"If this is something I must do, then I shall do it. For the sake of the people." Cale pulls away from his father and walks closer to the Crown Prince. He kneels down on one knee and places his hand over his chest, lowering his head.

Alberu is staring at him in shock. His stomach churns unpleasantly. It feels like he ate something rotten.  No. This is more akin to eating poison. 

Alberu looks pale as he stares down Cale with trembling eyes.  He feels nauseated. The expression on Cale's face is making his heart clench painfully. It make his skin prickle uncomfortably.  Why does the sight of Cale looking at him like that made him feel disgusted?

Cut Yourself On My Glass Plate

The Henituse twins. They have switched places. Instead of the younger one holding the sword to the enemy’s throat, it is the older one taking control. 

It is Rok Soo that is sitting atop the beast of death. It is the elder twin that is taking the position of the aggressor. 

He does not look like the feeble young master Silver Shield.

He looks exactly like the demon that people call his younger twin.

They are nearly indistinguishable.

Identical.

-Chapter 242

With the fic nearing it's final chapter, the epilogue, I drew this just as a final hurrah. I tried a new way to shade and it was fun. This came out better than I thought.

I'm very tempted to rant about the themes of the character of my fic. There are arcs I have planned for them. Like Hans' character arc is about learned helplessness. Cale is about the cycle of self harm and abuse. There's a lot of story I have planned and I really wanna talk about it.

so... uhm finally got the courage to read your cut yourself on my glass plate and oh boi my soul just shattered:'> ive been avoiding it because i couldn't handle ogcale angst but... got spoiled quite a lot (reading the trip of twins too early–) i saw your arts too and they are so amazing that im curious about the story;;

i love your depiction of characters, how the situation unfolds and the way i could immerse myself in it not just as a reader but a part of it. i couldn't say much because im just at... chapter 4... barely a speck of dust but i love and adore it so much

just wanna say that you are amazing, your writing shone and your art conveys many things that only solidified the written words. you are one of the reasons why i give up and installed tumblr for the first time in my life, im too shy to comment on ao3 and sometimes i kinda think i might look like attention grubber cz im reading late and giving kudos late. so im here sending you an ask:") i just hope you read and know how much precious you are to me. thank you for delivering such soulful story, im gonna read it till the end no matter how long it will get!

( ・∇・) that sounds really fun!! I wanna hear more about what their interactions would be like (what you/anyone think they’d be like)

I can think of scenarios and all of them are fun (I have a bad vocabulary, apologies in advance, I just don’t know what word but fun would describe how I’m feeling! This is really a fun idea!)

[ItB] Cale is a weirdly ominous but lighthearted, and a little too carefree guy with many secrets, and CYOMGP Cale is a guy who’s been through a lot, but has survived through that all and he’s slowly healing. So I feel like their interactions would be cool to see

As for the Choi Han’s, ah, that’d really be such a scenario to behold 😭 Regressor Choi Han(who’s slowly spiraling because of like. Everything, poor guy!) and CYOMGP Choi Han who’s also kinda going through it but has a lot of character development. I think they’d get along, maybe. I feel like the part that would shock them the most is how different the dynamics are in the universes haha.

[ItB] has a lot of lore and backstory for OG!ChoiCale that has yet to be shown(usually it’s hinted at through a random sentences lol) but since the characters know of their past but not really anyone else, the four of them interacting would be reeeaaalll interesting…

I think it would be interesting (angsty) if the OG! ChoiCale from Cut Yourself On My Glass Plate met themselves from [In the Borderline].

I had a funny thought. Every time I update a new chapter, some poor soul thought "Oh, this fic sounds interesting? Maybe I'll check it out."

They innocently click on the link and realized, very quickly, that the story is 200+ chapters. "Oh... perhaps this is not going to be a light read."

If they continued, they'd realize that it is filled to the brim with pain, tears, misery, despair, and so much OG Cale PAIN.

To the brave souls who started this fic when it's in its two hundreds chapters, and stayed through it all, you've got spine XD

CYOMGP Cale would keep trying to pick a fight with [ItB] Choi Han because he's traumatised and used to it. It'll be up to Choi Han to fall into the same trap as CYOMGP Choi Han or actually take a step back and figure out WHY Cale is doing that.

But also, get ready to run cause Cale has very strong glass powers.

How do you think [ItB] Choi Han would react to the way CYOMGP treats Cale? The way that he looks for reasons and takes any miniscule reason to hurt him?

Very pissed off, I'd say. Especially if he has a stronger moral code than CYOMGP Choi Han, who is more cruel and sadistic than any other OG Choi Han. Unless he believes in CYOMGP Choi Han that Cale is evil and therefore deserves the pain.
