Two Thousand three hundred years later, another man Gangasagar, with similar intellect rises to create a Prime Minister the Democratic India needs. Two teachers, in two time zones, meddling with politics, economics and lives. Two students Chandragupta and Chandni strive to lead and try to live under the oppressive mind games of their gurus. Fast paced, instructive and definitely gripping, things keep happening in domino effect. Sometimes it does Frustrate to see both Chanakya and Gangasagar be so accurate and successful, you can't love them nor can't you hate them. The actions and characters were well placed, each character had some use significant role to play, that's Ssnghi's forte. Hameed's character was a good flare to the book, a mere pawn who gets toyed around but brings the story to a complete circle, similarly Suvasini's little interaction serves a tragic poetic justice to Chanayaka's ambition. It also makes me wonder why Agarwallaji was never dying like Brahama! Historically the book has no value, but if the actions and gestures of Gangasagar and Chanakya are thoroughly exercised in present day politics, pragmatism would gain another meaning! Though a fast book, I took my sweet time to finish it through metro rides. Reading this book was like watching two Francis Underwood manipulate the world! Even Francis has weak moments.
