Cat & Ashmi's friendship has been a relatively new development, approximately in the last 5 or so years. They met when Cat was hiding out from the law after stealing some gold bars & jewelry from a high end bank. The forest seemed to be the best option to ride out the chase, mostly because she did think the rumors spread about a giant tiger living in the area were untrue. (surprise! they were not. the first time she & ashmi met she almost got her trachea torn out because she surprised ashmi).

After that rocky start, Ashmi at that point was desperate for any type of human connection, so they started up a friendship where Cat visits every couple of months and brings her new jewelry and news from the outside world - she's even been able to get her to leave the jungle for brief periods at a time, though usually by the end of it they're running from the law.

Ashmi hasn't told Cat a lot of her history, and vice versa, but they do think of each other very fondly , and Cat truly wishes some day she can get her to leave her emotional baggage behind and travel the world with her.

Daddy’s little rich girl, the spoiled princess. At least that’s who Catalina used to be. Born with a silver spoon in her mouth, dotted upon by nannies and paraded in front of everyone. A quiet baby, Catalina was everything her parent wanted. Her father was an oil tycoon and her mother a former model turned housewife and socialite, heavy emphasis on the last part. The only time she bothered about her daughter was when company was there, to show everyone how perfect her child was. For the first few years of her life, Catalina was acknowledged but her parents only when it suited them, when she could be shown. She was young when she realized it, and decided to be the best at everything, ballet, figure skating, pageant, in an attempt to win their approval. But all it did was earn her small nods here and there, at least in private, when she needed their love and attention. During the parties they often threw, it was something else, both parents boosting about their perfect daughter. By the time she was ten, she was burned out of being perfect, of it being for nothing. So her cry for attention turned into something else, something darker, that needed to be hidden. The pride and joy of her parents became something to be ashamed of and Catalina was ship to boarding school in an attempt to forget the problem that she had become.

It was one, than two, then three schools kicking her out before she was forced to come back home at sixteen. It’s while being away that she learned that everything, and everyone, could be bought. By the time she hit adulthood, she had perfected the art of seduction, mistaking admiration and sex for love. It filled a part of the gaping hole in her soul. That and drugs worked wonders to numb the woman. Her antics were well known among the society her parents were part of and she was once again sent away, this time to rehab. It wasn’t the salvation they hoped, the insight she found about herself only being more damaging as she refused to work on them in an healthy way. It was too hard and Catalina always had it easy. When she got out, it wasn’t long before she slipped into old habits, harder than before. Her unconscious body was dumped in front of the ER. It was straight to rehab again but this time, she did some of the word that was needed. She was fragile when she left but she was trying. One thing became clear to her, her parents were not helping and she needed to get out. Pleading her case, they agreed to fund her life in another city, as long as she didn’t make any waves. Things were good for a while, quiet, until she started going out again and relapsed. She met a guy and together they ran away to Montana. He had some in with the Byrne, or so he thought before trying to take advantage of them, something that landed him six feet under. Catalina started to dance at the Bunny Buckle and when her parents found out, they cut her out entirely. She didn’t mind, feeling free for the first time in life, having some grasp on her demons and addictions.

CONNECTIONS.

LOGAN WALKER - You like trouble and they’re some of the worst you’ve seen. Damaged can sense damaged and you’ve been drawn to them from the first time you looked at them. You don’t want to drag them down, know you’re not good for anyone, but you also can’t stay away from them.

THE POLITICIAN - They seem to have taken some sort of interest in you because you lured them out. One look was enough for you to know that they came from money and in a moment of exhaustion, you let yourself think they could be some sort of salvation. You two play a game, a fun one, that can only end badly.
