International Tea Day 2017: Must visit cafes for your perfect cuppa this winter
By Sparshita Saxena
Undeniably, India is country that runs on 'chai'. Between umpteen variants that lace the numerous chai stalls and sophisticated 'Cha bars' of the country, one thing that remains constant is the sentiment associated with the drink.
India's love for tea is reinstated when the beverage is consumed enthusiastically even when the mercury soars during scorching Indian summers.
December 15 is observed as a day dedicated to the love of tea, celebrating the passion shared by tea-lovers all across the globe. Chai lovers, food enthusiasts, celebrated Chefs and eminent personalities took to Twitter to express their views on the International Tea Day.
Indian tea came from a tea plant indigenous to India, that grew wild in areas of Assam adjacent to China. Our culture of adding milk & spices to tea is believed to have started with an effort to make tea more warming and to cut down acidity.#InternationalTeaDay #Storiesin280
