TL;DR: here you can get a Spock paper doll printout for free or make the world a better place and do something nice in return.

I've been thinking of ways to sell digital stuff like stickers and paper dolls online, but there's one problem: because of where I live, I can't seem to find a way to actually get money from people all around the world. Which sucks, but it's not what this post is about.

So, after some thinking, I had an idea.

Here's a link to a pdf file with a Spock paper doll printout. It's free to download, just don't resell either the file or the doll (if I'm not getting paid for it, neither is anyone else, lol). Or you can download the pictures directly from this post.

And here's the catch: if you can, consider donating to a charity of your choice. My personal favourite is cancer research and treatment (my cousin had cancer and she lives because of these things, so), but you can choose for yourself, obviously. Also, you can take a look at Sera's post, where help is really needed. And no, you don't have to make a donation, especially if you don't have enough money. Actually, please don't donate money in such a case. If you feel uneasy about it, you probably can do something nice for someone you care about instead. Walk your spoonie neighbor's dog. Call your grandparents. Brush your cat. Take care of yourself. Or, if you're a generally healthy person, maybe try donating blood (if you haven't).

This way, you can have a Spock doll, and I can believe I've done something good (it's been long since I was able to support any charity consistently, so this is a nice way out). Everyone wins.

i liked the new doctor who but one thing that did really frustrate me was the idea that donna would give all her lottery winnings away to charity as a subconscious desire to emulate the doctor -- specifically to be what she calls 'soft,' or kind, or to act on a desire to help others precisely because that's what he would have done. when s4 donna was compassionate on her own terms, even more so than the doctor, to such an extent that the narrative at multiple points positions her as a spokesperson for a sort of kindness against the doctor's ruthlessness and cynicism. the runaway bride's "doctor, you can stop now" sees her stopping him from going "too far" (and turn left shows us what would happen if she hadn't been there to do so!); the fires of pompeii, again, show her making the doctor "save someone," retain and understand the importance of individual human life even in the face of mass catastrophe, not lose sight of the fact that everyone who died was a fully realised individual. and i have my ideological critiques of all that, but, like, it seems very absurd to just ... forget about it?

I want to clarify now, Posts like these will be rare on this blog.

This blog is primarily a place to discuss, headcanon, and do general fandom shenanigans.

As Billy Joel might say, It's a place to forget about life for a while.

But given the current goings on in the world, I Will be changing my pinned post to this link.

If you're like me, you may not have much disposable income. So it's hard to donate when causes you care about pop up.

This website uses advertisers and literal button clicks to generate donations.

My platform here is small, and primarily for fandom fun times, and it will remain as such. As previously stated, This will be a rare post of this kind on this blog.

But I wanted to give others the opportunity to help in this small way. And use my platform to spread this resource.

This website has buttons to click to help with issues like poverty, women's rights, the refugees in palestine, refugees in general and the environment.

It seems 𝗧𝗼𝗺 hasn't been in 𝙍𝙀𝙊𝙍𝙂's 𝐉𝐢𝐮-𝐣𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐮 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 this year 😣...

I found this photo of him with 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗗 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 in the gym from New York, and I get the feeling that it's recent, because of his hair and because when he was last there I didn't think he saw him with those shorts 👀 In addition, these days he hasn't been seen in the gyms he frequents in the United Kingdom 🤔

And, in the last selfie we had of him, the fan said that he had met him at the airport and that he (the fan) was headed to Boston, and in a comment a day later he said that the two of them were in the United States but I thought it was a joke and that it was from when he returned to London because he was wearing the same clothes, headphones, glasses, backpack... 😅

Me he encontrado con esta foto de él con 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗗 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 en el gimnasio de Nueva York, y me da la sensación de que es reciente, por su pelo y porque cuando estuvo la última vez no me pareció verlo con esos pantalones 👀 Además, en estos días no se le ha visto en los gimnasios que frecuenta en Reino Unido 🤔

Y, en la última selfie que tuvimos de él, el fan decía que se lo había encontrado en el aeropuerto y que él (el fan) se dirigía a Boston, y en un comentario un día después dijo que los dos se encontraban en Estados Unidos pero yo pensaba que era broma y que era de cuando volvió a Londres porque llevaba la misma ropa, auriculares, gafas, mochila... 😅

Hi everyone! We know it's been a while since we've posted an update, but our contributors have been hard at work on their creations for the zine. As of a few days ago, though, the writers and artists have all officially finished their pieces, and we're now opening up applications for audio pack contributors!

These contributors will make podfics of the fics our writers created and audio descriptions for our artists' works, in hopes of making this zine accessible to an even wider audience. We will also accept other forms of audio fanworks as well, such as fansongs!

Princess Goes - Floating (Official Music Video)

I am a little late - as usual these days...- but the band published a video on their youtube channel on tuesday and all donations (on their youtube channel) and proceeds will be given to the flood victims in Asheville (in North Carolina - Michael`s homebase). Here´s what the band wrote on their instagram account:

“Tomorrow for Giving Tuesday we’re releasing the Floating (Echo Mountain Session) official music video and having all proceeds from the video go to help those in Asheville that were affected by Hurricane Helene. We loved our time recording the Deluxe album in Asheville so this really hits home for us. Tune in at 11am ET on YouTube!

In the late spring of ’24 we left our routines, and the comfort of our own recording studio in downtown, NYC and flew to Asheville, North Carolina to record at a studio called Echo Mountain, (which btw is in an old church). We really loved our stay in beautiful Asheville and hopefully it showed the music we made at Echo Mountain.

With all the destruction and loss that occurred in and around Asheville during the hurricane we feel compelled to do what we can to pitch in and help the communities that were affected”

This was an older commission for a friend and her boyfriend, of their guinea pigs, Smokey and Bandit as a DnD wizard and monk respectively!

Also, my first time using the timelapse feature in Clip Studio Paint! I’ve tried using it again, but I don’t know if I’ve jinxed my nerves because I feel like I do worse when I try to record it. 🥲

The smart thing to do would have been to donate the presents that would no longer be going to their intended recipient. Archer Harrison knew that, deep down. The Assassin's Creed themed wallet would have done nicely for someone needing a starter wallet. The cookbook of video game themed dishes would have been a fun way for people who liked to cook to come together. Even if he didn't donate these items to people who he knew could use them, Archie knew he should have at least returned said items for a refund.

Instead, he had dragged the presents to the small area in the backyard he used for bonfires and struck a match to watch the presents go up in flames. Just like the United Empire had.

Wednesday's events still stuck to his bones like the cold that permeated the darkness around him. It felt like a nightmare, watching as Will turned his back on the rest of the United Empire. Francesco Akira had been critical of how Will was acting ever since he started dating Max, had been extremely critical of Max. The two had talked it out in that ring, had even hugged it out. Then had come the low blow and Tiger Driver from Will, as humiliating as it had been when Will had forced Tyler to shave his head. The final offer had been too much, either the rest of the Empire would follow Will or they would oppose him. The moment Tyler had chosen opposition, Archie had followed suit.

"There you are," a soft, feminine voice spoke over the crackle of the fire, rousing Archie from his darkest thoughts. He looked over to see his girl, his Charity, with her hands in the pockets of her gray woolen jacket. Blonde hair peeked out from under her matching hat, causing Archie to wonder how she could look so beautiful even completely bundled up. "Bonfire? In this cold? You could always just come inside to the heat."

"Heater doesn't burn twenty years of friendship," Archie muttered, even as he felt one of Charity's small arms wrap around his thick torso. She leaned into him and Archie felt a small shuddered breath leave himself, visible in the frigid air.

"I know it's a stupid question, but…are you okay?" Charity looked up at him, hand rubbing circles into his back.

"I don't know what to say, but it's Christmas, and we're all in misery," Archie scoffed with a little shake of his head, "Can't say much other than that."

"Not everyone is in misery."

Archie looked down at her, "How can you think-"

"I know," Charity moved her hand from the back of his leather jacket to his chest, "that it seems like everything is falling apart around you right now. I know it seems like you'll never get past this. But we currently have two men in the living room cracking jokes and using our couch to build a fort. Two men who need you just as much as you need them."

His mustache twisted as he raised the corner of his lip into a smile, "Akira and Tyler?"

"Yes," Charity gave a soft chuckle, "who else could it possibly be?"

"A fort? Really?"

"Tyler said something about it fixing everything," Charity gave a chuckle as the two started to make their way back towards the house, "Akira seemed to agree."

Archie let out a tearful laugh, leaning down to press a kiss to the top of Charity's head, "What would I do without ya, mumsy?"

"You'll never have to find out, lover boy."
