i say vulcan, and who do you think of? spock, who is half human and viewed as such by other vulcans, but is seen as a vulcan by humans, and is never really accepted by either.

klingon? that's worf, adopted by human parents, serving on a federation ship, the historic enemy of the klingons who even in tng are at an teeth gnashed truce with. but worf still tries to express is heritage and is viewed as klingon by his coworkers.

7 of 9 probably has something similar going on, but i haven't gotten that far in voyager.

non-human races on federation vessels/stations are perpetually between worlds. orphaned by their ancestors, not fully assimilated by humanity.

Quark makes me insane because he's literally one of the most tragic characters in all of Star Trek like. Not good enough at being a Ferengi not good enough at being Federation cannot find acceptance or love anywhere except his family but cannot let himself enjoy that love and acceptance because he's stuck trying to conform to a Ferengi ideal that he doesn't even want. Stagnating and unsatisfied left behind by everyone he loves doomed to be alone and it's mostly his own fault. But then he looks like this

FIBER ARTISTS, I want to know what yall do the most so let’s do a demographic poll

I know we are all victims of the fiber art rabbit hole and nearly all of us dabble in more than one craft, so please vote for your MAIN one, the one you do the most, the one you can do with your eyes closed, and maybe share in the tag what else you do! I hope I covered most of the crafts.

EDIT: I apologize to everyone who is annoyed that their specialty is not there, there were 12 spots and I tried to group some crafts as I could. Especially for everyone who feels offended by the absence of QUILTING: it was my intention to cover it with “sewing” and the “/ clothes making” was more thought as a “or” rather than as “sewing meaning clothes making but not quilting”.
