I didn’t wanna put a whole ass explanation above bc it’s long and stupid but I have so many thoughts on so many things in haikyuu, especially these two sO-

first line: love em, best friends, lovers, they’re great! they were one of, if not my first hq ship, so are kinda special to me ehe. both their arcs are cool and they share a lotta plot points but like other ships are more about the narratives u know? so hence the dashed line

fluff: their fluff can be so cute and recalling the parts where they compliment each other in canon is free serotonin!

fandom made me hate this one: I think I’ve made my views on how they (especially sugawara) get treated pretty clear (cba to find/link posts and also they don’t show up in tags tf) but it’s 100% not everyone and the fandom has blessed us with good content so I put a dashed line bc I don’t wanna seem too negative! but yeah I have and will scream into the void about how their fanon is a fucking mess

they can fix each other: hurt/comfort!! they encourage each other so much in canon and asfhkhd yeah no I’m pretty much softest for them when they’re reassuring the other so like, yea they can kinda fix each other but also not a huge fan of the idea of like,,, “fixing” people? not great at explaining that but doesn’t sit 100% right aha

they can make each other worse/angst: they can also push the other into chaos mode so yes they make each other worse in that sense! but also their flaws are in some ways things that are exemplified in the other person so that can fuck em up (that also comes under angst, I love chucking them into angst, especially in high school - but only with a happy ending bc I’m a wimp!)

5. Abby, from Love, Simon A GAL WHO I LOVE IS FUNNY AND SWEET AND SHE’S JUST UNDERRATED AF I WATCHED THIS MOVIE TONIGHT WITH MY TWO FAVOURITE PEOPLE AND I CANT GET OVER HER
