I am obsessed with these answers from Callum Blue - the way his joy at being on the show pours off the page as you reach is answers - its such a joy and he seems really fun and like he’s a great first with the main cast.

The fact he’s revealed that they’re gonna have Eddies arc go though another person external to his life - that they’re going to parallel Eddie with Brad - talking about Brad not knowing what is real - that everything is an act - a performance!! Well doesn’t that just describe what Eddie has been doing his entire life and that excites me.

There is something really interesting in Eddie being able to get clarity and guidance from outside the firefam - that that outside voice is valuable to him - we don’t know if he’s still seeing Frank, but that’s not relevant - the fact is that the act of talking to and getting advice from Frank in therapy has helped Eddie figure out that talking to and taking advice from people outside of his sphere - ones who have experience in whatever aspect of himself Eddie is questioning - that that is really valuable and helpful to him.

So with that in mind - I feel fairly confident that the Eddie and Brad scene is likely to be connected to the concept of divorce and failed marriages - describing it as a core wound is really interesting and telling. It will allow Eddie the outside perspective he needs to actually move on from Shannon and recognise that a failed marriage doesn’t make him a failure.
