@ruinlanced || Sylvain & Byleth
“I haven’t been doing this for long, but from what I’ve been told, it’s a violation to have anyone in your room after lights out.”
No one had snitched on the noble. Nor had Byleth caught the other in the act. He’d simply HEARD it. After all, the other’s room was right above his own. And it wasn’t as if Sylvain was the quietest of fellows. Between the giggling and the bad pick up lines - Byleth had barely been able to sleep. Though he was surprised the other had managed to convince a girl to come all the way back to Garreg Mach.
“I commend you though for not having done anything...inappropriate,” That would have been far too awkward “But I’m afraid I still can’t let this slide by.”

@flamecrest || Bylese & Byleth
It had taken so much of his strength to traverse the hill that led up to the monastery. Many times he had stumbled. Once or twice he’d fallen to his knees and had to spend a few minutes catching his breath. Though he did not have as many injuries as he SHOULD have had, his fall down the cliff nor his sleep left him unscathed. A few wounds still covered his body underneath his broken armor. Exhaustion ate away at him, making Byleth feel as if he’d never even slept at all.
“Bylese?” He called out through the deserted halls. His voice was scratchy and his throat was raw “Lady Rhea? Hanneman?”Â
No one seemed to respond to his quiet shouting. But he still pushed on, limping through the halls, even as his legs dared to give out on him.
“Bylese,” He called again “Bylese, please, answer me.”

@groznilev || X || Dimitri & Byleth
“While I appreciate you being here, you didn’t have to join me. I thought you had plans with Mercedes?”
Sitting in a pew and praying wasn’t something that he thought Dimitri would be privy to do. Granted, he never saw himself as being someone to take part in church services either. Not until he’d come to the monastery and had sudden...urges. Not bad ones! Just ones that often than not brought him to the cathedral and found him praying. Or listening in on a short sermon. Or quietly singing along to some hymn the choir was practicing.
He’d never been so pious until they’d arrived at Garreg Mach. His own father had noted the change and Byleth could not give him an answer as to why.Â
Regardless of all that, he was usually content to take a quick trip to the cathedral himself. But having company now and again was nice. Especially when it was one of his students.
“She said something about you two practicing your sewing techniques. I never thought of you as someone who sews.”

@fallofnobility || X || Vitani & Byleth
Looking at how his fellow professors did his job wasn’t a bad thing - at least he didn’t think so. He was still new to the whole professor thing after all. Unsure of how to teach a bunch of students who were merely a few years younger than him. He had little style and found his students to either fall asleep due to his monotone voice or be confused by his methods.
Thus, he wished to seek out the other professors of Garreg Mach. See how they went about teaching. See if he could get some pointers that would help his students to excel. Despite the job being THROWN at him, he didn’t wish to be a failure at it.
“Excuse me?” Vitani was the last one he sought out. The woman was rather difficult to find “Is this a bad time?”

@fatedsummoner || X || Kiran & Byleth
Byleth wouldn’t call himself a tactician. Or a strategist. Or anything close to a commander. But he WAS a mercenary - and he prided himself in knowing how other mercenaries and even bandits think. And the plan laid out before him and the summoner was more than likely to get them killed.Â
“Princess Sharena said this passageway has bandits plaguing it. I see the point in wanting to take the side roads to avoid them...but...”
Byleth took a quill and made a separate path on the math. Looking to the summoner once he was done “If the bandits here are anything like the ones in Fodlan, they will be guarding the side roads because they know people will try and travel them. The main way will be free of them. Or at least be lesser in numbers.”

@drylicu || X || Morgan & Byleth
“It wasn’t a mistake.”
Byleth truly did have an...orthodox way of how he taught his students. But in his defense, he was still getting used to the whole teaching thing. He had no prior experience save for what he’d learned as a mercenary. But he could only talk about that for so long before he was just repeating himself. He was walking new ground, and at some point he decided his students should do the same!
“You excel in magic, and are above average in swordsmanship.” At least, that was what he’d observed and wrote in the little planner book Manuela had given him. Always keep an eye on the students! So she had said.
“But I’d like to work on your riding ability. Which is why I assigned you with Marianne for stable duty. She’ll be able to help you.”

“This won’t give you extra credit, Sylvain. Now, don’t you have stable duty to be attending to?”

@heirofgautier || X || Sylvain & Byleth
He hadn’t meant to hit Sylvain so hard. His own strength, as well as the bluntness of the ruler, had surprised even him! The light tap having turned into something that sent his student stumbling forward.
“Sorry. It seems Manuela has a better time of that than me.”
That was the last time he’d take advice from his fellow professor. She’d said that giving Sylvain a firm tap now and again to discipline him would shape the student up in no time. But, erm, Byleth didn’t think that was much of his style. Perhaps it was better to just go back to his original plan and keep Sylvain after class?
“Are you all right?”

@drylic || X || Marc & Byleth
“Excuse me?”
He disliked having to ask for help. Especially when it came to asking those he hardly knew. Being summoned to that strange world still left him befuddled. Still left him with a fuzzy mind. He assumed that was SUPPOSED to happen - what with being brought there by some strange weapon. And if it wasn’t, well, he’d concern himself with it should the need arise.
At the moment, he needed to find somewhere to pray. And as far as he knew, there didn’t seem to be a church or cathedral in the Askran castle. Which made him far more anxious than it had any right to. Thus, he was forced to stop and ask for assistance.
“I’m new to this castle. Do you know if there is a church here or nearby?”
It was like his first few days back in the monastery all over again.
