Well, now I need a GM.

This kit was honestly so much fun. I've already posted some un-fiddled-with pictures of it so I'll try not to repeat myself, but I think this at the very least rivals the G-3 in terms of enjoyment - possibly even surpasses it.

It definitely shows its age in places - nub placement in particular - and the colour separation and accuracy could be a little better, but for a 2003 kit I'm seriously impressed. My earlier MG experiences were a touch disappointing, but both 0079 kits I built were fantastic, and I think I might need to weigh down my shelves with some more MGs rather than HGs in the near future.

(Thankfully we're going to be building some new bookshelves soon, and I'm sure I can talk my wife into letting me put some gunpla on there too!)

Still need to apply some decals and touch up a few bits I missed with the paint markers, but still a top notch Master Grade experience.

HGUC 1/144 Principality of Zeon Char's Custom Type Amphibious Mobile Suit MSM-07S "Z'Gok"

Another one!! I've already built a HG z'gok a few months ago (here) but I was looking for a nice easy kit that I could bang out in a couple of hours. This is the Char Custom version, but unfortunately it's just a recolor of the base kit, without any extra details or gimmicks.

It does feel a little loose in the joints, but otherwise it's a really fun kit that despite it's age I feel is rather beginner friendly. With only 3 sprues and a very easy to follow build process it's a great next step from an EG kit.

While I didn't weather this one too much, I was able to steal some leftover stickers from my RG Zaku II to help provide extra detail.

It looks great paired next to the grunt Z'Gok...

In fact they are holding hands yuri style!

I also paired it up with my older GM kit but they don't seem to get along...
