NOTE TO SELF: One of the things I'm looking for in a sandwich is a little bit of each ingredient in each bite, but this sandwich failed in that regard. And no individual ingredient was good enough to stand alone. Also, you can't call this a "homemade" sandwich.

Currently the best meal I've had of two meals.

Vi spiego perché amo Israele: solo storia no politica.

Con la fine della 2ww a partire dal 46, gli agenti del Mossad fecero di tutto per recuperare attrezzature appartenute alla Xª MAS da utilizzare per le loro missioni.

Nel giugno del 46 ci fu un primo incontro tra Ada Seréni ( Mossad in Italia) e il capitano di vascello Agostino Calosi, capo del Servizio Informazioni Segrete (S.I.S.) della Marina, lo stesso ufficiale che aveva fatto prelevare il comandante Borghese al termine della guerra, in modo che fosse processato e non giustiziato.

Dopo aver avuto l’assenso dalle superiori autorità, Calosi ordinò al capitano del genio navale Nino Buttazzoni, ex comandante del battaglione nuotatori paracadutisti, di ricercare il personale più adatto da inviare in Israele.Non poteva essere ovviamente impiegato il personale ancora in servizio e si decise quindi la strada “non ufficiale” ovvero l’impiego di ex militari dei reparti d’assalto della Regia Marina, sia della Xª M.A.S. che di MARIASSALTO. Alcuni accettarono, tra questi il capitano Geo Calderoni, ex appartenente al battaglione nuotatori paracadutisti, e il tenente di vascello Nicola Conte, operatore di S.L.C., che avrebbero istruito gli assaltatori subacquei.

Come istruttore dei mezzi d’assalto di superfice si offrì il capo di terza classe Fiorenzo Capriotti, ex pilota di barchini esplosivi.

Dei 3 personaggi, sopra menzionati, Fiorenzo Capriotti fu elemento fondamentale per la creazione della “Shayetet 13” o “Tredicesima Flottiglia”.
