Paul Mazursky
Physique: Husky Build Height: 5’ 5" (1.65 m)
Irwin Lawrence "Paul" Mazursky (April 25, 1930 – June 30, 2014; aged 84) was an American film director, screenwriter, and actor. Known for his dramatic comedies that often dealt with modern social issues, he was nominated for five Academy Awards for Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice (1969), An Unmarried Woman (1978), Harry and Tonto (1974), and Enemies, A Love Story (1989).
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Mazursky graduated from Brooklyn College in 1951. After making his feature debut as an actor in Stanley Kubrick's Fear and Desire (1953), Mazursky went on to write for The Danny Kaye Show (CBS, 1963-67) while also penning the pilot episode for The Monkees (NBC, 1966-68). He directed his first movie with Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice (1969). He went on to direct several fine movies in the following decade, including Blume in Love (1973) and Harry and Tonto (1974), before having one of his biggest hits with the feminist-themed An Unmarried Woman (1978).
Mazursky continued to charm audiences with Moscow on the Hudson (1984) while having perhaps his greatest box office success with Down and Out in Beverly Hills (1986). Following an atypical effort with the tragic-comic Enemies: A Love Story (1989), Mazursky began to stumble as a director with Scenes from a Mall (1991) and The Pickle (1993). While leaving feature directing largely behind, Mazursky made acting appearances in several movies and on television shows, while making clear as the years passed that he had left the director's chair for good. Mazursky died in Los Angeles on June 30, 2014 at the age of 84.
Mazursky was married to librarian and social worker Betsy Mazursky (née Purdy) from 1953 until his death. They had two daughters, Meg and Jill. Mazursky was an atheist.

When you've lastly chosen a painting contractor you wish to discuss your industrial painting project with, you should initially confirm their license and/or certifications. These crucial elements are essential to not just the quality of work they can provide, however can likewise confirm their level of expertise. This verification can make or break your choice to employ this painting specialist. Maybe the most important component of working with a painting professional includes insurance. Any credible industrial painting specialist will have current basic liability and employee's settlement insurance coverage. It's required by law. Do they have insurance coverage? Once you discover a reputable painting contractor to complete your job, you can likewise contract with them on an as-needed basis for the upkeep of your center. This initial search might be time-consuming, however the result will be worth the effort in the long run. If your upkeep budget for the present operating year has taken a hit, you may be wondering how to get an industrial painting project achieved in addition to whatever else. 2 possible services to project budgeting are purpose-driven costs and altering the contracting process. The most typical view of a painting task is a simple maintenance and facilities up-keep. Justifying painting and coating projects as preventative upkeep is relatively easy because surface treatment can prevent damages to the underlying structure. If the budget plan separates preventative maintenance funds from operating costs, you might package the painting job according to its real purpose to get the financing. Nevertheless, painting and covering can be a lot more than easy maintenance. In a retail setting, the look of a structure can have a direct effect on the amount of business the facility can attract. If the existing upkeep spending plan can not support a painting project, possibly the marketing spending plan could. As a commercial painting budget service, changing the contracting process may appear like using a sledgehammer to break a walnut. However, the cost savings from a brand-new way of administering agreements can be significant, particularly if your facility does a great deal of outsourcing. Numerous big companies adjust a job order contracting system (JOC) to manage their contracting process. A JOC system is a kind of indefinite need and indefinite quantity contracting system which counts on pre-defined base costs for services. Contractors bid by increasing the base rates by a selected coefficient. JOC systems are frequently utilized by schools, government companies and other organizations to enhance their contracting procedure. The real savings come from decreased advertising costs, reduced administrative requirements, and a quicker RFP to complete job time. According to a white paper released by Centennial Contractors Enterprise, Inc., the cost savings associated with a JOC system can be approximately 21 percent of basic costs. The advantage of a JOC system is that as soon as in location to cover a painting project, the system is equally appropriate to essentially every other outsourced aspect of facilities budgeting. However, if you are not presently utilizing a JOC system, you ought to highly consider hiring an expert specialist to help you execute the program. Facility budget plans are not likely to increase anytime soon, so imaginative options are a must to find room in the budget plan for business painting, building and upkeep projects. You've decided to employ an expert painting professional for a job at your corporation or small company. Eventually, the list of professional painting contractors might appear endless, however upon closer evaluation of their certifications and resources, your list of options narrows drastically. In the Christmas Carol AU I’ve decided Bramblestar and Squirrelflight would’ve finally split up a year before the story. This would allow us to include The Love is Gone from the deleted scene as well as contribute to Bramblestar’s cruel behaviour and how the cats in the clan view him. I imagine the breakup came after quite the explosive argument where Bramblestar got REALLY nasty to the point some cats felt the need to intervene, and in a quieter moment that night Squirrelflight would catch him where he’d sulked off outside of camp and firmly break it off with him. While Bramblestar is devastated knowing him he doesn’t take long to go from sulking to cruelty. He’d be extra critical to Squirrelflight as a deputy, SH levels of micromanagement, undermining and general nastiness. You can tell he’s basically waiting for her to slip up just enough for him to kick her out of her position altogether. However without Squirrelflight tolerating his cruelty nearly as much and with him generally being more bitter as a result he has become substantially meaner to every other cat, he’s effectively pushed away his entire family and everyone thereafter. This contributes to the way everyone views him as like Scrooge in the story along with the disillusionment with his behaviour and the infallibility of leaders in general after Ashfur.
Lionblaze would play the role of Fred (the nephew) from the OG, he comes across as the cat who’d tolerate Bramblestar the most IMO with Lionblaze’s own increased aggression with age while also still being a bit of a beefhead, still slightly holding onto his idolisation of him from his kit/apprentice age but aware of how he is enough to poke fun at him in Who Am I.
I’ve also decided the Marley’s will just be Tigerstar and Hawkfrost second death be damned. This could all be a dream for all we know and also it’s a Muppets Christmas Carol AU none of this is canon compliant in the slightest. I like the image of Hawkfrost always smiling and Tigerstar always scowling even when laughing as a sort of design parallel to the two theatre masks 🎭 <- these things.
Sorry for the long ask I have A Lot of thoughts I love this AU.
This is excellent I love this

Flood damage happens fast and, at many times, unexpectedly especially after a long period of steady and substantial rain. You may end up asking yourself how it happened and how to fix the flood damage. What steps should you take? What water restoration equipment to use? Those are all legitimate questions when pondering whether to hire someone or fix water damage yourself to restore your home or business to its previous state.
Of course, you can't control the flow of floodwaters. But a little pre-planning and preparation can help lessen the burden if it does happen.
Wetness and damp settling into almost everything you own after a flood is something that bothers every flood victim. The household things need to be replaced immediately for practical purposes, and the water remaining behind in the house becomes a breeding ground for viral agents.

Movie Review - “Amazing Grace”
When Aretha Franklin sang “Amazing Grace” inside Los Angeles’ New Temple Missionary Baptist Church on Jan. 13, 1972, Rev. James Cleveland was so overcome with emotion he left the piano bench, took a seat and planted his head in his hands.
Now that the footage of the event has finally - finally - been released as the movie of the same name, it’s easy to see and hear why. Resplendent in a white dress and standing in the pulpit, the 29-year-old Franklin spends 10 minutes singing the spiritual with minimal musical accompaniment and grabbing the mic for support as she loses herself in the song.
If there is a god, he, she or it must’ve been pleased. And anyone - believer or not - who sees it and doesn’t have some sort of visceral response (for Sound Bites, it was tightness in the throat; Mrs. Sound Bites gasped audibly) is likely already dead.
Filmed by director Sydney Pollack over two nights during recording sessions for what became the best-selling gospel album of all time, also titled Amazing Grace, the movie sat unused for nearly five decades because of technical issues and Franklin’s objections before being resurrected just after the Queen of Soul’s death and released in theaters just before Easter.
Cleveland calls Franklin “the First Lady of Music.” And that’s probably an apter name as Franklin proves she’s as much a gospel singer as a soul queen.
Backed by Cleveland; her band, which includes guitarist Cornell Dupree, drummer Bernard Purdie and bassist Chuck Rainey; and the Southern California Community Choir under the direction of the infectiously effusive Rev. Alexander Hamilton, Franklin sings her way through contemporary numbers such as Marvin Gaye’s “Wholly Holy” and Carole King’s “You’ve Got a Friend” and traditional spirituals including “Mary Don’t You Weep” and “Climbing Higher Mountains.”
Chatter about the specialness of this event must’ve gotten out, because by the second night the church was much fuller and the audience included Clara Ward, Mick Jagger and Charlie Watts and Rev. C.L. Franklin, who flew in from Detroit and proudly wiped the sweat from his daughter’s face as she sat at a piano singing absolutely soul-stirring rendition of “Never Grow Old.”
The film is a visual as well as audio treasure - a time machine to ’72 with big Afros, colorful clothing and lots of mustaches seen in the audience and among the performers. Dressed in black with silver sequins, the choir sat behind the star and exalted in Franklin’s religious fervor. Meanwhile, audience members looked to the sky in praise and danced with abandon as the magnificent power of the human voice gave life to the supernatural.
Franklin barely speaks during the 90-minute film and backstage preparations are minimal in the finished product. But it doesn’t matter and the producers were wise to let the music do the preaching.
It’s a sin it took so long for “Amazing Grace” to emerge. But the second coming of Franklin’s 1972 live album was worth the wait.
Grade card: “Amazing Grace” - A

This beautiful gown has been used at least nineteen times over the years, predominantly on book covers. It was first used in the 1984 Dutch mini-series Willem van Oranje, where it was worn by Machteld Ramoudt as Louise de Coligny. Not long after it was seen again in 1984 in a commercial for Hamlet Cigars, which you can view here.
In 1989 it appeared in the episode of A Bit of a Do entitled The Farewell Party, where it was worn by Nicola Pagett as Liz Badger. It was not spotted again until 2004 (though it almost certainly was used) in the mini-series The Virgin Queen, where it appeared on an extra.
After this point, the costume begins to appear on numerous book covers, often heavily photoshopped and many of them from the same photo shoots, some of which can be attributed to Richard Jenkins photography. In 2007 the costume appeared on re-print of a 1955 Jean Plaidy novel entitled Lord Robert. Next it was seen on Mary, Queen of France on a 2007 reissue of a 1964 novel, also by Plaidy. Next was the 2008 Elizabeth and Leicster by Sarah Gristwood, followed by the 2009 by The Virgin’s Daughter by Jeane Westin and The King’s Daughter by Christie Dickason. In 2010 came The Tudor Wife by Emily Purdy, as well as a re-print of the 1981 The Princeling by Cyntia Harrod Eagles.
The gown - though never seen this way before or since - must either have a duplicate, or have removable sleeves, because in 2011 it appeared on a re-print of a 1963 Jean Plaidy novel The Captive Queen of Scots without its distinctive sleeves, but clearly showcasing the detailed stomacher and skirt.
In 2012 the gown was seen again, back in its usual form in the The Soul Mirror by Carol Berg, as well as on two more Jean Plaidy novels - a re-print of the 1989 The Queen’s Secret and the 1965 The Three Crowns. In 2013 it appeared on the covers of The Royal Mistress by Anne Easter Smith and The Lost Duchess by Jenny Barden.
Finally, in 2013 it appeared in a real production again - this time on a background extra in the 2013 Summer in February. But by 2014 it was appearing on book covers again - this time on Jane Feather’s All the Queen’s Pleasures, before finally being seen in 2015 on Aurélie Meriel as Louise in the Dutch film Michiel De Ruyter.

Thoughts: The Vespertine = Venom x Sabriel comparison is accurate. The beginning was a little slow for me, but it was such snarky goodness (and no romance! A YA fantasy with no romance? I know!).
Read Bottle of Lies if you want to be mad at the world and even more frustrated with capitalism (is that possible?).
And - I need to read a Chuck Tingle book to close out a reading challenge. Any recommendations?

When you've finally chosen a painting specialist you wish to discuss your business painting task with, you ought to first verify their license and/or certifications. These crucial components are necessary to not only the quality of work they can provide, but can likewise validate their level of knowledge. This confirmation can make or break your choice to hire this painting contractor. Possibly the most essential component of hiring a painting contractor includes insurance. Any reputable commercial painting contractor will have present basic liability and worker's compensation insurance coverage. It's needed by law. Do they have insurance? What is covered and what limitations of coverage do they maintain? The important information of liability in various scenarios must be discussed with your lawyer. It is eventually your duty to make sure the specialist you employ is covered effectively for your project. Discovering an expert and skilled painting professional does not need to be hard. Once you discover a reliable painting contractor to complete your project, you can likewise contract with them on an as-needed basis for the maintenance of your center. This preliminary search may be time-consuming, however the outcome will be worth the effort in the long run. If your maintenance budget for the existing operating year has actually taken a hit, you might be questioning how to get an industrial painting project accomplished together with everything else. Two possible options to project budgeting are purpose-driven costs and changing the contracting process. The most common view of a painting task is a simple maintenance and centers up-keep. Validating painting and covering tasks as preventative upkeep is reasonably simple due to the fact that surface area treatment can prevent damages to the underlying structure. If the budget plan separates preventative maintenance funds from operating expenses, you could package the painting job according to its real purpose to get the funding. Nevertheless, painting and covering can be a lot more than basic maintenance. In a retail setting, the appearance of a structure can have a direct influence on the amount of business the facility can attract. If the existing upkeep budget can not support a painting project, possibly the marketing spending plan could. As a commercial painting spending plan solution, altering the contracting procedure might look like utilizing a sledgehammer to crack a walnut. However, the cost savings from a new method of administering contracts can be substantial, particularly if your center does a great deal of outsourcing. Many big organizations adapt a task order contracting system (JOC) to handle their contracting procedure. A JOC system is a type of indefinite need and indefinite quantity contracting system which depends on pre-defined base rates for services. Professionals bid by multiplying the base prices by a selected coefficient. JOC systems are often utilized by schools, federal government firms and other companies to enhance their contracting process. The genuine cost savings originated from lowered marketing costs, reduced administrative needs, and a quicker RFP to complete task time. According to a white paper published by Centennial Contractors Enterprise, Inc., the savings associated with a JOC system can be up to 21 percent of basic expenses. The advantage of a JOC system is that once in place to cover a painting job, the system is equally applicable to virtually every other outsourced element of facilities budgeting. However, if you are not presently using a JOC system, you need to strongly think about working with an expert specialist to assist you execute the program. Center spending plans are not most likely to increase anytime quickly, so innovative solutions are a must to find room in the spending plan for commercial painting, construction and upkeep jobs. You've decided to work with an expert painting contractor for a task at your corporation or small business. Eventually, the list of professional painting professionals might seem endless, but upon closer inspection of their certifications and resources, your list of choices narrows significantly. Professional painting specialists use differing levels of services, but their experience level and knowledge of your specific project can vary significantly. Next, when you have actually prepared a shortlist of potential painting specialists, call them and ask for a list of task sites or pictures of comparable tasks they've done in the past for you to review. When you've finally chosen on a painting professional you would like to discuss your industrial painting task with, you should first verify their license and/or accreditations.

Okay I’ve been given permission to bombard about the Christmas Carol AU so here goes.
I like to think it would take place on longest night and still be Christmas themed. I like to imagine that it’s tradition to stay up for the whole longest night if they choose to, as long as they aren’t a kit. They’d try and sleep a lot through the previous day, decorate in the evening then stay up socialising, sharing stories and playing whatever games they can in camp at winter. This particular Longest Night however, Bramblestar is being a real grouch. Squirrelflight has probably done anything except be an adoring wife which has put him in a mood and he tries to take it out on the clan because they’re all so excited. Forcing more cats than usual to wake up in the day with excuses of patrols, then in the evening saying that since you’re all still staying up then you can go on MORE patrols instead of wasting time in camp etc before just going to bed alone at the normal time. Cue ghost shenanigans.
I’m not entirely sure who would be Marley because my initial thought was Hawkfrost, but obviously his ghost is dead. Though this is an AU so we could just put him back, I’m open to other ideas though. If we’re going muppets route more so the other Marley could be Tigerstar, but I also like the idea of it being Mudclaw because while Bramble never worked with him in life Hawkfrost did. (I would suggest Ashfur but as this is kinda dependent on the broken code I feel he’d have to be gone) Again open to suggestions.
Present feels like the easier choice as this ghost I feel would work best if they were a more recent death. And it just so happens we have our very own old round funny boy who just died. Basically it would most likely be Graystripe. I do think Purdy would also work here however, and since he met Purdy on the journey he might even be more connected to him.
I like the scene in Muppets Christmas Carol where his relatives are playing what am I and the answer is Scrooge, so that scene can stay just adapted to warriors (unwanted animal in the city is now unwanted animal in the forest basically) Force this man to reflect on how he’s made his family see him damn it.I like the idea of the ghosts being cats who he has met in life. Ghost of Christmas Past feels like it should most obviously be Snowkit. Though I have considered Mistlekit too, if I’m not mistaken she was Snowkits sibling who just disappeared from the books? I suggest her because her name might be slightly more Christmassy and the ghost of Christmas past is depicted as a girl more often than not, as well as the fact she disappeared making her a bit more mysterious. Snowkit is probably still the better option though as we know him better and did see him playing with Bramblekit and Tawnykit in the books I believe. Tadpole could also work here being his brother.
I have NO IDEA who would play ghost of Christmas future so PLEASE offer ideas. I like both the idea of it being a cat he’s never met or one that even we may have never seen as it’d add to the mystery and uneasiness. I also like the idea of it being someone who he was very close to in life like Firestar or Goldenflower, yet they’re still silent and emotionless in this moment which would be quite distressing to him. You could put a lot of things in the future segment, as you wouldn’t need an explanation as to how they would happen besides ‘if you don’t change this is what the future looks like’. One I’ve fought of is just an empty clan camp in a state of disarray, not even a tuft of fur stuck on a branch or sign that there was once anyone there. Just the silence and howling wind. Then the spirit directs him to the leaders den, where his body lies alone without even being buried. And we get the grovelling for forgiveness and promises to be better. That’s just one idea though and I’d love to hear other futures!
I couldn’t come up with a Bob Crachit like storyline to go along with this as I prefer more focus on his own family that he’s hurt, but feel free to share your own if you think of one.
I really love this!
Maybe the ghost of Christmas future could be Rock? Considering he generally looks creepy to the clan cats and just generally has a mystical air about him. Or maybe Thunderstar? For the future segment also maybe he could see the gathering following his death and no one cares that he’s died?
I think Mistlekit would be a really good choice for Christmas past. Or maybe even Fluttering Bird considering she died young and has seen the entire history of the clans occur from beyond the grave
If Hawkfrost is still double dead in this AU maybe the otherMarley could be Onestar alongside Mudclaw, given their shared history and how ultimately their actions both ended up failing and endangering their clanmates?
And yeah I think Graystripe or Purdy would be perfect as Present
