Of Sisyphus, Of Orpheus
Style: One Shot Word Count: 1202  CW: Ranboo hallucinates Dream again! Though I think that’s it.
Summary: You glance back at Philza and suddenly you can only see Sisyphus. // You look back at Ghostbur for a moment and wonder what he would look like alive and with a lyre. // You look at your reflection in a piece of broken glass and you mourn for Cassandra.
The snow fell slowly as you looked out the window of Technos’ and Phils’ cottage. The world outside is quiet, calmer than you are used to. New L’manberg was loud, fighting an ongoing war with no victory in sight regardless of their effort. (Just like a clock, always ticking in an endless cycle- doomed to repeat past mistakes until the clock breaks.) Here, however, is quiet- the calm after a storm. You’re drained after today, though who wouldn’t be? (“ Do you even deserve to feel this way, Ranboo?” Dream whispers to you, fingers wrapping around your neck just barely squeezing down, “You didn’t even fight, all you did was watch”.)  You shake your head, trying to clear your thoughts. You look out the window once more and you think of Phil, of Sisyphus.
 --
“Sisyphus?” You ask Techno, having walked in on him reading an old looking book simply titled ‘Sisyphus.’
“Doomed to push a boulder up a hill for all of eternity after cheating death twice,” He tells you, elaborating when you make an interested noise, “Originally, he was the king of Corinth and was known for his trickery and intellect. Like all men, Sisyphus eventually died. However, Sisyphus had tricked Thanatos and chained the god of death up- effectively making everyone immortal until Ares freed Thanatos.” You nod along, having moved to sit on the floor in front of Techno as you listen to his story, “The second time he cheated death was when he tricked Hades wife, Persephone, into taking him back to the Overworld so she could do the ‘proper’ rituals. His final death, however,” Techno says, leaning back on his chair, “Was one he could not escape. Zeus himself intervened, cursing Sisyphus to push a boulder uphill and having the boulder fall back before it reaches the top. Cursed to make sure mortals aren’t encouraged by his behavior.”
You nod, eyes wide in almost amazement. It is interesting, hearing about old Mythos you missed out on living in… Where did you live? You blink for a moment, shaking your head for a second to clear your thoughts before hesitantly speaking, “Sisyphus reminds you of someone,” You say, speaking slowly- trying to make sure your thoughts are clear and inoffensive- “The way you talk about him… it sounds like you’re talking about someone else.”
Techno pauses for a second, eyes wide and caught off guard for a second before he returns to his neutral state, an almost smile of pride on his face. He doesn’t verbally respond, rather instead he glances out the window and you follow his gaze until you land on Phil. You’ve only heard bits and pieces about what happened before you arrived, mostly from Ghostbur so it isn’t exactly reliable but you wrack your brain, trying to figure out where the lines cross at this moment until it suddenly hits you like a train. Philza, forced to kill his middle son moments after joining. Philza, known for cheating death in worlds where the world is much crueler and you only have one life before you’re done. Philza, who time and time again has been moments away from finally reaching peace before it's ripped from him again. You look at Techno who only gives you a subtle, easily missable, nod.
You glance back at Philza and suddenly you can only see Sisyphus.
--
You blink, suddenly standing in the freezing cold in front of the nether portal. You don’t know how you got here, shivering from the snow falling around you- the dull ache of it melting on your skin hardly registering. Were you going to the nether? Why would you go there? You reach for your memory book only to find it missing from its normal spot, panic quickly spiking your heart as your lungs constrict and- and you can hardly breathe.  (“Again?” Dream whispers to you, tightening his grip on you, “Ranboo now come on, surely you can’t be this pathetic? Not even a day since the massacre and you’re already like this when you didn’t even do anything worthy of this feeling?”) Your hands tighten and- oh, it was already in your hand. You blankly stare at it for a moment, slowly calming down. You open the book, flipping to the recent page and all you have written is ‘Remember.’
You look at the nether portal again and you think of Ghostbur, of Wilbur, of Orpheus.
 --
Techno actually asks you if you want to hear another myth a couple of days later- Phil laughing quietly in the background as he trades with villagers. You nod, already getting comfortable on the floor as you give Techno your full attention, “Let’s see…” He thinks for a moment, his eyes wandering until he lands on Ghostbur a couple of feet outside of the village, showing Friend around, “Let’s do Orpheus.”
“Orpheus was, at least rumored to be, the son of Apollo and the muse Calliope,” Techno begins, “He was an amazing musician and in some myths, he also had a divine voice that could charm anyone. When he was a boy, he was gifted a lyre and some say even the gods couldn’t resist listening to him speak and play. As he grew up and mastered his gift so not even immovable objects were immune to his voice, his eyes landed on Eurydice and they fell in love instantly, getting married even when the hymn warned them the perfection won’t last. It gets a little murky here but when Eurydice was dancing with nymphs, she was bitten by a snake and died. Grief-stricken, Orpheus descends to the Underworld to plead with Hades and Persephone for Eurydice to return to the living world. Playing his lyre, not even the god of the dead could deny his grief. Making a deal, Hades told Orpheus that all Orpheus needed to do was lead Eurydice to the Overworld without looking behind him, to not look until they were in the sunlight. Orpheus, however, paranoid and doubtful turned around mere steps from success. He failed and Eurydice stayed dead. In his despair, he laid on a rock until a group of women killed him- not even putting up a fight.”
You look back at Ghostbur for a moment and wonder what he would look like alive and with a lyre.
--
You blink again and you’re standing at the crater of New L’manberg. (“Cassandra,” Dream purrs in your ear, bowing a bit as he holds out his hand for you to take, sunlight streaming from him as a lyre rests on his back and rocks lay beside his feet, “You couldn’t save Troy, how can you save yourself? Are you even worthy of being saved? Come to the Greeks and meet your fate already.”) It’s ruined, glass and withered wood lay everywhere- some places even still burning. Every step you take is dangerous, the ground beneath you unstable and you wonder if this was what Cassandra saw when the Greeks invaded. The once-powerful nation of Troy now rubble.
You look at your reflection in a piece of broken glass and you mourn for Cassandra.
(Dream cackles next to you as your breath quickens. The sunlight burning your skin as you think of Apollo.)

Me, dusting this blog off: Man I should really start writing again! I wonder what I should write about? Maybe the Found Family AU? Hermit Tommy is getting pretty popular as well, that might be fun since I like Hermitcraft as well- Ranboos Festival Stream (1/5/21): Gets outed as a traitor, pops off with acting, Panic! In the Bunker, Vwoop Vwoop Me, softly but with a lot of feeling: Fuck.
How is Troy, Cassandra?
Style: Short Oneshot (2nd POV)
Word Count: 1091 Based on: This and This (Orpheus Wilbur was referenced from here and Sisyphus Phil was from this fic) CW: Panic Attack, Auditory/Visual Hallucinations, slight self harm, some swearing (Feel free to ask me to tag more, these are just what I think is all)
Summary: Blessed with the ability to see the future but cursed so no one believes her, Cassandra is forced to watch Troy fall.  Ranboo suddenly can’t breathe.
You couldn’t breathe. The voices of your friends (Are they even your friends anymore? What did you do? What have you done? Stupid stupid stupidstupidstupid) fade in the background as you make your quick escape from the group, your throat hurting from earlier when you snapped. Your body feels numb, the ground beneath your feet withering as you head to your bunker.
You weren’t wrong (Right?), you know it (do you?), but why don’t they see it? This- This keeps happening, this will keep happening, so long as people pick sides! L’manberg vs Dream SMP, Pogtopia vs Manberg, New L’manberg vs Tommy- It’s always about sides! It’s why you choose people in the first place!
But haven’t you been picking sides? A voice in the back of his mind whispers, sounding eerily like Dream, Ranboo- friend of everyone, ally of none, betraying everyone. By choosing not to side, you’re choosing to betray everyone aren’t you Ranboo?
You descend into your bunker, the water lightly burning your skin but you’re hardly aware of it- not when your chest is constricting and your hearts are hurting. Everything feels to much yet not enough- you can hardly focus on a thought as the storm brews in your mind. You almost collapse as soon as you’re inside, resting against the obsidian walls as your eyes begin to burn with unfallen tears.
“You didn’t- You didn’t betray them,” You try and tell yourself, voice shaking as you look at your (its not yours its not yours false false falsefalsefalse) memory book, the drawn smiley face on the first page mocking you, “You didn’t! We always said that... That I side with people. But... But didn’t Techno say he was always on the side of anarchy and they still labeled him a traitor?” Hands grip your hair and tug, it doesn’t register as your own movements until your hands hurt and your head throbs.
Water rushes outside and if you listen close enough you can dolphins swimming, mellohi overpowering everything else as your thoughts begin to spiral. (Disks, it’s all those stupid disks fault! If- If people didn’t care about those disks so much, then this wouldn’t have happened! It’s just fucking disks! Just like it was just a fucking drug van.)
“Thought I’d find you here,” Dream grins, standing opposite of you. (When did he get inside? You never heard anyone entering.)
“Dre... Dream?” You say, voice cracking as fear claws your throat, “How did you find me?”
“Well it wasn’t hard,” He says, shrugging as he leans against the wall, “The hole is pretty obvious and the black is strong against the stone and dirt,” His arms are crossed- relaxed. He is dry, unlike you. Your suit heavy against your body, sharply stinging against your hypersensitive skin, “Plus, where else could you go?”
“Am I a bad person, Dream?” You blurt out before your mouth can catch up with your brain, anxiety wrecking you until all you can think about is the look everyone gave you. (Tubbo hates you, Fundy hates you, Nikki hates you, Eret hates you, Tommy hates you)
“Yes,” Dream says, no hesitation as he bluntly nods, “I mean, by not choosing a side, you unintentionally choose a side- No ones side. You betrayed everyone, Ranboo.”
You wince as he speaks, hands digging into your arms (When did you move you hands? When did you move to the floor?). Sobs shakily escape as green and red tears drip down your face, the room suddenly feeling a lot smaller. No- no you can’t be a bad person. This- this was supposed to be your redemption! But you fucked up again, didn’t you? You tried- you tired to guide them. You tried, in the end, to tell them how this was because of Dream but you didn’t try hard enough, did you? No- no you did- right? You didn’t pick a side- did you?
“Do you know about the story of Troy? About Cassandra?” Dream asks you, pulling you away from your thoughts for a moment. You nod, you know about Cassandra- You remember Technoblade talking about her one night as he spoke about the Myths of Old.
(”Stunned by her beauty, Apollo had gifted Cassandra with prophetic visions,” Technoblade tells you, sharpening his axe, “However, when she denied his romantic advances, he cursed her by making it so no one believes her- even though what she says is the truth. The princess of Troy saw visions of Troy falling and tried to warn people- yet they never believed her. She tried to help her people yet no one believed her. When Troy fell, just as she warned them, the Greeks captured and killed her.”
“Why are you telling me this?” You ask him, tilting your head a bit, “Not that I mind! It’s very interesting, but why this all of a sudden?”
He pauses his action for a moment, shaking his head before continuing, “Call it a... feeling. I’ve told you about Orpheus and Wilbur, Theseus and Tommy,  Sisyphus and Phil- I have a feeling Cassandra will join us in modern myths soon.”)
“You told them, didn’t you Ranboo?” You can feel Dreams eyes on you, peering into your soul until you lay bare in front of him, “You tried to warn them- Even if New L’Manberg wins, it will only be temporary. I still have the power, the walls are physically gone but they’ll always be there in spirit. This is just a game to me, Ranboo, and you know it,” He begins to make his way to you, slow and tall- power emitting from him and you can’t help but cower, “You spoke the truth to them- L’manberg is a scam, it is was born from spite and a drug van no matter how hard they try and convince themselves otherwise. They should pick one another instead of land, but they don’t listen. They never listen, do they Ranboo?” Dream stops in front of you, and even though you can’t see his eyes, you know he is staring down at you with a smirk on his face. The sun shines behind him, making him almost glow with a halo around his head, “Cassandra, blessed to see the future but cursed so no one believes her. How is Troy, Ranboo?” Dream asks you, leaning down and blinding you with light for a moment- making you close your eyes.
You open your eyes, Dream is gone and mellohi continues to play. He wasn’t real, he couldn’t have been real- right?
You can’t breathe.

Of Hades, Of Achilles (Of Apollo)
Style: One Shot Word Count: 1202 CW: Ranboo hallucinates Dream again!
Summary: You look at the door you watched Techno walk out of and you wonder how many of the stories are true, and how many are made up from fear.  // ... Picturing Dream in his armor and shield, the river Styx flowing behind him. // Apollo, who walks next to you in a green hoodie and white mask, humming the anthem of a home he destroyed.
The snow stung as you work on building your little shack. Dream (No, no not Dream. Just your imagination again, you’re safe you’re safe youresafeyou resafeyoursafe) sits on one of the ledges, feet dangling off the edge. In the back of your mind, you wonder when you started seeing him with a halo made of sunlight with a crown made of black and white feathers on his head. You place another spruce plank on the roof, careful to make it secure but easily removable just in case. (“Just in case of what? You get kicked out?” Dream asks you, resting his chin on the palm of his hand as he leans down to watch you work, “Betray them like you betrayed Theseus and Echo, like you betrayed-” You tune him out quickly, hands tightening around the pieces of the wood as you try and remember how to breathe.)
The army of dogs bark in the background as you tie the planks down with some rope, “Cerberus…es,” You mutter to yourself, making a tight knot as you think of flames amidst the snow.
--
“For me?” You quietly ask, gently taking the old book Techno holds out to you. He doesn’t verbally respond- looking a bit bashful- rather he just nods and once you have the book, he heads out on one of his journeys. Looking at the book, you run your fingers over the cover. ‘Myths of Old for beginners’ is written in golden cursive against a darker red. Quietly, you sit next to Edward with your back against the chests, giving a small chitter as a greeting to him before you open the book up to read what you land on- Hades.
“Being given the Underworld after his father, Cronus was defeated, Hades is the God of the dead. While he does supervise the trial and punishment of the dead, he normally isn’t one of the judges nor did he personally torture the guilty. More often than not, his personality is stern and aloof, unmoved by prayer or sacrifice.
Spotting Persephone in a garden, Hades had fallen in love. In some stories, Zeus gave consent to Hades abducting Persephone- even lying as to where Hades had taken Persephone, saying it was either Sicily or Asia. More commonly, however, is Hades just kidnapping and bringing Persephone down to the Underworld.
Demeter, Persephones mother, and goddess of the harvest, began to search the Overworld for her. Eventually, Demeter arrived in Eleusis and disguised herself as an old woman, and began taking care of Demophon, the prince of Eleusis. In exchange for the kindness the family had given her, she began making Demophon immortal by placing him in fire each night. When Metaneira, his mother, saw this, she raised alarm. This is when Demeter revealed her true identity and demanded the kingdom make a temple be built in her honor. When it was completed, Demeter left the Overworld to live in the temple, bringing a great drought to the land to force the other gods to make Hades release Persephone.
As the drought claimed more victims, Zeus had no choice but to send Hermes to try and persuade Hades to release Persephone. It gets murky here, however, regardless of how it happened, Persephone had eaten at least a single pomegranate seed which trapped her in the underworld. A compromise was made, however, that for half a year Persephone would spend in the overworld- the other half in the underworld.
In some myths, Persephone and Hades genuinely loved one another, in others, it was one sided. Myths and stories get muddled when people speak them.”
You blink, fingers tracing over the letters of the page. Hm… You look at the image of Hades on the last page, Cerberus behind him. Tall, dark, brooding- terrifying with a crown on his head- but you look at his myth and you wonder what part you’re supposed to be scared of. Hades is the god of the dead, he isn’t the god of death. You wonder if there is more to his story you’ll never learn, his title and appearance leading people to presume things that are untrue.
You look at the door you watched Techno walk out of and you wonder how many of the stories are true, and how many are made up from fear.
--
“I’m surprised you chose Hades,” Apollo- No, Dream - tells you, floating next to you as you finish up the shack, “People tend to point out that Hades is the God of The Dead, not The God of death .”
“Shut up,” You mumble, shaking your head to try and get him to leave (He’s not real, but… it’s less lonely with him here at least) “Hades is often mistaken as the god of death and people tend to assume things about him and- You’re not even real! Why am I arguing this?!”
He laughs for a moment, it sounds more human than anyone you heard in L’manberg, but then he’s suddenly next to you and you are vividly aware of how fake he is, “So, Hades Techno. What about me, hm?”
You hesitate, “Dream is Achilles,” You tell him, trying to make that separation more visible in your brain, “Appearing invincible, though very mortal- unless you believe the myths were he is immortal everywhere except his heel- with very powerful armor and a powerful shield, Achilles is a powerhouse in the Greek army. Achilles is petty, believing in taking two eyes for every one eye you take. Of course, he has his reasons for it but he didn’t need to humiliate Hector even in death. He does relent, however it takes a while. The original Iliad ends there, however, in later stories Paris, Hectors' brother, kills Achilles with an arrow guided by Apollo right to his heel- his one weakness.”
You pause for a moment, trying to collect your thoughts as you jump off the roof of the shack, wincing a little when you land, “Dream is powerful, appearing invincible but… but I want to believe he has a weakness. Sisyphus reminds us that no one can escape death.”
You walk in the snow quietly on your way back to Techno and Phils cottage to get the rest of your things, picturing Dream in his armor and shield, the river Styx flowing behind him.
--
You walk quietly in the snow next to Halo Dream, thinking of Apollo. Apollo isn’t a perfect fit for Dream, not like Achilles, but you can’t help but think of Apollo interfering with mortals in so many myths. Apollo, being the one to guide the arrow that kills Achilles. Apollo, who speaks of prophecies that lead to people's end (Is Apollo any better than you? Who are you trying to prove yourself to?). Apollo, who can’t let people have happy endings. Apollo, blessing Cassandra at first but cursing her as soon as he couldn't get what he wanted from her.
Apollo, who walks next to you in a green hoodie and white mask, humming the anthem of a home he destroyed.

Of Theseus, Of Echo || Tommy and Tubbo Interlude
Style: One Shot Word Count: 1669 CW: None that I can think of!
Summary: The story of Theseus popular on this server, and Tommy wonders which Theseus people think of. // As he walks into New L'manberg, Tubbo wonders if Echo would have exiled her best friend. // "Besides, who wants to admit they didn't notice gods among men?"
Contrary to popular belief, Tommy was not an idiot. Impulsive, reckless, loud, childish, possessive- All true, but he isn't an idiot. He knew that perhaps his choices weren't the best- but come on! Exile seemed a bit extreme. He deliberately told Tubbo he didn't want to be vice president yet- not while Dream still had his discs- but did anyone listen? Nooo, they just continued to act like he was still vice president! And he wasn't just going to repeat himself, it would make him seem like a coward! And Tommy Watson-Innit was no coward!
Still, as he sits on the shore of the beach with a fishing rod in hand, he can't help but wonder if perhaps he really was an idiot. Why did he stick up for Ranboo? A guy he barely knew. Sure he was Nikis' old friend (Younger brother? Tommy really didn't know. Gentlemens' rule of the SMP, you don't ask about someone's past) but he didn't need to lie for him and take the sole blame. Ranboo may have stuck up for him but was it really worth it? ("Of course it was," a Wilbur- Not Ghostbur- sounding voice told him, "That's how I raised you. Always be kind unless given a reason not to be. You're not a bad person Tommy, you're just a child.")
Dream appears beside him and Tommy half wants to snarkily ask him if Dream wants to blow up his fishing rod but he holds his tongue. No use arguing with Dream now, not when Dream is his only real person to talk to outside of unreliable messages with Ranboo and an amnesiac ghost who's just a shadow of his older brother. "I wouldn't take you as a fisher," Dream says after a moment. It's hard to tell but Tommy thinks Dream is looking at him from the corner of his eyes, but it's almost impossible to know with his dumb fucking mask.
"There's a lot you don't know about me bitch," He responds, reeling in the rod and grabbing the fish, tossing it back into the ocean as he waits for another bite.
"Really?" Dream asks and Tommy knows Dream is baiting him to reveal some grand secret, a chance to 'one-up him' in something big, "Like what?"
"My real name is actually Theseus," He says, unable to hide the pleased look on his face when Dream physically turns to him in what Tommy assumes is surprise, "Techno named me and Phil just agreed to it to make him happy. Wil-" His name gets caught in his throat and he knows that Dream heard it, "He gave me the nickname Tommy and I much prefer it. Though, I can't help but wonder," Tommy says, laughing so Dream can't hear the way his voice wavers as he tries to hold off of mourning whatever he had left to feel about Techno, "Do you think he knew? That I'd grow up to my namesake? Once a hero, now exiled. All that's left is dying in disgrace."
Dream stays silent, and Tommy can't help the pride he feels to have caught Dream off guard. He half wonders what Dream is thinking right now, and he almost asks before Ghostbur interrupts and asks Tommy if he'd like some blue.
The story of Theseus popular on this server, and Tommy wonders which Theseus people think of.
--
New L'manberg is pretty at night, Tubbo has to admit. The lanterns Ghostbur made light up the sky and the paths between areas, giving Tubbo the warmth he's been slowly losing. In the back of his mind, he wonders if this is what Wilbur meant when he said he was always cold. Walking along the path, Tubbo makes his way to L'mantree and sits outside of the obsidian encasing the tree. "Ah, Mr. President!" Someone calls for him, and for a moment Tubbo believes it to be Ranboo but a flash of green next to him tells him it isn't.
"Dream!" Tubbo greets, giving the masked man a smile, "You're out late, are you on a walk?" ("He's using you kid," Schlatt whispers in his ear, voice soft in a way it hadn't for a while, "You need to open your eyes. Dream has never been on your side. He made you exile your best friend, remember? Dream isn't your friend here, just like I wasn't your friend.")
"I could say the same to you!" Dream laughs, light hearted and friendly, "Just like you said, I'm taking a walk. How about you?"
"Just thinkin'" He shrugs- because it's true! Technically, at least. The entire reason he went on a walk was to clear his head, the upcoming Green Festival weighing heavy on his mind. When Dream tilts his head, Tubbo realizes he needs to come up with something- what did Schlatt tell him? The best lies were based on truth? "About Techno," He tells Dream, turning to face him, "He used to tell me this story- an Old Myth- whenever he and Phil would come home from adventuring. I... I miss hearing about it, Wilbur did his best to tell them but he was more of a Modern Myth slash Sky God story kind of guy. He spoke so much about then you think the Sky Gods actually told them the stories themselves!" He laughs a bit, "Do you know the story he'd tell me?"
"Theseus?" Dream asks, making a confused noise when Tubbo shakes his head.
"Echo," Tubbo says, smiling a bit, "He wanted to name me Echo actually, though Wilbur put a stop to it and since Techno named Tommy, Phil let Wilbur name me. Have you heard the story of Echo?" He asks, almost perking up when Dream shakes his head no, "Right- Okay, it's been a while since I've heard it so I might get a couple things wrong but! Echo was a mountain nymph and Zeus was just in love having sex with nymphs and would visit the overworld a lot because of it! Hera naturally became suspicious and tried to catch Zeus in the act with a Nymph but Echo, under Zeus order, kept distracting Hera. Eventually, Hera found this out and took her wrath out on Echo and cursed Echo so she could only repeat the last thing she heard! Echos' misery doesn't end here though, because she fell in love with the handsome Narcissus! However, she was never able to tell Narcissus how she felt- not like Narcissus liked her anyways- and eventually Narcissus was cursed to fall in love with his own reflection and Echo was forced to watch Narcissus perish due to his own vanity! No one really knows what happened to Echo after that though, I feel bad for her. She was pretty much forced to become everyones yes man after she was punished because Zeus told her to protect him from his wife even though Zeus was in the wrong. I think Techno was trying to warn me."
"Warn you?" Dream echos back, a curious tone in his voice.
"Yeah!" Tubbo nods, "I mean..." He trails off for a moment, suddenly remembering who he is talking to and how he needs to be careful, "Like, I've always been Tommys yes man you know? I go along with what he says and does what he asks- sort of like how Echo, well, echos back whatever people say! Then with Schlatt I did everything he asked of me, even when it led to my own exe... execution- Like Echo did what Zeus said even though it got her cursed! Ooo do you think Techno can see the future?"
"Maybe," Dream says, content for now, "You should head on back though, mobs are beginning to spawn and you're not very armed. Maybe you can tell me more Old Myths later."
Tubbo nods, giving Dream a wave goodbye. As he walks into New L'manberg, Tubbo wonders if Echo would have exiled her best friend. He shakes his head, picking up his pace as he hears a Zombie groan- Of course Echo would have, only if Zeus asked her though... If Tubbo is Echo, would that make Quackity his Zeus?
--
Sitting on top of a grand tree, Wilbur looks over at his dead ram friend, the pool of water around them shimmering as the image of Tuboo walking into New L'manberg fades, "Think they'll be okay?"  He asks, although he already knew the answer to that.
"Ehhhh..." Schlatt replies, "Depends on if they listen to us or not. Though, we haven't done this in a while so who knows how effective it'll be."
WIlbur snorts, as Schlatt waves his hand over the water, switching it to a sleeping Ranboo, "You think Connor would be able to sense us, or at least you."
Schlatt shrugs, laying on his back as he looks at the sky, "He was never the most magically adapt, he was better at the human shit. Besides, Mr. Sky God, it isn't like he knows what Dreams aura is. The tricky bastard likes keeping his secrets."
"Well, Mr. Sky Champion," Wilbur responds, the familiar cocky grin on his face as he looks up from the water, "It seems like the narrative is going to get a lot more interesting from here on out. Dream seems to be preparing for something. I always have been a fan of history rhyming and the God of the End has always been a word smith."
"Gods of old I forgot how much you talk," Schlatt groans, "I forgot how fucking cryptid and nonsensical you are as well."
Wilbur cackles, "Well, you have an eternity to remember at least. They won't figure us out for a while at least, I have zero faith in them. Besides, who wants to admit they didn't notice gods among men?"
Rain falls somewhere in the distance as TNT explodes, a pool of lava bubbling somewhere below though the god and half-god don't pay much attention to it. They've already dealt with the rhythm of betrayal from them.
