Morning Routines

A/N: I’m writhing in pain in bed but take this. It’s really just Rory being socially awkward.

  The cafeteria was as loud as usual yet one table was unnervingly quiet. Deuce nervously picked at his food before groaning and directing his attention to his friend, whom was busy glaring at one of their upperclassmen from across the room. “Rory, you’re doing that thing again.” Without looking away he asked, “What thing?” Ace replied, “For someone who hates eye contact, you’re terrible at remembering to blink.” Rory’s eyes stung as he blinked. “I don’t know how they do it.” He spoke up. Ace and Deuce looked around but couldn’t figure out who he was talking about. Jack, who was sitting across from them at the table, kicked their legs. “Now you’re both staring.” He pointed out, “No we’re not!” The duo answered in unison.

  Rory focused back on his food, “How do people like Zagarius and Vil get up every morning and look gorgeous for the day?” He wondered.  “If you’re so curious then go ask one of them.” Ace said with a mouth full of food. Rory picked up Grim from his lap and plopped him onto Rose’s. She was trying to eat her food in peace but happily snuggled close to Grim. He wordlessly stood up and began making his way towards the tall hound beastman across the room. 

  The others at the table looked at each other in a panic. 

  “I was kidding!” 

  “Where are you going?”

  “He’s going to get in so much trouble.”

  Ignoring the others, Rory pushed past rambunctious students until he stood right in front of NRC’s infamous Zagarius Hekkate. Despite them both wearing a variation of platforms and heels, Zagarius still towered over him. Rory also now realized he didn’t plan out what to say to him. 

  The beastman quirked a brow, “Do you need something?” He asked. His tone seemed neutral enough. Rory averted his gaze and instead looked at the floor. Not out of nerves but, habit. “Uhm…” something. Something. Some- “How long does it take for you to get ready every morning?” “Pardon?” 

  A pause. 

  Until finally Rory cringed at his own wording, “I’m so sorry. That sounds so weird, I’m going now.” He turned to leave when Zagarius finally spoke up, “Was it my makeup or my hair that piqued your interest?” Rory froze, “What-“ 

  A new face bounded over, “Zagger is a pretty puppy with a soft spot for his juniors.” Rory looked at the person who seemed to enter their conversation herself. He recognized her as a Pomefiore student alongside Blanche. Zagarius sighed as he greeted him, “Hello Carla, can I help YOU?” Carla covered his laugh, “Nope, but I overheard his question.” Rory internally facepalmed. Zagarius turned back towards Rory, “An hour. Between makeup, hair, and getting my belongings sorted out.” Rory nodded along, “Thanks. I uh…don’t understand how students like you and Vil can look so nice so early.” 

  A smirk graced the taller man’s face, “It’s only natural as a servant of the Shroud family to look their best.” His ears perked, “I would get going now.” “Why?” “For the bell is about to toll.” A moment passed and sure enough, the bell rang. Everyone began rushing around yet a voice broke through the crowd, “Come on Rory we’re gonna be late!” 

  “Coming, Rose!” He called back but when he turned to say bye to Zagarius, he was gone. Carla laughed as she walked off, “He likes disappearing with the wind.” Rory’s head tilted with confusion but ran ahead to his friends.

La Extraordinaire

Event overview

A show-stoping theatre on Sage’s Island has just opens its doors to the public! La Extraordinaire is an all new sensational theatre-restaurant, that offers endless forms of live entertainment whether it’s through music, singing, dancing, comedy or magical performances, there’s no limit to what can be shown on stage. Along with the serving of delicious foods, the theatre is a high end experience accompanied by its own unique dress code for its guests.

With this grand opening, the theatre has opens its doors to several students from both NRC and RSA to attend and enjoy the beauty of the theatre. However four students have been selected to not only enjoy the theatre’s performances but to be a part of the list of acts that will take place. The students selected to perform on stage are Deuce Spade , Rook Hunt, Jamil Viper, and Lilia Vanrouge. The selected students are allowed to decide on whether they’d like to perform in pairs or as a soloist. There’s no rule to what their acts can be so long as they come prepared to entertain and wow the crowd.

But where do yuu fit into these performances?

A special invitation has been given out to yuu, (and Grim of course after his insistence to tag along his henchmen) one that not only allows them to be a guest and spectator of all the performances but to join the stage should they choose too.

🌸: wow its is so enchanting! Almost magical!!

🌸: i wish that Yuno and Yume would sing along with me, but Yume is dealing with Grimm and the Adeuce shenanigans and Yuno is busy trying to keep these four in line, especially the Grimm. Hah...its kinda sucks.

🌸: Miss Coquille is so Sweet, so enchanting- (ah maybe i should stop here, or i will be looking like Hunt-Senpai...) i hope to be more closer to her.

🌸: Sebek is strange. I don't really know why Sebek calls Miss Sanderson a "Witch" she seems to be so nice. And her performance was incredible! But is Sabek we are talking to...you know him. But i hopehe didn't hear me...

🌸: I really loved the dress! Remind me of the dresses my grandpa maked a long time ago for my grandma! I wish both would hear and see me sing like this again...

"And... done!" Mak was bouncing on the balls of their feet as they backed up and handed Carla a hand mirror excitedly. Whoa.

It was strange enough seeing Mak in her personal style, an almost complete opposite to their own grungey taste. But with the intentionally smudged grey makeup around his eyes, and the dark blue lipstick, Carla felt like a completely different person. "Jeez..."

Mak was smiling wide, their tail wagging. "You look amazing dude."

Carla grinned. "We should go get Cater. He'd love to be part of this."

Mak matched Carla's grin, their tail wagging faster. "You are so right. He'd love to be our mannequin."

The look on his face when he saw the two was priceless, and he immediately requested a photoshoot of the two. :)

They proceeded to dress Cater up in both styles at the same time, and they had ice cream, and watched rom-coms.

This isn't proper writing anymore, but this is the scene I saw and I find it adorable, and when I find a way to articulate the screeching in my head, I will have to properly structure this TvT sorry Rini <3

carla's back story for if you wanna talk to him when it's his bday ^_^

Carla was an only child with biological parents. She was born and raised in Briar Valley, her mother having some blood from the Coral Sea.

Carla’s father line had an ongoing business of jewelry, passed down from generation to generation. Carla, ever since he was young, he had admired and loved his father very much.

Carla learned emotions, craft, the human mind, from his dad, which now saying out loud doesn’t sound right… does it?

And Carla had a great life at school, in middle school she was happy and thriving with his group of close friends, everything was great! until…

Carla’s father was found a fraud and a scammer. Taken away from his family, Carla was horrified to learn that someone she looked up to for so long and loved, was someone unworthy of love.

But Carla will never ever forget what that man told her ALL the time before he was taken to jail.

“You’ll always be daddy’s kid”

Carla hated that so much, and because the main income for money had disappeared for the Coquille family, and so was their reputation, Carla and her mother delved into borderline poverty.

The kids at school didn’t make this anymore easy, in the short month that Carla stayed at school before leaving cause of financial ruin, they bullied and harassed Carla for simply having an asshole for a dad.

During the years of poverty, Carla lived among the worst, seeing what his dad told him into play, seeing the desperate, the ugly, the cursed, she knew it all. from her dad.

he really is daddy’s kid.

Eventually, Carla and his mom had survived and found a new place to start over, leading Carla to have a makeover, physically and mentally.

Carla refuses to talk about his past with anyone, lying and keeping everyone away from him out of fear for them and himself.

Very secretive yet extroverted, despite saying many things, not many people can tell what she’s like deep down. And thats for the better.

Another silly, yet well intentioned peer who likes to stir the pot for the other third years.

“ Worm On a Hook ”

With this, Carla can take on any form/shell of anyone she knows, and by doing so, the person he turns into loses their voice. And in turn, Carla can use their UM once. As for how long, Carla can only take on this shell for no more than two hours.

Any damage done to the shell, damages him as well.

🐚 Relationships ! 🐚

Vil doesn’t like Carla too much, because of her UM, Carla likes to use it to tease and/or mock his housewarden by shifting into Neige or himself. But Vil cannot get too mad since other than their jokes, Carla’s record is squeaky clean, always up to standard with looks and grace (outside of their dorm). However Vil doesn’t appreciate the secrecy that Carla lies in, but she does help with rowdy dormmates when Rook cannot. Overall neutral-neutral.

Rook and Carla are good acquaintances, friends even. They got along well in all their years together, building a fun bond that makes the others students nervous due to their mischievous and mysterious antics. They’re iconic in their own way, often exchanging fun stories at lunch or passing periods. If you piss off one, don’t be surprised when the other appears right after you. This pair is chaotic-good.

Epel was initially scared of Carla, already put off and pissed with their housewarden, Epel didn’t want to know what his classmates were like. But soon Epel started to enjoy and appreciate Carla for their personality, always giving them a heads up on where to pay more attention to, when Vil is going to see him so Epel and can straighten up. Carla finds the freshman cute, but always stops himself out of respect, earning respect from Epel. But thats not to say that he hasn’t seen Carla being sketchy at times. They are neutral-good.

Trey and Carla had shared class together in their second year, leading them to be on pretty good terms, though Trey has heard rumors and things about those who cross Carla. So he decides to be a bit more picky with his words around his, secretly, he doesn’t see what the others see when they say that Carla is a threatening figure, especially since his peer is literally in a relationship with her. It’s a close lawful-good.

Cater and Carla have been very good friends ever since the second half of their first year, starting out by just simply being Magicam follower mutuals. They would often bump into each other at popular venues that were/are trending on the internet. Eventually they would just plan to meet up, sharing many pictures and just as much time with each other, rumors in both dorms would spread that the two were dating before they even were. Cater fell first, but Carla arguably fell harder. Good-chaotic (or love chaotic idk).

Leona and Carla.. what a pair. The two are frenemies at best and a chaotic duo at worst, wreaking havoc when they’re both feeling mutually pissed. They share PE classes for two years straight, so they’ve been accustomed to the other’s antics, they often get into cat fights while broom stick flying, swerving into each other like this is some car race, do not put these two in the same dorm ever. The two share the same energy of chaotic-evil.

Idia and Carla do not interact very much, but Carla adores his little brother and often socializes with him, so if you mixed that with the faint rumors about Carla (and Rook at times), with Ortho’s positive opinions about the student, Idia is just left with: whatever she’s a normie, its not like we’d get along anyway. Carla doesn’t mind, she knows what it’s like to be overwhelmed by simply being in social places. On both ends, neutral-neutral.

Lilia has only really seen Carla when he visits his partner at the music club, catching glimpses of raw affection between the two, often saying old man things like “oh young love”, and so on. Lilia never cared for the words that were spread about Carla, his moments with Cater already tells a lot on how the Diasomnia student should perceive her. Maybe surprisingly, lawful-good.

Malleus and Carla are simply seatmates in the back of the classroom, they don’t interact too much but they’re not awkward when one has a question. Carla nearly choked on air when he saw that THE Malleus Draconia was in his class. On the rare occasion that they do have a conversation, it’s always Carla’s teasing nature with Malleus’s “mhm yes” nature. Overall neutral-positive.
