The Vampire is an Economics major, to take over her parent’s company. She is also the keyboardist of a band with Skeleton.

The Wizard/Warlock is a Wicca major that also minors in gem making. They have a crush on Vampire so they tend to stay up late with them.

The Mermaid is a double major in Communications and Biology. This is so she can spend more time with her aquatic friends. She is also mobility impartial when she has her human legs. So she likes to go between a cane or wheelchair depending on the day.

Lastly we have the Skeleton who is studying to become a grim reaper. In her free time she runs a band with Vampire and is the lead guitarist.

Lashes fluttering as you blinked at the picture, slowly sitting up as you clicked on the story zooming in lips slowly parting in disbelief. "Alright, bro, bye." not giving him the chance to answer you hang up deciding to go on 'sasha's page to stalk her itching to find out who she is, and what relation she has to connie. Mid scrolling you pause at a picture of her kissing connie's cheek, it was posted a few months back but it still made you feel a pit in your stomach and made you gnaw at your lips while tears ran down your cheeks. Sniffing you clicked off of sasha's profile, leaving your phone on the bed as you got up to use the bathroom. Looking at your puffy eyed expression you sucked you teeth mad at yourself for crying over some boy, you gently washed your face with cool water before using a towel to wipe away the water and applying baby oil to your plump lips, the sudden knocking on your door had your eyebrows furrowing until you realized who it could be. The thought alone caused an annoyed sigh to leave your lips, and for you to feign ignorance to the fluttering of your stomach, because of what could possible happen.

Taking your time to walk to the door, stopping at the mirror on the wall to fix your appearance and unbuttoning your snoopy pajama top to show a little of your cleavage, a gold necklace with the inital 'c' glistening against the pretty brown skin of your supple breast, you turned to look at the shorts bending over to shake your ass a little but quickly standing up as Connie's knocking grew louder.

Rolling your eyes you walked up to the door, pulling it open to reveal Connie. You hated the fact that he looked so good, his muscle straining againt the material of his tank top as he crossed his arms looking down at you, dick straining against his sweatpants, your mouth almost watering at the sight had you looking away.

"What's your problem?" laughing with a shake of your head you pointed a finger towards your chest. "Me? I don't got a problem, cause im not supposed to worry about it right? tuh fuck you take me for."

Artemis/Iphigenia (Greek myth) : 7% (1/15). Another creepy ship, that I love.

Retsu/Isane (Bleach) : 8% (1/13). I was deep in Bleach fandom once. I wrote a lot of combinations. Most of them were jossed.

Spinsters (Once upon a Time) : 9% (1/11). They were in only an episode, at the time I hoped we’d see more of them. I know in the fairy tale they’re sisters, but they’re also three, and I will stay persuaded that Rumplestiltskin, after him mother left, was raised by two lesbian spinsters fairies.

Mabel/Candy (Gravity Falls) : 10% (1/10). I’m honestly suprised it’s not bigger. There’s one femslash ship in Gravity Falls and it’s eating all the other possibilities.

Gamma/Zimmy (Gunnerkrigg Court) : 10% (1/10). Lots of people ship them but the fandom and the ship are not easy to write.

Gratitude for the Kansas City Chiefs

I wrote the third installment of this story a couple months ago and was all set to post it before the end of regular season, but something happened with my computer and I lost everything, including my photos. That was kind of devastating. For those of you wondering, I did backup my drive but the backup would not reload all the lost material (you Mac apologists should know it was a Dell that did it to me - melt my heart to stone why don’t you). I found the photos elsewhere, but not the high-resolution images we were given by the Chiefs’ staff photographer. I was upset about this loss and I lost momentum on my blog as a result. Now, though, seems like a real good time to get it going again, for the glaringly obvious reason that Superbowl LIV is CHIEFS vs. 49ERS AND HOLY SH!T THIS IS A SENTENCE I’VE TYPED WHICH IS A TRUE SENTENCE – HELL IS CHILL AND BABIES ARE CRYING TEARS OF JOY.

The morning of 9/24/17 dawned and the kids, Larry, and Connie were at our house. Colin stayed with Kim, and both of them went down early to do the Chiefs Los Angeles tailgate. Grant being the awesome guy he is, got everyone fresh bagels for breakfast, and we left at 9am in Larry and Connie’s gigantic rental car. Half the people in the car know what’s happening, and on the way there, Larry mentioned getting player autographs on the sidelines (he was driving and Grant was shotgun, which is a good thing because Connie and I might have throttled Larry and caused an accident). Fortunately Grant either misheard him or wasn’t paying attention. It didn’t take long to get there, and we used our sweet parking pass to get a spot close to the stadium. All of you who have been to games, particularly that first season at Levi’s Stadium in the Taylor family’s case, know how much of a pain new stadium parking can be.

Before we walked over, I decided to tell Grant, Wyatt, and Naomi what was happening – Grant had to know because he was going to get our extra field passes from will call. Connie gave me a Chiefs hat so I’d have something connected to the team for the game, then we met up with Colin and Kim in front of the box office and went into the stadium at about 11:30. Connie forgot she had her full-size purse with her, so we stopped to wait for her and Colin (who is a good son and went with her to the car to drop it off). That’s why this first picture doesn’t have the two of them in it. We. Are. So. Cute.

I’m fond of saying I’m just happy to be in the room…and everything that happened next was just icing (the best kind, your favorite). As we were heading down to the sidelines, I sent Tyler Epp a message letting him know we were there. He found us goggling at the players and initiated his first major surprise for Grant. He told us Coach Andy Reid read my letter and wanted Tyler to make sure we were taken care of (his words). Now, Eric Berry had already torn his achilles at this point and did not travel to LA for the game. Coach Reid got a mini football helmet signed by himself, Eric Berry, and Derrick Johnson before they flew out from KC so Tyler could give it to Grant. I almost started crying until I pulled my shit together because I’m not that girl! At least, I wasn’t then – now, I can’t even make it through The Mandalorian because that damn baby Yoda makes me cry.

We took copious pictures with the helmet because duh, and Tyler stuck around with us so he could engineer the second major surprise for Grant. There’s a rope on the sidelines separating us from the players, and we weren’t the only people gathered in front of it – several other groups of lucky civilians were also down there living their best lives. We looked to our left and saw a commotion: a group of handlers and, well, a giant was walking next to the rope. People were calling out to him but he wasn’t stopping until he got to us, and then he stopped. In front of Grant. That time I DID cry a little, because this was what I’d been hoping for all along. Derrick Johnson was here, and he was talking to my husband, and he was meeting Wyatt and Naomi, and he was shaking Larry and Colin and Connie and Kim’s hand, and he was meeting me!

Grant had met DJ before in his rookie season and he shared that story with him. DJ took pictures with Grant and autographed his jersey. He took pictures with all of us. I shook his hand; it was cold, and I’d love to know how he managed that because it was hot on the field and we were all standing in the sun. While this was happening, Alan Wright (Chiefs head Equipment Manager) came over to say hello and we got the chance to thank him personally for getting us the additional field passes. Mark Donovan came over and we were able to get pictures with him and thank him personally as well. Eagle eyed observers will note we were on the other side of the rope at this point - obviously that’s where we belonged, in the VIP!

This all went down before 12:30pm, and we still had almost an hour to go before kickoff. Connie took Naomi back up to the concourse for shade and a snack. The rest of us stayed down on the sidelines and enjoyed the moment. Incidentally, David Koechner was also on the sidelines; someone from the Chiefs staff told him to come over and say hello to our group. They kicked us out of there around 1pm, and we went on to watch the Chiefs beat the Chargers 24 -10. Alicia met us by the car to take the kids home, and we headed back to our house to eat Chinese food from the Great Wall Restaurant in Reseda (featured in the movie I Love You, Man) and reflect on the incredible day. And as you know, I am now a gigantic fan of the Chiefs organization.

The irony of this Superbowl isn’t lost on me – while many picked the Chiefs to be there, pretty much no one except diehard Niner fans picked a 4-12 team to go 13-3 the very next year. It’s the greatest tragedy of this season that Grant is not here to see this game. When the 2014 World Series happened with the Royals and Giants, Grant and I were the most positive couple from opposing teams you could meet. I’m confident we would have dealt with this battle with a ton of trash talk, spectacular pranks, and joy for one another. I know he’s with us in spirit and always will be, but like many Chiefs faithful, this is a moment he’d been dreaming about for decades and he’s not here with us to celebrate it. I talked to Carie after the AFC Championship and she told me she’d already cried three times. She’s not the only one.

For those of you who may not have seen my FB post but might read this – you should know I’m a homer ‘til I die – 49ers faithful means every Sunday after all (the slogan of the Nolan/Singletary years). If the Chiefs win, I won’t be mad about it, but you can bet your butt I’m rooting for my Niners.

Then, this month, the developer of e-cigarettes popular among teenagers accepted a $12.8 billion investment from the makers of Marlboro that valued it at $38 billion. Not only has Juul created significant controversy surrounding the ethics, or lack thereof, of its core product and its marketing to the younger generation in a short time, but it has also accumulated value at a clip rarely seen before. Juul, for context, surpassed a $10 billion valuation just seven months after its first round of VC backing — that’s four times faster than Facebook.

2019 is poised to be an interesting year for San Francisco-based Juul as it navigates public scrutiny, regulations and the completion of its partnership with Altria Group, which, according to Juul’s CEO Kevin Burns, will “help accelerate [Juul’s] success switching adult smokers.”

Instacart has a lofty goal of delivering groceries to every household in the U.S., and it needs a lot of cash to get there. The company has raised VC every year since it completed the Y Combinator startup accelerator in 2012, and 2018 was no different. In October, the service brought in $600 million at a $7.6 billion valuation in a round led by D1 Capital Partners. Headquartered in San Francisco, the company has raised $1.6 billion to date from Coatue Management, Thrive Capital, Canaan Partners, Andreessen Horowitz and several others.

Instacart CEO Apoorva Mehta told TechCrunch at the time that the startup didn’t really need the capital and that this was more of an “opportunistic” battle. The market is hot, after all, and Instacart has ambitious plans to scale and it has a fierce competitor in Amazon to take on. As for an IPO, Mehta said “it will be on the horizon.”

Katerra: $865M

SoftBank-backed Katerra says it’s brought in more than $1.3 billion in bookings for new construction ranging from residential to hospitality and student housing.

One of SoftBank’s first major bets of 2018 was on construction technology, with an $865 million investment in Katerra at a $3 billion valuation out of its Vision Fund. Katerra, a tech startup based out of Menlo Park, develops, designs and constructs buildings. At the time of its January fundraise, Katerra told TechCrunch it had brought in more than $1.3 billion in bookings for new construction ranging from residential to hospitality and student housing. Founded in 2015 by three former private equity barons, the company has raised a total of $1.1 billion to date from SoftBank, Foxconn, Greenoaks Capital and others.

In June, Katerra announced it would merge with KEF Infra, an offsite manufacturing technology specialist, and would begin operating in India and the Middle East markets.

Opendoor: $725M

Yet another SoftBank investment, San Francisco-based Opendoor is also backed by Fifth Wall Ventures, GV, Andreessen Horowitz and more.

Opendoor’s two big SoftBank-backed investments this year totaled $725 million, valuing the company at $2.5 billion. The deal gave SoftBank a minority stake in Opendoor, an online real estate marketplace, and put one of its five managing directors, Jeff Housenbold, on the company’s board of directors. The round brought Opendoor’s total funding to slightly more than $1 billion — most of which it acquired in 2018, a major year for the company. According to TechCrunch’s Connie Loizos, Housenbold had hoped to work with Opendoor co-founder and CEO Eric Wu for some time. “The minute he joined [SoftBank] he reached out to me and let me know … saying if there was an opportunity to work together, to reach out to him,” Wu said.

Lyft: $600M

Uber competitor Lyft expanded aggressively in 2018, raised hundreds of millions in additional venture capital funding, and filed confidentially to go public.

Lyft managed to stay quite busy this year. Not only did the ridesharing company raise a $600 million round at a $15.1 billion valuation, it also acquired bike-share operator Motivate and filed confidentially to go public. Founded in 2012 by Logan Green and John Zimmer, the company has long competed with Uber, and will continue to do so as the pair race to the public markets in early-2019. Lyft, much smaller than Uber and only active in the U.S. and Canada, has raised nearly $5 billion in venture backing from KKR, Mayfield, Didi Chuxing, Floodgate and others.

San Francisco-based Lyft has spent much of the last two years expanding rapidly across the U.S. market, as well as pursuing its autonomous vehicle ambitions.

Automation Anywhere: $550M

Automation Anywhere raised a monstrous $550 million Series A in 2018, with support from the SoftBank Vision Fund.

The only surprise to make this list is Automation Anywhere, a 15-year-old provider of robotic process automation. The company raised a total of $550 million in Series A funding, a large chunk of which came from the SoftBank Vision Fund, as well as NEA, General Atlantic and Goldman Sachs. The round valued Automation Anywhere at $2.6 billion. According to PitchBook, this was the first round of institutional backing for the San Jose, Calif.-based company.

In a conversation with TechCrunch, Automation Anywhere CEO Mihir Shukla said they were attracted to SoftBank because of Masayoshi So — the CEO and founder of SoftBank: “[He} has a vision and he is investing in foundational platforms that will change how we work and travel. We share that vision.”

Peloton: $500M

Peloton’s growth exploded in 2018 as it launched its $4,000 treadmill, doubled down on original fitness streaming content and raised an additional $500 million in equity funding at a $5 billion valuation. The New York-based startup, often referred to as the “Netflix of fitness,” has raised nearly $1 billion in venture capital funding in the six years since it was founded by John Foley. It’s backed by  L Catterton, True Ventures, Tiger Global and others.

It’s likely Peloton will take the public markets plunge in 2019 much like Uber and Lyft. Foley earlier this year told The Wall Street Journal that though he doesn’t have any concrete plans, 2019 “makes a lot of sense” for its stock market debut.

Katerra, a tech startup based out of Menlo Park, develops, designs and constructs buildings. At the time of its January fundraise, Katerra told TechCrunch it had brought in more than $1.3 billion in bookings for new construction ranging from residential to hospitality and student housing. Founded in 2015 by three former private equity barons, the company has raised a total of $1.1 billion to date from SoftBank, Foxconn, Greenoaks Capital and others.

In June, Katerra announced it would merge with KEF Infra, an offsite manufacturing technology specialist, and would begin operating in India and the Middle East markets.

Opendoor: $725M

Yet another SoftBank investment, San Francisco-based Opendoor is also backed by Fifth Wall Ventures, GV, Andreessen Horowitz and more.

Opendoor’s two big SoftBank-backed investments this year totaled $725 million, valuing the company at $2.5 billion. The deal gave SoftBank a minority stake in Opendoor, an online real estate marketplace, and put one of its five managing directors, Jeff Housenbold, on the company’s board of directors. The round brought Opendoor’s total funding to slightly more than $1 billion — most of which it acquired in 2018, a major year for the company. Founded in 2014, the San Francisco-based startup is also backed by Fifth Wall Ventures, GV, Andreessen Horowitz and more.

According to TechCrunch’s Connie Loizos, Housenbold had hoped to work with Opendoor co-founder and CEO Eric Wu for some time. “The minute he joined [SoftBank] he reached out to me and let me know … saying if there was an opportunity to work together, to reach out to him,” Wu said.

Lyft: $600M

Uber competitor Lyft expanded aggressively in 2018, raised hundreds of millions in additional venture capital funding, and filed confidentially to go public.

Lyft managed to stay quite busy this year. Not only did the ridesharing company raise a $600 million round at a $15.1 billion valuation, it also acquired bike-share operator Motivate and filed confidentially to go public. Founded in 2012 by Logan Green and John Zimmer, the company has long competed with Uber, and will continue to do so as the pair race to the public markets in early-2019. Lyft, much smaller than Uber and only active in the U.S. and Canada, has raised nearly $5 billion in venture backing from KKR, Mayfield, Didi Chuxing, Floodgate and others.

San Francisco-based Lyft has spent much of the last two years expanding rapidly across the U.S. market, as well as pursuing its autonomous vehicle ambitions.

Automation Anywhere: $550M

Automation Anywhere raised a monstrous $550 million Series A in 2018, with support from the SoftBank Vision Fund.

The only surprise to make this list is Automation Anywhere, a 15-year-old provider of robotic process automation. The company raised a total of $550 million in Series A funding, a large chunk of which came from the SoftBank Vision Fund, as well as NEA, General Atlantic and Goldman Sachs. The round valued Automation Anywhere at $2.6 billion. According to PitchBook, this was the first round of institutional backing for the San Jose, Calif.-based company.

In a conversation with TechCrunch, Automation Anywhere CEO Mihir Shukla said they were attracted to SoftBank because of Masayoshi So — the CEO and founder of SoftBank: “[He} has a vision and he is investing in foundational platforms that will change how we work and travel. We share that vision.”

Peloton: $500M

Peloton’s growth exploded in 2018 as it launched its $4,000 treadmill, doubled down on original fitness streaming content and raised an additional $500 million in equity funding at a $5 billion valuation. The New York-based startup, often referred to as the “Netflix of fitness,” has raised nearly $1 billion in venture capital funding in the six years since it was founded by John Foley. It’s backed by  L Catterton, True Ventures, Tiger Global and others.

It’s likely Peloton will take the public markets plunge in 2019 much like Uber and Lyft. Foley earlier this year told The Wall Street Journal that though he doesn’t have any concrete plans, 2019 “makes a lot of sense” for its stock market debut.
