NEW AU - CrackerTale

This AU revolves around Sans, who was created by somebody whose creativity overflowed out of them into their creations. Due to the disappearance of the Creator, only Sans was created.

Because of the Creator's leaked creativity, Sans also became an innovator, and he was enchanted by the art of programming.

When he met Ink, he learnt of Alternate Universes and was inspired by them. Every time Ink visited, he begged Ink to show him another.

With this new found inspirations, he created and created by coding and coding until he ended up with his very own version of the Underground, and the Surface. He didn't create anybody else just yet, he felt content on his own, and with the occasional visits from Ink.

One day, he got a brilliant idea, to create a new AU!

But there was one thing that he didn't know how to create, people, characters with backstories and the sort - he just wasn't gifted in that aspect.

"Maybe I should just give up." he ended up blurting out to Ink.

Ink, unhappy with his friend’s codeblock, reminded him of the many Alternate Universes, and that if he needed so inspiration or something to learn from, to ask him. He even mentioned looking at Classic’s world.

Coder, nicknamed by Ink because of his love for code, was inspired.

In fact, he asked Ink right away to accompany him to the doodlesphere. After all, maybe there was something to get from Classic. His code. It wouldn’t hurt, right?

Spoiler alert: it did hurt.

More about Coder:

Very impressionable, and influenced easily. As a result, he ends up mirroring other people’s behaviours, even if he’s only spent a short amount of time with them. Ink noticed one day when Coder met Dream, and despite it embarrassing Coder, Ink named it Chameleon-ing.

Due to his impressionability, he started many similarities to Ink, as Ink was the only person he knew for majority of his existence. As such, he shares Ink’s love for all forms of art.

His favourite form of art is music, just below programming. It allows him to pass the time quickly, and he finds that he works faster with background noise. He loves bringing back music from the various AUs on his trips with Ink.

Once, Ink had asked Coder to teach him something, anything. And that’s when he learnt that Coder couldn’t teach at all. Despite his amazing work, Coder was useless as a guide, unless his student could speak fluent stutter and mutter. Ink soon learnt to observe, and to not ask.

Coder is a perfectionist, which leads to points where he doesn’t want to interact with anybody or anything for a long period of time. Ink usually forces him out of this by taking him to see newly formed AUs.

His favourite Sans is Murder, he loves angst and sad stuff, he says it makes him feel alive. Although, he does say that Swap!Papyrus comes close second. Ink and Dream tried to say that Papyrus isn’t a Sans, but Coder argued that was a version of Sans, so he could count as one.

People pleaser. This mostly is shown when he ends up being afraid to disagree to people he talks to, however, he’s been able to creep out of his shell. Though, sometimes he catches himself saying something blunt and rude, and it sticks in his mind.

Okay, now my turn to speak about him. Originally was going to be named Hacker, but an AU already existed of that name. I’m glad though, because if it didn’t I wouldn’t have the Coder that loves to code. I wanted him to be a more positive character, because I love having OC’s that cheer me up, but of course, no one’s perfect so I want to give him some flaws. Anyway, he’s an important character of a comic I’m working on ‘CMAUs’, so yipee!!! I should be able to draw him soon so I’m super excited for when I have time.

I have no idea if I’m missing anything but I lowkey am so cold right now I can’t even think. So I think it’s time I stop yapping 😔😭

Very much enjoying Snake features! idk if you’ve answered this before or if it would be spoilers, but when and how the heck was he bit by a fangpire? I think Lloyd releases serpentine later than him being trapped in prime empire?

But mostly I wanna know Jay’s elbows.

EEEE YES i love talking about the cabinet man huehue

so first up, jay being part serpentine has nothing to do with the actual serpentine themselves, funny enough! jay just loved snakes and since prime empire is a game where you can give yourself whatever cosmetics you want, jay gave himself a bunch of snake-like features. he also has some custom moves that give him more snake-like abilities, unagami coded them in for him before their, err..... falling out.

the tail has always been pretty bulky and jay can choose whether or not it's showing, but since that isn't how things work outside the game, it ends up kind of... growing into his actual body once he's outside the game. it ends up being MUCH smaller in the real world which jay's grateful for - he goes through quite the self-conscious arc from feeling different than others
