I finally fulled updated my fursona!
They're also just, me.
Ares is also the creation god of my oc universe which is awesome.
Context: A calygreyhound is a heraldry monster invented by the De Vere house of Oxford. It is a fusion of a wildcat's head, a dear's body and antlers, a lion's tail, an eagle's talons, and either lion or oxen hind legs. And I've decided to treat it as my fursona because it's fun and cool.
The accessory panels and shackle are references to older sonas of mine that weren't furries but still significant points.

Today I learnt that the Calygreyhound is a thing.
No it is not a dog, it is a medieval heraldic creature who had the head of a wildcat, torso of a deer or antelope, forelegs and occasionally wings of an eagle, antlers or horns, hooves, hind legs of a lion or ox and a tufted tail.
I genuinely want to doodle this thing-

Small
It was really a beautiful beast, with great antlers and a pelt patterned like a leopard in shades of grey and gold. This one’s head was less like a cat and more like a dragon, longer, and with bared fangs. They also had wings, small, feathered ones raised in a defensive posture.
Charles was not particularly impressed. Sure, they were a pretty one, but he had a job to do.
“Peace, Heraldic One. We need not fight today.”
The hound cocked their head at Charles, fanged mouth opening in surprise.
“Thou dost speak, human? Clever one, who knows the history too. But if thou wishes to stop me, we shall fight. For this land was mine, and it was my favoured one’s land, but thine people have taken it. I must reclaim it.”
Charles sighed. “Calygreyhound, I have no wish to come to blows. But if thou dost not yield, I shall fight.”
The beast grinned. “Then we shall fight, clever one.”

1. Saw the MLP oc named "Esse" and I want to know more about them
2. Will their be a timeskip in your MLP rewrite since since the child lf Ember and Sunburst, Ocellus is an teen by the time Twi opens the school of friendship?
1: Esse is the god of creation! (BUT not life! Big difference here, similar to cosmos isn’t god of death she’s god of destruction) Its the counterpart to cosmos :3 and maybe I might tie it into being the tree of harmony spirit or filling a similar role, basically just the rws equivalent of a more traditional “god” figure think kinda like how Pokemon has arceus mlp rw has esse. It’s a calygreyhound (a mythological creature that’s usually described as having the head of a wildcat/lynx, antelope body , bird legs and hooves, lion tail, and sometimes horns/antlers or wings but that depends on the depiction) I took more from the lynx with antlers/wings side of it, if I draw a full body I might toy with the claws and hooves combo !
2: (I think you mixed up the names there lol I’ve not done anything s ember (yet?)) but yes! The school will be a small timeskip! Not in the Future future like from the last episode, but more like a middle ground between that and say s7, I wanna use the school to let twilight prepare for princess duties (being away from her friends/doing things on her own + deal with students (subjects) + paperwork)
I’ve actually talked about both of these topics in previous posts! Here and here :3
I love you send this ask right as I’m literally drawing school related art rn (which will be posted soon)

I’m kinda new to this because I only recently came to terms with being otherkin (I believe that’s the proper term?). I don’t exactly know what it is, it’s not really an existing animal and I’ve never seen anything like it. I’ve tried imagining what it would look like, but the only way I can describe it is a being with both feline and cervidae features. Anyways, I don’t wanna fill the ask with the entire description 😅.
1. Do you have any names based on nature, entities/deities, or forests? Could also be cervidae and feline related if it makes it any easier.
2. Based on my tiny description, do you have any idea of something that could fit that description? (Also, would you want me to fully describe it how I can?)
That’s all for now, sorry for the long read! 😞
here , here , here and here !!
Otherkin is identifying as anything nonhuman, and therian is identifying as any animal ( it's under the otherkin/alterhuman umbrella ) and it includes mythic animals as well if that helps at all !! Species-wise- I searched a bit and there's such a thing as a calygreyhound and just a cat deer hybrid in general I guess ?? I'm not sure I'm sorry !!

Mythic Creatures by Culture & Region
Part 3: Europe (Basque, Rome, Viking, Great Britain)
This list documents mythological and folkloric creatures of Ancient Europe, the British Isles and Scandinavia as found on Wikipedia.
European creatures from Eastern Europe, France, Germany, Italy, Greece etc. will be listed in a separate post. The same goes for Biblical creatures or creatures from Abrahamic religions and Goetia literature. The full list of creatures is here.
Basque
Basque people live in what is today northern Spain. Their language is the only surviving language in Europe that isn't part of the Indo-European family tree, likely because the Basques live in secluded mountain areas. Day twenty three of No One Except @mr-orion Asked November (NoOneExOriAskNov). Happy Turkey Day to the Americans out there, and Happy Normal Thursday to everyone else.

Some Chatter & Melody stuff today. The four most recent Record-Keepers of London Branch, only three of which are guaranteed to still actually exist in the present day.
The sad old man is Thomas ‘Tripwire’ Skinner, a devotee of the Mimic and the Speculation both. He just up and disappeared one day, only ever being spotted in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew later.
The waist coat girl is Alexia ‘Lichen’ Ruby, a devotee of the Monument. She broke half her ribs, a radius, the opposite ulna, and a tooth in a very bad raid-on-a-suspected-cult-hideout-gone-wrong.
The guy with planetary rings is Hudson ‘Voyager’ Calderón, a devotee of the Beyond. He lost an eye, two fingers, four teeth, and a not insignificant portion of the skin on his legs to a very angry group of anti-nuclear-protesters-turned-rabid-victims-of-homemade-magic-nerve-gas. And a flamethrower.
The guy with paws and horns is Ernest ‘Hunting Horn’ Killingsworth, a half-calygreyhound and devotee of the Chatter. He hasn’t had anything completely career-ruining happen to him yet.

Little Lynn: Glad your last words are honest ones. You're still gonna die though. No doctor can reconnect your spinal cord and no magic is going to be wasted on fixing you, sooooo... Bye-bye!

The Calygreyhound is a Chimera-like Heraldic Beast found in medieval mythology. The Calygreyhound is described as a Chimera-like creature with the head of a cat, a lion’s tail, the body of an antelope, the front kegs of an eagle, and the hid legs of a bull though sometimes it is depicted as having the hindquarters of a fish and is said to be very fast. The Calygreyhound is the Heraldic Beast of the De Vere family who were the Earls of Oxford.
