Bro I haven’t used my Meat the Sullivan’s account in so long. I miss that family and their choas. I need to try to start writing for them again. Maybe proper stories this time if I don’t always have the energy for Roleplay

Things worked out in the end for everyone

I find it so funny how much Cade uses her dad as an excuse in her relationship with Conrad. After their sexy time. She wanted to leave and Conrad said he wouldn’t let he go this time. And her excuse was that she was worried about her dad. Which I get but that doesn’t have anything to do with her not wanting to take the next step and have breakfast with Gigi. Looking back at their relationship they had some good and cute moments but the problem was at they also had some terrible ones. Eventually the cute moment decreased and the terrible ones increased. Conrad wasn’t all in with Cade but like he said he tried to make things work. Like asking her to join them for breakfast and spend more time with Gigi. But Cade also wasn’t all in. She wasn’t ready to be a part of the Hawkins life. Then it looked to me like Conrad stopped asking. Maybe he was afraid to push her away or maybe he was afraid to face the truth that they just weren’t working. By the time Cade wanted to be all in with Conrad he had kissed Billie and moved on. This was just a disaster from the beginning. On the surface level Conrad and Cade were cute together but on a deeper level oh boy they were a mess. They were acting like people who had only been together for 2 months not 7 months.

When Conrad says he tried to make this relationship work with cade, he wasn't lying.

Conrad was actually the one putting in the effort to spend time with Cade or have her spend time with Gigi.

However, their entire relationship was centered majorly on her and her dad. Indeed, he wasn't all in, but she also wasn't. She wasn't ready to fully be a part of his life and I guess Conrad sensed that. He did seem to always walk on eggshells around her because she was always more invested in her dad.

Unfortunately, by the time she was ready to be all in, he had moved on. And I don't think that's any fault of his. Sometimes, people just don't work. And that's ok.

hehe, Sully is officially out of slasher retirement. He will now be killing again in America 🤭 he got over his whole “I have to be a better person” thing, cause you should do what you’re good at, and he’s good at killing, and keeping his family safe.

Candy just likes to sit there so times and watch her siblings “attack” Cade, aka love bombing him. They legit will latch onto his legs and not let him leave. And they like to giggle behind there pairs back because “sissy has a boyfriend”.

These kids have no idea that if they were just a little older and pulling this shit, Cade would have already stabbed on of them. But what can I say, Cade has a soft spot for children. He’ll complain the whole time he’s with them, but he’ll never lift a finger to stop them or attempt to leave.

He knows full well Candy would poison him if he hurt a kid, let alone one of her siblings. So he just sits there with a straight face or a frown the entire time, but will continue to play with the kids. He’s let them do his hair, makeup, nails, climb all over him, talk nonsense at him for hours, fall asleep on him durring movie nights…

Since he’s behaving, Candy will sometimes just walk up and kiss his cheek or the top of his head, when she’s walking between rooms, or making the little ones snacks, or anything. But she’s not heartless, if Cade is very obviously not having a good day, she’ll shoo her siblings away and drag him away for some alone time. He’ll just lay his head on her legs while she stokes his hair.

Sully can see that Candy is clearly good for him, which is why he allows Cade to spend as much time as he wants over there. As long as it’s keeping him relatively out of trouble (or at least not getting any of them caught or noticed) Sully will allow it.

He was worried at first that Cade would end up hurting or killing Candy, of course that was before he found out about Candy’s secret. Of course he knows. Sully wouldn’t let someone intertwine themselves this deeply in their lives, without knowing everything about them first. Cade got his stalker tendencies from his brother.

Sully also had it reconfirmed that Cade is very serious about Candy, when Cade threatened him after finding out Sully had watched her. It basiclly eent like this.

[Cade bursts into Sully’s office fuming]

[Sully raises a brow at the younger boy]

“Can I help you?”

“Stay away from my girlfriend before Dipper has to grow up without her father as well-“

[Sully would be surprised, but isn’t stupid enough to try and aggravate the boy further. He knows Cade wouldn’t actually kill him, but he’d still rather avoid being stabbed by his brother again. So he agrees to stop stalking the young girl and just ask her questions like a normal person]

Dipper likes seeing her Uncle with the young girl. Cade never really smiles, but he’s not a fairly scowling the whole time he’s around her. And Dipper likes it’s when Cade is in a good mood, because he’s a little nicer when Candy’s around. She reigns him in. Cade is defiant against his brother cause he’s in his “you’re not my dad!” Phase, but also, he killed his own father so it’s not like that would even make a difference.

Cade slowly finds himself picking up random things that remind him of Candy or her siblings and she thinks it’s adorable when he brings little gifts to the house. Like-

“I saw this rock and I figured one of the gremlins would like it, it’s shaped like a bird-“

Cade is an artists at heart. He does find beauty in a lot of things, sure he prefers more morbid things, but he does enjoy crafting with his niece and the other little one. He would entirely organise a water ballon fight, but fill the balloons with paint-

What can we say, he likes “corrupting” the little ones. He’s never take it to the level where he’s actually showing them how to do bad things. But he does tell them stuff like “if someone tries to touch you and you don’t like it, scream, kick, bite or run.”

Just don’t be dumb enough to point out you’ve noticed these soft spots he has. He will deny it and insult you until the sun comes up. But we all see you Cade, you can’t hide from this 👀

Sully despite not having many interactions face to face with the girl yet, does consider her part of the family. He’s never seen his brother care this deeply about a living things before, besides Little Dip. The only time he would dare punish Cade by not allowing him to see Candy, is if Cade did something that almost got them caught. But he sees it less as a punishment and more as a lesson that Cade needs to learn. He’d can’t be sloppy and rule with his emotions.

Sully doesn’t want Candy to end up like His Daffodil. Sully entirely blames himself for Dipper’s mothers death. And he would hate to see Cade fall to the same fate. He would never do to Cade what his parents did to him. They took away the love of his life, and tried to take his baby. That’s not a fate Sully wishes for his younger brother to ever have to understand as deeply as he does. Silly misses Daffodil everyday, but if he keeps all his focus on Dip, it hurts a little less. She looks so much like her mother though, that sometimes it’s hard for him.

I started rewatching s5 and I will say the writers certainly tried with ConCade. Unfortunately, the moment they came together they were bleh. There was no chemistry, they weren't natural. It felt like it took a lot of effort for them to be a couple. They never merged. I preferred the friendship they had in s5 to whatever they ended up having in s6. It's like the idea of them was far better than the execution. The moment they got together they just went downhill. I will say I love Conrad and Cade working as the go team they work incredibly well together. Their romance however, nope try again.

Anon, that's it right there. Aside from the fact that they do not have the romantic chemistry to pull it off, there was just so much going on in there with them. You can see the effort in putting them together. You can see they TRIED to get them together. Kinda like how Conrad tried too.

Whereas with Conllie, everything felt so natural. It wasn't forced. They just fit.

I also agree that they work well together professionally especially as the go team and that's where it should have stopped. I thought the go team was an innovative storyline for Conrad and I think Cade rocked it.

And that's why I will forever love these writers and Amy(exec). You have to be able to write your characters as you go. You have to be flexible and willing to see which characters have chemistry and act on it. The thoughts or plans you have for the characters might be different when they are displayed on screen by the actors. And you have to be able to work with these different changes.
