*pouts* no asking about Tangled AU? Unfaaaaaair. But fine, fine, I'm your friend, I shall not be mean. Then tell me about /Grad-student Writer!Bucky x Undergrad Artist!Steve/ because that sounds loooovely 😍

I'm sorry, I just really have nothing new to report :( Hopefully soon I'll get some inspiration for that one!

But!! Okay, so I was obsessed with this idea a couple months back. It's one of my moodboards that then spiraled into an actual idea that I was very determined to write. It... hasn't happened yet, but, y'know, fingers crossed. Anyway, it stars grad student Bucky who's decided he's going to write a graphic novel for his creative writing thesis (which is based on what one of my friends did, actually; her script was AMAZING). He wants someone to illustrate the GN, so he goes through his university's forums until he happens upon Steve Rogers, a junior looking for some extra illustration work. Thus starts a semester-long email-chain where they get to know one another and obviously some mutual pining is going on, and it all comes to a head when Bucky finally spots a paint-stained blond in the library...

I don't have anything written for this, story-wise, but I have a lot of the character details fleshed out, so I can show you some of that!

Bucky’s going for his Master of Fine Arts degree (got his BA in Creative Writing from Ball State University before moving to New York for grad school) and Steve is a dual Studio Art and Political Science major (he’s well aware the two have very little, if anything, to do with each other, but he set his mind to the task in freshman year and hasn’t looked back since) with a minor in Art History. They’ve never crossed paths on campus, given they don’t have any classes together, though eventually they do find out they have a few mutual friends (Scott Lang — just started his Electrical Engineering Masters this year; Wanda Maximoff — foreign exchange student who came over in her sophomore year and decided to transfer to the States, got permission to take a few grad classes which is how she met Bucky; Carol Danvers and Maria Rambeu, recent graduates who like to drop by campus to see their friends)

Steve’s separate friends: Sam Wilson, Psychology major looking to get into psychiatry; Peggy Carter, ex-girlfriend who moved back to London to finish her degree, still very friendly with Steve (possibly has a new girlfriend in Angie Martinelli but is also very fond of Daniel Sousa — irrelevant maybe but could be a poly relationship)

Bucky’s separate friends: Natasha Romanov, Political Science major who’s also taken every language class NYU has to offer and practices ballet (also on NYU’s dance team); Clint Barton, childhood friend of Natasha majoring in Communications, practices archery at a local club
