if you had to cast a riverdale actor as EVERY true blood character who would play who
!!! First of all I think all the actors would suffer terribly trying to do a Louisiana accent which would only make it better and we already know that kj HAS to play Jason but here's my s1 rundown (+ some extras);
Suki: Suki's a tough one because lili like looks the part but I've not seen her as anyone other than Betty and the idea of her playing like an innocent southern bell (at least initially) is....jarring? So maybe vanessa morgan
Bill: Sean depner cause I think it would be very funny
Eric: Again none of the men on Riverdale look like a centuries old Viking or even like a thirty year old Viking so we're gonna have to go with Chad Michael Murray
Pam: Gina Gershon simply because why not
Tara: the issue with riverdale is the lack of poc in the cast in general 🤪 but also the fact that the only young male black character was stripped of his comic book identity and turned into a villain and then like kicked off the show, so for Tara and Lafayette there is an issue but I can see Ashleigh Murray pulling off Tara pretty well, we'd just have to look elsewhere for Lafayette
Jessica: Madeleine obviously
Sam: Jordan connor? Perhaps?
Hoyt: the guy who plays moose without a doubt
Andy: we bring back skeet, he does a terrible job it's brilliant
Arlene: Natalie I think she'd ace it honestly
Rene: Rob raco simply because I advocate for Natalie having a boy toy on her arm and also he COULD pull it off
Adele: nana rose cause there's literally no other geriatric in Riverdale other than like?? Pop??
The hillbilly couple that tried to drain bill in the first episode: I think the guys that play Charles and chic would be really in their element here
Sarah newlin and her husband: Lili! She would be brilliant I think and like??? Casey Cott as Steve??
Russel edginton: lochlyn? OR Mr conseulos himself
Sophie-Anne: mädchen she has the range
Maryann: Erinn Westbrook, she wouldn't even have to use her powers people would just like fall in love with her anyway
All the waitresses and women who are killed in association to Jason in season 1 are all just Cole Sprouse in a different party city wig
Okay this is too long anyway ahaha sorry but yeah there's so many I've missed but those are all like the solid visions I have, anyway thanks for the best question I've ever received!

Chad Westbrook talks Greg Pikitis (S2E7)
Talented comedian and linebacker Chad Westbrook (The Audacity) comes on the show with a lot of anxiety about throwing a party and talks about Season 2 Episode 7 Greg Pikitis! We really sings the praises of Burt Macklin FBI. We also talk about GHB choice drug of Gwyneth Paltrow, who you’ll find on the streets slingshotting that drug to unsuspecting bystanders. Stephen breaks down what percentage…

Buying In
I think I’ve always had trouble buying in. My ego is constantly telling me that I know the way, that I need to establish myself as someone who is going to do what they want to do. When I was younger I used that as a source of energy, of power, of confidence. In some ways it was advantageous because it taught me to critically think, to have confidence in myself, and I was able to always appear to my peers like I had confidence. But the pride and hubris of it all has no doubt outweighed the advantages. The simple truth is that my unwillingness to buy into a concept or an effort has limited my ability to really experience and achieve incredible things. Putting yourself in the company of others who share your ambitions or perspectives is what sets us on track to a deep experience and often achievement. Not only do the players who buy into a coaching scheme achieve their personal best because of their willingness to maximize themselves within the context of their team, but that team can go on to win a championship because everyone bought in. There is a reason that the rockets never even made a finals appearance with James Harden, Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook, etc. because they wouldn’t buy in. They would not push themselves to do what was best for their goal, only instead what they thought was best for themselves. In so many scenarios I decide that I know whats best for me and if that’s not aligned with buying into whatever experiences lies in front of me I just simply don’t do it.
There is also an obvious significant evolutionary psychology at play here. Being in a group or team with a common goal is one of the most profound experiences in life, and one of the ways we really experience relationships and joy. It goes back to the time where we had to buy in as hunters in order to score the biggest game. Or when we were warrior and had to buy into a strategy and execution in order to protect and defend ourselves. It’s present throughout our society still within the armed forces, law enforcement, athletics, and medicine. Buying in and getting others to buy in is critical to profound life experience.
So I can’t help but reflect on all of the times I have not bought it, and perhaps consider my opportunities to buy in my future endeavors.
The first obvious example was with high school football. I was a talented athlete and no doubt someone that his teammates looked up to. While it never occurred to me at the time, I would later find out that I was the kind of person whom other players would think to themselves “”well we have Nate, and if he’s giving it his best then we have a chance”. Which is hilarious because for years that’s how I felt about my teammates like Jordan, Dom, and Chad. But all the while I decided to do things my own way. If I didn’t like the way that plays were called then I didn’t really invest. I didn’t care to drive all the way to school just to workout, and disregarded the opportunity to be a leader, so I would just not show up. I never bought in and not only did I never reach even close to my potential, but I lost an opportunity to bond with people over an incredible opportunity. And worst of all because I never bought in our team wasn’t able to perform at its best. Even if the 10 other guys had bought in and played their best (which they might have had I taken the opportunity to be a leader), the team was limited by my selfishness.
Sometimes I think I didn’t buy into my family as much as I should have. Like many kids I was a bit of a rebel. I wanted no part of taking direction from my parents. I respected them and needed their love but I was too prideful to accept or agree to their direction. I used to carry a lot of guilt over this but I’ve apologized to them and made amends to myself. But why was I always so quick to protest and act like I knew the better way? Had it not been for my dad’s advice I would have quit the football team senior year and regretted it for my entire life. Had My parents not forced me to go on college visits I would have just stayed in Buffalo and went to Canisius. I never would have fallen in love with Katelyn, I never would have met Heidi, never would have had the focus and individual attention that Le Moyne provided. I wouldn’t have grown as much as a person. I never would have even met Sully, one of my best friends to this day. Without my parents forcing me to visit Le Moyne I would have ended up a sheltered Buffalo kid. I probably would have gotten lost in the fun and just went to PA school rather than challenging myself with medical school. I am where I am today because even though I didn’t want to buy in, my parents forced me. There are certainly other examples (throughout medical schools for sure)
Before I wrap this up it’s worth clarifying some things. When I say buy in I mean its important to authentically give an opportunity your best effort and push yourself to succeed within it. If after you give it an honest effort and do at least what is expected you find yourself miserable and not having a worthwhile experience, then pivot. You still bought into an experience and the system around you, but it isn’t what you want for your future. That’s just a part of life, but you have to at least give it an honest try and buy in first.
So what chances will I have to buy in the future? Every day I can buy into friendships and family. I can put aside my hubris and focus on really being a brother, a son, and a friend. I can buy into my residency training. Rather than sitting back and just punching a time card (like I did for medical school) I can be active. I can be a leader, an advocate for patients, and really push myself to learn and experience everything I can in my training. I can buy into be a boyfriend, fiance, and then husband. That’s probably one of the most important things to buy into. There will be things that I would otherwise protest every single day with my future wife because I’m proud and don’t like to be told what to do. Buy into being a husband dude. I can buy into being a dad, buy into being a leader in my career, buy into being a member of a proud community. I have the time to buy in, I just need to follow through.
