Laudna, Ashton, and Orym in CR C3 E59.

Alt text: A stick figure person labeled "life," rides a wrecking ball labeled "another tantalizing event," toward a person who is almost finished building a big card tower who is labeled "all the progress I made to be happy again." End description.

The way Ashton and Orym have such casual contact during combat. Orym springing off Ashton's shoulders, Ashton shouting an encouragement at him, the hurt fading in the adrenaline of battle. They're a pair, they trust each other. How long since either of them had someone up front with them, holding the line and watching each others' backs?
I'm emotional about the tanks.

lmao that post where anon confirms a callowpea + some other character 3some is lowkey making me wanna catch up with cr lmao (used to watch c3 but got behind a couple months ago and haven't had time to watch several billion hours of it to catch up)
you should and actually right now might be the perfect time to watch again bc its basically like a mini-campaign within the campaign is happening and a new one is starting this thursday. so u could just watch e59 without having to watch a billion hours and probably get the gist. do it for the chetney threesome. do it for me

Ashton's so far past fuck-it nihilism they're practically dissociating at this point. It's only a matter of time until they say "none of this is real, anyway"

I think that pause and that "no" was very telling. What exactly it was about we don't know for sure, though of course we can guess, but if it was just about Will, Orym wouldn't have hesitated to say, "Not anymore" or "I lost him" or anything he's already said earlier in the campaign when asked. Instead, he got quiet, he thought about the question, and simply replied "No".
There are so many unsaid things going on in that pause!

That was a very, *very* long pause, Orym. 👀
"Do you have someone?"
"No."

Orym calling Ludinus a "piece of shit" is *so* satisfying.
