BBZ present a snapshot into queer Black British archives, memes that shaped us and a re- imagined queertopia. BBZ is a Black Queer Art & DJ collective raised in London with roots in nightlife and clubbing culture, working to challenge institutionalised and post colonial behaviours. We prioritise the experiences of Black queer womxn, femmes, trans folk and non binary people in all aspects of our work, providing physical and online spaces for this specific community.

Deep Deep Dream is a journey through the techniques of awakening taking the hallucinogenic form of a palindrome. Unfolding through a series of experimental rituals, this encounter is an invitation to touch the dreamworld — a place where no matter how far you walk, you arrive back at your point of departure — and a meditation on these questions: What kind of world do you want to live in? What is a world? 

Ignota Books is an invitation to awaken, and at the same time, dream. Founded in the last days of 2017 in the Peruvian mountains by Sarah Shin and Ben Vickers, Ignota publishes at the intersection of technology, myth-making and magic. Deriving our name from Hildegard of Bingen’s mystical Lingua Ignota, we seek to develop a language that makes possible the reimagining and reenchantment of the world around us.

Anne Duffau

is a cultural producer, researcher, and founder of A---Z, an exploratory/nomadic curatorial platform exploring artistic practices and knowledge exchange through collaborations, presentations, soundscapes, screenings and discussions. She has collaborated with a range of projects and organisations including ArtLicks, Southwark Park Galleries, Mimosa House and Danielle Arnaud Gallery, London Please Stand By, or-bits .com, PAF Olomouc Czech Republic & Tenderflix. Anne has previously run the StudioRCA Riverlight, London programme (2016-2018) and is currently the interim curator at Wysing Arts Center, a Tutor at the School of Arts and Humanities, and is the acting Lead in Critical Practice, within the Royal College of Art’s Contemporary Art Practice Programme. She has performed live music under Alpha through a number of projects and collaborations.

Hana Noorali

is an independent curator and writer based in London. In 2019 she was selected (together with Lynton Talbot) to realise an exhibition at The David Roberts Foundation as part of their annual curator’s series. She curated Lisson Presents at Lisson Gallery, London from 2017-2018 and from 2017 -2019, produced and presented the podcast series Lisson ON AIR. In 2018 Hana edited a monograph on the work of artist and Benedictine Monk, Dom Sylvester Houédard. Its release coincided with an exhibition of his work at Lisson Gallery, New York that she co-curated with Matt O’Dell. In 2007, she co-founded a non-profit project space and curatorial collective called RUN active until 2011. In 2020 Hana and her curatorial partner Lynton Talbot will be publishing an anthology that examines the intersection of poetry and film with (p) (prototype).

Tai Shani

is an artist living and working in London. She is the joint 2019 Turner Prize winner together with Lawrence Abu Hamdan, Helen Cammock and Oscar Murillo. In 2019 Tai was a Max Mara prize nominee. Her work has been shown at Turner Contemporary, UK (2019); Grazer Kunst Verein, Austria (2019); Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Italy (2019); Glasgow International, UK (2018); Wysing Arts Centre, UK (2017); Serpentine Galleries, London (2016); Tate, London (2016); Yvonne Lambert Gallery, Berlin (2016) and Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin (2016).

Mirage x octane hcs??

• Besides the fact they were practically made for each other... actually yeah they were made for each other end sentence. Like their personalities, traits, and even playstyle combined into one. It was bound to happen eventually.

• You heard the season 2 trailer, Octane thinks Mirage is perfect, and yes Mirage knows this. At first, Elliot thought it was just a joke like all the others, but then Octavio came to him after the match and said, "Hey, get dinner with me mi amor? Oh, and sorry for kicking you in the face."

• Elliot Witt knows how to cook, he insisted that he cook for their date. It was a simple meal, lasagna and garlic bread, but somehow Mirage made it as good as a 5 star restaurant. And Octane was sure to tell him that.

• Since Mirage is the lobby's bartender, he knows of tons of tricks to entertain while making the drinks. Octane finds that so cool (and hot). So... he tries to do his own tricks. Octane is now on "parole", he's only allowed to watch from a distanc, any ordered drinks must be brought to him, and all glasses must be plastic instead of glass. Every beverage Elliot delivers includes a cheek kiss.

• Since Octane has a large following and Mirage is a lobby favorite, they'll do charity streams. Usually they're on opposite teams, but for this special occasion, it's Octane, Mirage, and Lifeline, another lobby favorite. Octane carries a GoPro strapped to his vest as they play a match. They always surpass their charity goal.

• Most of the time, they're on opposite teams. And may the Allfather bless their teammates because it's absolute hell. They're constantly trying to one-up each other, causing constant facepalms from everyone else. If one kills the other, they won't let it down for the entire night.

• Most of their public affection is very quick. So fast you'd blink and miss it. To be honest, it's hard to really put thought into you affection when your getting shot at or shooting your boyfriend anyway (then they just do air kisses). In their dorm is where the kisses get more passionate and they can actually cuddle each other.

• They have never missed the Saturday morning cartoons. Octane gets up before Mitage and makes either chocolate chip pancakes, bacon and eggs, or cereal. Then he rushes Mirage up while Octavio chugs down breakfast and Elliot falls back asleep on the couch.

She and Octavio, both challenging gyms, have a friendly rivalry going on

Bloodhound

From Johto

A very mysterious character with a preference for honourable pokemon

Gibraltar and Ajay have no idea of this trainer’s background, but they’re always grateful for the assistance Bloodhound lends

They and their pokemon make a team of talented trackers, and it makes Gibraltar and Ajay’s jobs of finding and helping pokemon and people stuck in natural disasters much easier

Still, they are dedicated to Arceus above all else

Crypto

Rotom (Partner), Dedenne

idk i’ll decide on his story when he gets released in game

Caustic

Wheezing (Partner), Vileplum, Dustox

From Galar

He’s a scientist that wanted to develop the use of poison types but his work was deemed unethical and thus he was fired

however he found that a number of shady organisations were very interested in his work, and so he continued his research

His Wheezing is not a Galarian form despite Alexander being from Galar - it didn’t mesh with his evil scientist aesthetic

Gibraltar

Hariyama (Partner), Aegislash, Aggron

From Alola

His parents were Pokemon Rangers, and he grew up to follow in their footsteps - usually a ranger has just the one partner pokemon, but Aegislash and Aggron just never really left his side

He met his partner pokemon the same day he decided to become a pokemon Ranger; he and his boyfriend got caught in a mudslide, and when his parents came to the rescue, a Makuhita - a pokemon known for it’s tenacity - decided it would try to help

Lifeline

Absol (Partner), Togetic, Chansey

From Unova

When she found out her parents were making some deals with some dodgy organisations, she left the life of wealth she lead in urban Unova in favour of doing humanitarian work with pokemon around the world

Her team consists of pokemon that’d help in rescue situations (Absol can predict natural disasters, Togetic is said to bring good fortune and happiness, Chansey shares its eggs with those who are injured)

Was close friends with Octavio as children, but they grew apart as their paths diverged in adulthood. She still supports his pursuits, though, and he regularly donates to the charities she works with

Gets on well with Gibraltar, they’ve worked together on a number of occasions - Makoa specialises in dealing with the overarching issue, while Ajay helps any injured people or pokemon.

Mirage

Zoroark (partner), Vulpix, Mime Jr, Mawile

From Hoenn

His older brothers all left to go on their pokemon journeys years before he did. Elliott and his mother worked together on holographic tech for entertainment purposes, taking inspiration from the various pokemon that used illusions

He wanted to go on his own journey, but didn’t want to leave his mother alone. His mother’s Zoroark had an egg though, and she gave it to Elliott. The Zorua that hatched from it became his partner.

Most of his pokemon come from the fact that he’s a big softie at heart. Vulpix are known to feign injury to fool enemies and escape, which he thought was really cool. Mime Jr was practising its mimicking skills, Elliott complimented it, and it just completely forgot what it was doing it was so happy and so Elliott immediately took it under his wing. Mawile looks cute but it’s also terrifying and will kick your ass and Elliott just had to have it

He generally takes the route of a battle trainer, but he entered a pokemon contest once on a whim and completely dominated, much to Zoroark’s glee

One day while travelling through Johto he ran into an Espurr - a pokemon with a creept stare that wasn’t native to the region - that scared the shit out of him. He’d never admit it, but the fact that its trainer saw so easily through his pokemon’s illusions also kinda intimidated him

In Unova, he came across the same Espurr, except now it had evolved into a Meowstic. Similarly, his Zorua had now evolved into a Zoroark. He challenged the trainer to a battle and found her psychic type pokemon were at interesting match against his pokemon that specialised in trickery.

The match was observed by some really tall, lanky, excitable guy with an Ambipom and a Cubone. The three trainers coincidentally spent the night at the same pokecentre, and they just didn’t really part ways in the morning.

Also one time when he was drunk, Elliott was flirting with someone and that trainer’s Gourgeist attacked him. It was funny, and the trainer apologised, but he’s also lowkey been afraid of the entire evolutionary line ever since (Wraith and Pathfinder found out when one day, while they were at a pokecentre, Elliott turned around, saw a Pumpkaboo, and screamed)

Octane

Linoone (Partner), Zebstrika

From Unova

He grew up as a rich kid in urban Unova, but with busy CEOs for parents, he often found himself bored

As a kid, a Zigzagoon caught his attention while on a business trip with his family, and he ended up catching it

He and the pokemon got along famously, and when it evolved into a Linoone - the rushing pokemon - he found his taste for adrenaline evolving alongside it

He began to grow distant from his childhood friend Ajay at this time, but he still recognised how important her work was so he supports her whenever he can

Now he partakes in gym battles, the occasional contest (usually due to a friendly rivalry between him and one Elliott Witt), and regular death defying stunts with his high speed pokemon team

He lost his legs in an accident involving a race and a misuse of pokemon moves

He’s got a good few fans as a result of the videos he makes, but he can always count on Ajay, Natalie, and Anita to keep him grounded

He’s got a knack for convincing people to take a risk - it’s how he got Natalie and Anita to go on their own journeys to find what they want from life

Pathfinder

Ambipom (Partner), Cubone

From Unova

He was an orphan with a desire to see the world (and maybe find out the story behind his birth parents along the way)

His first pokemon was an Aipom whose mobility he admired greatly. He has a Cubone because he found it crying and, as an orphan himself, he cared deeply for its loss

He isn’t quite sure what he wants from life, but being a pokemon professor and learning about the world sounds pretty good to him

Near the start of his journey, he was staying in a pokecentre and ended up being the referee for a pokemon battle

When morning came, those two same trainers looked a little lost (though they’d never admit it), and as he himself was brilliant with directions, he ended up offering to show them around the region

But they ended up sticking together long after that

Wattson

Morpeko (Partner), Plusle, Minun, Luxio

From Kalos

Worked closely with her father researching ways in which electric types and people can work together and how those relations could be utilised

She and her father raised an unruly Shinx that was very uncooperative, but one day it accidentally electrocuted her (causing the scar on her face), and it was the guilt it felt that caused it to finally clean up its act

When he passed away, she inherited her father’s Electabuzz. At first, she wouldn’t necessarily consider the pokemon a part of her team, but more of a family member that still assists in her work, though this changed when she started her journey

Met Octavio when he was participating in a competition at an arena she had previously done work on. Her father had just passed, and Octavio convinced her that she should give going on a pokemon journey a go to try and fill the void that had been left behind

She met Anita when Octavio was challenging a gym. Anita, sister of the gym leader, got to talking with the pair, and decided to tag along on their journey

Wraith

Gothitelle (Partner), Meowstic, Abra

From Johto

She has amnesia, and woke with nothing but a psychic type pokemon leaning over her in an abandoned lab

Gothitelle is particularly protective of her, as a pokemon that can predict the future and can become aware of their trainer’s lifespan. This was the pokemon fawning over her when she awoke with no memory

Abra can read minds and sense danger, teleporting away when it feels threatened. Sometimes Wraith wishes she had the same ability - the two felt a kinship and it joined her team. She caught Espurr because it’s the restraint pokemon - she personally felt restrained by her lack of memories - and she was kinda fond of how weird and creepy it sorta was

The Espurr scared the shit outta one trainer she met while she was still in Johto - to be fair, it was staring at him weirdly

She ran into him again in Unova. Her Abra - despite being terrified of everyone they met - never once tried to teleport away from him, so in the morning when he invited her to join him and some makeshift tour-guide, on a whim she said yes

All of her pokemon seemed happy with the decision, so she decided that maybe she should stick around in this trio
