Week 1, 36 photos task: Proof sheet

These photos were taken with a Canon DSLR 500D that I borrowed from Loan Central. I have NEVER used a DSLR photo before, and as this was my first time I used the camera on auto mode. I have also not used Lightroom, or even Photoshop really before so these are completely unedited, basic photos. Even though these photos were nothing fancy, I really loved seeing how the outcome of these photos is somehow different to how they look when using my phone camera. I feel like the DSLR captures the movement of the trees and birds better than my phone camera does, and the details of things looks much clearer.

These photos were taken in my backyard, on the communal lawn where I live in a complex, and at a small reserve close by. I feel like this was a good starting point to start exploring with photography because these are places I go all the time!

Our first date

I remember when I got my new digital camera, it was a Canon EOS 500D, about 10 years ago. It was planned to be a party night out with my single friends and I canceled because I wanted to go out and take pictures. First I needed to charge the camera and test all the lenses and accessories.
