Dr. Brennan.

If you are an average joe she will sit next to you in silence, but if you have anything she particularly dislikes about you she will be very open with her criticism.

Agent Booth.

He’s the guy sitting and reading the newspaper with his legs crossed. He’d be smoking a tobacco pipe if those were still allowed to be smoked on subways.

Angela Montenegro.

She’s obviously getting very annoyed at the fact the train is moving while she’s attempting to draw, but is still unrelenting in her attempts. Draw–frustrated sigh–erase, repeat for the entire ride.

Dr. Hodgins.

He’s sitting on his phone while reading conspiracies on 4-Chan. He has headphones on but he keeps audibly reacting. You’re pretty sure that you just heard him say “that’s not where a submarine goes!” angrily.

Zachary Addy.

He is sitting and staring directly at the person sitting across himself. Doing nothing, maybe twiddling his thumbs idly. He’s not actually staring, that’s just where his eyes go when he zones out. He doesn’t react when spoken to, and doesn’t speak.

Dr. Saroyan, Dr. Edison, Arastoo Vaziri, Dr. Sweets.

They’re the ideal neighbor, casual social formalities if spoken to but will not initiate conversation. Probably using their phone.

Dr. Wick.

Keeps trying to spout off about her relationship problems, maybe show you pictures of her baby.

Colin Fisher.

Silent except for random quips he formed from a train of thought you were NOT involved in. Very confusing. Also very morbid. “Death is a lowly reward after all that life puts you through.” Without any context and not making eye contact. He also ‘man-spread’s very wide, it’s like his body doesn’t have enough energy to stay up.

Vincent Nigel-Murray.

He’ll try to strike up conversation multiple times, usually with random trivia. Only way he’ll stop is if you put in headphones.

Finn Abernathy.

He’s sitting and listening to music (with headphones) so loud that the person sitting across from him can hear the acoustic guitar, even over the sound of a train operating.

Caroline Julian.

She ranting about her current legal case. She only has 12 hours to get a warrant? For what? Oh. That must be difficult. Excuse me, why were you in front of a body covered in beetles? Oh.

this template is so good i did it myself without realizing someone had already done it. some of ours are the same op! i have a few different characters in there though, especially since im not caught up on my rewatch.

re sexualising nuns and monks of course there's more stuff with nuns because the stakes there are control and power over women's bodies either in a typical "i want what's denied to me" way or more genuinely in a belief in the liberating power of sex way. now with monks it's not just the haircut it's also that monasticism implies a degree of symbolical castration that most men and sadly also women find unattractive and laughable + there's nothing at stake (woman renouncing worldly sexuality for a patriarcal religion = we have to save her / man renouncing worldly sexuality for a patriarcal religion = who gives a shit) so it has to be done by true perverts purely for the love of the game. which works well because there is so much material in medieval theology and religious sexuality like a lot of stuff around mpreg or that idea of castration for instance but very few people are tuned into that... tldr i should put the "research interests include medieval theology" part of my academic cv to good use and write some monk fiction as an example
