Hey do you think Rook broke down completely when they realized how fucking lonely they must have been to have their mind drag forth conversations with Varric they thought they'd have if he was still around. Do you think they sat there once everything settled and thought about all the lost time? About how actually messed up it is that they were so desperate for reassurance their brain offered up a solution in a form of a dead companion they had? Were those words "he" said to them the things they've heard before? Reassurances he offered prior? Do you think they lost their last bit of sanity when the realization hit?
