1926 Caryl Bergman, Ziegfeld Girl, lied about her age and became a Ziegfeld Girl at age fourteen. The Gerry Society made it their business to find under-aged girls in show business. The girl would lose her job if she were found out. Two of the photos are by Alfred Cheney Johnston, the other by DeBarron.

Grammar, Speech, Rhetoric & the Fate of Humanity – The Imaginative Conservative
Could a fifty-year-old, small book on grammar, speech, and rhetoric by a nearly-forgotten thinker have the power to revolutionize and re-awaken our decadent intellectual life? (essay by Caryl Johnston) — Read on www.theimaginativeconservative.org/2018/10/cross-of-reality-eugen-rosenstock-huessy-caryl-johnston.html

The International Blog by John Rodgers (Updated: Monday 30th October 2017 @ 15:50)
A good attendance at sunny Dalziel Park on Sunday for the International trial match with players old and new attending from all over the country.
After a serious warm-up the players were split into two squads, with Bruce McNaught taking the BLUE team while Colin MacLeod took the more establish players that were nominated to the YELLOW’S.
The game its self was spilt into 3 half-hour sections to give Bruce and Colin opportunity to fine tune their groups tactics as required and also give the players at least an hour of football.
The Blue team looked the more likely in the opening stages and in the 26th minute took a deserved lead when Steven Currie stroked the ball home with some style. As expected the Yellow team reacted in a positive manner and 10 minutes later Billy Caryl equalized with a powerful blast that gave the keeper no chance to save.
Colins team would then forge ahead when Paul McCracken stole the lead (Bruce McNaughts opinion) after the hour mark. However, Bruce organized “Fergie Time” with Jonathan Howat forcing the ball over the line just before the final whistle and earn his team an honorable draw, and cheer up the gaffer.
In the end Bruce and his management team were impressed with the energy and commitment of all the players involved and gave them a clear picture of the immerging talent available.
The named players taking part are listed below under Blue or Yellow and in no particular order.
