Listening to Cooldown, and Nick's analysis of the Dawnfather's assumption that the Matron's predecessor--the one who looked back at oblivion, the one who wondered if "away was better", wanted it enough that the Matron was able to do what she did, because his arrogance and blindspot will not let him think the mortals are that dangerous and capable, is a little glimpse of the Dawnfather met by the PCs in the modern era across the 3 campaigns.

And I like he's keeping that aspect in mind, even as he plays Ayden as a young cleric of the Everlight (who "committed to the bit" of their mortal existences the hardest).

And yeah, which of the group is "the god riding a mortal body" versus the ones who really meld their current mortal perspective over their divine nature is fascinating, and makes sense for each.
