I find it funny that in fanfiction and movies, the tall girls (typically the tall blonde) is the one seen as the most attractive and is a threat to the main love interest who is supposed to ‘less attractive’ cause they are short or whatever when in actuality.. men prefer short girls BY A LOT. They don’t like tall girls. They want small girls who make them feel all big and manly.

You know how there’s the male vs the female gaze… I feel like Victoria Secret models are for the female gaze and girls like Megan Fox and Madison Beer are the male gaze.

I’m 5’7 so I’m not that tall for a girl but it’s definitely something I notice when I’m out so it makes me giggle when I see this kinda trope in media.

I think i lot of the time in the media when they say “tall, blonde popular girl” the girl is always like 5-5 — 5’6 anyways so they don’t even mean “tall” and i think the only one who describes the girl as “tall” is the female protagonist herself lol.

but yeah i agree most men do prefer tiny/short girls to make themselves look bigger and stronger lol but also its about preference bc i know a lot of guys prefer tall girls. Like the weeknd for example, his type is literally tall skinny model haha.

It’s funny tho, bc if you watch VS angel interviews, they all say they grew up like the tomboy in high school, tall and gangly and unpopular and no boys liked them 😭😭 but now look at them!!!
