Just a heads up, that I am closing requests, but will be finishing up the ones I have already been sent, thank you for sending me requests! It was a very nice refresher to change it up for a bit. I know I haven’t really posted a lot of requests, but I have a LOT more to draw- I’ve been kinda unmotivated lately, but I’m slowly getting back into it now.

I do want to say that I am not doing requests for personal oc’s. I apologize for not saying this sooner. 🙏

(Yes I do also have this in my blog’s bio, but I will be deleting that shortly.)

I do have upcoming projects for- I think you can guess, but I don’t really want to spoil much cause usually when I do I end up scrapping the idea after I hyped some people up for nothing which I hate when I do that ughrhegdn-sorry :(

But yea the main reason why I wanted to take a break from drawing Cami- and Dreamberry is one- was running out of ideas for them, and two, I was giving Camellia a slight make-over. Nothing big just proportional adjustments(HEHASKNEEECAPSNOW OMGGMGMFHHFH), color adjustments(I’ve been all over the place with the colors, and I wouldn’t consinder this drawing to be his new color palette- I gave this piece more of a pink hue- but I do want his green’s to be warmer and a little bit lighter/softer), and the biggest difference, his pupils and eyes!

I feel like his little flower pupils clashed with the design a lot since it didn’t really match with any other part of his design, these ones match a lot better now, but I still really like the flower pupils so I made it to where when he gets really excited he just go:

I also made his eye color darker, made it the same color as his scarf so you could actually see the pupils instead of having to outline it

i added the canon designs next to them bc i was going to add design notes but i gave up so im gonna write it here and you can just. look at them

OK. yapping time. lets start with cami!!

the biggest change is obviously the hair. i interpret her hair in canon to be a way for her to hide, both her evilll intentions and her true self as a way not to get hurt, it also adds to her being mysterious. i apply this not only to the bangs hiding her eyes (the windows to the soul...) but also her whole hair, that's why in the canon design i exaggerated its length and made it kind of.. curl inwards like wrapping her. its hiding her, it's protecting her, it's suffocating her, it's making her mysterious. yes i'm obsessed with her hair. the blunt cunt can also be a sort of sign of her being polished, you gotta maintan those perfect ends so it doesn't look bad.

so. in her post-canon design the hair gets CUT into a bob. that symbolizes cami being open and honest, no more hiding! no more mystery! also, she's letting people see her, she's willing to make connections, meet people, love and be loved. but it also makes her more vulnerable, she can be judged more easily, hurt again more easily, but she accepts that possibility because know she knows how to navigate life and her own emotions with the help of her friends yippieeee

also, she still has the blunt cut because at the end of the day she's still the same person, and is in fact very polished and quite serious, but the braid can get quite messy, and that shows that she's more willing to accept her own imperfections

i took the braid from the hairstyle she has in her song bc its specific to her!! no more copying joy!! but still, its similar bc joy does also wear a braid, but cami puts her own spin to it. like, instead of trying to copy and be joy, she can just take inspiration from her and admire her while keeping her own style. on the topic of personal style, i added a black petticoat under her skirt to further personalize her uniform (also it made me think of witches hehe, yes shes not gonna do evil magic anymore but that´s still one of her interests and something she has done which she has to own up to and account for) and made her ribbon curl to allude to a chameleon's tail.

longer hair!!!!!!!!! bc when he left his home he let his hair grow cuz he couldn't cut it and now he's just embraced it. it's about being rebellious, it's about rejecting gender norms, it's about embracing gender non comformity! not only can nobody tell him what to wear anymore, but also he's not letting the years of indoctrination and societal standards that still haunt his every move get to him babyyyyyyyy

i got COMPLETELY rid of any yellow or gold colors, no more golden boy persona, no more influence from the golden family, yes independence! grandpa cant get to your head anymore! now he's finally wearing the uniform, although very personalized. green sweater because green!!! when he's on his own he's shown to wear it a lot in canon!

made him wear flare pants just because i think they look fun, kind of a more fem twist ig. golden painted the pink flowers himself, they represent his bond with joy! a reference to the flower they hold in inoki and the pink used in the visuals of the song, too. the family's sexist double standards won't poison their relationship anymore!

decided to go for a ribbon instead of a tie to follow with the gnc look + because ties are considered very formal, and formal clothes are exactly what he was forced to wear, so no more! now he gets to wear normal clothes for normal situations.

i tried to make him more chubby but idk if its really that noticeable, but yea. accepting his natural bodytype

and, of course, goldami earring.

The New (and improved) Camille Reference!!!

Cami is a Galapagos Tortoise with albinism, which would put her as being much bigger than Raph buuuut she was a bit of a sickly child and experienced a major lack of nutrients bc of stuff so she’s currently about Mikey height!

Anything I may have said before about Cami could be completely different now… she really went through it… But EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE on the one hand I didn’t think I’d get this done so fast but on the other I’m having a bunch of ideas and the inability to have unfinished wips so I should’ve expected this. I actually really like how she turned and while I will miss old Cami design (rip forever) and definitely prefer the new one, for now at least.

I’ve never read the idw comics but her look was inspired somewhat by Lita from that. I’d figured out I wanted her color to be pink so I figured I’d incorporate that more in her design.

She always seeks his approval when she does something right so it was mainly for this. Beyond Life and Death,,, im so sorry my first attempt at a longfic but i really overestimated everything before i started writing it. Still hold it in my heart, since it was how I taught myself to write fanfics in general but it's a mess, honestly.

I. have no idea. I've been told I'm good at setting scene (emotional, erotic, angsty) so maybe that? Words also fly out of my mind at the speed of light whenever I am deeply dissecting a character's inner monologue, feelings and thought process AND ALSO TRAUMA, so that too.

Fixing the arc camp has proven to be harder than I thought,,, it's really damn hard to write 5 parallel stories at the same time in comic(?) Format, bc in the series it's a bit of each group per chapter (except the funtimes part but fuck them)

My idea is to just. Finish each group story and tie them up in the end. Shape of you time and they sing so bad cami dies. HE STOPS BEING A BITCHHHH AND WE LOVE THAT FOR HIM AND IIIII AMMMM GOING CRAZY. oh also Golden in that time decides to escape once they get back home but that will be a s2 problem that def wont develop Golden's father and jeffrey a bit more and realize how fucked up they actually are (maybe). And def wont end with golden left as homeless and pathetic for the joke I PROMISE I DOOOOOOOO

Okay. So. Um. The fire represents the want to have relationships (any type). Golden longs for fire (a family) Jeffrey lights it for him (show that maybe he can give him one);

but Jeffrey is the one asking for a deeper relationship to Vincent represented throught a candle (and asking for/having a date), or smth like that. Needs more work. Maybe. What matters is that Jeffrey wants more *with* vin (not of, with) while vincent thinks he overstepped wayyy to much and is in this weird attempt to gain control over it by sabotaging himself. The fire IS THERE RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM BUT IT WILL DIE IF HE WAITS TOO LONG OR IF HE BLOWS IT .. AAAAAGHHHHHHHHH. The chance is there and he has to take it. And yes Golden takes the lighter aka golden acepts the chance while vin... lets it drip..lets the wax burn him, but he will run out of time

[ … ]     ❀     you’re  not  from  around  here,  are  you?  i  figured  because  you  totally  just  missed  camilla  bennett  walking  by.  don’t  tell  me  you  don’t  know  who  she  is?  they  kind  of  look  like  samantha  logan  and  i  could  be  wrong  but  i  think  that  they  might  be  twenty  five  years  old  right  now.  they’ve  been  living  in  palmview  for  the  last  seven  years.  and  i  don’t  know  if  anyone  has  ever  told  them  this  before  but  they  kind  of  remind  me  of  spencer  hastings  from  pretty  little  liars.  if  you  stick  around  the  town  long  enough  you  might  catch  them  in  action  working  at  seaglass  heights  hospital  as  a  therapist.  you  see  this  town  isn’t  really  that  big  of  a  place,  some  folks  like  to  call  them  the  diligent  of  palmview!  they  took  a  liking  to  the  name  too  after  a  while,  go  figure.  oh  crap,  they  must  have  heard  me  yapping.  they’re  coming  this  way.  i  got  to  warn  you  though,  rumor  has  it  they  can  pretty  competitive  at  times.  i  wouldn’t  take  it  too  seriously  though,  from  the  times  i’ve  spoken  to  them  they  seemed  pretty  independent  to  me.  we  see  each  other  all  the  time  since  they  live  in  that  three  bedroom  apartment  beside  me  over  in  mango  bay.  i  better  leave  you  to  it.  it  was  nice  meeting  you!

a  patient  child,  a  child  that  her  parents  never  thought  would  enter  the  world,  but  that  never  stunted  any  sense  of  love  they  had  for  their  daughter.  that  was  their  pride  and  joy,  someone  that  they  held  close  to  their  heart.  father  holding  her  up  to  show  everyone  in  his  agency  while  mother  would  pride  herself  with  photos  are  her  office.  camilla  bennett  knew  nothing  but  the  spotlight,  from  the  moment  she  was  wrapped  tightly  in  a  bundle  and  put  into  the  arms  of  her  mother.  

it  didn't  help  that  growing  up  meant  everything  was  a  competition.  if  cami  was  tired,  her  father  was  more  tired  from  running  an  agency  with  himself  and  only  himself.  if  she  had  a  headache,  her  mothers  body  ached  since  giving  birth.  once  old  enough  to  push  back  to  their  ideals,  she  was  no  longer  the  daughter  of  their  dreams;  they  saw  her  as  someone  they  needed  to  compete  with.  bringing  home  the  best  grades  in  the  class  wasn't  enough  because  she  could've  studied  harder  and  gotten  extra  points  if  she  dedicated  herself  enough.

she  tried  to  be  the  best  daughter,  bringing  him  the  best  grades,  having  outstanding  recommendations  and  even  joining  every  extracirricular  that  they  wanted  her  to  join.  she  was  burning  herself  out  at  the  age  of  fifteen,  struggling  to  stay  awake  during  the  days  and  drinking  coffee  late  into  the  evening  so  she  could  get  extra  hours  of  sleep  in  the  evenings.  but  it  never  seemed  like  it  was  enough,  her  father  saying  her  last  goal  could've  been  smoother  and  her  mother  critiquing  every  landing  she  would  make  during  gymnastics  or  ballet.

at  the  age  of  sixteen,  cami  began  partying  almost  every  night  but  rarely  getting  reprimended  for  it,  as  her  parents  rarely  paid  attention  to  her  anymore.  grades  began  to  slip,  which  caused  a  sense  of  anxiety  to  course  through  her  veins  late  into  the  nights.  lip  picking,  cuticle  picking  and  hidden  panic  attacks  were  slowly  becoming  a  regular.  even  though  she  was  far  from  failing,  her  grades  were  not  where  she  had  wanted  them.  staying  in  was  not  always  an  option,  causing  cami  to  fake  illnesses  quite  a  bit  to  stay  home  so  she  could  study  while  her  parents  left  for  work.

graduation  showcased  the  smartness  of  the  bennett  woman,  getting  to  stand  up  in  front  of  her  peers  and  make  a  speech,  although  last  minute,  cami  ended  up  avoiding  the  podium  and  unable  to  catch  her  breath.  how  was  she  supposed  to  talk  to  her  peers  about  graduating  and  enjoying  the  college  experience  when  her  parents  guilted  her  into  beliving  she  wasn't  good  enough?  in  the  end,  cami  did  not  speak  as  valedictorian   rushing  home  to  hide  in  her  bedroom  until  the  celebrations  that  night,  where  her  mask  was  filled  with  jokes  regarding  her  monthly  and  loud  laughter.

it  didn't  take  long  for  cami  to  pack  her  bags  and  fight  her  way  out  of  the  house.  she  wasn't  going  to  be  ignored,  challenged  or  emotionally  abused  anymore;  moving  to  palmview  where  she  knew  a  few  people  for  college.  arriving  at  the  beginning  of  summer  and  allowing  herself  time  to  enjoy  the  sun  and  just  be.  cami  slowly  began  to  find  her  footing  at  the  young  age  of  eighteen;  working  part  time  jobs  around  the  university  while  getting  her  social  work  and  psychology  degree.

now,  hardened  due  to  her  upbringing,  camilla  is  someone  that  many  people  want  to  know  but  rarely  are  able  to.  having  a  small  close-knit  friend  group,  she  keeps  to  herself.  unable  to  trust  anyone  around  her  and  making  sure  to  throw  herself  in  her  job  and  dance  classes  rather  than  going  out  and  enjoying  her  twenties.  it's  uncommon  to  ever  see  the  guard  be  torn  down,  it  being  built  for  so  many  years  and  concreted  in  its  spot.

this is about your "likely scenarios" and "what would have happened if Violetta had bumped into someone else in Episode 1" (w/ Francesca)

i feel like it would've been "the rain scene"

and francesca was probably on her way to the studio and either overslept or wasted too much time on the phone yapping with cami and maxi as she was eating breakfast/preparing herself

and now she was (fashionably) late (as always)

the circumstances don't really matter because she would've been way too much into her own world to even realise that it was starting to rain

until it started pouring HARD but she couldn't turn back (aka didn't want to) because "she already went so far" (she was too lazy to do it)

for this scene i actually have two options in mind: 1. before running out of her house her mother reminded her of her jacked and she picked it up (but kept it on her arm as she was running) and she used that to cover her head (because she was so caught up in everything that she felt like stopping to put on the jacket would've made me lose way more time) or 2. she didn't hear (or ignored) her mothers words and ran out without it but then used her backpack as a way to shield herself from the rain (which would've made a mess either way)

while this is happening there is the usual scene of violetta picking up her pace as she notices that it's starting to rain harder

and then the "slip"

Francesca and Violetta's path crossed and Fracesca is barely slower than her, which allows her to see the girl walk right past her and she throws her backpack in the mudd to be able to catch her

(i feel like it wouldn't play out like Tomás's exagerated catch but something more like a "casquè" type of catch (like the dance figure)

This would knock the air out of Violetta and impress her so fucking much actually like, "wow, oh she really did that. That was... THE COOLEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO ME" (which wouldn't be too far-fetched since she has always been controlled and never had a real relationship or close/meaningfull friendships/dynamics since she moves away way too fast to even be able to have that)

this all happens very quickly in practice but it feels like hours passed as Violetta was caged into her arms

the same thing didn't happen to Francesca at least until she turned her head down and looked into her eyes (poor Vilu probably had the most terrified/open-eyes bambi look on her face since she almost feel and made a fool of herself infront of this "very cool" and "very pretty" stanger

anyway, after Francesca realises that she's staring TOO MUCH at her she quickly almost catapult Vilu on her feet with all the strenght she put into her push

and take her backpack from the mudd and starts to ramble in the most random way about how "she's late" and that "she hopes that she's okay but needs to be more careful" and how this "gregorio is gonna cut her head and put it on a silver plate if this other person (spoiler: angie) isn't there, since she's way more understanding and would still scold her but she would get it" as she was trying to make it (the backpack) look at least decent

(and she wasn't really talking TO Vilu, it was more about talking AT HER, to take her mind off what just happened and how she made a "fool out of herself")

Vilu at the same time is probably stopping her mid-phrases trying to say that "she's so sorry" and that "she would be more careful the next time" and maybe even saying that she wants to repay her by buying her a new backpack (and Fran is way too deep into her own bullshit to listen fully to her, because if she did she would've insisted and said no)

just pure chaos

at the end she gives up on cleaning her backpack

takes violetta by the end and then they quickly cross the street together

Francesca takes a few steps with her usual quick pace and then turns back to her one more time and she wave her hand as a way to say goodbye

as she disappears running into the other side of the road Violetta is probably staying still trying to process all that just happened

and then she would probably just shake her head and go on with her day, while keep thinking from time to time about the "mysterious girl"

This is before their canonical meeting, and I feel that if things went this way, Violetta would have for sure recognized her from that day, while Fran was probably way too overwhelmed with everything happening in the studio and her family, and Luca always bringing up what her family has sacrificed to be able to let her frequent the school that she probably wouldn't have been able to recognize her straight away (at least until she told her).
