i love all the aus where thad has a happy ending and stays with max & helen & bart because how tf would they explain that to bart’s civilian friends. how would they account for the sudden appearance of a long lost twin brother. bart and carol stay up all night workshopping possible explanations and write a whole soap opera about how they were separated at birth that’s frankly more ridiculous and unbelievable than the real story. preston decides that enough crazy shit has happened in bart’s life that he HAS to make a documentary about it and ‘shadows’ bart to get day in the life content. cue incredibly typical close-call shenanigans featuring bart shoving his costume in a closet while preston’s back is turned, talking about ‘his cousin wally west from keystone city- OH HAHA not THAT wally west,’ etc etc. this is how preston finally accidentally finds out that he’s impulse, because after bart does everything he can to keep it secret thad just shows up in his inertia costume and waves hi. preston is less mad about the whole impulse thing than he is about the fact that now he can’t share his documentary

my favourite bart moment will forever be the one max explains he gets bored waiting for the light to turn on. its such a weirdly melancholic moment. its a moment of solidarity from max and newfound understanding from carol and helen. its kinda funny but it also makes you understand him better

there are a lot of moments that are top notch but this one stays with me

The boy's ambient speed is faster than light. It really does put some things into perspective about Bart and why he is like that.

i mean TECHNICALLY you could say bart rearranged reality when he unknowingly used his scouts to save max and helen from keller. that through sheer despair alone, he was able to remake reality in his image, even if it was at the cost of carol. but like, that was his first major step into altering reality, if you discount his and max’s trip into the past. he couldn’t save carol bc he didn’t know what he was truly capable of, but that changed with kid flash lost. in kid flash lost, only by becoming the black flash does he realize he can do ANYTHING, even become life as the white flash.

in rebirth, the scouts didn’t HAVE to remake reality for bart while he despaired. in rebirth, he despaired but he also made the conscious CHOICE to reality-hop until he found kon. the man, from the start, has been the most overpowered godling this side of dc comics, and we love to see it 😂

I think preston is a YouTuber who makes documentaries from his bedroom but he's actually decent at it and has a pretty good patreon

actually I’m not over it can we talk about how carol knows bart’s mom better than he does. can we talk about how meloni got to care for and look after carol for weeks/months and be an actual mother figure to her which is something bart has never and will never get to have. can we.

Drawing them with a baby yesterday made me think about if I thought Prestonbart would have kids and the answer is not necessarily but IF they were to have a kid, it would be in this sort of constellation. Carol decides to have a kid, asks Bart and/or Preston to be a known donor, they discuss this with each other and eventually decide yeah, a kid sounds rad, but they'd like to be properly involved, as dads not just fun uncles. So -- et voilà -- three parent family. Also, the free space in this image bothers me immensely.
